Unfortunately, I will not be a returning customer. The selection is vast, But the customer service is very lacking in addition to the repair center. To make a long story short, my computer was expected to be returned within 7-10 business days...4 weeks later, the problem is still not resolved. The communication was terrible, and the customer service I received was less than par. Will not be back! read more

Went here and got into a mess as there was a misunderstanding on aspects of the service contract. I got pretty angry and felt I was not getting anywhere which made me angrier. Put a bad review here then got a call from GM Aaron Nolte. He was really great and proved that Micro Center was really customer oriented first and foremost. Arron was able to diffuse my intense anger and bring everything to peaceful resolution. So if you have a problem here try to stay cool and find Aaron and yes they offer so much more in personalized service that Best Buy read more

Good selection, great prices on most of the stuff. It goes without saying that you should spend some time comparison shopping online before stepping in here. They have the best prices on iPads and MacBook Pros. I have bought 2 iPads and a 17" MacBook Pro at this location in the past 2 years. Their price could not be beat by anyone else. Look out for their sales circulars for great deals on accessories as well. I usually place my order on their website and stop by the Internet Desk to pick up my order. Very convenient and efficient in terms of saving time. read more

Micro Center is not an Apple store but it seems some of the reviewer's here thinks it should be. What it is it is great at and the people who work there are great and really know their stuff. I just worked with Nick who helped me buy the parts to build a screamer of a PC and it went together flawlessly and cost half of a similar spec'd system off the shelf or 4 times one with an Apple label on it. When I got home I compared the price of all items to Amazon and it was a wash but I had the parts in hand as opposed to waiting for the mailman! this place!!! read more

Had a good experience shopping here, but an even better experience after the sale. Purchased a new laptop a few months ago and the power cord started fraying & wearing out very fast. Took it in and they gave me a new one for free, even though I know they wouldn't have had to. Very pleased with their service and will shop here again. read more

I like the store. Great mgr, decent staff. Mixed to good pricing. I hate corporate policies that imposes a wall between me and calling the store. It is impossible to call up and speak to a person in that store.Staff agree to their frustration. And I have spent dinero there.. Instead you reach a call center who, to no fault of their own, does not know what is going on in the store. Re to repair problems... dropped off my hardware over 2 weeks ago. Have not heard from the store, tried to call up, no one to talk to at call center, recording told me to look online, did so and no information as to repair status. Go figure... is this any way to run a business.... read more

Absolutely the worst customer service ever!!!!! The took my Apple computer to repair. They gave me a card for the tech. No phone number!! Called to check status after brutal ivr experience. No call back. So I drive to store only to be told that it had not been looked at yet. Tech would call next day never got a call. Went in again after waiting 30 minutes for a manager to grace me with his presence I was told there was nothing wrong with my machine which was a lie!!!! I called apple and they directed me to their store. They actually laughed at what I was told as it was so absurd!!!!! They were rude unhelpful and quite frankly could care less about me. I won't be doing business with them again and I recommend you don't either!!!! read more

Prices are good, especially for motherboard/processor combos. Pretty good about taking returns. If you need computer parts and don't have time to wait for something to be shipped, this is the place to go. read more

Staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable.I would recommend this place to go for electronics.

Salesperson had no idea what he was talking about. I went in to purchase a monitor to use with my laptop. I purchased the one I did based on the salesperson's statement that it had both VGA and HDMI. Since I have an older laptop I needed VGA but knowing I was updating soon I wanted HDMI capability. He told me it came with a VGA cable. It came with NO cables. It did; however, come with a remote. It is a tv first and foremost so now I have to make a separate trip to get a VGA adapter and an HDMI cable when I could have made the purchase at the same time when I was there and I cannot use it as soon as I needed to. To top things off I asked the salesperson about available laptops with Windows 7. He lied to me and told me they were the only ones who had it. I had a feeling this was a false statement so I chose to wait until I could check and sure enough -- several places have it. Don't rely on their staff to have any clue what you want. Do your own research first so you know what you need when you go in. read more

The store is well designed, clean (for the most part, as much as a store can be with a ton of people picking through stuff) and has a great selection of items. Their employees lack even rudimentary knowledge of anything IT related, worse then Best Buy people. I know what I need so I never need anything more then to be pointed in the right direction as I go there every few months and they usually move stuff by the next time I visit. Prices seem to be ok but if you have actual questions, good luck. I wouldn't trust their behind the scenes IT people with anything so I'd personally stick with ordering stuff from Dell and getting odds and ends at microcenter. And the lines, omg. I was there last week (and have to go this morning) and the line was all the way around back to the start and they only had 3 registers open. It took me longer to check out then drive there and get what I needed. If there was something else closer I'd go there instead and not give them repeat business. Oh and their hours..open at 10am?? I am at work at 7am I expect a store to be open by 8am at the earliest. And 11am on Sundays..forget it! I'll drive across town elsewhere thanks. read more

