Oil was left on the engine compartment as well as the door frame between the driver and the passenger door. When I question them they said well we did two of your cars good you make mistakes oh well. Got a quote around $70 for an oil change. Ended up paying over $100. Brought this to the manager tells me I already signed. Let him know that I was quoted 70 over the phone, and he wants to go over the fine print. That's fine. Maybe it was my mistake. My boyfriend goes in a few weeks later, to have his brakes and rotors done, He was quoted 1100 over the phone, he was charge 1900. These guys are scammers, you can even show any receipt and they will talk circles around it until you get tired and just leave. They don't actually fix the issue they cost you more money. The manager left a comment on an old review of mine, saying that we should come in and they can give us a service to try to earn their name back. And they just argue with us when we got there trying to defend the store. They don't honor the quote-system, they scam you out of your money, and they don't actually fix the issues. Better off going to jiffy lube. Hopefully The next review will include receipts for proof because this is outrageous, they don't even try to save the situation or save the customer relationship, they only take money, ruin your vehicle, then move on to the next person. read more

I am very pleased with their customer service!! I believe Nick is the very first person I spoke with yesterday when I called about my car issue (I was very emotional haha) and he immediately calmed me down and gave me helpful info on what to do until I was able to drop my car off to them this morning. Andres (excuse any misspelling) is who I spoke with when I arrived this morning and he was very professional and personable. It didn't take long at all for him to get started on fixing my baby! Once they pulled it in he let me look at my car and was very clear on what was going on and what work they would be doing (upon approval after diag of course). Vehicle was brought in for a fuel leak. After $1200 fuel pump replacement vehicle still had fuel leak. After further inspection it was discovered their was a recall related to this problem. Vehicle was then taken to the dealership where it was repaired free of charge. The dealership reported that the fuel pump replacement was not necessary. Seems strange that the recall was only found after the $1200 charge. Will be reporting business to BBB to file complaint. read more

I brought my 2020 F350 to Olive avenue location for diagnostics last Saturday the 13th of April around mid day for issues relating to the front end. I specified I had just had it aligned and I believed there was something else going on with it because of its poor drive ability. The only reason I brought it there was because your name came up as a service center that took my warranty (Fidelity) program and it was less than a mile from my home. A couple hours later they called me to tell me they couldn't fit it on the alignment machine. I responded by saying under no uncertain terms did I ask for a alignment and that it's there because I wanted to have the front steering system looked at to determine if there was anything wrong with it and if so was it cover by my warranty. When called at 5:30pm I reached an automated line indicating the location was closed (on a Saturday) which meant my vehicle was there until Monday. At which point I was beside myself thinking how unprofessional it was that they wouldn't communicate with me about this and my vehicle was potentially in a unsafe place for the rest of the weekend.. I decided to drive down there to find they were actually still open. The guy at the counter said, oh yeh, they haven't changed the hours in the service. That said, they (Conner) indicated what was wrong and that he would submit to the warranty company and let me know Monday sometime. I phoned Monday afternoon at 4:30 to be told that he wasn't in that day and he was there by himself and didn't have time. He said he would have Conner reach out to me when he got in at 9am on Tuesday at 4:30 on Tuesday I found myself calling yet again for an update. Conner indicated he hadn't heard back yet and he would let me know when he did. Finally Thursday around mid day he phoned and indicated he received authorization and that I needed to get the vehicle in asap to verify they had tv vehicle before the funds would be released. I dropped the vehicle off later that day and was told it should be done by Friday afternoon. I asked what was being done and how much it would cost (the warranty company). He indicated what was being done and that it was approximately $1700.00. I stopped in the following day to retrieve something from the vehicle and was informed something else was found and they needed to get it from the dealer and they would do their best to get it done Friday. When I didn't hear from them by end of business I assumed it it wasn't done. On Saturday at approximately 2pm I phones for an update and was told that it was off location getting and alignment (no authorization was given to drive offsite) I was not told this had to happen. Additionally I was told they phoned into warranty at 9am for payment and they hadn't heard back (the warranty company closes at 4pm EST on Saturday). I was at that time told they wouldn't release the vehicle until they received payment which meant Monday (at some point hopefully) It was at that point I was informed by Keith that my portion of the bill was $1100.00. Under no uncertain terms was I ever notified nor did I authorize the work to be done under these conditions. I never received or signed an authorization to perform these services. I never received a written estimate. I was not informed of any cost considerations with respect to the additional parts required that they needed to get from the dealer. I was never informed whether I had a choice I of parts manufacturers. I was just never informed of anything. I was lead to believe (intended or not) that I was not responsible for any costs. My warranty indicates "no" deductible unless serviced at the dealer ($50.00). Had I received any indication that I would be responsible for "any" costs I would have opted for the dealer over a shop I have no experience with. Now I do and will say I've been completely mislead. And I will certainly share that experience whenever I can. I trust this issue will be resolved by the time I get my vehicle back. I will be copying this in anticipation of having to share. Unfortunately, I continued to go to this place because I thought I trusted them. I have been going here since I was 16. However, back when I was 16 they weren't corporate. The owner Kerry himself was more involved (who knows if he works there still) but I would be ashamed if this was my legacy now. I do think because I am a women they didn't think I knew anything or would catch onto the lies they were feeding me. I don't think they do honest work anymore. I called and asked for a simple quote on what I need done. They refuse to give me a price over the phone and said that I need to just bring it in to have a tech go over my vehicle to verify the issue. I don't have a lot of time in my schedule to go and waste time somewhere and wait for them to diagnose an "issue" all I wanted to know is a price on recalibrating my speedometer due to my tire size change. The guy over the phone tells me it sounds like a wheel speed sensor issue, which it is absolutely not. I have bigger than stock tires which makes my speedometer read 7mph lower than it should. read more

