I have been to this shop several times with multiple vehicles and they have always provided excellent service. Most recently my wife's Subaru has been overheating due to multiple issues and I needed a quick fix since everyone has been booked this summer. They very clearly outlined a plan moving forward and then called me and worked with me over the phone to find a reasonable quote for needed repairs. They were able to move it into the shop quickly and get the repairs done over a full day of work. I have had some major issues and some minor issues and each time they give me a free estimate and are very honest about the time table needed to fix it. I love this place. It's hard to really say that you love an auto repair chain but these guys are great. Tony is extremely helpful and a genuinely good person. I've been to quite a few different places around town for oil changes and brakes and everywhere I go there seems to be something new wrong with my car. Once place in Glendale told me that I had a horrible transmission fluid leak that needed to be fixed immediately and it would cost me over $2k to fix. I filled my transmission fluid and kept an eye on it it. What do you know, no leak. I've been to this Midas location multiple times and never have they tried to sell me on something I don't need. Best Midas ever took care of me compared to the Midas on 120th and Colorado Blvd. they made up for the horrible treatment

Almost died because of lack of service at this location. Spoke with Jay, service manager, about a catalyst engine error light and getting a steering pivot arm replaced. He took my number and said he would call me when they had an opening. Checked back with him on and off for five weeks and this shop was always too busy to fix my exhaust leak and steering arm. Then one day, last week, I swerved to avoid a rear end collison (multi-car pile-up) and guess what - NO STEERING since the steering arms were not functioning properly, which I didn't know they were that bad. Three broken ribs, a bruised kidney, bruised liver, severely damaged right lung which I need a respirator for. Now what if someone treated Jay's mother that way; how would he feel! DON'T GO HERE; THEY OBVIOUSLY DON'T HAVE TIME TO TAKE CARE OF CUSTOMERS. read more

I think it's awful that they can mislead the readers into thinking they are willing to resolve this issue. Below is the reply I sent them in response to their comment; my reply could not be seen publicly, as theirs was, so here it is: I've communicated with the store manager multiple times. After assuring me that the store would "take care of it" while broken down in extreme heat in middle-of-nowhere-Washington-state, he quickly hid behind the "corporate attorney". Though I intend to pursue this matter legally, I, unfortunately, don't have the financial means to take on a large corporation like Midas for their negligence at the moment; due, in large part, to the fact that this incident cost me over $1500.00. My truck broke down late Saturday afternoon. All the transmission fluid leaked out of my truck's transmission because the clamp to the transmission line to the cooler came off. I couldn't get my truck towed to Midas before they closed so I had to leave it parked in their parking lot until Monday. I called them at 8:30am Monday morning to see if they had looked at my truck. The Service Manager, Jay answered the telephone and told me that my truck was fixed and they had replaced the clap on the transmission line because it had snapped off. I was impressed and I was glad that the transmission wasn't damaged. I thanked Jay and went to pick up my truck. The bill was outrageously high! They charged me almost $300. They said that flushed the transmission, replaced the filter and pan gasket, and of coursed added transmission fluid. Jay told me that they did not charge me for the clamp, but after going over the bill, I saw that they did. They also told me that they flushed the transmission. But it did not need to be flushed since all the transmission fluid had already been drained and it was done last month. I asked him if they replaced the filter in the transmission and he had to think about it before telling me that they did replace the filter. I had a felling that they only replaced the clamp and added transmission fluid. I don't believe that it would only take half an hour to replace the filter, replace the gasket, add transmission fluid and replace the clamp on the transmission fluid line. I hate to rate a business based on a bad feeling, but I have seen this type of things before. I will give them two stars for repairing my truck quickly. read more

Here's the deal. My husband and I took our car to Midas in February (I shit you not, this has been an ongoing issue for literally FOUR AND A HALF MONTHS). We asked for an oil change and to have our brakes looked at before going on a trip for my father in law's memorial service, being responsible adults and doing preventative maintenance. They do the oil change and the b.s. "road trip check," and proceed to remove the wheels and brakes. Three hours later, they come out and say that they don't have the parts to fix the brakes. They were working fine before we came in. They say we can bring the car back the next day and it will be fixed. We leave, and discover a quarter mile out that WE HAVE NO BRAKES. We had to take our car to a Pep Boys down the road and have them fix the brakes, to the tune of nearly $700. Midas damaged our car further, never mind the fact that we went sailing through an intersection at 45 miles per hour with our three kids in the car. I filed a complaint with customer relations that night, and have been getting the runaround ever since. At Pep Boys, it was discovered that not only were our brakes completely mangled by the incompetent Midas staff (seriously, if they were surgeons, they would start a transplant operation and discover fifteen minutes in they were missing an organ and then stitch the patient up and let them leave), but we also suddenly had a missing brake booster, the oil tank had sludge in it from not being drained properly, the oil dipstick guide was now broken and chipping off into the oil tank, and we had a leak in our brake line. These fun new repairs caused us to need a new clutch, new brakes and rotors. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO MIDAS. Go to Pep Boys on 44th and Wadsworth. The customer service is impeccable compared to these clowns, and they actually know shit about cars. read more

I had been going to Midas for awhile for oil changes and other small stuff so when I got a flat tire I didn't think twice about taking it there. When they called me to let me know about the tire they said I had a coolant leak and it was going to be about $300 to fix. I told them not to fix it because I had not noticed anything leaking....sure enough the next day I had a HUGE puddle of coolant under my car. So I had no choice but to go to my local auto repair place (which was MUCH cheaper) I will NOT be going back to Midas, EVER! read more

