I took…read moreit to AALL Tech Transmission at Dawson street Burnaby and was quoted around $1500 to get clutch replaced. I wasn't fully convinced why it's directly caused by my clutch so I looked for a second opinion at Coast Auto Transmission. Tom came out right away when I got to his shop, checked a bit, did a road testing and told me "2 seconds". Then he said you should be good to go, one screw was loose on the shift and I tightend it up. Your clutch wasn't perfect but ok to drive. And he did not charge me a penny. I'll definitely recommend this shop and Tom is the one that you can trust.

These two sons eventually branched off and opened up Pacific Driveline. Pacific driveline is a transmission shop that you can easily rely upon. They are honest, fair and they stand behind their work with integrity. When we first were looking to have our transmission rebuilt we were recommended by our mechanic to goto these guys as they supported various warranty groups and our coast-to-coast warranty would be validated with them. We did the rebuild and unfortunately it failed while we did a trip up to Kamloops (but not so bad). They stood behind their work and not only did they honor their own warranty; they also had the vehicle towed from Kamloops to their shop and helped us make alternative vehicle arrangements. It turned out that the part that was involved in the update (yes they do the updates during rebuilds) was defective. About a half year later we noticed that the transmission was starting to "gear hunt"; so I brought it over to John to inspect. We found also that the rear-differential was squealing during the test-drive. John replaced all of the solenoids and also preformed a rear-differential flush at NO COST. We could not be happier with the service that these two perform. They remained professional throughout our entire ordeal, were completely transparent with honesty and left us with a warm feeling of knowing that we have found a drivetrain shop that we could rely upon. I highly recommend Pacific Driveline~!

I had extremely high hopes due the supposed reputation of Stan's, but was plagued with nothing but…read moreheadaches and issues for 7 consecutive months while they repeatedly failed to complete my trans rebuild properly. The work was performed under an extended warranty, yet they damaged parts and expected me to find and purchase replacements out of pocket to fix their mistakes. I drove under 1000km during the 7 months it was in and out of the shop, finally giving up after coming back the 10th time and taking the car home with a visible transmission pan leak that they had continuously failed to correct. After two years of barely driving the vehicle, the transmission again showed symptoms of failure, with another shop's trans specialist finding several bolts in the transmission (forward band servo cover and the valve body bolts) that were only hand tightened and eventually backed out, causing total failure and loss of all drive gears. If you care about your vehicle and want honest trustworthy work done, I could not possibly recommend this shop at all. Their negligence ended up costing me thousands to rebuild it again. Extremely disappointing from a shop that touts customer satisfaction and an outstanding reputation

They didn't even test drive the car . I was told by the owner gears "might" have to wear in sound "should" go away in @ 15000 kilometers "suspiciously" after warranty period expires ?-noise got significantly worse over time ??????? don't go here for your transmission issues !!! I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the service as well as the work itself. It ended up being the worst financial decision of the past couple years. I had transmission problems with my car. The 5th gear repeatedly pops out while driving on the highway, particularly up slight inclines. I took the car to Canadian Tire first but the autoshop does not deal with transmissions. On their reference as good transmission experts, I went to Aall-Tech Transmissions in Burnaby. A couple days later, I received a call with a diagnosis and estimate for ~3500. I went ahead with the repair on the recommendation of the owner of the shop because he thought the engine still had life left in it. I picked up the car about a week later. The first time I took it out on the highway, the car popped out of 5th gear... despite having spent a small fortune to repair this problem at Aall-Tech. I talked to the owners at Aall-Tech several times over the next 6 months. They repeatedly told me that they could not find the problem with the car, despite the gear popping out very frequently when I drive it. I finally got Aall-Tech to admit that the gear was popping out. They took it into their shop and I trusted them to stand behind their work and their warranty and repair the car since they did not fix it the first time. Instead, they asked for more money!! They said they would throw in labour for free, as if they were doing me a favour for not having fixed it the first time. Going to Aall-Tech was a huge mistake. I would not recommend this shop. The shop does not stand behind its work, does not do quality repairs, and does not honour their warranty.

After almost 12 months (that's right 1 year) my friends car has finally been returned. Please keep in mind, my friend had to contact a lawyer in order to assist with the return of his vehicle. The condition in which his vehicle was returned to him just shows the lack of care for the consumer and the outright disrespect to provide the service that all these "5 Star" reviews showcase as the quality this so called "Automotive shop" provides. Don't take my word for it, I have receipts - please see all 9 photos below; there is mold build up, a broken window and the brand new battery appears to have been replaced, that's just to name a few.

I had the same service done at Lee's Transmission for less than 1/2 what BMW wanted. I recommend these guys highly though it was a bit tough initially trying to get an assessment done to get the work done as the service coordinator was multi tasking and extremely busy as he was also scheduling work for another company they also owned in the GVA.
