This is truly an amazing restaurant! It is our second time at the restaurant visiting Boston from New York! First the staff was awesome and attentive. I can say the food was the best Italian I have ever had. I ordered the mushroom ravioli and my husband ordered the veal almalfi! This will be our go to restaurant when we are visiting Boston. read more

I just had the best chicken parmigiana I've ever had in my life. I've been living for 23 days in the Boston area and have had a lot of Italian food. We were a little nervous as they weren't busy like some other restaurants in the North End, but my family and I were pleasantly surprised with how just solid food the food was! They make their pasta fresh in-house and it's just amazing. Their chicken parmigiana was not dry or overcooked. Their spaghetti and meatballs was classic but not basic tasting. We had 4 of us eating dinner and it was all so good! Their menu isn't very big but they rocked everything we ordered. PLUS - they are one of few places in the North End that are actually pretty handicap accessible. There's a ramp to go in the front door (most have a ledge or stairs) and the restroom is on the same level, not downstairs like other places. My child is in a wheelchair so we take note and appreciate the efforts. read more

This is a cute place in little Italy in Boston and a great spot if you are looking for a small, cozy dinner. This place had some of the best Italian food I have had. I had the mushroom ravioli and it was delicious. So fresh, so flavorful and the pasta was delicious. The staff was attentive and helpful. We ate here on a Friday night and had a reservation which I highly recommend as it was packed. We had to squeeze by folks to get to our table and the back of my chair was hitting the person behind me. It made for a high energy environment with a lot of hustle and bustle, but if you are looking for a quiet, intimate dinner than this may not be the place. Overall though the food was really good and I still think this is a solid option in Boston. read more

SO GOOD! I just had lunch with my parents here the other day and it was just as good as we remembered. My mom and I knew to order the chicken parm because it was amazing based off memory. Sure enough, it was amazing this time too. The portion size is just right, and their homemade pasta + homemade Mariana sauce is chef's kiss. My dad got a shrimp diavolo pasta dish and he loved it. He gave me a bite and the shrimp was so fresh and so flavorful. There's a nice kick to the diavolo sauce! The service here is incredibly kind and friendly. Would recommend Casarecce to anyone looking for a good bite in the North End! read more

My favorite little hidden gem in the north end! There are probably 10-15 tables in the whole restaurant which is a nice, intimate, vibe. The staff are always incredibly kind and accommodating and all of the pasta is homemade every day. The meatballs were incredible and my family and I have loved every single dish we have had here, they always look forward to dining here whenever they visit Boston! read more

One of many, many restaurants on the North End of Boston and it didn't disappoint. I had the veal parmigiana with homemade casarecce which was delicious. My wife had the lasagna bolognese which was also delicious. Cute, cozy spot with minimal noise and attentive staff. The only negative was there are no salads offered or any specials of the day. Still a great dinner. read more

Like many restaurants in the north end, this is a tiny trattoria with limited tables. I ordered the lasagna and while it was lacking salt, the flavor profile was outstanding. Service was good, if a little slow. read more

I dream of this food! Our second time here, but it is our anniversary and this was our spot this year. After 23 years together Casarecce felt like home and had amazing food. Very cute place in the North End with delicious and fresh pasta! The service is FAST and efficient! They are not messing around and making sure everyone in your party is taken care of. If you like carbonara, or maybe had it once and didn't like it--trust me, you gotta have the carbonara here, it is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! As someone who usually doesn't like carbonara, this pasta made me a fan! And my partner who loves carbonara, fell in love with it too! So all in all, GET THE CARBONARA PASTA!!! And don't skip out on the bread & butter! It's salty and the bread is so soft, sooo good! read more

Wow! Another gem in the North End. I opted for the Veal Amalfi and it was to die for!!! Tender veal rolled with spinach and mushrooms in an incredibly flavorful brown sauce. Let's not forget their homemade pasta. I will drive an hour and a half just for this meal. Place is small so get there early to secure a table! read more