Never going back. My van took up permanent residence there. 6 weeks total. It's the thermostat, fixed and safe to drive...NOT. got heat stroke trying to get back to Phoenix. Oh, it's the cooling fan, or maybe the regulator, or maybe the fins on the fuel pump or.... OH, it's the wiring chassis. $1200 later I go to get it, dead battery because they thought the lights turned themselves off automatically. Jump started it and sent me home, where the van still sits in the driveway unable to start. Called them and they said, oh it's the TIPCM, as stated on my workorder. Don't actually TELL me that. Let me take it home when you know it won't start again. I live on a fixed disability pension and now I can't afford to get it fixed as ai had to borrow to pay for their other rip-off. read more

They took the car and 2hrs longer than stated... only to quote a price of $850 to replace the brake pads and rotors on the rear axle. We got our car the hell out of there of course and took it to Brake Masters and got the job done in two hours for $358!!! Do not have your vehicle serviced by these people. They clearly make their money due to dishonest business practices, and these other reviews confirm that. It is a wonder how they are still in business. My story: Kerry's Car Care falsely recommended to my wife a brake job and caused a man engine code after an oil change. My wife took her 2019 Chevy Equinox in to get an oil change after receiving a coupon in the mail. When she went to pick up the car, they stated that her front brake pads were at 2 mm and needed to be replaced along with the rotors that were "warped". She was quoted almost $900 for the job. After hearing this, I had decided to take a look at them myself as I have worked on vehicles for more than 15 years and the parts for that job are only about $250. The rotors did not feel warped initially, and measurements confirmed that after I further inspected it. I took a look at everything, and the rotors were not warped at all, and the brake pads had roughly 8 mm left on them. MUCH more than 2mm in terms of brake pad life. They clearly saw a woman walk in with a baby and thought "we can get this out of her if we state a safety concern". Absolutely ridiculous. On top of this, immediately after picking up the car, the check engine light was on throwing a P0171 code, which indicates a lean condition. Quite suspicious for the only code the car has ever thrown to occur immediately after their servicing... After calling and asking for a diagnosis as it could've been an accident during servicing such as a "knicked" vacuum line, I was told definitively that it was the fuel pump causing that code (without even actually diagnosing). This would also have cost a $175 diagnostic fee even though I hoped they would check it out for free on good faith. Like I said, I have a pretty good understanding of vehicles, and I know that there are multiple factors that could cause that issue, but they decided to state that it was the fuel pump which would've been over $2000 to replace. I know the symptoms of a bad fuel pump, and the car never exhibited any of those past a simple lean condition. After checking all vacuum lines, I disconnected the battery and cleaned off the mass airflow sensor and the code cleared and has stayed off for the last 1500 miles. It is interesting how they were so willing to do an unnecessary fuel pump replacement. These people WILL try to scam you out of your money. Take your business elsewhere. read more

