I would give them even more than a 5 +. Thier customer service is exceptional. They are a rare breed in today's market. To them the customer comes first. Doesn't matter what the service work to be done is, they will make sure that any related equipment that works with what they are repairing is functioning properly. Been a loyal customer for over 30 years and always been impressed with their products, services and their professional attitude. read more

Getting an inspection of my car was made quick and easy by the Tremblays. They even found and returned my house keys that I had dropped outside the office. Thanks so much Brad. read more

Would give them 10 stars if I could. Been dealing with Trembley Motors for over twenty-five years and on every occasion the service has been exceptional. They don't just treat you as a customer, they treat you as someone who cares about you and your vehicle. Their prices are always better than most car dealerships and their service is exceptional better as it is more personal. Give them a try for your next car maintenance requirement and you will see the difference a quality shop can make on your vehicle's repairs. read more

Absolutely trustworthy in diagnosis, service and pricing. I have been going to Tremblay for more than 25 years with a variety of (sometimes offbeat) automobiles and the process is always simple: call for appointment, pick up when ready as stated, and drive home happy. We are very fortunate to have a repair shop in Vancouver that is so friendly, thorough in explanation and execution, and reasonably priced. Thanks guys! John Gauger read more

I have been going to Tremblay for over 10 years with 4 different family care. The workmanship is excellent and the guys who work there are honest and extremely reasonable. I have complete trust that they will not rip me off or suggest something that isn't needed. I highly recommend them. read more

Tremblay was recommended to me by someone I hold in high regard. Not only did they repair my brakes and headlight well under the price quoted to me elsewhere, they called to make sure I was okay with them replacing the faulty battery, and quoted the additional price beforehand. I can see why they're so busy. I'll be taking my car here from now on. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Jason and his crew. He fixed up our old Mazda 3 as if it were new in just one day, thus extending its life for us for at least 6 more years. I brought the car in at 7:30 and he was done by 4:30. The car was washed, polished and cleaned on the inside also. And all with a big friendly smile on his face. I have complete confidence in the professional expertise and the fair and honest advice Jason gave me, and I would without hesitation recommend him to family and friends. Heather read more

I have been a customer of Tremblay Motors for over 10 years and can attest to the fact that they consistently deliver a honest, fair, professional, and quality servicing of your vehicle. I recently purchased a used pick up and my first task was to get Tremblay to check it out completely. They performed a full service on my 20 year old vehicle and it now runs like new. If you want to have your vehicle serviced in a quality, trustworthy, fair and professional manner -Tremblay is the place to go. Stew read more

QUALITY WORK QUALITY PARTS QUALITY PEOPLE I've been a client for over 30 years so I know what I'm talking about. This family owned and run business has been around for decades. Brad Tremblay, the current manager, once told me his first job was washing cars after they'd been serviced during summer vacations. Sam Tremblay, an expert mechanic himself, felt it important his son learn the business hands-on, from bottom to top. Brad is also an expert mechanic. You'll frequently see him when you drop your car off to have work done. As a woman, I can tell you Brad and all his employees are polite, kind and patient people. They listen as you describe what's wrong and try to get a more specific idea of problem. You may get cheaper price elsewhere, BUT you won't get the quality job you get at Tremblay's. I aways drive away confident my car will run great because experts have worked on it. read more

Honest people who provide great work and service at reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Took my car to Tremblay for the first time (new to Vancouver). Brad was very friendly and helpful. He asked good questions to be thorough and explained all. The work was done as promised and their rates are very good. Less than I've been paying previously. Thanks! Highly recommend them. read more

Honest multi-generational run service shop. Been going for years, recommended to many men and woman friends and have never heard nor have I ever had an unpelasant experience. Having rebuilt cars in my younger years I have a pretty good guage on repairs. They only change what is necessary and explain why a replacement part is necessary. A five star shop! read more

Tremblay has been looking after our family vehicles for over 20 years. They are completely trustworthy, do great and dependable work, and for reasonable costs. However inconvenient going to their Granville Island shop from our home in Port Coquitlam, Tremblay is and will continue to be our mechanic of choice. Going to their shop is like visiting family. It is a pleasant experience and they do give us peace of mind knowing our cars are well taken care of. There is not much more that needs to be said. read more