Enjoyed the food... service, not so much. We had a 4:30 reservation on a Saturday and arrived a few minutes early. Within five minutes of sitting down, our server was already pushing us to order food and drinks. When we asked to start with just an appetizer, he shook his head no and said we needed to place our entire order at once. After trying to slow things down a bit, we gave in and ordered everything. Within about 30 minutes of arriving, both our appetizers and entrées were brought out. The food itself was delicious. I had the chicken vodka sauce pasta, which was excellent, and my fiancé and the couple we were with all enjoyed their meals. But the pacing made it hard to enjoy the experience. We felt rushed the entire time. After we finished eating, we waited patiently to get our server's attention to order another round of drinks. Instead, he walked over and dropped the check on the table without asking how the food was or whether we wanted anything else. At this point, we hadn't even been there an hour. Unfortunately, the rushed service overshadowed the quality of the food for us. The dining space is already tight, a little too intimate for my taste, and nothing about the service made us want to return. read more

a spot worth your time in the north end! Casarecce is a small spot but still has an upscale and cozy feel. I had the chicken vodka casarecce and it was delicious! The pasta was al dente and perfectly carried the creamy savory vodka sauce. The chicken was seasoned well also. Service was friendly and fast for an italian resteraunt! read more

On our North End quest, this was stop #4 but moved to #1 on our rankings. Very tiny place with squished seating but we didn't mind our two person table at the wall. Our server was quick and very sweet. We ordered eggplant modugnese and burrata for apps, lobster ravioli and lamb ragu for dinner, all 10/10. Appetizers were great portions but still very light. Lamb ragu had their name brand pasta shape and a generous portion of meat. I am a lobster ravioli connoisseur and I absolutely loved this. It might even be a little higher than the place I love back home. Their sauce was incredible. I wish it had a bigger portion I wanted more when I was done. I would definitely recommend this place! We will be back for more lobster ravioli. read more

Hubby & I were on a mission to find good Italian food, but we had just gotten into Boston & wasn't really dressed up. We came across Casarecce & it looked casual, but also a bit elegant. We still felt comfortable & we were welcomed with open arms. Germano was our waiter & he made wonderful recommendations. We started with the Caesar salad. Yes, a bit cliche, but literally the best Caesar salad I've eaten. It was dressed perfectly & had the right amount of seasonings. We ordered the lasagna & shared it. There was plenty of food without feeling overly stuffed. The bolognese was very well done with all the right flavors. Don't pass this place up. It's a gem, but it is small so maybe reserve in advance to get a seat. read more

Such a great find in Little Italy. I came in solo for dinner and was seated right away, which I appreciated. The space is small and cozy, but it adds to the charm. I ordered the arugula and beet salad along with the chicken parm spring rolls, and those spring rolls alone are worth the visit. Crispy, flavorful, and paired with marinara for dipping, they were something different from the usual menu options in the area and really stood out. The service was straightforward and the food delivered. If you are looking for something a little outside the box in a neighborhood full of similar menus, this place definitely hits the mark. read more

Restaurant was small but very efficient, everything arrived perfectly timed. We arrived a few mins early for our reservation and every table was full. The food is excellent. Absolutely no complaints there. Just beware that you will be inches away from the nearest table. Need to use the restroom? Ask the folks at the next table to stand up and let you out. Want your food? Have the waiter pass it to you. read more

Stopped here because the place down the street was too busy to walk in. This a charming little restaurant that was easy to walk in on a weekday around 6:30 PM. I was greeted right away and sat by the window. The ceaser was good, but nothing extraordinary about it. Same with the meatballs, pretty good but I was left expecting something better. The veal almafi was very good, although the spinach may be a little over powering for some as it almost overpowered the veal and cheese. Overall, a good meal, but I wouldn't say it's the best on the north end. read more

We visited this restaurant with my girlfriends a few months back. We were visiting Boston and decided to go have dinner and didn't expect all the restaurants to be so packed! This one gave us a 20 min waiting and our server was so nice! He knew we were waiting and he made everybody possible for us to sit as soon as possible. As soon as we sit, we shared a bottle of wine and ordered some fried calamari's to start. Calamari was ok, they also gave some bread and was also ok. We ordered some pasta to share because we did realize plates were pretty big. We had the Spaghetti Fruto di Mare which was delicious! Really, really good! And the Pappadelle Bolognese which is a classic and it was good. The ambiance was busy and a little noisy but again, it was a weekend dinner time so it makes sense in a busy street. Okay LOVE, the homemade pasta was incredible and this was the best pink vodka sauce we've had in the North End (we live here). This place is absolute yum! Cozy cute place with mostly tables for two. Some say right, I say cozy. Two tables by the windows if you get there early enough. Service is friendly and attentive. Food is fantastic. Gluten free pasta for my wife is a must...so great that they offer it. Wife ordered lamb ragu and loved it...fork tender and delicious she said. I ordered my usual chicken parm to keep it consistent and compare to other places in North end. One of the best I've had...the coating was delicious. This is certainly a don't miss and we will certainly be back. read more