I had my belts replaced by Kerry's. I had a problem with the squealing, so I took it in to have it fixed. I was told by the person at the counter that the tech had no advice for me. I'm not sure what that meant, but they didn't fix it. I took it back again today. I sat in the waiting room for at least an hour, and they never touched my car. Took my wife's car for an oil change, while in the waiting room Technician/Mechanic called me to the counter. He proceeds to show me a really bad air filter, says that it needs to be replaced. I declined, i can replace it myself for cheaper and no labor.... The air filter showed to me was bad, like really bad. Immediately after leaving, I went straight to AutoZone to purchase the replacement. Get home and start removing the filter, my daughter comes outside and asks what I'm doing, I said Kerry's advised that i need a new filter.. She laughs, dad we I changed the filter about 6 months ago. I pull out the one in the car and guess what, it was NOT the one they showed me, its still "Clean" with little to no debris. I am glad I decline all service's.. Makes me wonder if they actually changed the oil or did they just reset the computer.. read more

Phenomenal experience! Updated (12/15/2020) I went again to get a degrease done on my Honda as there was some oil spill on my engine. After I got my service done I had some other issues that Andy, Jason, and TJ were able to help me on. They did such a fantastic job, going above and beyond, that my car continues to run astoundingly! I can not recommend these people enough!!!! Great service and a great customer experience From (3/18/2020) - I went in for an oil change but appreciated the feedback from John as I got preventative maintenance done on my Honda and meanwhile certain prices seemed out of my price range they were able to price match with other vendors in the area for my spark plugs and even give me a student discount. The honest service here keeps me coming back, there's no feeling of being sold on unnecessary maintenance as there is always a reason they point out an issue to you. At the end of the day you decide what you want done. The shuttle service for people with just one car is also a bonus. Honestly it's hard to come by auto shops that don't want to rip people off, so Kerry's is a definite go-to. This has been my experience so far and I'll keep going for my oil changes as they do a wonderful and reliable job. read more