Trustworthy, dependable, and provide exceptional service. AAA+ As a woman (who is much more prone to being ripped off by unscrupulous mechanics) I can say that Brad and his team are a first class operation who do their best to get your car in tip top shape and at a fair & reasonable price. In the event of an emergency when you need to have your car towed to a garage, the only place to go is Tremblay Motors - rest assured that you will be taken care of in the most efficient way possible and with friendly and courteous service each and every time. Brad, Jason and the team at Tremblay Motors are amazing and I am so comforted to know that my car is in the best hands possible when it needs fixing, when my wheel has blown off on the highway, or weird little noises, leaks and other mystery car ills pop up. My car which I have had for going on 28 years still runs like a young stallion thanks in large part to Brad and the Tremblay Motors Team. I highly recommend Tremblay Motors - you will be more than satisfied and once you have been there you won't want to take your car anywhere else. read more

Tremblay Motors - A little detail after the car has been washed and vacuumed. Very nice! - Auto Repair Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

Now that I've been coming to Tremblay, I actually don't get nervous about having work done on my car anymore. I started coming here last year on the recommendation of 2 friends and some good reddit/yelp reviews, and I'm so glad I did. Had an overall check-up last year, got my timing belt and water pump replaced at 100k this fall, and another brake repair this spring. Just really happy with the service here. I've interacted with Jason and Brad (and one other guy I don't know the name of) and each time I called or came in with my car, they were friendly, kind and honest with me. I don't know a ton about cars (read: I know almost nothing) and all three guys are patient with me and answer my questions about basic car/wheel stuff. They've never tried to upsell me, which is awesome. Garages are not always comfortable place for people (especially women), but I feel really good coming here. Last thing - when I came in to pick up my car after a brake repair this spring, they'd washed my car and the inside even looked slightly cleaner than when I'd left it. Not to be overly dramatic, but I nearly cried I was so happy. I hate getting my car washed, and this was basically Christmas for me. Thanks guys! read more

Incredible customer service that is consistent visit after visit. There may be a wait to get your car in but I promise it is worth the wait because you KNOW your vehicle is in incredible hands once it's in their shop. I took my car to Tremblay for some repairs after reading raving reviews and I am so happy to say that they lived up to all my expectations - they called me after checking over my car, discussed options and pricing and completed the service the same day. Thank you Brad - you are always a pleasure to work with! Hoping my car doesn't need a lot more work in the near future but happy to know I have such a great option here in Vancouver! read more

It was the best costumer service I've had in Vancouver so far. The staff is very polite, honest and helpful. The prices are fair and the service is exceptional. I've relied on Tremblay Motors to provide top notch car servicing since the late 1960s when they had the Chevron Service Station at 4th Avenue & MacDonald in Kitsilano. Their next generation now operates the business and it is comforting to see that the professional and customer service ethic has been passed down from their fathers and uncles. Thank you Jason for fitting me in this afternoon, without an appointment, for confirming my concerns over the health of my battery & replacing it. Also, thanks for double checking tires air pressure because the low pressure warning dash light remained lit after I had already had the air pressure corrected. It's interesting that VW makes a car costing over $40,000 that includes warning lights for everything from low tire air pressure to when your next service is due but doesn't give you any advance warning that you may have a near dead battery - other than the auto door opening when near the fob failing to operate! Some of the high tech features of cars today are not as convenient as the manufacturers might think; push button start is stupid, I'd rather use a key and why don't the warning lights go out when the problem is fixed OR why not tell the owner how to turn them off, I resent having to go to a dealer and be subjected to some arrogant little jerk pretending to be more important than he is for pissy-ass little things like this. read more

It was a great shop to get my car serviced at, but no longer. They recently informed me that their staff are no longer trained to work on vehicles older than 2000. So they are only servicing newer vehicles now. My car is five years too old. Very disappointing. read more

While I am still cursing ICBC and their strict rules...I was happy with the service I received at Tremblay.. I had a small ding on my windshield of my brand new car..it happened like a week into having it on the road..ICBC decided that it was too big and to renew insurance I need it replaced....always an expensive experience with ICBC isn't it?? So off I went to Tremblay as it was supposed to be really good and affordable and was really convenient to where I lived..I dropped the car off over night and picked it up first thing in the morning...new windshield installed and my car vacuumed..which was an added bonus! The cost was a bit more them I wanted at over $600..but I am told that is pretty normal..the team there were very nice and efficient..I will defiantly use them in the future if I have any problems with my car! read more

This is such a great car repair place!!! Not "big business", run by the same family (currently by Brad). They charge fair market value and often do little things for free (our fan belt kept loosening, they would tighten it for us for free!). All tune-ups come with a car wash and an interior vacuum. My parents take their CR-V across the road to Carter Honda and they are charged almost double of what we pay for our Subaru!!! Awesome! read more

