I didn't have to say to much when explaining to him about the situation I had with the technician at 67th Indian school about light on dashboard that was never there until after he serviced my vehicle. then the air pressure ( ! ) came on dash and thanks to Steven he not only took care of the issue he also explained to me that the kind of vehicle I have don't have sensors and also showed me how to fix that issue for the next time I put air in tires he showed me that you then have to calibrate it in settings he was very very helpful and made my day for him truely knowing his job on what he does well and done it so fast I was greatful to get service with him from now on ..43Ave Glendale is my store location not near me but was well worth coming and will continue coming here for service from now on ....Thanks you Steven S. for your excellent customer service greatly appreciated 1000% read more

If I can give zero stars I would... I took my car in to get my alternator looked at Steve helped me first did an oil change, got my car back my right headlight was out quoted me $185 to come back and diagnose it after service keep in mind was working before service. I come in the next day manager Brian T. Was there I explained after service it was out he said well $hit happens like wtf kind of customer service is that. He tried to charge me based off Steve's quote I explained I checked fuses and connector when I got home so when they checked, that's exactly what they put on the report. I said I'm not paying $185 for an issue I checked myself they basically kept my car for 4 hours did a visual inspection and said I need a new headlight. I got my headlight electrical tested and welp it turned on. Horrible service, horrible team just hustling for money out of their customers. Before I left the shop he zeroed my account out and said never come back. You got that right never going back to $hitty service they need better management. read more

He tried to scare me saying that if I went anywhere else and they did it my car would be leaking oil and the problem would get worse. Okay. Sure. So I tell him to take my car off and give me my keys. They refused to do the oil change if I did not get the other work done. So I left and went to Take 5 and guess what!! They did it no problem and no leaks. Avoid this location. Made an appointment to get an alignment for my truck. There are two customers ahead of me and I'm listening to the conversations, the manager guy, I guess, who I felt was over charging and over selling his unique ability to save you money, while being over charged. (I work in a auto part industry) It went from one hundred and something for the alignment, then found other repairs that need to be addressed, they honestly do, but over a thousand dollars for rear shock replacements! Looked up repair cost while sitting there and I called my mechanic(doesn't have an alignment machine) and told him what was going on and was being charged. He said "boss, that's way to much, just remember what parts you need, I'll do it for a lot less than that, that's just to high for that repair." Well, I told guy that I did not want to proceed, I feel that it's to much and just lower my truck so I can leave. It got heated he told me to "get the F*** out of his store!" he yelled, "don't come back!" Iol I walked out and called The Glendale Police department, strated talking to an officer, the manager guy, walks out into the bays where the mechanics were, I'd been standing in the parking lot and I asked him are you going to lower my truck down so I can leave? He yelled, "I'll give you your F****** truck back when I decide to!" He literally started walking towards me saying, "I'm not the one, I'm not the one", I told the officer what he was saying, the call dropped suspiciously lol Well after sitting on the 3ft hig walled fence for about 5-10 minutes they finally lowered my truck and backed it out to the park lot, didn't leave the keys in the truck I had to go inside and get my keys from him after signing that I'm not being charged for anything. While standing there signing he asked "You're not going to stick around for the police to show up?" I said nothing, he called behind, "me don't you want to receipt" I walked out to my truck and left. The guy literally got pissed off because I wouldn't let him rip me off! lol there was cameras there, I'm sure there's video footage of everything that took place. They misdiagnosed my car and replaced the fuel filler hose when it should've been the cracked emissions canister. They discovered the crack after replacing the wrong part and now they want to charge me again to fix the right part. I called ahead for a transmission fluid change. I was told they had time in 15 minutes if I brought my vehicle right away. I arrived in ten minutes and my car sat from 10:17am until 1:30pm. They began the work to change the fluid and my vehicle was not ready until 2:50pm, where the manager behind the desk began to type something into the computer and had me stand there for another fifteen minutes due to him attempting to sell me a oil change(new oil change I purchased 4 days earlier at a different business), a sway bar linkage change, brakes(quote $667), rotor boots for the A arms, front struts $400, cabin air filters (which were changed out six months earlier), new drive belts$338). When I kept refusing additional repairs he began telling me how I was putting the public at risk and how he could not in good conscience let me leave without fixing my brakes. I finally was able to leave Mr. Norris' shop. I