Unfortunately I did and I got my suv back in worse shape and the issues weren't even fixed. I have pictures and video of liquid all over my engine, battery and top of the hood and gloves being left in the engine. Like who does that? How are these people even still in business. They have no clue what they're doing and just want to ass rap you with "labor" costs. Kerry's on 43rd used to be a reputable shop, but today is the last time I spend my hard earned money on a business that is less than honest about the work that needs to be completed and the time it takes to do said work. I had a 7am appointment for an oil change. Within 15 min. or so, the guy at the desk physically shows me that oil is leaking from where the gasket and oil pan connect. He states that I will need a new gasket and that it is a 4 hour job, and the cost with my full synthetic oil change would be $750.00. He then offered me a Lyft ride home, which I declined as I preferred to walk the mile and a half and get some excercise. I didn't prefer to walk back, so my husband dropped me off around 9:45, when I also asked the guy if they honored a military or veterans discount. He replied yes. I was thankful for that being it was a costly repair. LIE #1- After sitting in the lobby for a bit, the guy mentions that my car won't be done until 5pm, and again...offers me a ride home. Naturally, I was surprised by this because earlier, he had told me that it was a 4 hour job, which would have put me out of there by 11:30am. I was then told that it takes time for the sealant to cure, so that's why it couldn't be done til end of day. I asked him to just finish the oil change, and I would get the repair done on a different day. LIE #2- Since they hadn't even started on my car at that point, he asked when I would need my vehicle. I told him that I needed to be to work by 3:30. In an effort to "save the sale", he said that they were waiting on the part (gasket) to come in, and because it didn't require the sealant, they would have my car ready by 2pm. I went out for a smoke, and watched the technician take the oil pan off and set it to the side at 10:28am. So...it took about a half hour to take the oil pan off. After not hearing anything from the desk guy, or seeing a parts guy deliver the gasket, I walked over and ask the tech if it needed the gasket or if it was just prior sealed with sealant only. He replied that there was no gasket, just sealant. Now...I was even more curious, because nobody came to tell me that, and had I not inquired, would have never known....LIE #3. I kept an eye on my oil pan sitting there for about an hour, then around 11:30 decided to have lunch at a neighboring restaurant. Maybe this was the curing time he talked about??? I walked back from lunch around 12:40 and saw the tech putting the oil pan back on. Around 1:40, the tech brought up the work order with my keys to a different guy at the desk than I had previously been working with. Here comes LIE#4- When he said my total was $759, I asked him about the military discount that was previously discussed, and he said that it had already been applied. According to my receipt, the only discount I received was the coupon I brought in for my full synthetic oil change. Then I argued why I should have to pay for the hour that they weren't even working on my vehicle, and that the max time online (after researching while waiting) for this specific repair should only take 1.7-2.5 hours max, and they are charging for 4 hours is preposterous! He also shared his disgust about me asking his tech about the gasket when I should have been sitting in the lobby. He said " We have you on camera" . Who cares? Since when is a patron not able to intermittently watch their car being worked on? I guess they are so used to doing a lackluster job and not getting called out, that it makes them furious when somebody actually does. LIE#5 While in the process of paying, he also stated that if their was any issues with it leaking, it would be on me for any repairs because the warranty was null and void because I declined on waiting the cure time for the sealant! Now riddle me this Batman...how could I possibly decline the cure time on the sealant when I was told that my vehicle didn't require sealant, just the gasket? They refused to give me the owner's information as well. He really should know what these guys are pulling over here. Beware! read more

my car broke down on the way to work, I had to have it towed. They said it was the fuel pump. then they said the fuel lines had to be cleaned and new spark plugs. They charged me 2865.00 for this. When I called other shops they were form a 1000 to 1300 cheaper. Im a hard working woman and this was a punch in the gut. Our vehicle had a slow ac leak that I couldn't find with my uv light after filling the ac with a uv detecting can from AutoZone. So we took the truck in and they told us this would be covered under a free ac inspection coupon, they send in the mail. Then they call back and say I can't use that coupon and that they have to fill the entire system up with Freon and leak detector fluid. I tell them I put that through it already and they say it has to be theirs.. so they quoted that at $400! Knowing all that Freon will leak out too.. so we got the truck, waited until night and got out the black light. Found the leak. My wife helped me fix it for under $200. I took my car in a month ago to get my A/C Fixed. They said it needed to be recharged and some valves, hoses, and seals. Cost a bit over $700. A few days ago the A/C stops working altogether. Take it back in to see what's the issue. They now say my A/C compressor is bad and that it's going to be $1,250 for the compressor and to recharge the system AGAIN. I call them to find out why they didn't inspect the compressor the first time around and they said that it was covered in oil. I ask, so you couldn't wipe it off to inspect the entire A/C system like I initially requested? I get every excuse in the book as to why they didn't inspect the compressor and then they start blaming me and saying that if you wanted a compressor repaired you should have asked for it. #FML If I was a mechanic I would have never brought it to you in the first place. THEN, the say you need an A/C Kit which would have been another $2,400. And that if I don't get the kit they can't warranty any A/C work. So I ask, if I didn't start asking questions and I would have approved the A/C Compressor repair as you recommended and it failed for any reason, and had to come back...I wouldn't have a warranty? The General Manager at this point responds, correct...you'll have no warranty. So would which repair would you like? Everyone I've spoken to during this ordeal has no customer service skills whatsoever. I am now dumber for having dealt with these people and stepped into their business. I am amazed at the lack of care and attention Kerry's team has for it's customers vehicle and personal belongings. I dropped off my car on Thursday and had to grab something from my car today just to see that everything in my center console had been thrown around and my glasses were stolen. I attempted to work with Devlin - the manager; to get the issue resolved just to get greeted with a shrug to say "oh well". Devlin was not helpful and made it a point to remind me they're not responsible for any loss or damage that happens to the vehicle rather than resolve the issue. He was very rude and from my experience I don't recommend Kerry's for anything car related unless you're looking for frustration, waste of time and money. P.S. After my car was serviced at the end of August for an engine light issue and then the engine light came on a week later, I left a harsh review for their business. To their credit, the GM Mike called me a few days later to ask me to bring my car back in so they could see what the problem was. Their call wasn't about my review but about my car. When I brought the car back in and their shuttle took me to work, they were able to investigate, find the problem and fix the problem. I appreciate their commitment to improve their customer service and make sure that someone like myself can feel comfortable bringing her car back to Kerry's on Mariposa and can trust the service being provided. read more

