Stumbled upon Mida while exploring east Boston. Had no idea East Boston, Jefferey's Point was so cool...great places to explore waterfront parks, history, art - lots of murals and sculptures in the area. We sat at the bar, had excellent service, very knowledgeable bar tender. Food was excellent... best Caesar salad I've ever had...I added fresh anchovies for an extra charge and it was amazing! The sauce on the meatballs and spaghetti was outstanding. Just one tiny complaint...we never got any bread...which was fine in the end because we were so full, bread was not needed.

Came to MIDA just to grab a drink by the water; and ended up staying to get dinner because the ambiance and menu looked so good! The focaccia bread is absolutely a must order here - it's probably some of the best bread I've ever had. The meatballs were also excellent, and both of our pasta dishes were excellent. The bartenders were very attentive. The bar area is spacious, and has nice views of the water and Boston skyline. I'd definitely come back to this location or one of the other MIDA locations around the city!

Had a solid late dinner at Mida around 9pm, no wait & nice Boston view with a relaxed vibe in front of the pier. Caesar salad ($14) - 6/10 Creamy and made with Grana Padano cheese, pretty standard but decent portion Sausage pizza ($19) - 7/10 Good flavor and a crisp thin crust Rock Shrimp Carbonara ($28) - 8.5/10 The standout, rich, textured with breadcrumbs, shrimp was flavorful, and also made with Grana Padano cheese They tack on a 2% kitchen appreciation fee, just FYI. Staff was friendly. Would return for the pasta and ambiance.

Recently dined at MIDA east boston for my birthday- and it was wonderful ! I received complementary arancini AND a dessert - was truly blown away by the hospitality. I have to give a special shout out to the Caesar salad, which is one of my favorites in the city. The bucatini all amatriciani is simple, but terrific. The standout fish of the nice was the citrus almond cake... still dreaming of it...

We recently dined at Mida in Eastie for brunch. For 12:45 on a Sunday it wasn't packed, but there were tables filled. It was absolutely gorgeous out and we got a table next in the sun with a lovely view. For drinks we got the persephone spritz and irish coffee. The persephone spirit was sweet and refreshing; however, too much ice in the glass. The irish coffee was perfect, the foam was tasty! We were served bread with a garlic dipping oil, the dipping oil was delicious but the bread would have been better warm. We started with the arancini and pizza bianca, both delicious! The arancini here I think is some of the best arancini I've had around. The gnocchi cacio e pepe hit the spot. My significant other enjoyed the Mida Slam, but he wasn't a fan of the potatoes. Our waiter was great, he was friendly and attentive. Will definitely continue to come back!

My breakfast pizza was great! However my friend's bolognese was very oily. We had made a reservation and were not informed the restaurant was booked for a party and we had to sit outside.

    Delicious food.

The restaurant had a stylish, youthful vibe with lots of young patrons, which made the atmosphere lively. The service was attentive throughout, and the food was both delicious. Altogether, it was a very enjoyable experience.

Amazing dining experience. 100% would recommend. We ordered the arancini ($10) and focaccia ($8) as appetizers. The arancini were cheesy and crispy. The focaccia wasn't the traditional style I was expecting but maybe I'm uncultured. It was still very good. For entrees we ordered the short rib lasagna ($34) which was the best dish by far. The gnocchi ($25) was also delicious however it was a bit too oily for my taste. Service was top tier. Always making sure our waters were refilled and bringing us extra complimentary bread. Overall 9.03 / 10

Tucked away at the end of the pier on Clippership Wharf, MIDA East Boston offers a serene dining experience with panoramic views of the downtown Boston skyline. On a quiet spring evening, we found ourselves at a table outside MIDA, tucked into the curve of Jeffries Point with the Boston skyline keeping watch. The air was still, the view was clean, and the hum of the city felt far away -- a well-earned pause. Service started strong, the kind where water glasses stay full and questions get answered before you ask them. But once the plates hit and the food was gone, so was the urgency. It took a bit to flag someone down for a box and the check, but nothing unforgivable. The food, though -- that's why you go. A New Haven-style clam pie with a crust you could hear crack as you tore it apart. Clams, bacon, and peppers all dialed in, balanced without being precious. The short rib lasagna was rich, smoky, and unapologetic -- the kind of plate that leans into winter even if the air says spring. And just when you think it's too much, the mushroom pappardelle slides in like a soft-spoken friend -- delicate, buttery, with garlic whispering in the background. Even the roasted carrots hit right. Roasted to the edge of caramelization, resting on a swipe of tangy sumac yogurt that should be jarred and sold by the pint. Portions? Exactly what they should be. Full, but not fighting-your-pants full. If you like your nights quiet and your food thoughtful, and if you're into the slow-burn charm of East Boston's waterfront -- MIDA's worth it.

