This place is kinda small but they got section room, they got small selections on seafood and others stuff that which they have at buffet place etc..the food wasnt hot and they seems like a room temperature, Wasnt happy and most of the food has no taste. Cajun crawfish has no flavor and beef broccoli taste like seafood, overall it wasnt a great visit. They also have a different section for sushi. Service here was ok like any other buffet place. I was here for the first time, and my last time unfortunately. First, I've heard some "good" reviews about this place but I'm starting to believe the reviewers never been to an actual Chinese buffet before. The environment is spacious with a lot of tables, but the food selection was insanely small and limited. When I took my first few bites, there was a pungent taste that was disgusting! Secondly, the waiters didn't even pay attention to my table. They went around refilling other people's drinks and asking "how's everything", but I didn't even get the same attention once. Lastly, what on earth was the fortune cookie??? It was the lamest fortune cookie I've ever seen and it had zero taste. We went here on a whim and I wouldn't put this on my top places to eat but it was decent! Lots of options some food looked like it had been sitting there and other dishes looked piping hot and rotated. I did try the sushi and it was tasty! Great Buffet for the price, plenty of selections from seafood to pizza with everything in between including multiple deserts. Four of us ate and we all enjoyed what was available. We beat the crowd by arriving early (thankfully) as it got packed with a line out the door. The service was great with a friendly staff who kept the buffet full of hot food & crablegs. We loves this place. Come here once in a while because its located far from where we lives, we always come on weekends, because of the seafood. The food is always warm and fresh. Down visiting from this San Francisco Bay Area , went to Wok and Roll for lunch on Monday at 11:30 AM. Buffet hotline was full of wonderful items. Great sushi bar , great service , very good dessert bar...I think one of the best Chinese buffets I have been to anywhere. We have quite a few in the Bay Area, but the ambience , service and quality of food was outstanding at Wok and Roll... and our table attendant was on top of everything kept water is full and iced tea and Coke zero flowing freely. The lunch price for adult is very reasonable. I will definitely visit again when I visit Tucson next time. read more

It's not gourmet but the dishes had flavor. The food appeared fresh as staff were bringing out fresh steaming food to refill dishes. The sushi was being made on site. Ample seating. Decent service. Wow, a good Chinese buffet in Tucson at a reasonable price. I checked this place out after seeing it recommended in the Facebook Tucson foodie group. Everyone chimed in to say it was great. I'm really skeptical about Chinese food in Tucson because I'm pretty sure they've never heard of sesame oil or soy sauce. Glad I made the drive for this one. Right off the bat, the thing that surprised me most was that I didn't feel bloated or weighed down after eating 4 plates. They don't overly rely on oil or breading like most buffets do. The selection is great. I've been eating a lot of chicken lately and they have sweet and sour chicken, Thai chicken, orange chicken, chicken skewers, spicy chicken, etc. They also have good shrimp selections from coconut shrimp to fresh shrimp with cocktail sauce and they even have oysters. There's not a lot of beef options but they do have beef with broccoli with large strips of beef. A couple of surprise dishes included tofu and ham/cheese potato skins. I love tofu so I have 2 servings of that; you don't often see it at a buffet. The potato skins were good overall, nice balance of potato and toppings. They have about 8 different sushi rolls and one plate of salmon nigiri. I prefer nigiri but the rolls were good, too. They have a few fish options but I didn't try them. The have all the extras like crab puffs, eggrolls, lo mien, fried rice, egg drop and hot & sour soup, etc. There's a large pot of white rice available. There is also a small dessert area and a salad bar. Now for the not so great... The service. The people are really friendly there but the hostess who sat me got my first drink and after my 3rd plate my actual waiter hadn't arrived yet. I had to flag down the hostess to get my waiter so I could have a soda refill. Odd system when you have to call your waiter over when you're done and he gets you the final bill. They don't just bring it to the table, you have to ask for it when you're finished. One of the cakes was so hard and dry my fork wouldn't go through it (see the picture). Despite that, it actually had really good flavor heh. So be it. Be sure to stir the food in the bins because the temperature overall wasn't that hot, but I suppose that's to be expected at buffets. They are a bit slow at refilling empty food bins. That being said, nearly all the bins had food so it wasn't a problem. I also wish they had soda fountains so you can just refill yourself. None of those things stopped me from liking the place, tho. If you see the pictures of my plates you'll notice there is no oil under the food, but the food is still moist. Like I said, you don't feel bloated after eating here. Easy to find, plenty of parking, clean buffet area, fresh tasting food, overall a good experience. I got the buffet and a Diet Coke and the price was $18.99 before tip. Can't beat that. read more

