I love Axton Automotive company. I am going there for 10 years and very impressed with their service. Honest, reliable, caring and very professional read more

I used to take my car somewhere else, but I started going to them last year, and I have nothing but great things to say. They provide excellent service, are always attentive, listen to me, and try to understand what I mean even though I know nothing about cars! My explanations are usually, "My car makes a sound like ahahahshs," and somehow they always figure it out and find the solution. read more

From the moment I called for an estimate until the final quality control check, the entire experience was outstanding. The team was professional, honest, and kept me informed. They took the time to explain everything clearly, provided a fair estimate with no surprises, and completed the work with exceptional attention to detail. read more

Had an oil change done. Quick, efficient service. I take my car there for all my car maintenance needs.

I had my vehicle taken in for a complete diagnosis and was given quotes for what my vehicle needed. I chose the most important and made an appt. I was in and out within 3 hours. They found something that wasn't expected and let me know at pick up, rather than charging me an arm for the extra they took care of it while they were already repairing at NO cost. My parents suggested this place as honest and reliable and they were correct. I have a vehicle with 220,000 and will continue to come to this business as they recognize that trust and reliability are above money. Thanks to the whole team! read more

stole 100 bucks out of my center console and then claimed they didn't know about it, I have a picture of it sitting in my center console before dropping it off at 9 in the mornin by time I picked it up at 4 the 100 is gone along with my new melon bar cart, I then seen on of the technicians hitting after saying they didn't have it while I was calling them from across the street read more

Another great experience at Axton Automotive. They provide excellent vehicle and customer service every time. Having a free loaner car available for a big repair( If scheduled when car is available) is such an added value. I've been a happy customer for years! read more

I trust Axton Automotive with all our automotive repairs. They have shown themselves to be trustworthy over many years of doing business. We have never had "surprise costs" or unmerited repair suggestions. They have even repaired an item at their cost when it was unclear if the item was already broken or incurred while in for service. Integrity is hard to find these days but Axton has found a way to make it part of their company culture. Keep up the good work. read more

I want to thank Jim and the excellent staff. Being a stranded motorist far from home isn't easy, but Jim and others on staff made a bad experience better! Well done guys. I'll be stopping by if and when I need some service! read more

Axton took us in early, told us what we could expect, and finished the repair early. Good experience and will refer them to others!

Always take good care of my bug and prices are excellent. Best automotive place around!

This is my team going forward. Old-fashioned great service. Trustworthy. Money well spent. Can't beat it!

I cannot recommend Axton automotive enough! From the first experience bringing my daughter's car in for an inspection before a long road trip to Texas , to fixing my leaking reservoir before the winter storm , and now fixing my father's car. They took the time to explain exactly what was wrong with my car and didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary services . The repair was completed quickly, they really do warranty their work and the price was more than fair-- This is the only shop we will bring our cars to in the future! read more

Quality work as usual! Got the old girl back on the road in record time. What I like about Jim and Lance and the team is you know they won't jam in a bunch of stuff you don't need. read more

I had some work done by a shop thinking it was my transmission (it was under warranty) I got it back and something didn't seem right so I scheduled it for a oil change and had them look into why it was shaking when you idle and if It needed breaks in the front, well sure enough they found some lines leaking( going back in on August 12 to see if it is leaking)and a cord that is having issues I'm so grateful they know what they are doing especially when it comes to a jeep. read more

I had them run a full diagnostic on my Dodge Nitro to see what work needed to done and to see if it was worth keeping. They were honest and told me everything that needed be fixed and what each job would cost. I also had an oil change done. read more

I've been going to Axton Auto for years, and I will keep going to Axton as long as I live in the area. The owner and mechanics are top notch, square dealers, and all around great people. I've never been disappointed with their work, which is reasonably priced and high quality. I feel good about supporting them because they are a small local business who gives back to the community, practice great values, and are genuinely good people who also happen to be excellent mechanics. Highly recommend, 10/10 read more

Axton is my usual mechanic but I had a breakdown farther away, and had to take my car to the closest mechanic and got price gouged 3x the cost for Axton. I'm sorry I didn't pay the tow to bring my car the extra miles here!!! I love Axton. They work on my and most of my family's cars. We can trust the prices and the work. read more

A few months back I was told that my brakes were bad. I said I would take care of it as that work is easy. That went over poorly and I was not sure why until I got home with $150.00 in parts and my brakes were just fine. I gave them the benefit out the doubt we all make mistakes. Went back yesterday because one of the parts they installed failed and was asked to pay almost an hours worth of a mechanics time for something that took 10 minutes. Literally 10 minutes. When I questioned this I was asked "What exactly do you want me to do for free". I didnt ask for free I asked for fair. Coming from a client that has spent a lot of money at your shop I would expect more that a smart comment. Jim is out for Jim. read more

