Heartfelt thanks to the fellows at Big O! When my Matrix needed new tires, they were quick and knowledgeable, and had the tires I needed in stock. The turnaround time they quoted was accurate, and an hour less than another shop. Kudos on having a very convenient downtown location. After the car was dropped off, they called to advise me that I also needed a wheel alignment, and explained why in a way I understood. This was an added expense, yet I felt like they were taking care of me, and it was really what I needed. When I got the car back, I noticed right away that the car no longer wanders to the left: now it holds a steady straight line, and feels like I'm driving a new car! Hugeeee shoutout to Lucas at the Quadra store! Some of the best customer service i've received in years! I had a difficult to find (and expensive) performance tire blow that I needed fixed ASAP. I went in Monday afternoon and Lucas dug pretty deep to find me a bunch of different solutions and explain the advantages to each, and managed to get the tires I wanted in within one day. This was set to be a huge headache, but I was able to walk out early Wednesday morning(less than 48 hours turnaround when i needed tires shipped in) with brand new tires and a very small bill from what I would have expected. Would highly recommend these guys for all your tire needs, thanks again! read more

This is the tire shop I use for my various needs. I have always been extremely satisfied with the service I have gotten here. In the past I have had to get tires replaced and rotated, wheels aligned etc. Today, I went in to get a slow leak repaired. Every time, they have gotten the job done quickly and much less expensively than I expected the job to cost. For example: today, I was expecting a $60 repair in ~2-3 hrs. The repair only cost me $30 and was done in 30 mins. Also, The service guys were great. I got quick and friendly service on both drop-off and pick-up. Definite recommendation! read more

I heard that Big O Tire had a full automotive mechanical repair facility which I didn't know. I know people who have had good experiences with their Tires, and was told the atmosphere was cozy and friendly, so I thought I would give it a try. I dealt with "Trevor". He was approachable and extremely knowledgeable, making eye contact with me and explaining things in a way that I could understand. He told me they would check things out and give me a call. Later, he called me and gave me a breakdown of what was needed, what could wait, and what might come up in the future. I was given options and was able to pick and choose with no pressure. When I picked up my vehicle, I appreciated the fact that it was ready to go, and I could see the teamwork between staff in serving me. I was in and out quickly and efficiently and felt really good about the whole thing. I felt really good about all my decisions that day. Highly recommend. read more

Today was my first time at Big O. The convenient location on Quadra St. (downtown) allowed me to drop off my vehicle and walk around to do my errands. I dropped in at 8:15 am (open at 8:00am) and they fit me in right away. Had a leak in one of my tires that I asked them to repair. They told me about 1/2 hour till I could pick it up. Got my errands done and headed back 45 minutes later. The tire was repaired, as promised (they had removed a nail and repaired the tire) and economically ($33 incl. taxes). They also let me know that the tires had been overinflated and that they had deflated to the correct / recommended PSI. Fast, friendly, economical service. Will definitely be back for my future tire needs. read more

While working in Victoria for 48 days, the first week I was there, I got a flat tire. Went to the nearest store close to my job and it happened to be this place. I am glad I went here and not anywhere else. Tony Tummillo - Manager helped me. Provided the absolute truth about my tire situation and I never once had the notion that he was trying to up sale me at all. Had an issue with some wheels and they weren't the quickest to solve the issue. They eventually did but they didn't seem like they cared.

I took my car in this week to these guys because of a slow leak in my front tire. I called them late morning, and booked an appointment for 4:00 pm the same day. At 4:00 I dropped off my car and went for a late lunch. About a half hour later went back and found the car ready to go, and the bill was a little less than what they quoted me on the phone. I had several questions about my tires which their guy fully and patiently answered, and I drove away completely satisfied. I can see why they are so highly rated. read more

Some time ago we rolled into the shop, hobbled in really. Another shop in town at a major retailer had done a poor job on our flat repair, and we were flat again. There was a bend in the rim that the other shop had not attended to. Tony had the tire back off, and in no time straightened the ding in the rim, and the tire was back on. And this was all after he would normally have closed the shop - he stayed late to help us. AND, there was next to no charge for the time he took. They forgot to properly tighten all of the lug-nuts on one of my wheels!!!! Almost fell off on the highway!! I got new tires put on at Big-O-Tires and then drove 10-12 km (toward the ferry) before my car started shaking. When I pulled over I noticed all of the lug-nuts on one of my wheels were finger-loose. When I went to discuss this with someone at the shop the manager told me it must have been because they had hired new trainees. I guess they don't have their experiences employees check the work of the trainees before returning it to the customer! Also, Big-O-Tires does not have any Road Hazard Damage warranty on their tires like many other places. Why anyone would buy tires at Big-O-Tires is beyond me. read more

I took my car in for an alignment. They somehow broke my exhaust. I discovered it when I drove off and heard it dragging on the ground. I confronted the manager who simply gave me a shoulder shrug when I said "you broke it and admit it yet won't do anything for me?" They offered me no compensation for their error. They did offer to sell me a new exhaust. I will not return. read more

I was told on the phone that they weren't busy and they could take me right away. When I got there the manager was surly and grumpy and told me it would be at least an hour as they were backed up. I had my grandchild in tow but decided to tough it out. Although I am satisfied with the tires, I wish they would have been polite and honest with me. Two hours later I was on my way. read more