These people don't care about their customers!!! I've been to Kerry's Car Care in Glendale 3 times now, and each time I was left extremely frustrated. The FIRST time I came in to get an oil change and full inspection. They did that no problem- and no problem on the major bill for what is at most places a complimentary inspection The SECOND time I came in and said okay- do the repairs you said needed to be done during the inspection. Well SOMEHOW, they lost my entire file!!! The only reason I had come back was because they were the ones who knew what was going on with my car!! So what was that expensive inspection for??? After I explained what I could remember of what needed to be done and left (easy things- a filter change and air in the tires, plus an anti-rust coating on the bottom of the car if there was time- which they assured me there was) I received no contact for the next day. When I called in to get a shuttle in the morning, the guy showed up an hour late! Now here's the kicker- when I got there, they hadn't even touched the car!!! They had an extra day to work on these "easy" fixes that they had told me would be done the day before!! And my car hadn't even been looked at!!! Shame on me for trying these people again, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. So the THIRD time I came in I dropped off my car two days before I needed it and said that I wanted anything that could be done before Wednesday at 7. They said okay, we'll take care of it. After two days not being able to use my car, I take an Uber to the shop (I will never trust their flakey shuttle service again) and stand outside with several other ladies waiting for the doors to open- even though it was after 7am (when it says the place is supposed to open) and there were a bunch of mechanics walking around us to the garage. No hello, good morning, nothing. Just total silence while several women are waiting outside in the heat for the doors to be unlocked. So, giving this place the benefit of the doubt, I go in to pick up my car. My wife took her Jetta in because it wasn't running quite right. When they called with the diagnosis they wanted to charge her around $1,000 for a cracked spark plug! I called at 9 30am for a jump because I had an appointment at 10am. Cori said it would be 20 minutes. So I waited. A hour went by. Called again. Cori says as soon as they drop the truck off I'll my guys on the way. Two hours later nothing. I had a neighbor help. There's no communication except when there ordering lunch. I will never return. I took my car in on Friday to figure out why my engine was on and they wanted me to do a diagnostic test for my car. They charged me $195 just to do diagnostic test on my car which I thought was absolutely ridiculous! So they told me what needed to be done to my car and I let them fixed the problem for my car which was ignition knock sensor and also the engine intake manifold gasket set. For two parts that they get from auto zone was $219, $97 plus labor fee which was $263. The total amount plus fees was $667 dollars. I did my research on the parts that needed to be replaced and they both were under $100 dollars at auto zone which is where they get their parts from. So apparently I thought they fixed the problem and it turned out that they didn't after paying that much money. So I took it back to them today to see if they could fix it again. They call me 10 minutes after I leave and tell me that I need a new engine and wanted me to pay 10,000 dollars for it. I clearly wasted my money going to this shop. I should have done my research on the company. They are money scammers they tell one thing and then when you have the same problem they want to tell you something different about the vehicle. Do not take your car to this company and make sure you do your research and reviews before going into getting your car checked out. Don't be like me and regret it. read more