So I had problems with my vehicle for several years, it would just wander when going down the road and it was a real pain to drive. I took it to 3 other well recognize able places in the county, they all told me there was nothing wrong. I spoke with Axton and we troubleshot the problems together, and they took what I was saying about the issue seriously and really did a great job helping figure out what the problem was. When they got into the repair they also checked the parts that could have also been impacted from part that had been rattling for a long time to be sure I wouldn't need to do something else right away, then they helped me sift through the findings and made it easy to know they were doing the right work. I'm no dummy when it comes to cars, I know these folks did the right thing and I will definitely go here again cause I appreciate their help making my vehicle drive right finally. read more

I normally don't spend time writing a review but I wanted to thank Axton Automotive for the work that was just done on my Honda Accord. I was looking for a repair shop and found a great one in Ferndale. The owner, Jim was extremely attentive and very knowledgeable. After reading other yelp reviews I decided to give this place a try and I am sure glad I took a chance because I was not only pleased with the work but also walked away a happy customer. Spending money on car repairs is not fun, but finding a local business that cares about the customer, who is honest and reasonably priced is a true gem. I lucked out and found all of these qualities with Axton Automotive. If you are looking for someone that has lots of experience and is trustworthy, I highly suggest you give this shop a try. Their reputation is confirmed and you won't be disappointed. read more

My 1994 explorer has 180000 miles, my wife's 1991 jeep wrangler has 350000 miles. The only reason we can continue to drive these cars that we love is Jim and the staff at Axton Automotive. No one touches my car except me and Axton. Thanks Jim! read more

Had a minor shimmy in the front end. Called, talked to Kirk. When asked, I told him I got his info from a local senior center of which I'm a member. Told him I have only a disability income. Immediately quoted hourly rates. Didn't offer to drive the car, didn't offer to just put it on the rack and do a front end (not alignment) inspection, which nearly every front end place will do for free. Just hourly rates. Without even driving the car to feel if the problem is major or minor or what it even might be. I've noticed the shops out here are greedy, miserly, won't even open a hood without quoting a rate. Back in the Midwest, not nearly so much. A lot of the time people there will offer to at least look at it without quoting prices for 'diagnosis.' Big clue, 'diagnosing' a shimmy starts with driving a car and I'm not going to pay someone emergency room prices while they're driving my car around. Forget about that card hanging up in the senior center guys, looks like it might have gotten lost. But oh, if you want it put back up it'll be $90/hr to do that. UPDATE: I went to Les Schwab and they inspected the entire front end and brakes for FREE. They put it up ON THE RACK and took a half an hour to get it done. NO CHARGE, NO $90/hr. read more

I have never had a better experience with a broken down vehicle! My truck died while I was driving just down the road from Axton automotive. These good folks took my keys and managed to get my truck started and moved to their shop. They gave me a discount on diagnostics because I had a keen sense of what was wrong. They were quick, kind, and reasonably priced. Other than the warranty work on my newest vehicle, I don't think I'll ever take my vehicles anywhere else. Feels so great to have some folks I trust. read more

Jim Jamkowski, and his Axton Automotive team, have taken care of our Element and Mercedes for several years. Element is well over a decade old and has about 200,000 miles on it. It's a reliable machine and Jim keeps it in tip-top shape. Jim has been Mercedes only mechanic, and it operates flawlessly! Frankly, I can't imagine another firm taking care of our automobiles. Furthermore, Jim and Axton Automotive are active in the community and often lend financial support/sponsorship to local non-profit agencies such as Sean Humphrey House, Lydia Place, Growing Veterans, Our TreeHouse, and Brigadoon Service Dogs! Really good mechanics are hard to find! I have had two minor problems with my car and both times it was repaired quickly and the repair bill was very reasonable. I am sure that they will be my "go to guys" if I ever have any other problems. Added: I have 2 Buicks, a 95 and a 98. Each time I have gone there the cars were quickly repaired. They will point out potential problem areas that could be repaired at a later date. If you want an honest hard working mechanic to work on your car this is the place to go. read more

DO NOT trust them under ANY circumstances! If you're broke down, you would be better off pushing your car than taking it here! I needed CV joints -boots replaced. I took it here and wish I'd read the reviews first. TWO WEEKS after Axton 'replaced' them, noises started again. I took my car to Les Schwlab and they said my CV boots need to be replaced. Really? I take it back to Axton and I don't say anything until my car is up on rack. I tell him why didn't you replace them? He yells at me saying that was never the job he never touched them. His worker pulled out the invoice and his demeanor changed. I got an apology and chalked it up to a mistake. But it was MY MISTAKE! As I drive my car away, the shocks in back ruptured. He didn't press the button before the lift. I have car towed to Les Schwab again and guess what? The CV boots STILL hadn't been touched. He oiled them AGAIN. HES A THIEF! He knows it and WHATCOM COUNTY knows it! I'm glad you're business is terrible. That way you can't hurt more people. What makes it even worse, he KNEW that I was in the middle of cancer treatment and he still screwed me! Karma is a b*tch Axton! read more
