I'm not sure how this place keeps getting onto the 3.2 stars, but this place is definitely higher than that because that is some of the ratings for a small little fast food Mexican food place. It's a family restaurant and sometimes people have issues with things here but for the most part, it's a good friendly place. Try the cheese soup and let me know if it's just a 3 Star Place. I'm definitely a big fan of this place and keep coming back seeing that it's like cheers to me and the service is friendly and they always recognize me when I come in. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. But just try it. They also do catering.

Memories of a packed place on a Friday night...maybe several cars and a few dozen people inside on this visit maybe 10 years since last visit. Food was good...the flat enchiladas was my favorite so ordered them this time around with machaca. Very good, the sauce wasn't what remembered but it was good. Not spicy, just flavorful. Two chicken tacos on flour tortillas with lettuce and cheese...$14 Was told they were ok, just shredded chicken with not much flavor. We ordered guacamole and with some salsa, they were ok tacos. Albondigas soup was third dish. Felt like the broth could have had a lot more flavor and spice but the meatballs were good and the soup had tons of veggies and rice. Overall an ok meal. Service was ok and the food came out quick.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years off and on when I'm in the area. I have never been disappointed with a meal, breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is in my opinion one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in all of Tucson. Had their Machaca and eggs breakfast which comes with beans and a tortilla. It was as usual, delicious

I'm the tourist who showed up half an hour after the posted opening time only to find the doors locked. A man sweeping the parking lot told me sometimes the waitress shows up late. I almost escaped, but as I started to edge to my car, the man urged me to look again. It was now open. Drat: The bare menu showed overpriced choices lacking imagination. I committed to what turned out to be a stiff chewy to no delight scrambled egg and green chili pepper burrito. Thank goodness the waitress offered a small cup of red salsa. Lettuce and cheese from 1977 also sat on my plate. See photo. Nothing redeeming here; I had to fetch one of my own refills of the passable $4 iced tea. The place still had no other customers when I escaped.

Ventured to Michas on a Sunday for my husband to try their Menudo (white). Menudo was just alright in his opinion, good broth, but lacking on the tripe. I tried the chorizo and egg breakfast plate. The chorizo was bland and the beans were also nothing special. We both felt our tortillas were old, a bit crusty, just not good. Seems like one of those spots that used to be great, but has maybe gone downhill, just going through the motions. Don't think I'll be back.

Atmosphere is like a diner, quiet. Service was ok. Food was good, margarita was better. Nothing special IMO. But glad we tried it!

I wouldn't say that it is top of the line cooking, but it is very delicious and definitely worth a visit this side of town. Parking can be a little challenging, they do share a parking lot with other businesses, but close in, there are not that many spots. Service is always friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Interesting atmosphere with flamingos galore and other things decorating the inside. Gives it somewhat of a party and fun feel. Food comes out in a timely manner even when they are very busy. Prices are reasonable. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

(well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt. The manager acknowledged my complaint and that was all; or at least I was fine. Nope, she came back with a to-go box of croissants topped with cream and berries as an apology. They were tremendous by the way. She didn't have to do that. The ambiance is it's only weak point, but even that is minor. Simple black is fine. It's modern feeling and doesn't stand out loudly. They have outdoor seating, which early in the morning is fine, but id avoid in the summer, which will likely mean you'll be waiting, depending on the time. Oh! I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's been a shining star amongst Tucson restaurants and I am grateful they exist. Even to how they organize their menu partly by flavor profiles shows they genuinely LOVE food. I love food too, and I love here. Try this place. Today.

As a whole, I feel like the side pairing of challah toast with jam and butter is an odd choice. I also ordered the iced Thai tea, which was quite weak. Overall--I wasn't really feeling it. When you go to Teaspoon, you're really paying for ambience over quality. There's no issue with the service here, from hosts to wait staff. The food is simply underwhelming, and thus so is the experience. I wouldn't be mad to return, but I don't know if this would ever be my suggestion.

The brisket was delicious, the sourdough was top tier, and the tomatoes, spinach, and gyure cheese all worked so well together with the sausage gravy on top...I was in heaven. It came topped with two perfectly poached eggs and the side potatoes were tremendous. Perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and starchy on the inside. We also got the Chilaquiles Verde and I was super impressed. The pork was incredibly moist and again they absolutely nailed the poached eggs. The green chile sauce had great flavor without being overly spicy, which I appreciated because I like flavor but not too much heat first thing in the morning. The tortilla strips stayed crispy the whole time and it came with a side of mixed fruit, which is always a winner in my book. Of course I couldn't pass up dessert. We tried the lemon blueberry lavender olive oil cake, which is gluten free. It was pretty crumbly (maybe due to being gf?) and I'm probably still 50/50 on lavender as a flavor, but overall it was pretty good. The coconut cream pie was the real standout for me though. Super creamy with great coconut flavor and the slice was huge! Our waiter did a pretty good job and even though the patio was fairly busy, it stayed comfortable because everything was shaded. There were a few flies hanging around, but that is kind of the tradeoff for sitting outside. The interior dining room looked really cute too, so maybe next time I'll try sitting inside. Overall, I liked it and there's a few more things on the menu I want to try so I'll definitely be back. It was a great little brunch spot.
