Not surprised at the low ratings here. Went to this location today because they were the only location that had the product I needed. Placed my order for pick up then drove over to pick up additional items. I saw as the girl picked my order so when I went to pay I mentioned to the cashier that I wanted to pick up my order as well. The girl that picked my order told her she would bring it in 3-4 minutes. I used the restroom which was filthy and still walked around another 5 minutes or so. Then I went outside and waited an additional 20 minutes or so until I received an email stating my order was ready for pick up. I walked in and it was not ready, it was still in the girl's cart. She asked me to wait a few minutes because she was still working on bagging other orders....while I did not see anyone else waiting to pick up an order. She wanted me to continue waiting after having me wait already 30 + minutes. No common sense whatsoever...I was waiting on 2 items that were sitting in her cart. I will not be coming back to this store ever again. read more

So sad. I like Michael's but this one is not good at keeping their stock updated. I drove to find something that online said was available but got here and was not. We asked and associate for help and we were told no no no whatever is out there is what we have. No help, no helping us look nothing. Unfortunately won't be back maybe we'll just stick to hobby lobby. read more

I've ran into fantastic employees and I've also come across those who just don't care. This Michaels is just like most other Michaels. They keep things in stock so they're definitely reliable whenever I need something for my arts and crafts. GO TO WWW.MICHAELS.COM FOR COUPONS IN YOUR AREA!!! 1. www.michaels.com 2. "coupons" on bottom left of screen 3. enter zip code 4. select store 5. select coupon that applies 6. let cashier scan & save! read more

Theirs always a sale going on. If things are full priced they usually send out a 40% off a regular prices items. The associates are almost non existing until you get to s register. But it's a craft store so that's totally understandable. The store is well put together even for the holidays it's kept up nicely read more

At checkout, our cashier Dezarae was given a giftcard. She is persistent in giving us directions to swipe the giftcard. I have used a Michael's giftcard in the past and know that the number needs to be entered for the giftcard to be applied. Well after swiping and it not working, Dezarae asks if we want to use the giftcard. Clearly we do if it was handed to her and we mentioned we had a gift card. She proceeds to stare at us while she considers what to do next. She finally asks for help and the other cashier comes over to help her. That did not change anything as we are being told there is no funds on this new giftcard. A second person comes to help and says we have no funds again. FINALLY Dezarae was able to correctly enter the code from the giftcard and we were able to leave. Michael's needs to ensure that their staff are fully trained before working. It is ridiculous the attitude we recieved from their end. read more

Normally, I enjoy micheales...even this one but after today, im not sure i will return to this one. Honestly, im surprised its even around. 1. Service is slow on a good day. On busy days, forget getting any help. 2. Its hard to find what you need. Its either not there, Moved, or the staff can't bother to help 3.mask nazi's: its bad enough having to wait in a line out side a practically empty store (because to avoid covid- make people stand outside together rather then watch people avoid each other inside) i had to deal with some twit 'reminding me to put on a mask...while outside 4. Cranky unintelligible checkers. I was unable to understand the checker. Besides her muffled speech, she whispered and was unintelligible (like she was gargling marbles). When I politely ask for to repeat herself- she rolled her eyes and gave what could only be attitude read more

I would like to express how unsatisfide I am with the refund of a class I signed up for. I spoke with store manager Lori who was very nice and advised I would get a full refund due to the instructor was out sick for 2 weeks, she suggested the instructor call me to re-schedule which has yet to happen. This was over a week a go. I walked in the store today and asked that my refund be applied to some supplies I needed to buy.... well the on shift manager said only Lori can do this transaction, needless to say I walked out upset, all managers on shift should know their process and should know how to help, I am a busy mom who found a few minutes to walk in the store. I have yet to receive a call from the instructor. & I was not helped in the store. read more

I was at Michaels and the clerk that helped me Tommy was excellent. It's so nice to still see great customer service. Tommy was kind and very helpful. Thank you again Tommy for a job well done read more

Michael's gets all 5's from! The store is a clean, stocked, always has great deals, always great service and no one pressuring you! If you download the app it makes things go a lot smoother and faster. read more

I don't know why, the cashiers are super rude at this Michaels. I went in today and the cashier that rang me up, had a horrible attitude. Super rude. If they aren't happy with their job, or have personal problems please leave them at home. I'm taking my shopping to another Michaels. read more

