No frills but great merchandise. If you are looking for a pretty showroom, this is not your place. But if you want a variety of tv's, computer's, software, etc: shop here. You get personal service throughout the store. Sorry Best Buy...I shop here. read more

I have shopped at MicroCenter for many years now and they always have the very best deals on ALL types of electronics (TVs, computers, etc) compared to the big box stores like Best Buy. They also regularly beat Sams Club and Costco on prices which is pretty amazing. I have found their customer service to be outstanding and want to relay a couple of stories about this. First story - Two weeks ago I reserved a high-end open box HP computer for pickup from their online store because it was an amazing deal. When I showed up at the store the friendly lady told me that they couldn't find the open box so they just gave me a brand new one at the open-box price (about a $200 difference). I can guarantee that Best Buy will never do that. Second story - Yesterday, we reserved an open box RCA UHD TV online and then picked it up at the store. I also have to say that the open box was a great deal considering that the RCA was $699 brand new at Frys (the only retailer where I could find this online) and we got it for $299.95. Unfortunately, the open box was defective (the screen snapped continuously after warm up and then started smelling like burnt electronics). We we REALLY bummed about this because we wanted to watch this TV on New Years Night (we bought it on New Years eve) and then New Years day. So, we took it back to the store first thing on New Years Day morning and told them we wanted to exchange it for a new one (currently on sale for $399.95 which is still an amazing deal). The CSR Elizabeth A (Liz) then said it was a $100 difference but she would see what she could do about it because of all of our troubles. In the end, they did a straight exchange of a defective open-box TV for the brand new TV and we didn't have to pay another dime. So, we ended up with a brand new 4K 55" UHD TV for $299.95 which is a crazy deal. On a side note, because of the $399.95 deal on this TV they sold out of this model within about 1 hour of our checkout so they definitely could have pocketed the extra $100 from someone else BUT they chose to do the right thing and take care of us. So, do I recommend Microcenter? Absolutely! I go out of my way to drive about 25 minutes to get there when I have a Best Buy, Sams Club, etc all within 5 minutes of our house. I wish they would build more of these stores in Colorado (there is currently only ONE in the state) but hopefully their customer treatment will lead to more store openings. This is also the only store where I can find computer components (motherboards, high-end graphics cards, RAM, SATA cable converters, etc) that I can only ever find online. OH yeah - and they will also usually match Amazon.com prices which has saved me a few bucks here and there - I always check online before buying in their store locally. Thanks again Microcenter and CSR Liz! read more

I like Micro Center's range of products, excellent customer service, quality and knowledgeable repair technicians. I got treated like a human being for a change! read more

I have been going to Best Buy & GeekSquad for a few years and have grown accustomed to paying the high prices for them to check my computer. My friend turned me on to Micro Center and I will never go back to BB, even though this drive is about 25 minutes from my house.... you guys are so worth it! I had a virus and dueling ant-virus sw going - partly user error.... as I was getting ready to check it in and leave it, the guy suggested I go to the "free help counter". After 45 minutes my computer was cleaned up & running like new - all for no charge. Very impressive, and I could not be more pleased with the service. So happy to buy from the true computer geek-lovers as opposed to the big box store. Thank you! read more

I was incredibly disappointed by the service in parts/hardware section. There were 5 associates standing around chatting while I stood behind then looking confused and then saying, "excuse me, can I get some help?" to which I was completely ignored. I finally had to go find my boyfriend and tell him where to go find the help he was needing. When he managed to get an associates attention the service was disparaging at best. I suppose its easier and slightly more helpful to just fly blind on the Internet for parts. read more

Lucky to have this place here in Colorado. If you're looking for a certain PC/Tech/electronic parts. Just make sure that you have a 1st, 2nd, 3rd option in case you can't find your 1st choice. Friday, Saturday, Sunday are always busy. And parking is always a mess. I would recommend parking further out toward Subway or the Dollar Tree. read more

Excellent selection but the customer service is getting worse with every passing year, with the biggest problem being the checkout line and rudeness of cashiers such as Alina. Today I was made to wait in a line over 20 people deep. If I didn't need the products today I would've abandoned my cart and ordered from Amazon who has never made me wait in line to give them money Get your act together and improve customer service. Brick and mortar with good customer service is preferable to eCommerce, but brick and mortar with poor service is just over priced products with a higher hassle factor than Ecommerce. read more

