will not be going back to this location - I sat and waited in line in the first bay, there was one car in both bays when I arrived, and two cars waiting behind both bays - total of 4 cars waiting. both cars in pulled out the same time, so the next two went in. leaving only two cars waiting in line. me and another vehicle . the vehicle in front of me finished first. the vehicle in the second bay was getting much more work done. the lady working there, then proceeds to go to the other car waiting, then to mine and tells me since they were waiting longer I have to move from my que in line to let them in. i have places to be as well , I chose that line for the fact it was shorter. to then be told it's company policy first come first serve, well I was the first in that line - so why shouldn't my service be done as I got to that line and waited just the same ? you will never get my business again, and I will definitely not be referring anyone . read more

My mother who is 64 years old and doesn't speak much English has been getting ripped off here for years and I just found out. This is the Mobil 1 Lube on Canada way in Burnaby. She was charged 500$ for an oil change and a transmission fluid exchange. I went into the shop to ask politely for a partial refund. The owner was smug and completely rude. He said this is business and would not offer any type of resolunion. Please people be aware of scammer oil change places. We have to keep our community and elderly people safe. Although they were very busy on a weekday afternoon and i had to wait in my car for at least 20 minutes, they came out to check on me to see if I wanted some water or coffee. Also, when it was my turn to get an oil change for my car, the technician told me he was sorry to have me wait for such a long period of time. My technician was 'Nic' who was very kind and friendly. He did not try to upsell anything or forced me to get anything extra. He just asked me if I wanted a complimentary vacuum and a tire pressure check. Wow. They are fast, honest, and their prices are responsible. They did the work in front me and took the time to show& explained everything to me. Plus, their prices for cooling system flush is cheaper than namely auto shop. Before I go to Mobile 1, I called MR.Lube which I always get my services there. I asked them about the price for flushing cooling system, the guy said oh this a long time work, it will cost around 130 without tax, another shop said 97$, another one 120 without tax. Unethical business. Got hit with all the common pitfalls mentioned below. It was interesting to watch it unfold. Synthetic oil but no synthetic filter. The oil plug was buggered by the last company. Showed me a small glass container with what purported to be my transmission fluid. Just had my transmission fluid checked elsewhere and it was in great shape. Not going anywhere near this company again. My fault for letting my oil level drop but the predation was brutal. It won't happen again. read more

I am so incredibly disappointed in the Mobil 1 on 64th and 200th in Langley. For the past 6000 km, the average life span of oil in my vehicle, I have been leaking oil because whoever did my oil change didn't screw the drain plug in tight enough. My boyfriend did my oil change and I was leaking so much that only a quart of oil came out; it should've pulled 4quarts. If we hadn't caught this my engine could've seized due to an employees negligence. I strongly DO NOT recommend going here. read more

Caution! Not impressed with the urgent upsell that is not urgently required. Went in for regular oil change and when I didn't know off hand when last transmission fluid was changed (but not worried because we maintain vehicle as per manufacturers recommendations) I was shown a bottle of how incredibly past due and burnt this fluid was (see photo; said the bottle on the left was what they just took out if my vehicle). I didn't go for the $139.00 job at that moment and the guy said come to see him at the other location (56 Ave Langley) tomorrow for $10 off and he'll do it personally. I checked the fluid my self the next morning (see photo: note the red colour on paper towel and it didn't smell burnt at all! [PHOTO REMOVED by Yelp]). The worker bee staff are nice but the guy that was in charge that day tried to guilt me into spending $$$ that was not necessary and then he criticized my car. This is the most expensive oil change I have ever received and their service is not representative of their prices. Everyone working there had an attitude even before we pulled up- they were walking around like they were half asleep. There were 2 lanes and a line of about 3 cars in each lane. When it was our turn to pull up they made everyone back up and switch lanes because the guy next to us pulled up 10 seconds before us and it is "first come first serve" in that case they should only have 1 line feeding the two service bays. Another vehicle was overfilled and thankfully did not damage the engine. Complained to the general manager, the owner and even Mobile 1 customer service.... nothing. I bought a brand new 2018 GMC Sierra. I waxed the truck by hand to get the paint ready for the winter then the same day brought the truck here for an oil spray. The hoses that hang from the ceiling were covered in gravel and scratched through the clear coat on both front fenders, all 4 doors and both sides of the box. I called David the same day and let him know what had happened. I drove back there the next day and they admitted fault in writing. They sent me to Speedvale Auto Detailing which is a sizeable shop with 2 locations. The 2 owners of Speedvale Auto Detailing Cong and Fergus along with their main buffer said the damage was too deep and the truck would need to be repainted. Once Dany found out the damage can't just be buffed out, they refused accountability. The Gm dealership quoted $8000.00 to sand down, repaint and reclear coat over 80% of the brand new truck. Called in to ask about oil and and oil change. Frank was absolutely amazing. Provided me with all the information needed, wasn't pushy. And I went straight there. Did not try to upsell me at all. Oil change came with a free car wash and he gave me a 5$ off on the oil change just for coming in. I've went to Mr Lube previous to this and had been up sold on a million things and they also took my keys and lost them for 15 minuets. read more

