I was contacted on Monday that they would be able to begin working on my vehicle between Wednesday and Thursday. as of today, Thursday, I was contacted by a different person from this business claiming that they had attempted to call me yesterday, but from a personal phone and left no voicemail, stating that the shop is closed and will not be available for work for up to two more weeks. the people aren't even communicating with each other and are wasting peoples time and money. they need to fully post that they are closed to business and tell tow companies and insurance not to bring vehicles in until they are functional again. this is outrageous and a complete waste of the last five days where I possibly could have had it already looked at and addressed at an actual shop that is operating normally and honestly. highly dissatisfied and disappointing.

I go to check the other side, and as i'm untightening the wheel, all my lug bolts are loose on this side and come out with nearly zero effort. Very low quality control on their part, and as i said earlier, could have left me in both an accident and a very large repair bill. Like i said, nice people, but the work wasn't good. The car was diagnosed and I was giving a list of repairs and time frame. I was told to pick my car up at 4pm the next day. I arrived at 4:15. It was not done and was still in the air being worked on. I ask when I should come back and was told about an hour. I called about 30 minutes later and was told it's taking longer then expected. Everything up to this point is fine. Simple mistakes. Lake of communication. 4 out of 5 stars. Things taking longer then expected is fine as well. But when the owner of the business started to get upset with me is when the ratings starts to drop. Saying he doesn't have a crystal ball and he is going out of his way for me. Staying late to finish the job. Then I'm told they have the wrong part and Its going to be finished tomorrow. They did not stay late. When I asked if he has done this type of work before his reply was every a day all the time. But he can't give me an estimated time. "I don't have a crystal ball" OK after talking to the owner of TK Automotive Repair I was told I was going to "get my car when I get it when its done and fuck off". Asking me "now what, what do we do now". My response was fix my car. He was the rudest small business owner I've met. I'm still a little bit in shock. Did he really say fuck off. Yes he did. Then he started yelling some more about a crystal ball and told me to fuck off again. After this he said " I'm calm, why are you still upset" Then demanded to know what we should do after making me wait three days to pick up a car that should've taken 2 all the time getting upset with me. I was referred to Rising Sun Motors by a community group that I belong to. I called and got an…read moreappointed schedule by the owner (Khai) for the following week to do the routine require 60K maintenance for my 2014 Honda CRV. I drove and dropped off my car on my schedule day at around 8am. Here are my observations. They must get a lot of business since there were tons of cars around their parking lot and both of the shops were busy with cars being work on. Khai the owner was friendly when I drop off my car and seem to know what he is doing. Confidence from mechanic is a good sign. Seem to be a "local" place because when I was there, a lot of his customers seem to know him and called him by name. Again-- another good sign. The only thing that was a bummer is that there's no waiting room due to Covid so you have to either get a ride back or wait outside. There is 1 chair for anyone who needs to sit and wait outside the office. Otherwise you will need to find a curve on the street sidewalk or a random place on their parking lot to put your bottom on while you wait. I was lucky enough I got a ride to and from so waiting there was not an issue for me. I did see people who were wait near the office. As a suggestion to the owner--maybe offer those who have to wait a bottle of water while they wait? Or some coffee? etc. Maybe even have a tent or covering with some outside seating on their lot somewhere? That is a bit of going beyond..but I think your customers (especially the ones with small kids and the elderly) who can't get a ride would really appreciate. That would have totally make my review a 5 stars for sure..even if I didn't need it myself. Just show that the owner cares about his customers during these Covid times and that there's no waiting room available.