had my brakes fixed at another shop that observed a lot of transmission leaks. I called Midas on Monday and asked for a Tuesday return to get my transmission looked at. They agreed to look at my car on Tuesday afternoon. I returned and when Mr. Norris heard I had my brakes fixed on Monday, he stated he had to know where I went and what I paid. I told him it was not his business. He insisted that I tell him. I told him which branded shop, he wanted to know the location and what I paid. I said that is none of his business. He came out from behind the counter and started walking toward me telling me I had to tell him, that he needs to know his competition and how his employee used to work for that particular company and how all of them lie. That I was lied to about the transmission leak. I explained that the staff showed me where it was leaking from several locations and pink liquid was all over. He began to tell me it was over flow accumulating on the vehicle wind shield below the car. That it was not a leak. He kept walking toward me, so I walked out of the shop out to the parking lot and stood a distance away under a tree. He walked clear out next to me under the tree still badgering me for information. I kept saying it was none of his business, that the transmission issue is his business, to take care of that. I felt scared and attacked by this big burly man. I kept walking away from his location and he followed me. I have never had someone come at me, insisting I give them information about where I took my vehicle for brake repairs. Him and his professional team took care of me had me in and out in less than an hour. He did exactly what the dealership would have done but for 68 bucks!!! The dealership wanted to charge me extra fees and extra add-ons Carlos cut straight to the case this is what I need to be done, and this how much it's going to cost. Went in for an oil change this morning. Was told my car needed full synthetic which i have never needed prior to today since it's an older car. ($19.99 now turned to $39.99) which i agreed since what do i know about cars? After they took the car up, they came in to ask if i've ever had any issues starting car recently.. i had not. They stated i needed a new starter because they could not get the car to start.. i was quoted $475. i did not plan on having this issue come up suddenly so i said i couldn't do it.. they sugggested holding off on the oil change and they would "attempt to start the car" in order for me to get home. Car started and they got it down and pulled it around for me. As i get in, the guy had said my check engine light was on. Again, never seen this come on in the 3 years i've had this vehicle. Came home and turned off car and went to restart it and it started fine. Came here to have our truck looked at for a coolant leak, told it would be done by the end of the week but actually had it done th same day, the heater core was replaced and went in and paid to get our truck back, noticed a couple things out of place and figured they'd be in the truck, got home and further inspected the truck and found a crack on the dash, tabs and inserts missing and interior pieces misaligned/crooked, dirty foot prints and finger prints all around, as well as a personal item missing from the truck, basically like the truck was rushed through, went back to address our issues and was called irate, not even showing aggression at all, was cut off a couple times and had our concerns downplayed and just felt disrespected and was talked down to, very unprofessional and disgusting experience especially for a manager, a person the company saw fit to mange the store would handle a scenario in such an egregious manner, called back about matter after leaving and was disregarded over the phone as if we were just trying to get free work, called corporate office and got to the district manager who really just gave us an "sorry YOU feel that way" at that point we really did not wanna pay for the work we had received and had it disputed, was told due to the dispute they cannot issue a refund for the work and wasn't given an answer if we had dropped it, BUT was alluded that we would try to TAKE their refund as well as our credit card company to have double the money, for ONE that is literally fraud, and TWO credit unions literally remove their adjustment once received the merchants refund, so didn't appreciate having thought As if we are trying to con them, since then they have been avoiding contacting us back and are giving the cold shoulder to us about any sort of compensation other than a "I'm sorry you feel that way" and getting a two worded "we're sorry" from the owners, I say again, most worst experience I have dealt with, with any business as we matter of fact, PLEASE BEWARE and chose wisely where you take your vehicle for you automotive needs, will never ever do business with Midas again read more

