Nevio took it around the block and told me to come back in 2 days. He fixed the tranny and gave me a bill for $125. Over the past 50 years I've brought every vehicle I've owned and have referred dozens of friends to them and everyone has been delighted. Most recently my daughter was told by the GM dealership that her tranny would need to be replaced at about $4200. I brought it to Nevco and it was nothing more than a broken pin. When my tow truck pulled up at 6:05 (they close at 6:00) they stayed behind to talk to me about what happened and were genuinely interested about the problem and getting to know the situation. The next day they provided a free diagnostic to be sure what was wrong and were very informative when they called to tell me the problem. When they diagnosed the problem (an almost destroyed timing belt) they ordered and replaced it the same day so that I was able to pick it up in less than 24 hours after I dropped it off. My car works perfectly now and I can be assured that the rest of my car is fine due to their thorough job. Pricing was as fair as it gets and more than reasonable for the job. Overall this was the best experience I have ever had with a mechanics shop and they took great care of my car. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

These two sons eventually branched off and opened up Pacific Driveline. Pacific driveline is a transmission shop that you can easily rely upon. They are honest, fair and they stand behind their work with integrity. When we first were looking to have our transmission rebuilt we were recommended by our mechanic to goto these guys as they supported various warranty groups and our coast-to-coast warranty would be validated with them. We did the rebuild and unfortunately it failed while we did a trip up to Kamloops (but not so bad). They stood behind their work and not only did they honor their own warranty; they also had the vehicle towed from Kamloops to their shop and helped us make alternative vehicle arrangements. It turned out that the part that was involved in the update (yes they do the updates during rebuilds) was defective. About a half year later we noticed that the transmission was starting to "gear hunt"; so I brought it over to John to inspect. We found also that the rear-differential was squealing during the test-drive. John replaced all of the solenoids and also preformed a rear-differential flush at NO COST. We could not be happier with the service that these two perform. They remained professional throughout our entire ordeal, were completely transparent with honesty and left us with a warm feeling of knowing that we have found a drivetrain shop that we could rely upon. I highly recommend Pacific Driveline~!

In March 2021, I took my (almost) classic VW Golf here, as I had read the many good reviews. I am sorry I listened to them. I was greeted by two gentlemen, one older and one younger (who recognized my car from his previous employment at Wilf's). He was all excited to see my car and an overhaul of my transmission was recommended (incl. taxes $3,900). My transmission had a minor leak and I wanted to be proactive rather than running into major trouble later. After the first repair, the leak was not fully fixed and I had to return a second time. Here, I should mention that my car was hardly used from 2019-2021 and was always (and still is) kept in the garage. My car has been taken care of, hand-washed, polished and pampered since I bought it back in 2000. It has been getting lots of attention wherever I go, as it still looks good for its age, and (before the 2nd repair) still smelled fresh. My A/C was in excellent working condition (I used it when driving to the shop) --- all this was about to change after I took it back for the 2nd repair. Stan's had my car for a few days and when I went to pick it up, the windows were wide open (they said because of the hot weather, they didn't want to cause anything to crack, i.e. dashboard) and I had yellow dust all over the black seats and dash. The A/C was blowing hot air only and literally bits of manure were flying through the vents. The A/C was not functioning any longer. When I mentioned all this to the two fellows in the office, the older one said that this is normal that dirt comes through the vents (EXCUSE ME ... but I have had my car for over 20 years and I never had foam bits and manure flying through the vents --- the air intake has filters!!! --- I don't know what kind of car he is driving!!!). With this kind of response, I was never going to go back to this place. The issue with the leak was also not fully fixed, but now, on top of it all, I had to get a new A/C ($1,500 later ...) - and the smell, it never fully left my car. So each time I get into my vehicle, I am being reminded of this dreadful day I got taken for a ride at Stan's Transmission. NEVER AGAIN will I set foot in this shop! They are the worst!

I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the service as well as the work itself. It ended up being the worst financial decision of the past couple years. I had transmission problems with my car. The 5th gear repeatedly pops out while driving on the highway, particularly up slight inclines. I took the car to Canadian Tire first but the autoshop does not deal with transmissions. On their reference as good transmission experts, I went to Aall-Tech Transmissions in Burnaby. A couple days later, I received a call with a diagnosis and estimate for ~3500. I went ahead with the repair on the recommendation of the owner of the shop because he thought the engine still had life left in it. I picked up the car about a week later. The first time I took it out on the highway, the car popped out of 5th gear... despite having spent a small fortune to repair this problem at Aall-Tech. I talked to the owners at Aall-Tech several times over the next 6 months. They repeatedly told me that they could not find the problem with the car, despite the gear popping out very frequently when I drive it. I finally got Aall-Tech to admit that the gear was popping out. They took it into their shop and I trusted them to stand behind their work and their warranty and repair the car since they did not fix it the first time. Instead, they asked for more money!! They said they would throw in labour for free, as if they were doing me a favour for not having fixed it the first time. Going to Aall-Tech was a huge mistake. I would not recommend this shop. The shop does not stand behind its work, does not do quality repairs, and does not honour their warranty.