Came here with reservations for 4 on a Sunday evening and we were seated pretty quickly. The view from this restaurant is truly stunning - made the ambiance all the more pleasant with the modern and finished interior as well. Service was pretty fast - arguably too speedy, surprisingly. Food came out very quickly which made the meal feel a bit rushed honestly, but better than too slow. Water refills were on the slower side though. The food was pretty delicious - price a bit high, but for the vibes of the restaurant, it matched the expectation there. I enjoyed the clam pizza the most - we all shared a bit of each dish and we weren't disappointed. The only thing I wish for was bigger serving sizes - definitely left feeling still a bit hungry. Overall, the food was really nice and the ambiance was super pleasant. I'd be happy to come back in the future to try some of their other food and enjoy the views again - thanks, Mida!

Very pretty location on the waterfront in east Boston. Service was very indifferent and extremely slow. We were not seated until 20 minutes after our reservation. The entrees took over 40 minutes to arrive. Prior to them arriving another dish of pasta was delivered to our table then removed after we ate some of it saying it was for another table. They did offer us dessert for the issues which was nice. Overall it was fine but the timing and service would have me skip this location in the future.

I had a great anniversary dinner with my girlfriend a few months ago here at MIDA in their East Boston location. Incredible food and service with a beautiful view of Boston's skyline. My girlfriend and I started off the burrata, some of the best I've had in the city. It was salty and sweet, and came with very warm bread which was perfect for dipping. The waitress brought us more complimentary bread to dip in the burrata after we finished our first batch. For our main course we ordered two pasta entrees so we could split them-- highly recommend doing it this way. We split the Bolognese and the Carbonara, both absolutely amazing. To end the night off we were brought some complimentary dessert for our special night-- a slice of berry cake and some ice cream with a candle. Delicious! Highly recommend for a fancy anniversary night with your boo!

Cool, but not phony bar area.

Going back for a second helping of the wonderful food and ambiance at Mida, East Boston. Service, as the fist time, was smooth, accommodating and melted away at just the right time. The Campanelle Al Pesto was a great starter for the Bay of Fundy Salmon. Finished beautifully and paired with any of the reds on the list made for another wonderful meal there.

Ristorante Limoncello is an Italian restaurant that opened in Boston, Massachusetts in April 2000…read more It was founded by restaurateur and Italian immigrant Maurizio Badolato. Born and raised in Calabria, Italy, Badolato worked as waiter as a young boy before immigrating to Boston in the 1970s. At the age of just 15, he was working as a busboy at a Boston restaurant and slowly worked his way up the restaurant totem pole. One night after getting off work, Badolato bought a wad of $5 scratch lottery tickets and won one million dollars. He decided to use the winnings to fulfill a lifelong dream and open his own restaurant in the North End (aka Boston's "Little Italy"). He hired practically his entire family to come over from Italy and work at his restaurant, which is located along the Freedom Trail right next to the historic Paul Revere House. Many of the recipes belonged to Badolato's mother Concetta, including her famous meatballs. She was a constant fixture at the restaurant until she passed away in 2015. The head chef at Limoncello since day one has been Chef Andrea Moggi. A second location opened nearby at 76 Salem Street in 2017, but it closed a year later. My family and I recently visited Ristorante Limoncello for dinner while we were spending the day in Boston. After a long day of walking and sight-seeing, we found ourselves in the North End for dinner time. We walked by the restaurant and loved the name and the menu. We were seated on the outdoor patio area for a delicious al fresco dining experience. My wife and I both shared the "Scallops Limoncello" (fresh sea scallops sautéed in 'homemade' Limoncello, served on a bed of baby arugula) and the "Tagliolini al Limoncello" (fresh homemade pasta with jumbo shrimp cooked in a tomato cream sauce). Although the restaurant doesn't have a Kids Menu, our friendly server told us that she could easily bring us a family-style plate of "Penne with Meatballs" (red sauce) for our two sons to share. Everything was excellent, right down to the complimentary bread bowl and olives! For dessert, I had the "Lemon Sorbetto" (served in a frozen lemon shell) paired with a glass of their delicious housemade "Limoncello". It was the perfect way to end a fantastic meal! We hope to be back!

