Came in to have them fix it, and they gave me attitude about timing saying that I'm not a priority and will have to wait. Every time my car is due for oil change or break pads I always come here, I live in laveen but I don't mind driving a little further for awesome service, Carlos is always very nice and attentive always lets you know if there's something else going on with your car and he is very honest. OK warning about taking your vehicle to Midas we took our vehicle to Midas to have are water pump changed they told us we are going to have to replace our timing belt as well and it was going to cost us $740 and it was going to take five hours two hours later we got a call from the manager telling us that when the tech was changing the timing belt it engaged the engine and seized it up and ruined our engine he told us that he was going to replace our engine with a used engine and it was going to take five days this is our only transportation so we had no choice but to let them try and make it right my husband was out of work and we had no way to get around I was so upset because this wasn't the first time that they did work on our car that was not of quality and took them three tries to get that job right but we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt I called the corporate headquarters to let them know what had happened and I guess I expected too much of them to either do the job at no cost or to at least cut it in half because of the fact that it was their fault that they Seized Our engine and cost us more financial burden and a major inconvenience to us but they didn't feel the same way and still charged the $740 to me that saying that it's all about the money to Midas and not the quality of work I can honestly say I will never take my vehicle to another Midas 43rd Ave. and Glendale so disappointed in you Midas as you get a rating of zero stars with me. This place is horrible I took my car to get the water pump replaced and I left the car drove worst it started shaking making noises and the electric system in my car is not working properly. The guy was nice and talked a big game but I left out of there with worst problems and I called them and they said oh well it's going to cost a couple more hundred dollars to fix it. Only one star necause i had to, otherwise a ZERO star day. So after 12 years of loyalty it's time to move on. Bought a Groupon and went on line to make an appointment when I forgot some information I decided to call. Tyler told me that the website is wrong and that they don't use it. I told him it said that to call if within a two hour period, he said he doesn't care what it says and they only take appointments until 3 and to call back after 3 to see if he could get me in. I did and he said they were to busy to take any other cars. Today, Thursday, I took off early to drive in to get into the midas, he sad it would be until 5 told him I would wait (2 hours). I showed him the Groupon and he said they don't take them for synthetic oils, they only for conventional oils. I showed him the fine print. I don't care what it says we don't take it, I can only give $15 credit. Told him unacceptable and walked out furiously. Went home and called another midas and he said that he could do until he found out it was for the midas that wouldn't take the groupon. Told him what had happened. He said they had to take it, he took my name and number. Nick from midas tempe autoplex called back and said that they would take my car right away at this Midas and give me the up charge while using my groupon. Oh by the way groupon was called as well and made aware of the problem as well. read more

Words can't express the service I received. Carlos is awesome!!! Coming from a military Background of diesel mechanics. I'm semi educated on car mechanics, but at the same time...I stress out about anything that comes to my vehicle. I'm a single mom, I drive at the least 80 miles a day for a commute and cash is always tight. Came in for an oil change and my check oil light was on. After my oil change my light would come on and off. I followed up with my bro and my knowledge of what could be wrong, got the best of me. Explaining my issues to Carlos he would not give me definite answer which I respected, so I prepared for the worst. After my inspection, all it came down to was the sending unit. What i thought would have been at least, a $900 job, by replacing the oil pump. Was just a $150 job for the sending unit. My car is good now with no issues. I have never come into contact with a mechanic as Carlos he manages the place. As I was there waiting for my vehicle his service to other patrons was impecable as well. Replacing faulty work done by other shops at minimal charge. This Midas definitely has the touch. Carlos is a beast, his attitude and customer service does not fault, I know, I'm in the industry. My aunt and now my mom will definitely be patrons, after hearing my experience. Could not be more happy with my experience. Carlos I appreciate you!!! If I could give negative stars, I would. I brought my 2015 Jetta in for an UBER vehicle inspection. As soon as the tech got in my vehicle, he accidentally put it in first gear instead of reverse and proceeded to smash my car into the curb in front of the parking spot. I confronted him and he denied it, saying that what I saw was him slamming on the breaks to "check" them. I inspected the undercarriage and I noticed several scratches on the protection plates and the mud flaps. Once I got on the road, I also noticed that my alignment was off, causing the vehicle to veer to the right. I tried to come to an amiable resolution with the manager on duty and I was unable to do so. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and following up with an attorney if need be. That was after I turned down most of the stuff he said I needed. I should have stuck to Firestone. I wish I would have read the review prior to going in. This place is in business to make money. I went in for a oil change and they couldn't do it because the oil drain plug was welded to pan. Said it would be a least a 1000 dollars. I decided to get a second opinion turns out they were wrong. The drain plug wasn't welded to the pan. I went to another place walked out only paying 20 dollars. I'm a young female and don't know much about cars and they dang well knew that and almost took advantage of me. Good think I have a brother who knows cars and where to go. Went to this store to use the $17.99 coupon. The manager tried to upgrade me to the $60.00 oil change and then tried the $40 oil change. I had to get assertive that I wanted what the coupon said and that was all. Before I left the manager took me to my car to show me all of the things that were wrong with it, very minor except one. There was an issue with a lower control arm ball joint under the tire, which I was glad to have pointed out, except he wanted to charge me $459.58 for a part that I bought at Auto Zone for $25.00 and had to unscrew 3 nuts and 1 bolt to change. That is absolutely ridiculous and I will never go there again. read more

Honest guys. If something needs to be fixed, they will show you the problem AND go over details of how they know it needs to be fixed. Very honest. Wonderful, wonderful place to go to get any repair done on your. Tyler is by far the best mechanic I have ever met. I had an issue with my oil leaking and called the shop, not only did he have one of his employees actually leave the store and drive down to my job and take a look at the car, he also fixed the issue at a very low price once I brought it into the shop. He let me bring my car in even though it was close to closing hours, and had the problem fixed in a timely manner that same day. I would honestly recommend everyone go to him. DONT GO HERE!!! They will rip you off! I went in to change the gas tank and they tried to charge me for a broken water pump and radiator leak but i had no problem with that. nothing was leaking but gas from the gas tank. i picked up the car and he wouldn't even give me the diagnostics form after i payed him 100 dollars for the diagnostics. I took it to another mechanic and the radiator was rusted. i did not have a rusted radiator before i went to midas. i didn't think to take pictures or else i could prove it because i thought they were professionals...... read more

This place has left a really bad taste in my mouth and I can no longer keep it to my self., I came here for an alignment they so called did the work , I went to Big O to get an oil change and found out they did not tighten my tire rod and my tires were ready to come off . I immediately called the Midas and the shop Manager said give us a chance to make it right at this point I did not trust them to do any further work on my car I called the owner and he also said give us a chance to make it right I expressed I just wanted my $59.00 back I gave him all my information and he said he would call me back it has been 4 weeks and no return call I told him he should do the right thing and return my money he has not returned any of my call. What a rip off/joke place. I decided to make a big $900.00 repair on my car at this location. The replaced part its supposed to last at leas 100k miles, in many cases as long as the car lasts, so I was told the part had a life time warranty, but just after two years the new part went bad. I went to this joke store to claim my warranty and I was told, and I quote, "thats sucks dude that your car broke again, can't do anything" following with a statement that all their labor and parts have one year warranty only, and if I decided to do the repair it was going to be another $900.00.... !? I just DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. Even a guy doing bussiness on his front yard could be more professional. read more
