Terrible customer service. Wife came here to have a tire replaced from the original set purchased at Big O Tires. The staff immediately told her they couldn't help and she had the tires longer than she actually did. They literally laughed at her and teased her for it, then she called the original Big O Tires where she bought the tires and they verified she was right. I spoke to the manager Jim, who kept changing his statements to dodge the facts & any obligation to provide customer service. Jim said he wouldn't go through it with me. When I called him out on being manipulative, he said he was done talking to me. I asked for his manager and he said there was nobody above him, but then admitted there was, so I asked to speak to the owner and he ended the call. Multiple audacious comments made by Jim that are shameful from a business/customer service perspective. Even his coworker admitted to my wife they judged her b/c she was a woman and they assumed she didn't know what she was talking about. Terrible look for Big O Tires and unfortunate. I drove off the lot because there is no where to park or stop (the parking lot is a cluster) with 12 psi in one tire and 37 in another. The overall service is good. The staff is polite. For my Tesla model 3, they shared the Actual vs Specified Range for tire alignment (See attached). I don't know. They said, our alignments are accepted by insurance companies and others. May be so. That does not disprove the discrepancy we see as stated above. I don't want to invest $190 for tire alignment that is not necessary. This note is more of an opportunity for Big O, Pleasanton to review and reconcile. Hope they will do so and provide any reasonable clarification here if necessary. Big O, please do not counter here just for the sake of it. Not if you value your family's safety. Verbal (3 times) and written agreement that when new brake rotors were installed that 10 NEW torque to yield bolts would be used to ensure that the axles would not fall out. Per Ford, these bolts may NEVER be reused due to safety issues. I discovered today that old original bolts were reinstalled, despite this company's repeated assurances. I later had rotors inspected and photographed showing old bolts were used endangering our family. "Torque-to-yield (TTY) bolts are intended for single-use. When a bolt has yielded, it has plastic deformation and should not be reused in a critical application." FORD MOTOR CO. read more

We asked Josh what our options were and he spent some time researching and came back with a couple ideas and the quotes to go with it. We picked the best one and the next day his crew took care of us. They did the spacer inserts and a new alignment in just a few hours. They do outstanding work: very efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and, added plus, timely Came into shop at 10 am with my 2017 Sienna to check on brake related noises. After free inspection, I was told what needed to be done on the vehicle. I said go ahead and do the work. They said they'd have to order the part and then work on it. At this point i was told that it would be maybe two or three hours later, after the order parts were gotten. I told him I was running on a very tight schedule. I needed to be somewhere by three. Car returned in horrible condition, employees intentionally rubbed oil into my leather steering wheel! Very immature, unprofessional, and just ridiculous. I had brought my car in to this location in February and spent around $1500 for a tune up, alignment, two new tires etc. Not sure if they even looked at my car after putting on new tires because it wasn't aligned. Fast forward to now, I ended up bringing it back last week because one of my new tires (which were $129 each and had a warranty) split in half. They told me they could patch it up for me and said they would take a look at the alignment again, which they definitely didn't do this time. Staff are lazy and don't seem to know a much about vehicle repair or customer service. When I got back to my car I was shocked that the people I trusted with my car not only blew off what I was telling them but took the time to destroy my steering wheel and surrounding areas with dirt and oil. Completely unacceptable and illegal according to BBB. Would never recommend BIG O or return to any of their locations. Do not go there! They are not reliable... after service I found my driveway full of oil ... opened the hood found oil everywhere and oil level was low. Went back they checked and told me everything is good and they topped it off and cleaned it out. But I still see oil everywhere on the engine and hood. I asked how you said you cleaned it up ? I called in on Thursday and made an appointment for 1pm Saturday for an oil change and he said it would take under an hour. On Saturday I showed up exactly at 1pm. The person at the counter said there was no appointment in the system and therefore he can't honor the appointment and the oil change would take 3 hours. I am very behind with work and a personal project and had already wasted about 5 hours of my life trying to get a simple oil change appointment (in fact I have been looking at oil change appointments for about a month now) so I couldn't afford another 3-4 hours of lost time. I double checked my phone and confirmed I did call the correct location last Thursday. My go to tire shop. I've been getting my oil changed there and general automative service.

I used to use Big O Tires back when I lived in Pleasanton (once for an oil change, once for a flat tire, once for a tire rotation), and everything was professionally done and costs were fine. But I really appreciate a recent experience, which I want to call out here. I actually don't live in Pleasanton anymore, but I happened to be driving by the area on the first leg of a road trip, when a dreaded dash light turned on, saying "TPMS". I wasn't sure what that was, but time was tight and I was worried that I was going to have to abort the trip if my car needed work. I called Big O Tires, and despite the fact they were fully booked through the day, they said I could swing on by and would take a quick look. When I showed up, they had a technician do a super quick check of the car who explained to me what the error meant as well as why I was getting it (my tire sensors were getting very old and the one on my back right tire was apparently the first of the four ready to give up the ghost). They told me what this meant (if the sensor died and then I got a flat, I wouldn't get notified), but they also assured me that with the battery remaining for the trip ahead I should be fine, which was a huge relief for me. Within an hour of first seeing the light on my dash and pulling over, I was back on the road. They didn't charge anything and yet provided excellent, friendly advice. Even though they were busy, they prioritized me so I could get in and out. I was able to make the trip with no problems and a huge load taken off my shoulders. Thank you! read more

Great customer service! I bought a car that had one patched tire and a replacement tire was included in the sale. The previous owner could not remember which rear tire had the patch. Called a few places and they would not install customer supplied tires. Big O Tires in Pleasanton said they would be happy to help. Took my 2005 Mustang in for brakes, that was in 2017. Lately my brakes have felt mushy and soft. Taking too long to completely stop. Took my car into Firestone Car Care in Milpitas. They said I had 80% pads on the front and 60% on the back. Yet my car was not stopping correctly. Find out Big O Tires of Pleasanton, put the wrong type of brakes on my car. I had to replace the pads and the rotors. Not even 8K miles on the those brakes. I'm not very happy with Big O Tires of Pleasanton CA. Their error could have cost my life. read more
