I am a former tech and a VERY meticulous (OCD) car owner, so I'll say that Fadi and his team not only goes out of their way to provide you with quality, efficient SERVICE, but they know when something isn't done 100% and will put it back on the lift and get it done ... 100%. In the automotive repair industry, there's NO such thing as a "perfect fix". We all know that. Cars come into shops with all sorts of history, all sorts of drivers, with all sorts of problems, symptoms, and all sorts of excuses. We can't expect ANY shop to get you the lowest price, best service, with an accurate quality repair ALL the time. But what you can expect here, at Midas Poway, is that Fadi's team will navigate all of that, treat you with utmost respect, they will not oversell (they don't need to), and they will strive to get it done, on time. They will try to fit you in and help you in a bind, and if their fix is missing something on their test drive, they will throw it back on and get it done, even if it takes the extra 30 minutes. That's the best you can ask for. And you know what, they actually do get it right. They do it for a fraction of what you'd pay the dealer, with full transparency, and exponentially better quality. Absolutely great. Went in for an oil change no appointment. They had my car in the shop within 10 minutes. Owner and his family (team) are fantastic. I not only witnessed this first hand but with another customer who was there as well. I have a Mercedes Benz and they were able to provide me with the best oil for my car. I'm new to this area and had been looking for this specific oil, I called several oil change places and none had it. I haven't been doing business at Midas. One day I picked up my granddaughter there, the manager got my attention to tell me one of my backup lights was burnt out. He offered to change it for me at my convenience. Well, why not. So I came back 3 weeks later because I also need my windshield wipers replaced. They keep dragging and making some annoying, awful noise. Backup, for a minute, my son goes to Midas for all his mechanical needs on his vehicles. Now I see why? Fahdi (not sure of spelling) the manager, replaced my burnt out backup light and replaced my windshield wipers without any charges!! I did offer to pay at least for the parts but he refused. Now that is service with courtesy! He values my son's business, that's how he showed his appreciation! I think I will go back to see Fahdi again for any of my future car maintenance. Grateful to Fadi and his team for their true 100% commitment to their customers. I had gone to the dealership with an issue and they took almost a full week just to "diagnose" the issue. Once they determined what they thought the issue was, it wasn't even related to what I had brought the vehicle in for and they quoted over $4,000 to complete the repair. I had an A/C issue 8 weeks ago. They told me that it was the Freon gas issue. Filled the gas and paid about $180. Within two weeks, again A/C does work, the driver side getting very hot air. Went to Midas shop and they told me that it was a valve and told me that my brake pad had to be repaired. A month ago I went to another shop in Poway and told me that my break pad was fine. In both of these issues, the shop did not show me a picture of the damaged part and charged me close to $1000. I do not trust this Midas, Po way store. Beware of the service and ask them to provide a picture or the old part. After driving, the issue came back, I can reset it by going to a very low temperature after starting the vehicle. I complained to their customer service and they told me to go to the Shop. The Service Manager was very agitated since he came to know that I complained and he said he would charge me again for checking. Then he found out that I could reset and run in very cold temperatures, he just gave me the key and went to the store. He said no repair was required and went inside. I am taking it to the trusted Master mechanic shop in Poway for repair. read more

This shop has very great customer service, but don't let it fool you!! They really fucked up my car! Cheap brakes & the serpentine drive belt, have since been replaced 6 months later!! On the brakes, I took it back to Midas about a week later because I was still hearing squeaking and they did a test drive, but nothing more. The issue was truly never resolved. read more

They are not honest, showed me videos and pictures of another vehicle claimg it was mine. My vehicle seized and they said pay for my rental and never did. They said they would cover the cost of repairs to my vehicle caused since they last worked on it, Gone back on that too! My vehicle did not right for the two weeks that I continued to bring it back to them, they never provided me paperwork after my initial visit of what else had been done to my vehicle, just verbally told me, for instance they Jb welded the hole in my transmission cover. They accused me of causing the damage to the transmission I will never go back, they said they did a bunch work but never showed me proof. This place was recommended to me by a former neighbor. We often use their services specially for oil changes because they have those coupons that you could download from their website since I have my trusted mechanics so it's not often that I bring my vehicle to them to do repair until now. My mechanic went on vacation and I needed to have my brakes fixed because it's making squeaking noises. I wanted my brakes serviced immediately, so I decided to give them a try. They gave me a free break check up to see the extent of what needs to be repaired and once they found out what needs to be replaced they gave me an estimate and I was really surprised because it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be. Fadi assured me that they will work on my car and finish it as soon as possible. Less than three hours I was out with my car with new brakes. The quality of work was really good. Best of all what I really liked about them was the quality of the materials they used on my car was definitely not cheap. I also found out that they do tires as well. Driving through from out of town when our car broke down- every other mechanic we called was either busy, closed, or tried to over charge us. I went in for what was thought to be an electrical issue with my driver side headlight. The cost for the electrician / tech's time just to do the diagnostic was going to be several hundred dollars. When the tech reported that he didn't find any electrical issues, the sales manager Jeffrey Gonzalez, waived the cost of the investigation time. Certainly, they could have charged me since I did sign their form saying that I agreed to the cost of the investigation time, but it was a pleasant surprise to not spend money that way.