I didn't mind that much since it was actually pretty tight and cozy so it actually brought up the energy I think. We already had reservations, so we received a fairly quickly, and the white stuff were very professional and courteous. The food did not disappoint. The calamari came out fresh and hot. Crispy and the banana peppers gave it just the right heat. The marinara sauce paired well with it. The Lobster Fra Diavolo was done in a cute heart shaped, so that was delightful. Lobster was done perfectly and the slightly spicy sauce of the pasta paired beautifully. My favorite was actually the marsala. The Fusilli was done perfectly al dente and soaked in that delicious sauce that was flavorful and clung so well to the pasta. The chicken breast was well marinated and super tender and juicy. Honestly, I wouldn't hesitate to order this again next time.

Cafe Amaro....No Bene!…read more North End is one of my favorite Boston neighborhoods for Italian food especially Pizza. But this time, not so much! We walked in here on a Sunday afternoon and stopped at Cafe Amaro since they had open tables. The restaurant is very small probably about 10 or so tables. We sat right up against the kitchen which was warm since it was a bit chilly outside. After about 5-8 minutes went by our server came over and we asked to sample 2 glasses of wine. They were not good at all. After tasting one more we finally landed on the Chianti. We then waited longer to place our order which was the Prosciutto and Fig pizza. I also ordered a soda water with lemon which never came. Note: there are 2 servers and I believe 1 speaks English but I am not 100% sure. Once our server finally came over my husband had to remind him of the soda water which he proceeded to say "we only have large bottles." Ok, thanks for letting me know since the other server/busser did not. Does he work here? Does he know the menu? Why wouldn't he tell me this the first place? Our pizza finally came and even after ordering it well done it was still floppy and flimsy to the point when everytime we went to pick up the slice everything fell off...UGH! I don't know how in the North End this place gets by or survives? Maybe they were having an off day? I do see other reviews that had better experiences than ours. Maybe they were short on staff? If that was the case then say something because I probably would've had more patience and understanding if this was the case. BTW, Our server NEVER came over after ordering our wines and pizza. He never asked "how is everything?" NEVER... I also rarely give one/two stars to restaurants but this was despicable and I really hope this is not their norm. All I have to say is there are so many other better restaurants in the North End to go to, but Cafe Amaro is not one of them.

They get SUPER packed on weekends especially & I definitely recommend making reservations instead of relying on walk-in. We made a reservation on a Saturday at 9pm & we still had to wait ~30 min for our table to be ready, because of how busy they were. Now, they do move pretty quick though! Once we were seated & gave our server our order, our food came in a timely manner. We ordered: -calamari -trombetta al pesto -chicken parm -carbonara w/ chicken cutlet The calamari was quite yummy. It tasted fresh and the batter was light but still crispy. We even debated on getting another order of the calamari! Trombetta al pesto is what I personally had. Good portion size & loved the pesto sauce. I did wish it came with a protein but that's okay. The pesto is on the herb-ier side as opposed to garlicky, so keep that in mind if you're not too big on herb heavy taste. I personally loved it though. The pasta was also cooked al dente, PERFECTO! The chicken parm was demolished within minutes of arriving to our table, so that should tell you how good it was haha. Now, for the carbonara with chicken cutlet, the pasta was cooked perfectly. Nice and al dente but we wished that we had gotten grilled chicken breast instead of the breaded chicken cutlet, as it probably would've paired better with the dish. Overall, I think Trattoria Il Panino is a solid spot to go for a sit-down lunch or dinner! I liked that even though we did have to wait a bit for our table with reservations, we didn't have to really wait for our food after ordering. BDay boy inhaled it anyways. - chicken cutlet carbonara spaghetti i probably would have opted for the grilled chicken over a cutlet next time. For me it was a bit dry with the cutlet and needed MORE sauce for the dish overall. It was tossed in some, but the flavor didn't come thru as bold as i had hoped. perhaps some bacon bits in it would have hit another flavor trigger on my taste buds personally haha. Overall though it was still a good pasta. All the pastas were al dente. Came out hot and quick. We really liked the calamari, fresh, not chewy, not overly battered. Would def get two of these next time! The staff was super nice, got a tiramisu desert for the birthday boy! Nice light and a sugar kick.