This place is always packed and not enough check lanes are open. It's always a 10 min wait to pay. If this were anywhere else, they couldn't get away with it, but since Denver doesn't have Fry's, we are SOL in this town. read more

I moved to denver from about 13 years ago and have always been going to Micro center for my tech needs and never ever had issues with them till today.I waked around for about 20 minutes walking past numerous employees and no one at any time asked if i needed help and was really disgusted when one of them even asked a lady that was walking behind me..I am far from one to bring race into anything but I could not help but notice that i was the only black person in the store and was not getting any help...Micro center has always been a good place for me to go shopping but this last experience left a very bad taste in my mouth and do hope the mgt does something about who they employ read more

I purchased an open box desktop 3 years ago and have been very happy with its performance. Recently I ran into trouble getting to the internet. After research of my own I felt that I needed to reinstall drivers but couldn't figure out how to do that so I called customer support. The technician informed me that it was not under warranty, but went ahead and helped me with the drivers. I was back up and running within 5 minutes of getting off the phone. It was a great experience in customer service. read more

I placed an online order on the 9th and called several times over the weekend to make sure the order would be available until Monday the 13th. I never received a call back from the manager. On calling on the morning of the 13th, I was informed that they canceled my order the previous evening and it wasn't available for pickup. They took my number another time so no one could call me back. Avoid like the plague. read more

I wanted to complete the survey, but the link I was given says that it's under construction!!! My husband and I went to the Denver Microcenter this evening to buy a laptop. Brennan W. assisted us, and was SO great that I didn't want to wait to leave a review. He was knowledgeable and friendly, answered all of our questions honestly, and didn't try to upsell us on anything. He even brought a manager over after to say thank you. Microcenter has always been good to us but Brennan still stands out. I hope that this makes it back to him. THANK YOU! read more

I had always been told MicroCenter was the place to go when you really needed expert help with computers. My motherboard on my old PC died recently so I picked up a new pre-built from them. Huge mistake. Never giving them another penny. Got it home, updated Windows 10... loop of death. No concern from staff who said it might take 3-10 days to fix. They offered to give me a new one which I knew they did not have in stock. Can they ship in another with expedited service? Sure in 4-5 days. When I pressed, they asked the manager who said they could expedite the repair instead in 2-3. Well. Okay. I guess. Brand new expensive machine has been bricked but all right. Called them 36 hours later to make sure it was in process. Nope. Complained. They said they would have it done today and to their credit they did. ... got it home ... functional. Two problems. For reasons passing understanding they loaded it with Win 10 32 bit instead of 64 bit. Who does that for a high end gaming rig? No one. Just going to go buy Win 10 and do it myself and leave these yahoos to help the clueless instead. In addition, and more troubling, the 2 256gb SSDs that are supposed to come with the rig are not recognized by the PC at all so if they are in there (cant open it to find out, void warranty stickers) there is something seriously wrong so I did not even get what I paid a lot of money for even after all this hassle. So done with them. Thanks for all the trouble MicroCenter. read more

I came in needing a new plug for my computer and asked to be directed to me. The employee rudely and abruptly told me it was the port that needed to be replaced and soldered. It was the wall plug. I went to Best Buy and got what I needed and now my computer works fine and I might think twice before going back. That's too bad because I'd always gotten good help before. read more

Great place for computer parts shopping. Wide selection for pc components. Avearge prices comparing to Best Buy. I noticed that sales associates sometimes cant handle specific requests. But again love this Denver geek store. read more

Love this always great prices on flash memory, and HDD. If you enjoy building your own computers it is the place to go. However check for what you need online. And write down the part number. The place is a mad house and a lot of the good deals are not on the floor. Almost every time I go there they have to go to the back to get the product. Apparently they have on some products that can be set aside for you with 18 minute pickup. But to each their own. read more

