I love when I can walk into a store and am immediately met with a plethora of seasonal decor. There's just something about it that brings me such joy. It's not even September, and Michael's has all the decorative items to get you ready for Halloween, Thanksgiving and any other fall celebration you might have. But, that's not what we came here for on this particular item. I was looking for balloons, those big foil number one for a birthday celebration. They have a whole section called the "party shop" and it was easy to find what I needed. The staff were super helpful as well and blew up the balloons there at their balloon bar so I didn't have to buy one of those helium tanks. The balloons were perfect and lasted for hours even with the wind trying to take them away. I really appreciated their attention to detail with the ribbon, making sure they were the same height. It was also easy to checkout, they have these digital checkout kiosks now and everything was very efficient.

The distribution of employees was very poor and dissipated, with workers being huddled up in corners, though this is expected from a corporate company. Ali was very incompetent, I asked repeatedly for help, just for him to forget. We spent 5 minutes trying to find the right key for the security glass. I will say, I received good service from Andrew!! No glaze of course, but he hooked up me up with free posca markers.

Well, Michaels in Tustin really left me hanging - literally! I went in to grab some yarn for my girlfriend ' blanket project, but I couldn't find a single employee to help me out. The self-checkout was a nightmare, and when We finally managed to ask a question, We got the stink eye from the cashier. Looks like my girl starting to think I'll never get that blanket - maybe She just have to knit one out of pure frustration instead. This place is a yarn-tastrophe!

Michaels is not your granny's craft shop. They have almost everything you could want to work with hobby/craft wise. The associates were helpful. This Michaels has lots of items in stock. They also have plenty of things on sale. I recommend this Michaels. Only downside, the parking is difficult in this plaza.

Staff is very kind and helpful but it's clear that management isn't scheduling enough staff to meet the needs of customers.

The store could use a remodel, but the staff was friendly. Plenty of easy parking and they were not busy. Online order pick up is a breeze.

When we arrived, they told me there is also a mandatory 18% gratuity. First, that is legally supposed to be disclosed clearly and in advance which it was not. The kids picked out their paint colors and then we found out that your location was out of (six) different colors that they wanted and they had to settle for less appealing options. The attendants were slow to replenish the paint and acted like it was an inconvenience, even though they were getting a "mandatory gratuity". They could have been nicer and more friendly. One of the colors they "replenished" was not the same color as we got at the beginning even though we asked for the same color # and the attendant even checked the # to make sure, and one of the kids ending up having two different colors of paint in one section of her ceramic piece that she was really disappointed about. When we asked the attendant how we could fix it, she said she didn't know and literally walked away mid-conversation to help someone else. She clearly did not care about our party once we sat down. My bill was almost $300 and the mandatory gratuity was $49.32 which was absolutely not worth the service we got. I doubt we would come back to your store since we never had this issue at Color Me Mine.

My wife got out of the car and was at the door inside that window. They wouldn't let her in without me, and I was still parking. I walked in 11 minutes after the start -- one minute past their cutoff. There were maybe four to six people in the room. I explained the family situation involving my son. I told them it was our anniversary. My wife was distraught, and I pleaded with them and tried to reason with them. They turned us away anyway. We weren't asking anyone to slow the class down or stay late -- we would have caught up on our own. My wife left humiliated on the day she had planned as a gift. I get it -- you have to run a business, and you have to start on time. But she was there inside the window you gave us and you wouldn't seat her. It came down to one minute and two people standing in front of you, and you chose the minute. The class started without us. So did the last impression I'll have of this place.

The kids enjoyed pizza, drinks, and snacks and got to paint a ceramic piece of their choice. Such a great place to have a birthday party. Also, we recently came back to look for a birthday gift. Keep in mind it can get a bit pricey but the finished products are beautiful. If you plan to gift your ceramics, it'll take either 3 days (rush order for $5) or a week to pick up your order.

We did this for our girl's day and while it can be initially more on the expensive side, we were able to paint at least 2-3 ceramics each. We did buy more paint than what was included in the take home kit because we wanted more colors, but if you plan your colors meticulously then the original amount you're given is more than enough to paint 1 ceramic each. The glazing is covered once you pay for the kit and ceramics and if you have leftover paint and want to go back to buy more ceramics, you don't need to pay extra for any of the glazing. I much prefer this than going in-store if you are doing a group activity. You can take your time painting and it's always nice to be able to do what you want in the comfort of your home. This is perfect for birthdays, girl's night or even just something to do with friends.

This was for a public class on a Saturday at around 4:30 PM. The class consisted of 8 people max and seemed to be all couples. All of the equipment was prepared like an apron, clay, pottery wheel, etc. We had an instructor that was very knowledgeable and explained everything from start to finish. Complex technicals were explained in layman's terms. We were given enough clay to create 3 pieces but could keep up to two. The instructor also frequently went around to check everyone's pieces and was able to troubleshoot as needed. It was a fun experience but be very prepared to get your hands dirty! The glazing portion was separate from the class. There was no reservation needed for that so I did it the same day that I went to see the ceramics. For parking, street parking could be hit or miss depending on the time. I'd recommend coming early to have ample time to find parking. Overall, I enjoyed the experience enough. It could have been perfect if the staff here remembered to follow up on when the ceramics were ready for pickup. I am happy with the end result though.