The shock was cost of $500+, which they gave me a discount costing me $426 for both oil change and new serpentine belt. Service wait time was long... 8 am - 11:45 am. I went in for an oil change, and as usual they did a quick overview of my vehicle. I have been having a lot of issues with my jeep and the check engine light has been on, and while I prefer to do the work on my vehicle myself, I haven't been able to pinpoint what is causing the light to stay on/come back. After my oil change I explained the work I had done previously when they asked about the light, and they were able to help me zone in on the issue. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and overall their prices seemed fair. I will definitely be returning to this location. read more

I went in for an oil change. Had a coupon for a full synthetic change at $50, plus tax. They charge me $80. Not a big financial loss, I know. They said I needed an extra quart, fine. $6.29. So with tax that should have been about $60. OK, I was only charged about $20 over what I should have been. I did return the next day to complain. They said it was some special oil that cost more... I asked "How should I know that?", and I should have been informed ahead of time, if that was the case. I was simply going by the price on their board. he ended up giving me a coupon for a free oil change, which is good customer service. I brought my car in for an oil change and was told my car needed $776 worth of work. I opted to only do the oil change and the next day I brought my car to a dealership to get a second opinion. The dealership told me Midas had overfilled my oil by more than a quart and I had to get a new oil change. They also told me my car was fine and no other work (besides two tail lights out) was needed. I had presented Midas with a coupon and they told me they would accept it and when I paid they did not apply the coupon. read more

After spending thousands and yes thousands of dollars at this location I will not be returning. I had an engine light come on and called in for the manager Ben. He wasn't there but I was assured they could help. I was told it was 115$ to plug my truck into a computer to see what was wrong. I was assured that I would be paying this fee regardless of who I spoke to. I then looked online and found Goodyear offered a free engine light check diagnostic. So on the way to Goodyear I get into a fender bender. Now I have a possible lawsuit and insurance claim for I settled the matter out of pocket. So, let me start by saying I don't normally review anything negatively as I am reasonable and not "ridiculous"ly critical. I came here because of a great deal on an oil change plus tire rotation ($24.99). In and out no problem. The next day I had a hub cap missing. Called and let them know, they replaced it...no problem. About two weeks later, another one was falling off...couldn't get it to go back on. It practically fell off. I examined it and found that a bunch of the tension clips had been snapped off. I worked on cars for years and know exactly how this happens. I brought them the hub cap to show them and was a bit surprised that the two previously polite manager and, I believe, assistant manager had a list of excuses including it was like that, and it's a wearable part, and on and on. Then I was told they were just being nice replacing the other cap. Let's be clear, hub caps are basically a wearable part and, if you have never had this happen, if a shop breaks something while fixing something else, your often have to pay for that repair as well. That is just how it is. My problem is with the lack of honesty about what happened. The manager said the tech who worked on it noted on the invoice that the caps were fitting loosely (they weren't when I brought it in, they sure were when it came out). If they were broken during the rotation because they were old and brittle, why not just say so instead of sticking them on and not saying anything? So then the manager tells me I'm being ridiculous about the whole thing...I hadn't made any demands, I simply had asked him to acknowledge that his guy broke it and asked why they didn't mention it. More excuses and circular logic and somehow it was my fault. Having to have the last word as I walked out, the manager said to my back "see you later". It turned and said, "That's the thing, you won't". Still having to have the last word, he replied "Good, 'cause I don't wanna". So here is how I see it. If you'd try to cover up or be dishonest about something cheap like a hub cap, imagine if they break something expensive...get out your checkbook. And, why be disrespectful? If honesty and respect are something you value in the people you do business with, I would look elsewhere. For those who have reviewed them positively, I would have too...until this. It is easy to appear good when things go right...these guys failed when things did not. read more

I've been going to this Midas for years and have spent lots of dough there. I've continually given them the benefit of the doubt but after yesterdays visit I think I've had it. They've been telling me for months that I need new front and back struts because they were leaking. I took it to a Subaru specialist a few months ago and had the front ones done for a fraction of the price. Yesterday I was told I needed both front and rear struts as well as a timing belt. When I questioned the guy at the counter I was told it was just based on mileage, nothing they actually saw. My timing belt has a clearly visible sticker on it saying when it was changed and I am nowhere near needing another one. It really seemed to me like they were fishing for work to be done on my car regardless of if it was needed or not. I felt like they were looking for a stupid woman to take advantage of. In the past I had something done on my oil line and then my car overheated on my way home. Luckily it happened in walking distance from my house. There was an air bubble in the line after the work they did. I had radiator fluid everywhere and luckily I didn't blow my engine. You Tube told me what was going on and I was able to fix it myself. I was out the $ for the antifreeze I had to use and all they offered me was that they'd clean the mess under my hood for me. read more

I have literally never written a negative review of a company in my life but this is how bad you people tried to fuck me. I took my car in to get an oil change and brake inspection (told them specifically to look at the front brakes as they were squeaking), on 6/30, to the one in Wheat Ridge, CO. The guy was very shady in general and called saying "Hey, you need new brake pads and rotors, blah, blah, blah." We negotiate a price of just under $600 and I say to move forward but had the good sense to say "Once this is done my brake issue will be resolved, correct?" This piece of shit stammers out, "No, we haven't even looked at the front brakes yet. I was planning on talking to you about them when you come in." You were going to do work and charge me $600 and then surprise me by not actually fixing what I asked you to look at. Needless to say I got my car back from you. Yesterday I took it to the mom and pop shop by my house and this guy says he can just replace pads, etc for about $120. I didn't know who to trust now though so I took it to a third shop this morning to get another opinion and they said the same thing. I am getting my brakes completely fixed for $120. This is on the level of a con artist. What if I was some old lady on social security who didn't know any better? You would just take my money. Fuck you and fuck your dishonest bullshit company.