I had a terrible experience. Needed a new laptop keyboard, pretty simple stuff. Tech repair was a total snatch. Then they said they'd call with an estimate (you can't get one on the computer in front of you right now?!) - that was 2 weeks ago. No phone call. Tried to call them - hung up on twice. I'm not driving my ass down there to find out why your service sucks! Went to USA Computers on Colfax. I wasn't sure about the location.... but it was awesome. Got my quote, and the part was installed in 3 days! Bottom line: sometimes bigger isn't better. read more

Very good customer service which we all know is hard to find these days. I bought a computer for my small business and I wasn't using it. Micro-center is the computer equivalent of IKEA when it comes to prices and selection. They have a lot of staff available to answer questions and they can, typically, be a little aggressive when trying to close. That being said I've never felt bad for buying a lower-priced machine and they've always helped me to find what I was looking for regardless of the dollar value. My wife and I buy from here frequently and plan to continue that trend. read more

Micro Center has everything I need for computer parts, and their employees seem relatively knowledgeable and have been helpful as a whole when I'm able to track one down. However, the customer service as a whole is horribly slow and inefficient. Every time I've visited there is always an exceptionally long line that winds into the adjacent aisles past the entry point of at least 20 or 30 people. I think it has to do with the wicked combination of slow computers and understaffing. Wait time is usually 20-30 minutes to check out. I didn't have to wait this long even on Black Friday at Best Buy, so I'm not sure what Micro Center's excuse is. Additionally, the return/exchange and repair side of the store near the entrance are almost always being manned by one or two employees, when there realistically there should be 4 or 5. While I'm waiting I find myself staring at the lonely, vacant workstations (if you squint hard enough you can see dust gathering on the tops of the monitors) that don't have employees there to operate them and wondering how much quicker things would be if they had employees to fill the gaps. Wait time when you call the store is also usually above average, which can be frustrating when you just have a quick question. Usually 10-20 minutes. In conclusion: nice store, nice employees, not enough of them to make it a tolerable experience visiting or calling. read more

My mother and I drove from Colorado Springs to Denver to get a new computer with our two year warranty. When I first got the computer, I was told I could bring in my computer before the warranty was up and get a new one. The manager in service named Alan was rude and not helpful at all!!! So we wasted our time and we were misled when we first bought the computer. I'm very disappointed, waste of money for the warranty!!! read more

Today was my first time at Micro Center & it was a great experience. UNTIL.. my boyfriend & I were walking passed a group of employees, about 4 or 5 of them. We heard one of them say the word "lynching" & paused as another man joked saying "you probably shouldn't say that as SHE" (referring to me as I was in mid stride passing them & being African American & them being Caucasian) "walks by" & they laughed. My boyfriend & I mentioned it to one of the cashiers & she was very apologetic about it & I really appreciate that! But, we thought it would be a good idea to leave a nice review about it also (: I'm for sure never coming back to this location. read more

Love this place. I went in for a mic for my computer. Was in and out in 10 minutes. Always help on the floor available.

I purchased a laptop on 8/21/20. I spent almost $500. This is the first time ever buying from MicroCenter. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM HERE AGAIN! My screen went black just a little over a month after purchasing it. I trouble shot the laptop for over 2 weeks and still a black screen. I got a hold of customer service and they said there are no returns after 30 days of purchasing the item. You know why they only give 30 day return policy? Because their products SUCK!!! I have been in IT for a long time and this is the first time in a long time I have ever gotten a new laptop and had as many problems and I have had! They told me to come back into the store to talk to a manager to see "IF" they can help me but cant promise me anything. First of all I live too far away to make that drive again, and 2 they should just refund me and I mail them back their sucky device, but no they wont so I feel they stole $500 from me!!!! I will never purchase again from this place!!! STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT GOOD PRODUCT!!! read more

Micro Center appears the be the Mecca of all the nerds, geeks and otherwise socially inept individuals of Denver. They come in outstanding numbers, slowly walk the aisles while muttering to themselves before leaving. As near as I can tell their main purposes there is to clog the parking lot, block the walkways, and always be exactly in front of what you're trying to buy. Beware of random D&D games breaking out right in front of that USB cord you're going to need. Micro Center assists these basement dwellers by not only stacking things in the walkways, but also hiding items throughout the store. The sales people in the store, equally frustrated by the mindless wandering of those who don't know about deodorant, often come across as rude and unwilling to help. The thing about Micro Center is that if you really need something for your computer, odds are they have it and it will be a reasonable price. You just must be willing to pass the three trials; The Crowd, The Clutter, and The Sales Team. However; there is a secret I shall teach you, young padawan. Online you can buy your item and pick it up in the store. Typically they need less than 20 minutes to have your items ready for you. Shopping Micro Center this way saves you a lot of time and hassle while limiting your exposure to the nose pickers. Where do they wipe their fingers when they're done? read more

