I never leave Yelp reviews but I couldn't help myself because I couldn't be happier with this place! It took one hour for an oil change and tire rotation. I made an appointment but showed up quite early, and they still took me right away. They ended up throwing in the tire rotation for free (which might be normal, I'm not sure.. but they didn't charge for labor or anything!) and they vacuumed my interior too! The team at Midas save my Family's New Year's Our battery died during a pit stop in Dublin on the way to Yosemite. After a jump start, we discovered that neither the Dublin Chevy or GMC dealer could make the time to swap the battery out of our Tahoe. The team at Dublin Midas did. While showing me I may need a new air filter the mechanic broke the clamp that holds the filter in place. I show this to the new "franchise" owner who took NO responsibility for his staff damaging my vehicle. You break it, you fix it... not at Midas... I will NEVER return to a Midas. Went here today for the first time to get my rotors resurfaced. They did a great job and service was really fast and friendly too. They told me the rotors would be done in about an hour. To my pleasant surprise they were able to do them in about 30 minutes! They even called me to tell me they were done. I will definitely be using Midas again in the future! read more

i went in to get a oil change and keep in mind that I work in a shopping plaza that has a good year and a quick drive in oil change(rose pavilion Pleasanton) and I refuse to go there do to past experiences so I gave it a chance and drove to this location in Dublin and I found it to be very quick and great customer service junior took his time with me on finding tire options even though he knew I was not going to buy them in the moment and explained all the options that I have in a short note I will be back there and drive the extra few miles. great customer service for ladies. read more

An appointment that should take 30 minutes for a simple oil change turns into a 2-hour visit. Do not expect quick service here. The place is the worst place to get your car fixed! The customer service is horrible. I spoke to Abdullah over the phone explaining the problem I was having with my car because they didn't do the job right in the first place ....instead of finding out the solution, he tells me to "be quite or I am gonna end this call". Are you seriously kidding me?? And then again when I called in to find out if there was another manager working - upon Talking to Moe & explaining the situation and how he's co-worker talked to me his excuse on behalf of Abdullah was " I am sorry - he's just hot headed" hahaha and then this guys comes up with lamest excuses for car. I had to pay the tow truck $250 to tow my car to my house for something that I paid Midas to fix - sadly, not something I was expecting from this place- BIG DISAPPOINTED! Dropped my car off as a walk in around noon for a suspension inspection because I went over a huge pot hole. Didn't get the call to pick my car up after 5pm. I rushed back and they told me the tech working on my car had gone home and as far as he can see my I needed a new control arm because mine was bent. They couldn't give me details as to what side and told me they only focused on the one with "bent control arm" when I specified I needed a complete suspension inspection. They also said they couldn't check anything else until that was repaired. I question myself whether they took the time to inspect it at all or if they just took a quick look. I took it to a certified Toyota dealer and they confirmed twice that there was no bent control arm. I would question your decision on repairs if it sounds like they're trying to get you out of money. If you know what you need then by all means have them repair it but don't let shops weave you out into other issues without being sure. I don't really think he took a good look at my car. I believe he forgot he had my car and rushed a quick look before he took off to go home. read more

Wish there was an option to give 0 stars. I have a 2012 Subaru Outback. My oil change at livermore subaru dealer costs me less 40 bucks. I had no other option so I decided to go visit this location. First of all they over charge you - sythentic oil - 70 bucks. I needed it, so I said okay. I come back and my bill is 105 dollars. They claim that they work on 2012 subaru outback all the time, however they can't tell how much oil it takes. So they could have been honest and told me they aren't sure. Besides shouldn't you be calling the customer when you realize that the service is going to be a lot more than what you had informed. They cheat customers. The manager lied right to my face and I wasn't happy about it. Wish there was a way I can my money back. Go to the dealers, they are cheaper and it's the dealers, they know a lot better. read more

I went there last week to check on a tire pressure. They took the tire out and found a big metal bolt in it. They said it needed to be patched - fair enough, I thought. But two technicians came running as if they have found a ghost. They said there is oil leak from the front axle, rear brake is to low, front tires are too bad, belt lining is cracked!!! I was amazed. I had done the 90k mile service with them only two months back. They had charged me $650 and looks like did not check anything. Anyway, I said I cannot afford to do all these replacements. I agreed to do the axle replacemement and the belt repair because they kept scaring me again and again. The bill was another $450. I was feeling very bitter spending so much money for this car. This morning as I started for work, I noticed a flat tire - the same tire that I had supposedly got relaired with Midas one week back. I called AAA and they took the tire out to show me the same metal bolt there!!! I said what? I had to take it to Midas and they again supposedly fixed that tire. Now I suspect they do not do all the services they claim to do. That is real cheating. No one should go there. read more