I have a 2014 car with less than 55,000km on it. I always verify before doing anything other than an oil change. The attendant advised me that my transmission fluid was extremely dirty and that if I didn't get it flushed immediately that I was going to void my warranty. What he didn't expect was that I've read my owners manual. I asked about pricing (I should know this anyways) and was advised $240 but if I did it today he would give me $10 off and an extra free car wash. I declined and said I would look into it. Then to further this he went somewhere and came back with transmission fluid in a container that looked dark brown and told me it should be "crystal clear" (which is a lie as it's a translucent amber color BRAND NEW). He stressed again I was greatly putting myself at risk of damaging my car and voiding my warranty. Called Ford and they laughed and asked if it was Jiffy Lube or Mobil 1 immediately and advised me they were outright lying. When my fiance called after the guy stated they have to change transmission fluid every 2 years and that is the policy for all vehicles (again an outright lie). The point? This guy's intention was to purposefully scare someone into spending a further $240 to the point they would imply your safety and security was at risk. Explain to me how this is any different than those scamming people out of money say they work for Microsoft, CRA, etc? read more

BAD SERVICE...... Went in for just an oil change. Told them "no" for a differential oil change. Said no another 10 times after that. They needed to take off a skid plate for the oil change to get to the oil filter. Stripped the bolts and also unable to get one bolt back in when putting the skid plate back. Claimed the bolts were already like that. This is a brand new vehicle that I have no time to service at the dealership, that's the only reason I came here. Bad decision coming here on my part. Dishonest is the most appropriate way to start this. The staff here caught me off guard and I'll advised during a routine oil change and aggressively tried to convince me that I "needed" and oil flush which is complete bull****. Unfortunately it wasn't until I conferred with some friends after did I realize this scam. Further, Mobil1 staff tried to convince me that I should pay $300+ for a transmission flush for my Kia, which is way over priced in the opinions of others who work in the automotive industry. I wish I had paused at every single suggestion they posed and called someone first - Rather, I wish I never came here in the first place to be taken advantage of. What sent me really over the edge is, the next day I had massive oil stains in my garage which should never have happened. These unprofessional, cheaters at Mobil 1 didn't live up to their end of the transaction in a number of ways. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I usually do my own oil service on my Altima or go to Great Canadian in Walnut Grove but I decided to give Mobil1 a try. The guy named Barry was too pushy trying to sell me an oil flush and even though I was the only customer with 5 employees present, they didn't even top up my windshield washer fluid, didn't top up my tire pressure, didn't check my lights, and I certainly didn't get offered a coffee, newspaper, or interior vacuum like their website and ads promise even though my receipt stated that they completed interior vacuum! The only employee that actually did anything useful was the woman draining the oil underneath. All that for $57. Wow...Now I know why I do it myself. Why on Earth would I come back? These guys have no customer service sense whatsoever. If you are the Owner of this location, I would be very worried. read more

Went to Mobile 1 at 780 Columbia St., Kamloops on Sept 25/18. The person waiting to guide cars over the pit had to be told by another employee to look up and help me into the shop. This person said, gruffly, well if you're coming in get in. He did not guide me in over the pit. When I got in he was not very friendly at all. He asked what I wanted I told him whatever package was recommended for the truck I was driving. All the time talking to me with his back turned to me making it hard to hear him, I had to ask him to repeat his questions because of this. I gave him a coupon that I received the day before and was told rudely that the coupon was expired but would take it this time. He then punched in my plate number and said, again, rudely you are not in my system and had to enter my information. Nothing was checked on my truck, such as tire pressure, lights (marked as checked), air cleaner, and so on. Before my truck was finished he called a younger man over to finish my bill and he went over to another customer which he knew by name. The bill was still $59. and change plus the $10.00 coupon. After all is said and done Mr. Lube is just down the street and the service is always good. That is where I will go back to next time. read more