I just got off the phone with Brad from Tremblay Motors. I had dropped my car off this morning largely as a result of the positive reviews this place got on yelp. Very good experience. Same day service. They are very flexible and pleasant to deal with. The price seems reasonable, especially compared to some other Group On using mechanics out there. Now granted I haven't picked my car up yet... but as long as it's there and in one piece then I will definitely be standing by my (first?) five star review. read more

I went looking for a good repair shop after my husband had to wait 6 hours at another shop for a quote on repairs to our 2000 Volkswagen Passat. Tremblay has a night drop off option where you can leave your keys and a note with what is wrong which was convenient for us since it can be hard to get around during the workday. Brad called me the next day after the mechanics had a chance to look at my car and assess what needed to be done. He was really thorough and clear in describing what work was needed and explained what was more important vs. less important (and could wait). He helped me pick out great tires based on our driving needs (which came with an $80/tire rebate from the manufacturer which was a bonus!). All-in-all I felt like I was in competent hands and received great service which seems rare these days! After a hefty $3,800 repair bill which put a dent in our wallet, we hope we won't be back soon but I am certainly happy I found Tremblay Motors. The synopsis: great service, informed staff, didn't get ripped off, and would recommend this shop to others. read more

I needed to get some auto work done and reached out to these guys to get a quote. I filled out their on-line quote form. I had someone get back to me within the hour, however, they do not do body work. They did, however, re-direct me to another body shop who they use. I appreciated the quick message back and the referral. I am heavy on the communication which is a huge thing with me, therefore, I appreciate the timely manner in which my inquiry was answered. read more

OK.So I'm starting these guys off with four stars because we are new customers of Tremblay and I am comparing them with Clarkdale. Our first encounter was excellent. Dead struts were replaced really fast with almost no notice on our part. Ya, it was pricey, but there were no surprises. They called to update me on their progress during the day. They could have easily just charged us more for a realignment, but said we were lucky and didn't need it. Now that's honesty for mechanics! Sorry Clarkdale, but you are sooooo fired! read more

Tremblay Motors offers highly skilled service for all makes and models of cars - very modern and up to date - but they are an old school family business that delivers courteous, responsive and trustworthy service every time. I've taken my car in for repairs several times and always been treated with extraordinary professionalism and care: they are fast; their work is impeccable; and there are always little extras like topping up my oil and brake fluid, checking the air in my tires and yesterday even vacuuming the interior and polishing up the dash. Plus the convenience of being able to drop off your car at night and fill out a repair form, attach your keys and put it through a secure mailslot is unparalleled. Tremblay is established and busy enough that they could probably cut a few corners and still be very profitable, but that is just not who they are: integrity and quality obviously matter to them. In a world where the news is filled with stories of scams and shoddy labour, especially in the automotive industry, it is so refreshing to feel as confident as I do when I take my car to them - I hand over the keys and say "Do what you need to do," with absolutely no fear they will take advantage. I feel as safe giving Tremblay my car as I would if I were asking my Dad to do the repairs for me. Absolutely give them a try: in Tremblay's business, every customer is treated like a member of the family. read more

Had to get a couple of things fixed with my Jeep and had emailed in last week, got a phone call back in 30 minutes to discuss and schedule, which immediately made me feel confident in my decision to go with Tremblay Motors! The visit today was amazing as well. A couple of hours after drop off they called to discuss what needed to be done, went over the inventory and associated costs before moving forward with it, let me know that it would be ready for pick up at 4:30 which it was! The receipt was exactly what had been discussed over the phone and was so excited that my Jeep was also washed! Haven't had another place do that before! As a young woman, it was most definitely a confidence-boosting experience and has me expecting the same great service from all other places I will go to in the future (I'll be moving away from Vancouver in the near future otherwise I would exclusively be coming back here!) I have an old rusted 2001 VW TDI Jetta with 330,000kms and it needed a new bushing to get rid of some clunking in the back. I found this shop from yelp and decided to go with them. Right from the first phone call to make my appointment, I was impressed. They were so friendly. Took my car in and got a call a few hours later. They informed me of the condition of my car underneath and that it needed done more work than I anticipated. I didn't want to spend more which I said my concern and they listened but explained to me in detail of what was going on. After some thought we worked out a deal. Got my car back a few days later and right away I was surprised. They had even cleaned my car fully! It was a mess I kind of felt bad because I wasn't expecting that. They were able to do the work and without more issues from rusted broken bolts or whatever. That's what I was worried about the entire time waiting. But they did it all and about two months later I'm still rocking and rolling with my old beast. Thank you to these great folks!! Still looking into a different less rusted old car and when I do get it I'll bring it here for sure! read more