purchased many things over the years. But this past year a Big Drop in Service and Quality. Last year purchased a Dell laptop and it went south in less than a year. Took it in and they wanted to charge me a high amount to download all my info on it. Yet this is a warranty issue so why should I pay? Suppose to of been a New laptop and when I turned it on it said "Lenovo"??? Spoke to 2 other outside computer geeks & they said it sounded refurbished. After much debate, the store manage offered me a credit to a new laptop. I excepted giving them another chance. That was less than 2 months ago and now this new laptop isn't working??? I am not hard on electronics and not a computer wiz. Now I am afraid to go in and have them keep it for days and also Charge me to protect what I have on there. So so frustrating. read more

Go somewhere else. They wont answere the phones and the recording hangs up on you . They do not want your money.

I would strongly avoid, I am dealing with the Tustin location and after a terrible week of having no laptop as they are repairing it, they would tell me they would update me and they would never call and everyday they said they would try and have it done and never met their timeline. I spent 9 Hours on hold over 17+ calls. I would have to call corporate and even corporate said they would have a hard time getting a hold of them. One of the tech support employees even trash talked their Tustin location saying its very unresponsive most of the time and their worst store. After a week of not having a laptop which was somewhat normal due to the extent of the damage, they then avoided using the insurance to replace it because they didn't notice other issues wrong with it. SO little by little they are fixing the parts so I just wait and wait and wait and never get a working laptop. After missing a few deadlines I called and they said Tuesday night it would be ready. I called and waited on hold and called 6 times. Finally they answered and said it wouldn't be done for another day because they found a new issue, but good news they have a spare in the shop so it'll only take another day. Next day comes, I go to pick it up and my Touch ID MacBook button is crooked and you can see how much pressure they put on the screws on the bottom because its pushed in around the screws. I told them I needed it for my work and masters classes and ill deal with the visual discrepancies and ill admit thats not under their contract anyways. BUT I get into the car and test it and the same part they already said was broken and replaced is still broken. I walked back in and they said they needed to keep it for the rest of the day. I told them ill live without the button because I need a laptop. Turns out the software is corrupt. I call and the tech tells me to reinstall the software and if that doesn't work wipe it completely then do it again. 6 Hours later and a few restores and reinstalls and wipes and it finally works... Then I notice if I don't use the laptop for some time like an hour it'll auto shut off and when it turns on it'll say unknown crash. This happens over and over and over again. I also can't visit any websites without the software thinking its a virus..... I called corporate and they said they are going to handle it. They got the store general manager involved and he so generously told me they would repair it and it'll be covered under a warranty because "apple" gave them a faulty part. No shit, I paid for insurance it doesn't matter who gave you the faulty part you legally are obligated to fix any physical malfunction especially when you caused it. read more

I went in for a USB to micro/iphone cable. The cord came with my battery backup so I brought both in with me. I figured if anyplace would have one readily available they would. They typically have everything. The kid named Dimitri that assisted me could not have been dumber...God bless him he was a dumb a*s. I showed him the cable and he took me to two different areas before finally asking someone to help. We never found the cable so I asked him do you have new battery backups for sale and then I pulled mine out of my pocket and SHOWED him mine....he then took me to an isle that had giant cpu backups. He was a complete and total derelict! I could understand if I was trying to describe these verbally but I actually brought in the items I was looking for and he was too stupid to match them. Excellent retailer of electronics. Best in Colorado. The people who work here know a lot about their products. They are simply one step short of having demo-ed all their products in the back rooms, noting all their differences, benefits, and hiccups. The employees are paid with commission, however are helpful, not pushy. It seems I ask them to put their sticker on the product I bought, versus the other way around. I also like the new modification to their lines, they are much shorter now with more registers, and more interesting with all the geek stuff in the front. read more
