I planned to replace my brake pad since it is now over 50K miles. While I made an appointment, midas.com shows there is a coupon for free brake check and it is expired at the end of this month. Not important since I wanted to replace it anyway. When I arrived, the lady told me about inspection fee $40 that would be included in the final fee if I got the service. No problem. But since I see the coupon, I casually mentioned about coupon. The lady said it is mis-leading or I mis-understood and I have to pay $40 if I don't get the service. I think it is not a big issue since I wanted to replace the pad anyway. But I didn't feel too good so I asked why you don't honor the coupon advertised in the website. She keep saying I mis-understood or web-site is wrong. It is not a big deal but I already feel bad and feel that this shop is not trust-worthy. So walked out without service since I want to spend my money to the business who can be trusted. And unfortunately, I tried midas first time and I don't think it is trust-worthy company. read more

I dropped in without an appointment hoping to get a synthetic oil change and was very pleased with the service I received. I was seen quickly, given the option to add on an additional service (cabin filter change, which I knew I needed) at a low fee and almost no additional time. This location accepted corporate coupons which saved me money, and additional future service was recommended based on my mileage (changing spark plugs) but I felt no pressure to complete the work that day, or with this store. Had appointment for oil change and was done quickly. I don't know if it was because I had a "free" oil change coupon but never got the regular printout where it shows they checked everything, filter, fluids etc. Was disappointed I didn't get that! The coupon also said free tire rotation and when I asked, he stated "oh that's old info"!! If old then why on coupon I was given by asst manager, I believe. I tried to get my oil changed here earlier today. Two employees were unable to open my car hood in order to do the oil change. One of them inferred that something was wrong with my car and that's why the hood wouldn't open. I told him no one has ever had an issue with it before, and nothing has happened to my car. When I asked if he could ask someone else to open it, he insisted it was my car that was the problem and refused to ask the one other employee I saw nearby. Since I was pretty sure this was user error and not actually a problem with my car, I took it to a different oil change place down the street and they were able to open my hood with no problem. In addition to the two Speedee employees not being able to open my hood, the guy that moved my car to the garage left the driver seat so far up and forward that I could barely get in my car. They also placed a regular sticker on the inside of my windshield that wasn't the non-residue or glass-safe kind of stickers that other car places usually use. This could have easily ruined my very expensive tint on my windshield. The employees were nice, but due to the inconvenience of them not being able to open my car hood, I will never go there again and wouldn't recommend this Speedee location to anyone. It seems as though some of the employees might not have enough experience with various car types? I have a 2017 Ford Mustang for reference. read more

I appreciated the service, and most of all the experience. That experience that comes with age, wisdom and the love for doing the work. I've taken my cars where I thought I was receiving top quality treatment, but in the end my oil pan plug was stripped and other things, which they didn't want to take responsibility for! However, at Speedee I was able to watch everything that was being done and how my car was treated with care was handled. With appointments I'm and out in under an hour (good considering Mercedes are more involved than some others). It's not cheap for full-synthetic, but you get ~10k miles, so it means less visits than I used to have to make. Also, there's usually a coupon available online. SCAMMER ALERT!!! My 20 year old daughter was just there for an oil change when the mechanic tried to scam her, luckily she called me! He had her car on a lift and said her brake pads were low but to get a better look he wanted $40 to inspect the pads. He told her from what he could see they were low and needed to be changed. Luckily she called me and I told her I would look at them for her to save money. I did not have to take the tires off to see that she had 3/4 pad life left in front and 1/2 pad life in the rear!! That a good 30-40k miles left on the pads!! He put in his report that the sensors were going off which is ridiculous!!
