The owner is typically onsite, and is very knowledgeable about BMWs. I had a tricky problem with the EPS (Electronic Power Steering) on my Z4. I inquired with many shops. Many were uncomfortable taking on the job. Others were happy to do it but only with brand new and very expensive BMW partners. Sent a vehicle here for a PPI before purchasing and ended up not buying the car because of their thorough inspection. They even offered to stop the inspection and not charge me as soon as they noticed several big ticket items wrong with the car. The level of honesty and desire to be helpful these guys have is hard to find in this industry. I picked up a different car and will certainly be back for service in the future. 9/10/2025 update - I've been back several times for a big subframe job, suspension work on my wife's Mercedes and other maintenance and have been very pleased. The fees aren't cheap but also not expensive like some other shops that nickel and dime you and I've been very happy with the transparency and quality of work. I won't service my bmw anywhere else anymore after having trouble with other shops either running a shady operation, losing their license, unprofessional ownership, or "fees" for everything - none of those issues with Edge and Ryan. I do agree with some reviews that they're difficult to get a hold of sometimes and would greatly benefit from a scheduling assistant or even a centralized appointment request system so you know your request is in a queue. read more

I took my car to Edge to have the brakes pad changed to ceramic, to reduce the extreme amount of brake dust from the factory pads. The first set of pads received from the supplier were semi metallic not ceramic. Dan caught the error immediately before they were installed. I left the car at the shop so Dan could contact his supplier and reorder the pads. I received a call later that day informing me that he received the ceramic pads. No problems with the front. They were installed without any issues. However the rear pads were ceramic but not the right size and that he would have to do some research to find out what's going on. Mind you the car is a 2024 so there may be some parts discrepancies. I returned back to the shop to pickup the car but they were having trouble clearing the service mode messages from the screen. Dan assured me that it was just a communication error and I could drive the car while they sourced the correct scan tool and figure out what's going on with the part number for the rear pads. It was the end of the day so I decided I would leave the car. Dan arranged for me to have a rental and assured me they would sort out the rear brake pads and service mode issue the next day. The next day I received a call from Dan. He sourced the correct scan tool, cleared the service mode messages and worked with his vendor to find the correct rear brakes. The car was good to go. Problems happen in life but it's how you respond to them that makes the difference. I was treated like a VIP. They drove me to the rental car office and secured a vehicle for me and I never had to call and obtain a status. Dan kept me in the loop 100% along the way. With this particular 2024 model the manufacturer and vendors still haven't fully synched up but Dan figured it all out. Great service, communication, polite and professional.