"I bought an Asus laptop from Microcenter last year. Literally one week before I was to leave the country for a six-month business trip, my laptop would not turn on. I took it in to Microcenter, and it turned out that the motherboard was blown, and it would take weeks to get a replacement. I was super nervous, since I really needed a laptop NOW, and I didn't exactly have $1500 laying around for a new one. The question went to Microcenter's manager, Mike Portnoy, who quickly authorized a n in-store credit for the full price of the laptop. I was able to get a new one in time to get it ready for my trip - yeah! Mike and Microcenter made it easy. I didn't have to argue or fight for my replacement. I really felt like they stand behind their products and their service, and I would be confident making more purchases there. Service is defined by the times things go wrong, and they did a great job resolving my problem." read more

I went to Microcenter to buy a tablet today at around 4 pm. The tablet I wanted to buy according to their website the store has 4 in stock. At the store after wandering for about 20 minutes not finding what I was looking for, finally asked for a associate for help. Evidently the associate didn't like my choice and couldn't find the product on their stock list. I found the product number for him, at which point he kept telling it can't do this and that and it's a low end product. The tablet is originally priced at $549.99. After he figured out I am set on the tablet he went to the back to get it and came out empty handed 10 minutes later. His excuse, he could not find it. He asked me to order it online and pick it up after my order is confirmed. My problem is it is at least 30 min drive each way from my home. Secondly, how could you lose four tablet? If the stores are losing this many expensive tablet then the store must be full of thieves, which must the associates and managers given the security crap customers have to go through plus the tablets are not even on display on sales floor. Go figure. Perhaps their inventory system is so outdated that it takes months to update inventory status because it is 8 pm now, more than four hours after I visited the store and their website still shows 4 of them in inventory (which can't be found). Never had this kind of issues at the Microcenter in Dallas. Of course, in Dallas there are lot more competent competitors, like Fry's electronics. So they actually have to give a dam to keep their customers. Over here no such options. Guess I will have to wait a few days and get it from online. Denver Microcenter.......never again. read more

I called on Monday, using a local number, asking about migrating my old XP laptop to Linux. The guy said "sure, we will need your copy on a disk and it'll cost $69. Just drop it off at the service desk, on the right, after you come in the door. " I arrive on Saturday morning, and the service desk was there on the right. I fill out the paperwork and plop my Dell on the counter. The guy says they only migrate to Windows 7/8, and that I must've spoken with "the center in Ohio." He said it as if this should not reflect badly on either him or his store. I did not bother to tell him about the local number and directions. I quietly left, figuring they probably were incompetent techs, as well. UPDATE: OCD Computers in Aurora will do it for $100. What is it with these big box places and Linux? You know the feeling when you walk onto a used car lot and all the sales guys descend on you like vultures? That's what it's like going into this store. There may have been good deals available but I couldn't get out of the place fast enough. read more

Not pleased at all! Spent 15 minutes in line to tell them my problem. They sent me to the software guys because it seemed to be a "software" issue. Waited 25 minutes. The software guy says, "No. Can't be a software issue. Your computer is old so must be the hard drive going out". I asked if I should leave my Time Machine back up and Mac for Office disc. He said, "No. It's not a software issue and the Time Machine isn't a good enough back up". You need to spend $69 for the back up and $39 for the diagnostics. I left my machine on a Wednesday and didn't hear from the diagnostics guy until Sunday. Come to find out, he can simply run my Time Machine or reinstall the software because the software had become corrupted. Felt like I was at a car repair shop with them not listening to me what I thought was the problem..... I finally picked up my computer and guess what... It didn't work. I took it to a competitor and within 24 business hours, they uninstalled software, created new identity and reinstalled. Computer works flawlessly. read more

I asked two sales clerks to help me find an adapter for a hard drive. The first said she would go ask someone and never came back. The second guy looked it up on the computer, pointed me to an aisle and said "it's over there". I asked him to help me find it because I had tried that approach. He told me it's "3 steps, and to the right", and walked away. I left the store and proceeded to order the part from amazon.com. My experience with micro center was horrible. I took my computer in and told them exactly what was wrong (it was a very simple charging problem). They took two weeks to even look at the computer and would not answer my calls. I finally had to go in and ask what was going on. They told me they "may get to it soon". After they finally looked at it they told me the repair would be 90$. That took another two weeks (1 week longer than I was told). When I went in they tried to charge me 60$ more for it and I had to complain and wait to talk to a manager to get it fixed. Their customer service was useless. I would not go here ever. read more

