Makes fun of their customers, don't bother with this place. I called today to book an appointment and said my air condition doesn't work & my car is making weird noise so I'd like to have it looked. He said "Ohhhh kayyyyy" like he's talking to someone really dumb and suddenly the phone made weird clicking noise. A second later, he was talking to his co-worker saying "air condition doesn't work and makes weird noise! Bitch, what noise? Car makes noise!" and I could hear him laughing with his co-worker so loudly. Then I was transferred to someone who was more professional. He said "So your car, air condition isn't working and making weird noise?". That's when I realized the guy who picked up my phone, he was talking to this professional sounding guy on intercom and they were laughing at me together. I don't know if they realize that I could hear them talk or not though. I was overwhelmed by the way they were treating me. I somehow made an appointment but I came to senses then called back to cancel immediately. I don't know if they did this to me because I'm a woman. So I shared this with my husband and he said that they made fun of him when he brought our car years ago. So I guess this wasn't about my gender, it's just their business style to insult their customers. I told this to my friends and some of them told me that they're never going back to this place because of the same reason, rude customer service. Just a huge shout-out to this company... A few months ago, I was stranded miles from home with a simple but critical mechanical problem. Not familiar with ANY local garages, I started phoning for help, using those businesses listed on Google. I started feeling pretty frantic when all I was met with was "We are fully booked", and most of those were delivered to me by unfriendly, abrupt or just-don't-care voices....until I called Perform-X. I was greeted by a friendly, polite and concerned person on the phone, one who didn't immediately dismiss me and my problem! Although they also were booked to the limit, they understood my dilemma, and offered to look at my vehicle, as long as I was ok possibly waiting till one of the mechanics got a break in between vehicles. As soon as I got there, one of the guys was on it within minutes!!! I can't tell you how grateful I am to this shop. I wish I could recall his name, because he deserves personal recognition, as this mechanic had my car fixed in a jiffy and the fee charged was way less than I expected. It was obvious when I drove into the shop's yard that they service mostly high end vehicles, but I felt like royalty the way I was treated, even with my very less than pretty 23 year old Honda CRV! I found this garage to be honest, courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. I was introduced to the owner through another customer of his and as a woman I felt confident in his honesty and work. I found his pricing to be very fair and the owner went to the trouble of printing out all the recalls my vehicle was entitled to and even gave me directions to the local dealership to have the work done. Another thing I was so impressed with the second time I visited was that he knew I had no ride home and had one of his mechanics drive me back and later pick me up! It's just these kind of things that have you realize this business owner actually cares about his customers and not the almighty dollar first. Called ahead of time to co firm pricing of oil change and tire change. Checked twice and they stood by their prices which is great. Dropped off my car right after opening and they said they would get it down within 1.5 hrs. Came back... they didn't even start! They ended up getting backed up.... and I get that but still I was a little disappointment and had to wait another hour.... but at least it was done! read more

Examples: They replaced my catalytic converter and saved me $400 over the Subaru dealership. Today was the last time I walk through these doors. Lets start off by saying I wanted to make a claim on my glass. I was told he would phone me back after servicing my car there, which did not happen. I then called back a second time and was told I would get a phone call on Monday, which did not happen. After calling for the third time I scheduled an appointment for the 6th. Walking through the door I had a feeling that they would do something and then try to lie about it to save their business. Immediately he says in front of other customers that my appointment is tomorrow. This was the last straw for me with this business. This is not how you treat customers. I stood there for a moment and walked out. This was beyond ridiculous. Now for the rest of the stories. I kept coming back here because I thought they were honest and a family run business, though I started having my suspicions. My last visit I asked for them to diagnosis an engine light issue. It was then that I also asked for them to check to see if my battery needed to be replaced and to give me a quote. Well the next thing I know is that they are placing a battery in my car without even asking me and then stating it was corroded and needed to be done. I'm sorry but that is not your call to make without consulting the customer. This struck me as a salesman tactic and left a bad taste in my mouth. Also during this visit when I went to pay the bill was 210. And right in front of me he says oh the 1 should be a 4. This made the bill 240 dollars. I found that really weird. During this same visit they diagnosed the cvc emission valve as being stuck. It ended up being the cvc canister or something after I got a second opinion from the dealer. The guy said it was cleaned and looked fine. I asked him for a price quote and was told that it would need to be ordered special from Honda and that I couldn't get one at that point and I didn't need one. My spouse then called them because it came back on. Then he told her that he had told me that it was corroded and that it would need to be replaced and that I was aware of this. This was an outright lie and they can't keep track of their customers or what they have said. Another visit my partners car needed to have oil change, her lights changed and her brakes looked at. They don't even write things down when you tell them and then they forget what you tell them. When I went to go pick the car up we paid the bill of 200 something dollars and then realized as we were driving away that they hadn't even done the light changes or oil change. They literally just sanded down the rotors in an attempt to fix the brake issue. There was no sorry, it was just I can make another appointment for you for your oil change. This would result in me bringing back this vehicle for a second visit in an attempt to fix the brake issue that was never corrected the first time. When I first came here I think it was ran by Richard. He was wonderful and I thought it was a family business. He booked me in for a time slot and was true to his word. Then after new management it started running like a big business. Now they tell you to come at 0800 am and then you usually don't get your car until later in the afternoon. Also I usually never got a call saying my car was done. This resulted in me sitting there a few times in order to get them moving. If I wanted to go to a big business company I would have done so. This was utter garbage. I went here to many times and gave them too many chances. I don't know if this was because I was a female or what but this was ridiculous the way that this business is being ran. I thought that they save you money but now I have my suspicions on how they are running everything. read more

Occasionally they find something that needs attention that I wasn't expecting, but the guys will tell me if it can wait, what options I can take, or if its serious enough to do immediately. Ive been there 5 times over the years Richard has retired but the new fellow whose name i cant remember is very nice and helpful his estimate for steering repairs was right on the money he helped me get a deal on new tires also i highly recommend them.I read a review on here that said they dont call and ask for permissiion before they proceed on repairs and dont call when the car repairs are complete they have never done that to me the only thing they ever did wrong for me was under Richards tenure they once ordered a light lens for the wrong side of the car i didnt see that as worth getting bent out of shape about as they got the right one the next day read more

My dad has been getting his vehicles repaired by "the brothers" since I was a kid. I was reluctant to take my car there because this shop used to have a huge St Bernard dog laying in the small waiting room. It would take up the whole room. Customers (who weren't afraid of the dog) would step around him to get to the customer service desk. Considering the fact that this dog was double my size, I was deathly afraid of it. Also, this huge dog was always there for years. I called it Cujo when I was older. I still don't like big dogs thanks to Cujo. The shop was run by three brothers. Two of them have since retired. I took my car there because it is no longer under warranty. Fortunately, Cujo wasn't there. In fact, Cujo wasn't one everlasting dog; he was three different dogs. Also, they have not had a dog there for awhile. I was treated with respect and received great service. Dad said the brothers won't be the cheapest guys on the block but they are the most honest guys on the block. This is exactly how I would sum up my recent experience and will continue to get my car serviced there, especially now that I know no huge scary dog hangs out there anymore. read more