I wanted to give the rating in minus(-) for this Midas Dublin, but not able to. Their service is very worst, especially with the Owner . I had to fix a "broken bolt" issue on my car, I went to Midas Dublin. The Owner said he wanted to investigate on how to fix this issue. I told him this is very simple and if you open the engine top cover, I will tell you how to fix the issue. He said I will charge you $65 bucks to open the top cover(this will not even takes for a min to open that cover). Since I had to fix that issue, I said just open it and see how much time it will take and I will give you the amount based on that. But, since they wanted to charge for $65 to investigate, I was waited for more than 45 mins(which will not even take for more than 5 mins) and they asked me to pay $150 more to fix that issue. I was very frustrated and asked them for not touching my car any more and went to other shop. In the other shop, they had done the free investigation and charged only $50 to fix that issue. So, the actual cost of fixing that issue is $50 or less, but the Midas Dublin owner asked me to pay 65(investigation) + 150(fixing) = 215 to fix that issue. I would suggest don't go here, they will definitely pick all your money. read more

Unfortunately when I got to the shop, the person in the office was finishing with another customer...turned out to be someone related to people at the location. They made a point of making sure she got great service. When he finished with her, he asked me to come back another day since they close soon. Probably just bad timing on my part but I'd expect the owners to want to provide great service to all customers, even those who show up 30 minutes prior to closing. I was in need of an oil change before leaving for a trip to LA. I called and made an appt. and went in. The manager said I see you have not been in for a long time. I explained that I had a bad experience before and I had decided to give you guys another chance. I was sitting in the lobby waiting when I noticed a mechanic bending something under my car with a steel bar. I went out and he had bent my rear brake cover away from my rotor so he could measure it. I said why are you bending my rotor cover, "Thats the way you do it". I said no it is not...thats a short cut and the cover will never go back the same way again. I was getting frustrated so I just shut my mouth and went back inside. My car was done in about 40 mins. and I was told that I was being charged for an extra quart of oil etc.... I said no problem I understand. The next morning my family and I left for LA and about two hours into our trip, I noticed my vehicle was making a funny noise and the engine was making a tapping sound. I stopped at a gas station and checked my oil.... It was down over 1 full quart. I then located the noise which was my air cleaner top was not latched back down. I'm sorry to say, but for these two things to be over looked was totally poor workmanship as a professional business. I called the Speedy Oil Changers/Midas shop and spoke to one of the managers and he was like...."Really, let me look into this and call you back this is shocking to me". It has been 2 days and no call backs. I would have rather of had him just say something like ...."Kiss my ass you get what you get". I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER......go into a Speedy Oil Change/Midas shop ever again. There are way too many shops performing this kind of service with the competition being so competitive I will have no problem finding a good honest business. read more

Made an appointment for an oil change. Was told it would take 30-45 minutes as I handed over the keys. Didn't get out until after 90 minutes. Don't bother making a reservation. Was asked if I wanted the air filter changed. Took a look at it and it was barely dirty so told them no, will wait until next service. Upon checkout, the air filter charge was added anyways. Fine, they offered to take it out. Then the clerk asked the mechanic and it wasn't changed (I know, I was watching). Upselling is normal, but being charged for something I didn't get shows a lack of communication or worse, fraud. I was going to give three stars, but the younger clerk told me the reason my oil was black was from a dirty air filter. Had to struggle to keep a straight face since I was taught in auto mechanics it was carbon from blow-by during the combustion process. I am not sure if I will continue coming here as other places are as bad or worse. Buyer beware. read more

This place should be shut down - I brought my car in for a tune-up and they recommended a timing belt replacement (among other things) it made sense since the car had 90K miles and that is typical time to replace timing belt. 1300$ later I didn't think twice ... THEN ... six months later I had a problem with my struts and brought it in to fix that. What did the idiot behind the counter recommend? A TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT, when I explained I had already done that and did it at the same place ... she got really nervous. I was recently driving by after work and while I had never been here before, decided to give them a try (for an oil change). I know it was getting towards the end of the day so I wasn't sure if they were still open. I went in and the person who greeted me said "I'm sorry we're closed." Caught me a little off guard (instead of a "hello") so I asked, "what time do you close each day?"... and his reply, "about this time." Interesting. I got back to my car and looked online for the hours to their location and the closing time was 6PM. Looked at my phone and by then it was 5:34. So my 1 star rating is for arriving 30 minutes prior to closing, on what seemed to be a slow afternoon (no one waiting for their car in the lobby, only a couple cars in the bays) and being refused service for and oil change. I went down the street and was literally out/done right before 6PM. I envisioned coming to a restaurant 30 min prior, and being told they're closed (it wouldn't happen)...SMH. For a location that prides themselves on a high level of customer service, I was disappointed. Might have been an off day for them, but nevertheless will not be returning. read more

Haven't had a repair done here, but just wanted to give this shop a thumbs up for honesty. I called in needing an unusual tire size on a Sunday, and instead of pressuring me to wait for them to order it (when I'm driving around on a doughnut), he let me know that another tire shop was open even though it normally isn't on a Sunday. Way to go, Midas! I'll have to call these guys up the next time I need something done. read more