It is a great store with so much in stock. I wanted to build a computer at first so this really nice guy helped me out. After that however I felt like I was constantly being watched and "helped". I started to become really uncomfortable. I did end up buying a pc that I wanted and the lady at the front was kind, but I still felt like I shouldn't have been there. I used to live in the San Francisco Bay area and I loved going to Fry's Electronics for the sheer geek factor and feeling like a cat in a cage with 100 canaries. The products are cheaper than you might find elsewhere. Only problem is they're cheap. I hadn't even had my Asus laptop 6 months and the computer died. Completely dead. So, fortunately I had purchased the 2 year warrently on this and I'm covered. I immediately took it back to Micro Center and the lovely Repair and Services Center. Only problem is that the Repair and Services Department is soooo backlogged that they had my computer for 12 days! that's 12 days before they could even look at it to figure out the problem. On day 12 I got the call. My motherboard was fried. Did I mention I'd only had the computer less than 6 months. Yeah. So, the next step is to send it out to the manufacturer to repair. Great, so the 7-10 business days maybe less maybe more that'll take to fix is not what I wanted to hear. Ok, so now it's been a month since I gave them my computer. 27 days to be exact. Guess what, I still haven't heard back. In fact, I'm on hold with them right now. I've been on hold for over 25 minutes now just waiting to talk to someone. Anyone! Micro Center is an awful business and I would never do business with them again. Never! I just want my computer back. Had I realized what a horrible customer service ethic they have, I never would have purchased a computer from them. Truly awful experience. Why did I pay $500 for a computer I don't have? Don't buy anything that might break from Micro Center. You may never see it again once it does break. read more

I went to this store several times to see what they have or compare prices but I was never impressed. The last time I was in the store I asked one of their employees who was standing next to the exit door like he has nothing better to do and he was very rude, didn't even use his mouth like a human to answer my questions, instead he was signaling with his hand. Guess what,.. that actually was the store manager. I left the store wondering about what the manager teaches his employees when it comes to customer service. This store doesn't even have their basic return policy on the receipt. You have to go to a web site to read and if you cant get online to retrieve it you're screwed. No matter how many of their own employees actually get on this web site to write good reviews, I recommend to go shop somewhere else cause this store never treat you as a customer, instead they look a you as a dollar bill. Also the store is not cheap and looks like their sales people are commission based cause they stick their code on the items you purchase so expect to be convinced to buy the most expensive items. read more

Wish there were more of these in Colorado! Not a fun commute if you live far away but once you're there it's a pretty awesome place. If they don't have it then you don't need it because this place has it all. Sales people were knowledgeable and not pushy. There was plenty of staff to help if needed. Only downside can be getting guest serviced every 2 minutes, but I didn't mind. The place can get pretty cramped and loud on the weekends. Be sure to price match any deals to Amazon to get the best price. Sales people will not tell you about price matches so do it yourself before you checkout and take your time. The only improvement this place could make would be to it's size. It doesn't have quite the wow factor that Fry's does but I give it the same rating as I think the staff is better trained and more knowledgeable. I've purchased my last 6 computers from these guys. The prices are competitive and the staff very helpful. I just spent an hour chatting with them about purchasing a server. My salesman even called a friend to ask a question he didn't know. The manager came over and personally thanked me (they do this with every computer purchase and frankly in this day and age it's a nice touch). They've got routers, servers, laptops, flat screens, keyboards, wires, software, books, apple junk, power supplies, etc. Cool place. read more

It has a wide assortment of computer stuff, and pretty knowledgable staff.

I love this store. I started going here around 2009-2010ish. First off, I believe a lot of the negative reviews I see are from people that don't really know anything about technology and have to be hand held over everything from the staff. That's not a bad thing, because that is what the staff are for, but you look at how busy this store is and I'm not suprised at all that the staff can't do a better job. And realistically, this isn't Best Buy, this store is really for people who know what they are doing. But that's one group of people. The other group of people are those of us that know what we want, know technology, know what we are doing, don't need hand holding over everything from someone trying to push crap we don't need and end up getting because we don't know any better and end up getting pissed off and leaving bad reviews. We go in, get what we need/want and get out. Simple. Anyway...forget Newegg, TigerDirect, or any other online source for buying a CPU. MicroCenter has them consistently beat on price for CPU's. My understanding is that MC sells CPU's at a loss in the hopes you buy other parts from them as well. And boy do I ever. With tax, you do spend a little bit more for the motherboard, RAM, HDD's, GPU's, etc. than buying online, but you get them there, no waiting for shipping. Take it home and get going building the new rig. I love that. I can't remember the last time I ordered an actual component from online, I just go to MC and pick it up. Watercooling is another matter though. I still have to buy those parts online as MC just doesn't carry what I want in that department. But you can't expect a brick and mortar to have everything. And sometimes MC will pricematch an item if you find it cheaper on Newegg! Even better! They also run CPU + Motherboard bundle deals that save you even more money. The only negative for me is the long lines. As I mentioned at the beginning, this place is always packed and as a result, you will wait a while in both the regular checkout line and the pickup line for online reservations (which doubles as the returns line and porbably why it is slowed down). Other than that, I am glad Denver has Micro Center here, and I wish I had discovered it sooner. read more