This oil change service was truly the best service I have ever received. Every other place I go to, the staff is rude / thinks I know nothing and pushes upsells. The staff at the 56th Ave location made me feel valued, offered drinks on such a hot day and even vacuumed my extremely dirty car, all with a smile on their face. I was just driving past and decided to stop by as I was over due for my service. Although Langley is a bit out of my way, I will definitely stop by this location for my oil change services whenever possible. read more

went for oil change on Sunday. The staff were not moving very quick. There was one truck in the bay that had already been started. I was a bit pressed for time but thought since the truck was already in progress it would not take long. Once the hood was shut i thought okay...not long now. The attendant proceeded to chat for a few minutes. The payment process took forever. After 10 minutes of the hood being shut and I was still sitting there I backed up and left. They did not care that I was waiting and were taking their time. As my husband says...they could not care less that you left. They are paid hourly not by the vehicle....all I did was give them time to do nothing. They probably were hoping you would leave. read more

Do not use this location's car wash! They do not ensure it is working properly. I paid $18 dollars only to discover the car wash was not completing all the cycles so I ended up with a truck covered in soap which I then had to rewash at home. When I spoke to the staff I was told "you will have to wait I'm busy". I would not recommend this car qash especially at the price charged for a suboptimal result. read more

These guys were quick and courteous changing the oil in my wife's minivan. However, upon "checking" the tire pressures, the tech didn't bother checking the placard and lowered each tire to 30 pounds. (The required pressure for our van is 36 PSI per tire all around). Only noticed this when all the tires looked quite low in the driveway. A concern as tire pressures can influence braking and handling. Unimpressed as it takes 2 seconds to check the correct pressure. read more

Find another place not here.....too much oil was added and no coolant top-up. Unfortunately we had them vacuum and didn't see the dipstick or coolant....we waited outside, paid and left. Went home less than 2 km away and it stayed parked for a few days took it a few blocks and it overheated. Took it in and asked to speak to the manager last week he said he would review the camera footage and call us back in a day or 2, it's been a week he hasn't returned our calls.Now our SUV is billowing white smoke checked the coolant and had to add 4 litres of water checked the engine oil when it's cold and it is above the fill line check engine light is on and now it shakes like crazy! The entire staff was super nice accept the manager. When I was waiting in line to get my oil change, a nice young man came out to ask if I wanted any coffee or news paper while I waited. I brought in my own oil and filter so that it would be a bit cheaper on the price. While I was getting my oil change done, I noticed that the manager (Matthew) was extremely snippy to the rest of the employees. I felt as though they were walking on egg shells around him. Once they range my transaction through, the very nice mechanic who did my oil change forgot to give me the discount since I brought in my own oil. When he told Matthew about this, he rolled his eyes and seemed quite irritated. To me, this wasn't a big deal considering that they reimbursed me the difference right away. However, the behaviour I witnessed from the manager Matthew towards the other employees made me feel very uncomfortable so, I can only imagine how the employees feel working in an environment like that. All in all, I had a great experience with the rest of the workers but, I am not impressed with the manager. read more

Caution!!!!!Don't go there!!!!!The guys are working in really unprofessional way. First time I went there to change my oil and coolant. After that at home I found a puddle of the coolant under my car because there was the way too much coolant in the system and everything was messed up and dirty under the hood. Then I checked an engine oil level and have got frustrated because of extreme overfilled level as well. On the second time I decided to give them one more chance,but I double checked the levels by myself. And againwhen I got home was so angry and disappointed ,because at that time I found another big puddle of oil under my car AGAIN!!!!!And it was the way worse first time because they didn't tight up the oil drain plug and filter was also loose. I've lost more than half of the whole amount. Never come there again!!!!!!!They try to act as professionals, but in fact they cannot even do a few simple things!!!!!!!!!!! read more