I did not even initiate the conversation shockingly this time. Ha! The man behind the counter was reacting to the TV on in the lounge and believe you me I was very shocked by his attitude. You never know how people feel or who they support do you? Keep that conversation away from people who just want to run their darn errands. I guess the service was okay if not long in my opinion. I do think they were being a bit dishonest/pushy with me on upgrades though. It is nothing I could prove or put my finger on exactly. However, normally I go to my dealer and they keep excellent records. What these guys were telling me just did not coincide nor make sense. Like I said I could be wrong since I am not a mechanic. Went here a few weeks ago. Manager tries to get me to pay $1300 for 4 new rotors, all new brake pads, and an oil change. I went in for pads and an oil change. First of all, beware of this tactic. They will tell you a price, push the paper in front of you and hand you the pen. This is supposed to make you feel obligated to accept and sign. Don't fall for it. I saw the $129.99 brake special in front and when the guy asked how much I was willing to spend I told him $129.99. He basically laughed at me. I point to the sign and he said "well, that's just for one side" I gave him this knowing smile. The "you're full of shit" smile. So two sides would be $260, right? Why are you trying to charge me $1300? I haggled him down to $350 and that was his bottom line. That's still more than $260. This guy is a crook. I don't remember his name, but I do remember his name tag was stapled onto his shirt and he is the New York accented, bifocal wearing, manager. Oh, and his favorite line is "We're still cheaper than the dealer!" haha be careful, this guy is a salesman and not a mechanic. After going to a completely different business near my work that couldn't help me, I hauled butt over to Midas where Tyler came outside instantly, took out a screwdriver and replaced it for me in 5 minutes and I was on my way back to work. Tomorrow my car will have been there a month for an engine swap .I do not recommend this business to anyone. I have been told by Carlos that he pretty much had to hype his workers up to start the job which 100 percent to me sounds like no one even wants to do it. I was told it would be done either today or last Saturday after 2-3 other empty promises of it being done. Even got told it was priority last week to get me to go away which was a big lie. Communication is terrible and I'm pretty sure it's cause my car is sitting and you can't give an update on something you aren't doing but are acting like you are.I'm always being told people are diligently working on my car when I ask(corporate and the workers both used the same phrase.. must be manager handbook stuff) . Then I go by a couple days later and it's in the same position. I have to pass by the place everyday to get my lady to work. I see plenty of cars come and go. Mines is being put off for whatever reason. Cause it doesn't suit anyone there's interests. All I can do is hope my car works properly and I don't get strung into having to get more stuff done like I've been seeing other people have been dealing with with Midas . Go to a mom and pops shop . Support a small business who will care more. I've been cost unnecessary money for taking ubers cause the bus has only been able to have 10 people at a time due to Covid and my wife has to get to work. The reason for this is i keep getting bad time estimates. Last update I got was from corporate. And it didn't fall through. I have been keeping pictures , videos, and receipt of everything. Need to know something real. If other people can get their stuff done around the clock I'm being put off. I've talked to mechanics who can do the job in 2 days. The reason I don't really appreciate the run around is cause it's disrespect. You do that to people who don't know about cars to stall them and buy time for whatever personal reasons. My least favorite part of all this is the insult to my intelligence. If it was the other way around you wouldn't go for It and you know that. When I contacted corporate I stated I was not lookin for any compensation , just Clarity and was told I would have the car today. That is not the case. My 1979 Cadillac fleetwood got an oil change here about a week or two ago. I checked the oil today. And it was bone dry. I don't know if Midas has anything to do with it or if it's the car but I didn't have the problem before. But my husbands 1981 Monte Carlo has been there for a month now and have been having issues getting clear communication on the cars status and given the runaround often. Brought my vehicle in for check engine light (and when you shut the car off the oil light goes on). Had approx. $450 work done on the engine, filters, including oil change,etc. Check engine light was off for a day then came back on. I told the manager and he said bring it back in. He ran some codes and told me it needed more work so I would have to have them do a diagnostic. Well, they did a diagnostic already (or should have done the diagnostic) when I brought it in the last time and spent the $450. I trusted them and gave them one more chance. This time it was $793 for crankcase, fuel pump filter, etc. The next day the check engine light came on and when you shut the car off the oil light comes on. Car is still not fixed. Called the manager and he said bring it in again. You gotta be kidding me really??? Either they don't know how to fix this vehicle or are trying to rob me. I think they don't know what the issue is and are clueless how to fix it. Either way, now after almost $1,300, my check engine light/oil light is on and who knows what is wrong with it. I cannot go back to this shop and now have to find another place. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND UNHAPPY!!! I even called corporate and they said "it's all under warranty". Cookie-cutter answer. No one could help me after being transferred to 3 people. In, conclusion, the Midas shop should have found all issues the first time, let me know what it all was, and fixed everything. Not to mention I am really busy and all of the time spent going back was very inconvenient.
