The price was hefty and I decided to get estimates from BMW service specialists. Based on the super high ratings for Performance Autowerk, they were high on my list. When I reviewed the work that needed to be done, Rich suggested that I bring in my car so he could check it free of charge to make sure the work was needed and not being upsold. He provided a quick and very reasonable estimate. In the end, I decided to use another place because his shop is a long drive for me. But I would recommend him to anyone in the Dublin area.

We did not feel valued as a new client. Felt dishonest and the reasoning given was questionable for not having a tool to diagnose our car. We waited patiently for weeks and was understanding until it did not feel right anymore. How can a business not have a tool to diagnose a car??? I am sure we are not the only car that need this tool. It is so simple, if they do not want to fix our car, or too complicated, they can just say so! From September, if they really wanted our business, the owner could have reached out by now. Which we thought that this review is much needed. The owner was even throwing a shop name to us thinking he is helping but the shop do not even specialize on our car.

I went to Dublin Auto care with a check engine light on my 2015 Sienna. I had a diag code and…read moresuspected spark plugs needed to be replaced. They gave me a days time. They ended up scaring me about engine mounts falling apart and a wheel controller joint breaking any time. Basically normal wear and tear but they made it sound like emergency repair. They pointed out an oil leak I was aware of and asked them to take care of that. Here is what happened: They took 3 days for spark plugs and $1k Replaced leaking valve cover gasket for $250 When I picked up the car it wouldn't start as they had screwed up the battery terminal and initially lied that they didn't touch the battery terminal. Anyways, I had to replace it myself in the end. After I left within 24 hours my tpms shows low air pressure in the tires but there is actually air in all tires with adequate pressure.i got it checked a few times. Within 7 days I saw a lot of oil in my garage from the car. I didn't get a warning but my oil dip stick showed almost no oil. I had to put in 6 quarts. I don't know what more leaks they have caused. It's a terrible place to go and they are incompetent and dishonest!

A great friend suggested this place to me. I normally do dealership service but she said to try out…read morethis place. I came in early and Alan took the key and phone number. He said he will try to get it done by 1 but definitely before 5. I told him the service warning that shows up on my dashboard and he said no worries. He will check and let me know if there are additional work. Called about 3 hours later saying the car is done! No upsell, no long winded explanation. Just told me one concern that should be addressed on the next service time and that's it. Price is much more reasonable than dealership. Just be warned, there is no place to wait. I ended up walking to Panera to wait for my car. If you have someone who can pick you up and drive you back that's better. There is also Johnny's donut a little bit down the road or Taco Bell across the street. Glad to have found a reasonably priced , honest mechanic around here. I'll be back for sure. I was told that he's pretty busy and can't guarantee your calls will be picked up. So I didn't even try to make an appointment . I just drove my car there and hoped for the best.

This post is long, long overdue. I've been going to Tri Valley Auto for the past 8 years. I love…read moreTri-Valley Automotive. After searching for a reputable repair shop, I was pleasantly delighted to meet Don and his great team. We had leased a car from a dealer (new) and after 3 years we bought it. About 6 months after that we took the car in for some upgrade and they came back telling us we needed new breaks and some other things. I took the car to Don and he evaluated everything and said none of it was needed- the car was in incredible condition. I walked out with an oil change (which was one thing I had come in for). It would have been easy for him to rip me off, had he wanted to, but he didn't ad I found him to be consistently honest and reliable. We learned that the vehicle we purchased (the type of car) has had a ton of recalls over the years. While we didn' thave problems with ours, I did talk to Don about whether or not he thought we should trade in or vehicle. With less than 15K miles and no issues, he suggesetd we keep it and I'm really glad that we did as we haven't had any major trouble with it or problems. I probably would have traded it in just from worry had I not talked to Don, and that likely would have been at a loss. Another time, my wipers damaged (years later) and it was scheduled to be a very rainy weekend. Tri-Valley Auto is open M-F and I had to drive more than 40 miles on the weekend, so I pulled into Riley Auto Parts and bought some wipers and asked them to help me install them, since I didn't know how to. I walked out of there having paid about $90- thinking it was probably a good deal. About a week later, I was driving and the wiper flew off the car (obviously, not installed correctly). I called Don, he saw me same day and gave me a new wiper for something rediculously low- I don't recall, but I want to say it was less than $15 and maybe less than $10. I'll never go anywhere else. Another think that I love about Tri-Valley Auto is that they give you an electronic email write-up, so I can clearly see the full assessment, any recommendations, critical needs and also coming future recomendations. As someone not versed in this, it's so nice to have it in writing to so I can review it and make my decisions without pressure. It also allows me to call around for other quotes (which I've done before) and have found that the prices are spot on here and often cheaper than elsewhere. It has helped reconfirm what I already supsected ealy on- that Tri-Valley Auto is really honest, quality service and they care. I love that I can book appoitnments online and that I'm texted as the work is being done and when it's ready to go. As we only have one car, it's critical to get this information in a timely manner. I have had horror stories in other cities where we've lived where the work was done at other shops in an hour but they didn't tell me to 6 hours later- making life very inconvennient when I was waiting around nearby at a coffee shop until they were ready. I never have that experience with Tri Valley Automotive. Also, the work has always been done the same day- even when I needed an oil change and new breaks. I've had other shops that are so slow and you're there forever, not with Tri-Valley Automotive. Don is scheduled to retire (much deserved) later this spring and in discussing his transition and the shop, he's assured me that the work and honesty will continue. He's hand-picked the staff who work with him and they've worked together for years. They'll be taking over the business and it's good to know that not only do I feel comfotable continuing on because of their work ethic, but also that Don highly recommends them -- couldn't recommend them more highly. I wanted to add this comment for those who are looking for reliable and timely customer service, good communication, fantastic prices, and more importantly- people who actually care about you, your vehicle, and your safety. If you're considering a shop, this is the one for you. Don't waste time or money considering anything else! You'll be glad that you came here.

You'd think a city of that size would have one shop that has a press and could do this service. Nope, zilch, nada. Useless Oakland. But after countless calls, I finally found two shops. One all the way in San Jose, and this one, Ashton Auto Service. Run by the amazing Steve. He said bring them on. I took my Toyota OEM upper and lower control arms along with a set of 8 Toyota OEM bushings (super expensive). The old weathered old bushings were taken out and the new ones installed the same day. Yup, just like that. Now I have control arms that's going to outlast my 2003 Tundra, lol. I'm so appreciative that this service was available. Steve and crew are super friendly. The shop is spanking clean. The price was discussed and agreed upon before service and solidly priced. I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Ashton Auto Service. Easily 5 out of 5 STARS!!!!!!