This is a bigger store than the La Verne location, which should mean that they have more in stock. Not so... I find this location to be hard to navigate and the organization is nothing near intuitive. I inquired about something that was in the clearance rack, a pack of stickers that was used, and the manager did not want to discount the item. My kids would have loved the stickers, but even paying the "normal sale" price was ridiculous. Bad customer service, poorly planned store. I doubt I will return to this location. read more

James was very pleasant, he was able to help me find exactly what I came in to buy. The cashier is always such a pill, it's as though she hoards all things in the store as her own and doesn't want anyone to have them. I hate coming into the store and seeing her there, whenever I do I know checking out will be a pain. read more

I want so badly to enjoy Michael's again- I've come here a couple times in the last few years to avoid supporting Hobby Lobby but I leave the store so disappointed every time. This in no way reflects customer service here, I called Labor Day to see if they were open and the happiest, friendliest employee answered! I even had an easy, cool check-out. My issue is with the lack of stock and high prices. I never find what I'm looking for here, they simply do not carry the correct items and everything is really pricey- I'm so sad but it's just easier to go across the street :( read more

Service is horrible at the framing section. No own showed up after 10 mins of pressing the buzzer/bell. I managed to save a lot of money though by getting ready made instead of custom frames which was my preference. read more

This was not the most orderly store meaning check out , placement of items was a bit confusing. But one thing for sure many things you cannot find in other Michaels were in stock here. They also gave me a 50% off on a coupon my friend had . Plenty of parking and located next to highway 10. read more

The issue with this place is that they are always understaffed. I've never not waited at least 5-10 minutes in line for ONE employee to ring up the two or three people in front of me. And because of the nature of craft stores, they always have questions about products. They bring the questions to the register because it's hard to find help in the store. So yeah, "meh." read more

The girl who rang me up did not put one of my items in my bag. It would not have been such a big deal if I lived near by but I live 30 miles away and just happened to be in the area so I stopped by. I called and spoke to the manager Norma, she was very nice and said she would hold the item for me. I told her I was going to try to get that item at a store near me. Double check your bags before you leave. I could have sworn I saw her bag my item. I have a feeling she may have done it on purpose but who knows. read more

Very disappointed. My little girl ordered my Mother's Day gift online for curbside pick-up. We drove 16 miles with tolls to get there, because it was the only Michaels with our item in stock. Collected the item and drove home. The item is not correct. Not even close to the picture online. Was told by "manager" that the item had the same SKU as the one I ordered, even though the name and picture is completely different And the one I wanted is not in stock. Told I should call Michaels HQ for refund or drive back again. Given that the cost of item is less than the tolls I've already paid, it's not worth my effort. read more

It is a testament to our American society that businesses this poorly run still survive is a supposedly "capitalist" marketplace. While I don't have a big complaint against what they carry (though the vast majority of it is "get what you pay for") this seems to be the walmart of arts and crafts - ie: you only need a pulse to work here. My biggest complaint is from their framing department which you MUST STAY AWAY FROM. It is beyond inept. While the majority of framing jobs they outsource (so you'll get a half decent product back) ANYTHING done in store is a complete joke. I brought in four photos to be mounted on foam core (a fairly easy process that I generally do myself but didn't have the time). Not ONE of the four photos actually had even edges to it and each one you could see some of the white foam board behind it - not in a framing manner but obviously because they were lazily cut. I highly doubt anyone from the company reads, or even cares about yelp reviews but if they do you should be ashamed. Across the board you should be. But let's be honest, the way you run your company shows that even you don't care. read more

This is my local store. I've given this place so many chances. A lady with a name that starts with an S is always rude. She always says my coupons arent able to be used but yet when she tries to scan, it works. I ended up buying online so I wont be ripped off by the employees who doesnt even want to bother with scanning a coupon. Its happend by others as well. My thing is why offer coupons if it's such a hassle to use in the store by a cashier. Had to be said because she did it to the people ahead of me as well.... read more

Bad experience at this michales today. Stood and waited in line (nobody was in line) two of the older lady workers were standing there chit chatting about another customer that had just left while another worker was standing at another register. She looked at us 3 times before asking if we were ready. Tried to give us an issue about a coupon. In the end it was resolved but next time we will just go to the chino hills location for better customer service. read more

