I just gotten my car from Midas Langley and they replace the rotors and brake front pads. The attendant was very pleasant and the service looks good. When I arrived at home I noticed the drive and passenger seats are dirty with oil and automobile grease. The mechanic should protect my seat before they move my to inside the store. read more

They lack- professionalism, skill, integrity, transparency. I was a repeat customer until recently . They took a valuable part off my truck and sold it for the core refund of $250. I brought the new part so there was no deposit owed. I was going to refurbish my original supercharger and now I am unable. This company has had over 40 complaints by the BBB in 3 years- now if that doesn't tell you something I dont know what will. Also, just Google midas langley complaints- there are sooooo many to choose from . Find yourself a shop that has a bit of integrity I would also like it noted that never have they ever managed to fix my vehicles quickly or efficiently. In fact -they told me they had fixed my car so I went onna road trip - broke down the whole way. While pulled over kn the side of the road a random man came to see what was up . He popped the hood and in 5 seconds fixed what midas told me they already had! He didnt even need tools it was such an easy fix! I Am happy to have stumbled into this Midas on my way to Costco one day, was quoted third of the cost to get my car seen and happy, and I will be back 100% for future oil changes and service on my vehicle. Had a super pleasure dealing with Samantha, she is quick witted, funny and smart figuring out the issue I had by sound. I told her I was on a budget, overall cost me less than I expected and I can feel and hear the difference. Though this shop really went above and beyond what I expected costs and repair and service. My dad didn't believe the great deal I got until I showed him the receipt. I have gladly been recommending this shop since driving away. The. Worst. Customer. Service. I have ever experienced. The manager was beyond beyond BEYOND disrespectful. I had call to get a quote on an AC recharge for my vehicle, not only did she quote me nearly $400 to get it done, but when I proceeded to say that I may not be able to afford that right now and that I would call back, she hung up the phone on me. She didn't say good bye, she didn't say anything at all, just hung up. I then called back because I felt super disrespected and asked for the manager. She then said "I am the manager". I had made it clear that her customer service was very poor and hanging up the phone on customers is so disrespectful and what she said back was "You can't afford the service, and the conversation was over" I will never consider this Midas ever again. read more

Noticed someone else on here mention that the manager was beyond disrespectful - glad I am not alone. Samantha was absolutely horrible to be on the phone. Each time I called I felt like I was talked down to. I know not all their staff are this way as I talked to a gentleman who was actually quite pleasant to me on the phone there (can't remember a name.) It was only when I gave a bit of backlash and asked "are you being rude to me?" that she stopped, back peddled & went "no no no no..." and changed her demeanour altogether. It's as if something along the lines of a bad Yelp review went off in her brain and she faked a personality on the phone - too late for that. I won't get into the details of my repairs in this review, as it's irrelevant to the fact that I recieved the worst customer service from this person. I come from working in years of customer service... not only do I put a smile on for the worst of them, but also go forth to other businesses with respect. I did nothing to receive the treatment that I did over the phone - just a dude with a broken down car unsure of what to do in need of a fix. I was talked down to like I was an idiot. My valve gaskets needed to be replaced and they got me in and made the repairs right away with no hidden or extra fees. Had a check engine light come on and after doing the diagnostic to find out why they called me and kept me informed all the way. I have used this garage twice and I will be using them again for all my car repairs. Can't say enough good things about the staff, treat everyone with respect. read more

Got heavilly scammed changing a Camshaft Position Sensor. Got charged for 1.5 hour when the labour was 1 hour (didn't want to argue with them) and the Sensor was $50 but got charged $250 for it. Please don't come here. They will overcharge you atleast double of what the service they did was worth. read more

Totally unqualified to do any work on vehicles. They cost me $3000 to fix my truck somewhere else. I had them do a transmission service. A month later my truck began to act up. I checked the fluid and it was an inch over full. I didn't know that that can destroy a transmission over time. I figure they just looked at what the truck took for fluid instead of checking it through out the filling. So "Greg," the manager, supervised taking fluid out. 2 days later my truck wouldn't budge an inch. I took it to a transmission shop and they said it was completely drained. As well as there being no leaks. "Greg" denied any responsibility and told me the fluid must have gone into the torque converter. The transmission shop said that is impossible. I urged "Greg" to contact the transmission shop as I'm not an expert. He didn't. I assume he didn't want an expert to expose his lack of expertise. "Greg" and Midas corporate left me with a $3000 bill to fix my transmission. This franchise outlet is without competence and shouldn't be trusted to check tire pressure let alone service the vehicle. I had them do some ball joints and now I'm paying for their work to be looked over. I've been a tradesperson for 15 years and you must stand by your work. Good or bad. This shop and manager wouldn't stand in the alley to throw you your keys. read more

Not a big fan of these guys. A couple years ago I took my van in for steering problems. After I was told how bad of shape my van was in I told them to forget it and put it back together so I could go buy a new (used) one. During their inspection they removed the brakes and the pads broke leaving me with metal on metal. They didn't tell me this and let me drive off in a rolling death machine. They did not accept responsibility and instead claimed that my breaks must have disintegrated as I left the facility and that they were not responsible. Ok whatever I figured I would never go back. My father-inlaw was driving my new (used) van and noticed a tire seemed low. He brought it in to these guys and they took it, re-sealed and put it back on.... Without re-filling it. I suppose my in-law didnt notice (as we live a block away) but as I drove my kids to school the van started shaking while I was driving. I stopped at a gas station to check the tires and I had 15-20 psi (on 44 rated tires) on the repaired tire. I filled it and it seems to be holding over there last couple weeks but how can you forget to do something so simple? And now my van is wobbling so I am taking it elsewhere to get the tires rotated and rebalanced. I cannot in good conscience see people trust their safety to these guys until they figure out what they are doing. read more

I thought my car needed break pads replacement and when I took it to Midas, Langley location, they checked and said " No need, its all good for a while". The service i received at Midas Langley was excellent. I went in for squealing brakes (when i backed up in my Jeep,) and they inspected the brakes for free (got an appointment,) and then showed me the part (a pad was indented a bit) They proposed the solution of (sanding it to make it even, and cleaning it up) as well as the other brakes cleanup, service and lubrication. It was a much more economical measure, than a total replacement of pads - which would of cost me in the hundreds (they let me know i had a lot of life left on the pads - 8 mm to 10 mm yet..) so not time. Cost was under one hundred fifty. A great deal and i find them trustworthy and very helpful. I will be back. Keep up the great service, and particularly impressed with the front desk adviser. read more

Disappointed. Cost was $30 more than discussed. I could have taken it to my dealership for less. There was an unnecessary engine flush and they charged me $8 for extra oil?! Comon. Either technicians changed or must've been a really off day because I used to love this location for my vehicle's routine service. This past weekend, had two of the cars in the household serviced and lo and behold, the battery magically dies and had oil sloshed all over the engine, presumably from a sloppy oil change. Furthermore, nice ol' clumps of greasy dirt tracked into the driver-side footwell. Thank you Midas for the golden/greasy touch... we'll be taking our cars to somewhere with a more professional touch in the future. read more
