I recently had a very unfortunate situation occur with a dealership. I called and they got my car in ASAP. They performed safety checks to ease my mind that the car was safe for my daughter to drive. I was not charged for the checks. I received via text, what I would call a Car Health Report with pictures. It is click and view, user friendly software, that is categorized, detailed, and accessible. i made an impromptu "drop-in" to AutoTECH for information regarding a Smog Check. Kacey, the owner, just happened to be crossing the parking lot, and did not mind stopping, and answering questions re: monitors on my Audi not registering data, due to lack of driving...therefore, another business had not been able to complete my Smog Check. He willingly, briefly checked my monitor, and confirmed "Yes" ...you will need to drive the vehicle regularly, with stretches on the highway. i was quite impressed with the pro-customer encounter ...and quick, detailed feedback. OMG!!! This place is awesome! I had a hole in my tire and urgently needed it repaired. I tried Big O, Americas tire, all of which had either a 2 hr wait or couldn't do a thing until the next day. I called CJ and he said to come in and they would be happy to help me saying no more than a 30 min wait. When I drove up, Max rushed up to my car , and quickly started to take off my tire! I used to trust Blackhawk Auto Tech with all my vehicles, but unfortunately, things have taken a serious turn for the worse. This shop used to be great--they paid attention to detail and genuinely cared about the customer experience. I brought all my cars here for everything. But ever since the ownership changed (if I understand correctly), the quality of service has gone completely downhill. I waited two months for a simple brake replacement estimate, followed up multiple times, and made it clear that it was urgent--and still never received anything. On top of that, a separate brake job they did complete started squeaking immediately. When I reached out about it, they told me to drop the car off for the whole day--with no ability to schedule even a basic 2- to 4-hour window to diagnose their own work. No flexibility, no accountability, and no effort to work with me on managing my schedule or the needs of my vehicle. Disappointed doesn't begin to describe it. I've already moved on to another shop in San Ramon that actually values its customers and stands behind their work. Blackhawk Auto Tech lost a loyal customer--permanently. read more

This business was recommended by American Tires at San Ramon for annual alignment like it recommended for tesla cars. I am working on this car and can't drop it off for all day long. Only come and wait. So 30 of August I called to setup an appointment when I bring my car at 8 am and get it back at 10 am. By phone they told it's possible and offered to schedule appointment at 15 of September 8 am to be the first in the line. I offered to pay extra for that but they declined. When I came at 7:59 am they already bring other car for alignment and told that my car would be serviced between 10-12 pm. So, I explained everything again and they rescheduled appointment for 8 of October to make alignment at 8 am. 7/10 I called to them to remind that I need service my car first because I have to go at work asap after alignment. Their manager in rude manner asked that she can't informing their team and cannot keep their word anymore for me. Then she just hung up. So I just wasted 1 month instead going to other normal workshop. I am not recommend this business for sure and can't understand why this business have high rate in yelp. I will come back to the American tires and ask to do not recommend this business anymore. All of the technicians I worked with here, and especially the front desk of Max and Geraldine, are absolutely the best. The technicians are super knowledgeable and don't give up until the problem is truly solved. Their customer service is outstanding! They don't just rush and give you back your car without truly diagnosing the root cause and putting a solid fix. They are honest and very detailed. I particularly want to call out that when I brought my car in, I mentioned that there was almost no gas, and I asked if that could be related to the issues I had with the car. When I picked up my car after the test run by the technicians, I noticed that my tank was almost half full! They didn't even mention this to me. That they added the gas proactively. I really thank them for the super attention to detail and wonderful service - we will definitely be coming here regularly for our car maintenance and super, highly recommend them. read more

Because I like to give positive reviews, I had first left a positive one for this business - until I found out from the certified mechanic at the official AUDI dealership that the work (the extremely angry) mechanic at Autotech Blackhawk performed on my car caused $7,000 dollar's worth of damage to my engine. I wish I had driven away immediately when I discovered the mechanic was in such a bad mood, and his helper was a novice was being trained. Not the type of people to trust your car with. I would have much preferred to give this feedback to Autotech personally and not on a public forum. But when I called to speak with them last week, the woman who answered the phone was very rude to me when I asked to speak with the owner/manager. And they still have not returned my call. BAD follow-up customer service. VERY BAD mechanical work. I STRONGLY REGRET HAVING THEM WORK ON MY CAR. If you are an Audi owner STEER CLEAR or they might damage your car too. Update to the review: I received a call from the owner/manager Kasey this morning and he immediately started yelling at me about the fact I left a Yelp review, completely ignoring the fact I had left a message at his business days earlier before turning to Yelp. Stated opening hour for Monday is 8 AM. On Monday, 10/7 I arrived at 8 AM. They were not open. I waited thinking that perhaps the delay was commute related. Finally at 8:30 AM someone did show up. He told me that they were closed for the day as his boss gave them a mental health day off. This was not reflective on their door, no signage whatsoever. I give the boss credit for giving his employees a mental health day off, but now this has negatively impacted my mental health. No apology was given that I waited for 30 minutes. I had a great experience brining my car here for the first time. My driver car seat adjuster came completely undone. They were able to fix my seat in a reasonable time and price. They sent pictures after the diagnosis to let me know exactly what was wrong. There was a slight hiccup and they immediately fixed it and were able to accommodate the problem. They also have a large variety of make and model cars so that made me even more comfortable and confident in this company. The entire staff is very nice and professional. My car told me that one of my tires needed air. I called autotech since I live around the corner. I explained that I am unfortunately unable to put air in my tires given a disability. Shelby told me to come in and see what we could do. I did that right away and Jesus checked the tire pressure and found that my passenger rear side tire needed air. He proceeded to put air and then discovered that my tire needed a repair. He let me know, and I agreed to the repair. They did it on the spot, charged me a reasonable rate, and sent me on my way.