My girlfriend and I had a SPECTACULAR anniversary dinner at Casarecce in the North End. The service was fantastic throughout the night and the food was to die for. We made a reservation and were seated right away at a cute table for two. The venue is quite small and it feels like you are in Italy. We started off with fresh bread and oil which was fantastic. We ordered the burrata appetizer as well which came atop prosciutto and was garnished with balsamic vinegar and tomato. The prosciutto was some of the best I have ever had - so flavorful and fresh. The burrata was great as well with the bread and oil, can't go wrong there. For my main course I got my favorite chicken parmigiana which was fantastic - the marinara sauce was so fresh and flavorful, and had a perfect consistency. It was my first time trying casarecce pasta and it was so good, cooked perfectly al dente just how I like it. The chicken parm itself was glorious as well, and the cheese on top was a perfect addition. My girlfriend ordered an oil pasta dish which came with sausage and broccoli, hers was fantastic and she loved it. For dessert, we celebrated with chocolate lava cake paired with vanilla gelato, it was some of the best I've had in a while. I would highly recommend casarecce if you are looking for an amazing dining experience that feels like you are in Milan. What a beautiful restaurant! We will absolutely be back here for future occasions and just for a bite. read more

Do not try to do a walk on a weekend, we had a reservation and we still had to wait (it has very limited seating so it makes sense that you'd have a to wait a little bit). They brought you bread with Parmesan and EVOO, nothing special and the bread for the bruschetta was very thick and not as toasted as we would have liked. Now onto the entrees, we got Chicken Parmigiana (chicken perfectly fried and the pasta was perfectly cooked), lobster ravioli (good portion and the sauce was garlicky and delicious), chicken vodka and chicken risotto. I didn't try the last 2, but the people who ate it really liked it. Overall, I don't know if I'd come back since there are so many Italian restaurants to try out in the north end, but still worth trying for their freshly made pasta. read more

When visiting Boston I decided to visit North End which is known for its Italian Food. I picked Casarecce randomly using Yelp. My expectations were high! I wont dock points for the parking situation as nearly all of downtown Boston suffers from the same issue. I started with the calamari which was some of the best calamari I have ever had. Fresh, good batter, and the marinara was tasty and warm. The lasanga was light, flavorful and just the right portion size. The service was friendly and fast as well. Good spot to get the vibe of the community. I reccomend! read more

Great place and fast service. The restaurant has a romantic vibe. We ordered the chicken vodka pasta and shrimp diavolo. The homemade pasta in the chicken vodka pasta was great with the sauce. The chicken itself was okay, but the highlight was definitely the sauce. I'm not sure if the spaghetti was homemade, but it was perfectly sauced in the diavolo tomato sauce. It wasn't too spicy but had some heat. read more

We went to Casarecce on a friend's recommendation, who cited it as their favorite restaurant. I am really wondering after eating there, "Did they mean to send us somewhere else?" Like other North End restaurants, the restaurant is super tiny. We were fortunate that the restaurant was only half-full at 6:30 on a Wednesday (maybe this should have been a clue because everywhere else looked packed?), since table are only about 6" apart. Service was friendly and efficient, so this seemed like a good start. Food, however, was so-so to terrible! We ordered the meatball appetizer, carbonara, and chicken vodka. The meatball (portion of 3) and sauce were essentially room temperature and completely under-seasoned. It was accompanied by a very garlicky toast, which I liked. A small basket of bread also came to the table. This was the hardest, saddest bread that they should have truly been embarrassed to serve. The pasta portions were huge - I imagine perhaps a draw for families with little kids - and very rich. The carbonara was nicely peppery. The chicken vodka was awful with way too much sauce and containing pees that had the dull color and off-putting taste of canned peas. Overall, a huge "NEVER AGAIN" for me. read more

We went to Casarecce while walking around the North End. The prices seemed fair compared to some of the other restaurants and the menu items sounded tasty. The food itself was really good. We ordered the vodka casarecce with chicken and the shrimp scampi on spaghetti. The casarecce for the vodka sauce was delicious and was noticeably made in house. The chicken was very tender, although the sauce itself I think could've had a little more salt. The shrimp scampi was delicious. The sauce was nice and light and the peppers in it really tied it together. The servers were super attentive and kind. I felt like we had enough help but weren't being bombarded. The restaurant itself is pretty small but it's decorated cute and had plenty of space for being comfortable. read more