Used to love this store but lately the lines are always super long, their inventory management system is not great because they never have certain items, they really need to do a better job at this because it makes it frustrating to come here when you have a project to do and they don't have what you need. read more

Like most Michael's, they have everything you need for any craft that you might want to tackle. Prices aren't too bad, but there aren't a lot of people around to ask for help if you're looking for something or would like advice. Everything is neat and clean, so as long as you know what you're looking for and you know what you're doing, you'll be fine. read more

I think I went to the wrong Michaels in Ontario, because the one remember was better than this one. While staff seemed friendly enough, they had less of the scrapbook stuff I look for in other Michaels stores. As usual, you can never tell about their sale bin or stickers if the ones hanging on the display are really the sale ones. The clearance stuff has no sale stickers on it. The holiday candle section was decimated and not a single cinnamon scent could be found! All in all, you might want to shop at other Michaels and skip this one if you can. read more

Walked into Michael's today to buy some material for my son's california mission project as always the store is kept in great order that everything is easy to find and workers are always super help so no surprise there.after paying for our stuff and starting to walk out a employe walked up and ask my son and asked his name after telling her, she hands him a $10 giftcard and tells him to come back again and buy something for himself i was so surprised that a store would do that that show how much a store appreciates its customers i got to my car and just had to write this review come shop here read more

Michael's is soo much fun! You've got your slew of various products to choose from and in your creative madness, Michael's is the ultimate sandbox. Generally, their service is hit or miss and today this Upland location was a total HIT! :D I had two employees helping me to choose different ornaments and paints to decorate with. Explaining to me the techniques and which types would be better or not. Then, the icing on top came at the register. The kind girl's first comment to me was that there was coupons available online today. She asked me for my smart phone and went step by step to pull up 2 coupons to save me 50% on the most expensive item and then 25% on the entire purchase!! WHAT A STEAL!!! Thanks Michael's :) My holiday gifts will be soooo cute and CHEAP thanks to your employees and coupons! YEEEE!!! read more

I love this store! The employees here have been more then helpful. I have visited this location four times in the last month buying supplies for a party I'm planning. Not only did they find online coupons for me at the register but they called the other local stores for me when they were out of a certain item. I had to visit two other Michael's to finish up centerpiece and the employees at this location and the other ones made it happen. The prices here are very reasonable. read more

Another round in the Store Where Creativity Gets Crushed Face Painter Gets Face Slapped I needed a face painting kit for a party--it was a last minute item, so I went to the closest craft store, which happened to be Michaels. I don't know why I haven't learned my lesson from previous experiences, but this time I'm done with this store. The outside of the kit had lovely pictures of kids all done-up in bright colors, neat little figures painted on their faces. So naturally I thought that the colors in the box would match the colors inside. Nope. Okay, so work with what you have, I said to myself. Once I got started I realized that the kit was missing the black paint. The little pop-out color units are encased in black plastic so it wasn't immediately apparent. I took the kit back, explained the circumstances, but got more Attitude than I can explain. I'm not sure why these folks chose retail as their line of business because they clearly are not suited to dealing with the public. Or perhaps Michaels in Upland does seek out individuals who don't want to do right by the consumer. Perhaps their application says, "Must be able to play rough with customers. Must be willing to laugh while customers wait in line for extended periods of time while busy mothers hopelessly try to entertain their children in order to get one little part to finish a child's class project that is due tomorrow." And I think that at the end of the application it probably says, "Must have ability to ruthlessly crush joy and enthusiasm." read more

I have been to this store many times, and each time it gets worse. Went yesterday morning - a Wednesday about 11:00 am. The place was filthy! Now I know that a craft store can be messy, but this was downright dirty. The white floors were almost brown. And I made the mistake to use the bathroom. Even the walls of the stalls had brown smudges on them. The faucets were white with corrosion and one of the sinks was so badly scarred, I don't think it can ever be made right. And it can't be because the staff doesn't notice. It was the WOMAN's rest room and most of the staff are women. I didn't purchase anything, but I noticed that there was only one checkout woman and a long line of people. I don't think I'll ever go back - this was pitiful and a disgrace to the city of Upland. read more