Tried Tremblay Motors after price shopping some of the competition (Autobots, Mr. Lube) and was very happy with my decision. They did the work I came in for, ringing in at the same price they quoted me via email. Then they even came up with a solution for an esthetic issue that multiple other auto shops hadn't been able to help me with - and didn't tack on any extra charge for it! Can't recommend these guys highly enough. read more

An amazing experience beginning to end. I brought my vintage (70's) era car to Tremblay with the peace of mind that they have mechanics that have been working on vehicles like this since they were everyday drivers for most people and not rarities. The car was new to me and since I had plans to put 6000km on it this Summer I wanted to make sure any major issues could be resolved well ahead of time. Sam personally took the vehicle out on test drives with and without his mechanics before and after to isolate and confirm/alleviate any concerns I had about the car. As predicted I wound up getting the entire brake system replaced as well as some isolated portions of the suspension. I had very regular updates before, after and during the work via phone without having to chase anyone for information. All repairs came in on time and on budget. After that work had been done I noticed (independent of the tip top repairs which were made) that there was some vibration and noises coming from the rear of the vehicle at speeds past 80kms. Concerned I brought it back to Tremblay to try and isolate the issue. After some more test drives Sam got back to me and said he believed this repair in particular required some specialized work and directed me to the shop of a trusted associate. He personally called ahead and saw to it that I was able to intake my vehicle the same day. Those repairs went through and my ride could not be in better shape! In a very short amount of time I have come to trust Sam and his team of experts whether it is for hands on work or recommending service with other well vouched for shops that they have long standing relationships with. I will definitely continue to get my car serviced here for the forseeable future and send anyone I know that needs great service their way! read more

These guys are so genuine and honest that I can't imagine taking my car anywhere else. The time it takes to get your car in for a service might be a bit longer than other spots in the neighborhood, but it's worth the wait to know your vehicle is being handled but a good, local family business that will be up front and honest with you about what work your car does and does not need. I took my car in recently knowing the tires will need to be replaced soon, expecting them to push it on me that servicing, but they gave me their opinion that I could get another several months out of them before buying new ones. Most places these days don't show that sort of simple integrity. read more

I did the maintenance in this location on last month, it was my first time, very good service and professional , thank you all your guys!

This is THE PLACE to take your car. FULL STOP. The fact that we have taken our cars to Tremblay Motors since 1986 says everything. Well, it may have been 1987, but, certainly, since then. From 4th Avenue to Pacific Street to, now, 3rd Avenue, we would not consider any other option. The service we have received over thirty years has been nothing short of exceptional, and we cannot speak highly enough of Sam, Brad, Jason, Chris and Rain, not to mention other mechanics, over the years, whose names now escape me. I've meant to write this recommendation for years, and I apologize to Sam and Brad, in particular, for taking so long to find the time to do so. read more

These guys at Tremblay Motors are awesome! Found my car battery dead this morning so called BCAA, and a guy came down within 10 minutes and replaced the battery on the spot. The BCAA guy -- Jorge -- was very thorough and pleasant, and informed me after checking my alternator, that I needed a new one badly. He recommended Tremblay Motors (a BCAA approved shop) and even "escorted" me there to make sure my car didn't have trouble on the way. When we got to Tremblay Motors, Jorge explained about the new car battery and the almost-dead alternator. Brad Tremblay said that he wasn't sure he could get it done today (Friday), but that he'd do his best and said he'd let me know in an hour or two. About an hour later Brad called and said that they'd gotten the parts they needed and that if I came by just before 5 p.m. the car should be ready. Sure enough, I got there are everything was done! It did cost me over $700 all in (alternator, belt, labor, tax, etc.) but the car is driving well, so I'm very pleased. Talk about great service!! I'll be recommending this place to everyone. Thanks Jorge at BCAA and Brad from Tremblay Motors! read more

Since my last visit to Tremblay Motors, I've learned that their prices are indeed fair. Sam and Brad take the time to explain what work your car needs as well as how critical/urgent it is. I scheduled an oil change and service and learned that there were three minor issues, so I decided to just have two things worked on for budgetary reasons, even though I was told that they could wait for the next service. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to make sure that their car is well taken care of--just make sure you phone to schedule your appointment 2-3 weeks ahead since they are quite busy! read more