Honest review coming in. I am thunderstucked at how buffets make money by offering so much to eat. A handsome gentleman offered splendid service. The food I would say is decent which is on par with every other buffet. I wouldn't go for the orange chicken or beef and broccoli, meat taste rubbery. Very good ice cream and egg rolls. I came back on my way out of Tucson and hit the full buffet at lunch and one again fell in love with the place. We used to love this buffet but sadly the last time we were there, the front windows and the parking lot were soooooo filthy (including vomit in the rocks right outside the door) that it turned us away forever. It is a self-buffet, but the waitress picked up our empty plates before we returned to our booth every time, and she greeted us with a nice smile. During the pandemic I pretty much gave up on ever having a decent Chinese buffet again, by Wok & Roll has solved the problem! The sushi was better than I expected, but be sure to grab some soy and wasabi at the end of the bar. The salmon nigiri was pretty decent, and most of the rolls were excellent. The Chinese hot and sour soup could use a little more substance - more tree ears and pork, but the flavor and hear level was great. The stir fry dishes were good, but could use more flavor: garlic, ginger, etc. I get it, a buffet has to appeal to a broad audience, but I think they could crank it up a notch. The deserts were surprisingly good, and the ice cream freezer was top notch and unexpected. We will definitely be back. This isn't the kind of place you want to go to every week, but when I have a big appetite, this place fills the bill! read more

We took friends with us for dinner. Everything except the chicken wings was cold, even the soup. I asked a waiter about it and they sent over the cook who said he would turn the temp us. but by that time, it was too late. I was embarrassed for suggesting it to our friends . He bit into the fried shrimp and under the batter, he found it had not been shelled. At checkout, I explained the situation to the manager and said we would pay for the beer but dinner was not up to temp. She was rude and only took 50% off the bill. Thinking, I was probably enjoying some of the food. I decided to go use the restroom, it was dirty, wet toilet paper on the floor. When I looked up at the wall there were two huge cockroaches.... So my wife and I finally tried this place out on a Sunday. We got there right as it opened, and we're seated promptly. Waitress took the drink order and drinks came out quickly. The sushi selection was quite impressive for a buffet, and actually included Tina and salmon sashimi, nice! The sushi was fresh and delicious, no complaints here. The food selection was also quite extensive and included oysters, several types of shrimp, crab legs and some of the best mussels I have ever tasted. The Chinese selection was your typical American version of various Chinese dishes, but everything was fresh and hot, no issues with serving temperatures on our visit. The price was quite reasonable considering all that was available for consumption, and service was acceptable. I enjoyed this meal and would recommend it to others. read more

When given a choice to pick which buffet restaurant to go eat, my adult children always pick Wok & Roll. It is more pricey than other Chinese buffets. Sitting at Applebee's right now, waiting for my wife to return from the restroom... she's taking a normal amount of time -- particularly a good sign, it's much different than what occurred at Wok & Roll Buffet -- my wife came storming out of their restroom and told me briefly "Honey, we've got to go!" Initially in bewilderment and concern, I went ahead with my wife and immediately left. Knowing my wife's character, that it had to be something serious, I was in my head thinking 'what could it be: a mean employee, a strange encounter, somebody acting silly or biased...' it was none of the above -- she dropped the bomb on me and even reaffirmed with a text that I missed from her right before she came out of the bathroom which had a photo of the problem... roaches... roaches... Stopped over at Wok and Roll this afternoon (Saturday) about 2 p.m. as the place I originally stopped at suddenly closed due to a cash register problem and told me to go away. Good luck though as I was thinking that Tucson no longer had any edible Chinese buffets. But I think I was wrong. I was greeted by the hostess and placed at a booth (after I asked but I got sneered at) and provided my drink order. The place is clean and roomy and the bathroom was clean too. And today: They have a large buffet layout with five full serving counters. This included a salad and desert island, vegetables and noodles, fried food, soup and pizza and finally a large space for fresh California rolls of all types. The California roll area looked fresh and there was a guy behind it that seemed to be keeping everything filled. I didn't see anything that was just sushi, nigiri or sashimi. However, it is possible that some of the rolls did, in fact, have raw fish in them. The hot buffet dishes were all actually hot with lots of varieties. Must have had five or six different types of chicken choices for example. Overall, I was very happy with the selections given it was a buffet. I found some little cakes and rolls that I like in the dessert area but there lots of little goodies to try in there. My server was very nice and checked on me several times. She even brought me a soda drink refill which was fresh and bubbly and kept the used dished cleaned up. So Tucson, this was a good Saturday find for Chinese buffet. read more
