The customer service at this Michael's location is horrible. I will never shop there again. About 2 months ago I visited to exchange a frame that was broken inside the cardboard and it took the young woman helping me about 20 minutes to find the frame. First she wanted me to wander up and down the framing aisles looking for it with her (I was pushing my baby in a stroller as well, following her around). She didn't take the broken one with her, just glanced at it once and started searching. She kept picking up frames and asking, "Is this it?" I kept telling her it wasn't and tried to get her to take my bag with the broken one, but she refused. Next I asked if she could look it up in their system to see if they even had one, instead of wandering aimlessly. We walked to the front of the store where she checked on a handheld scanner and they did indeed have 5, but she wasn't sure WHERE in the store, so she suggested I check at a different Michael's... REALLY?! You should have 5 in stock, but I should try somewhere else? Wow. She finally left me up front to go search and came back about 5 minutes later with the right color/style, but wrong size. I asked her where she got it and went to get the proper frame myself. What a waste of time. TODAY was even worse. I realize it is Christmas time and the store is busy and short-staffed, but blatantly rude employees should be fired. I needed 6 frames for holiday projects and found exactly what I was looking for. When I got to the register, none of the frames (3 different styles) rung up at the correct price. I tried explaining this to the woman, Roleen, and she said that's the price that is in the system, so it must be right. Well, no, that's not what the flyers hanging all over the frames section say. In other words, they don't honor their own prices. I asked if the prices could be checked and she said the store was too busy. At this point I only had about 3 minutes until I needed to be somewhere else, so asked for the manager. She called another employee over and told him to take me to go check the prices. Another wild goose chase. He took his sweet time and I don't think he really knew what he was doing. I told him I had to leave and asked if the 6 frames could be saved until I could return. His answer was yes,, but that I would need to wait in the customer service line up front again, which was not going to happen. So I had to leave with nothing. THANKS Roleen, for not doing your job. Not that this store wants my business, but they definitely will never get it again. read more

If I could give this michaels 0 stars I would. I LOVE MICHAELS but this certain one absolutely sucks. I just left here for some holiday shopping (every holiday no matter what it is I spend at least $300+ at michaels on decor) this michaels had the least decorations I've ever seen. And the ones they did have were tacky and cheap and way overpriced even after being on sale. I found a few things I liked. And then waited in a 20 min line to Check out. The cashier at number 7 didn't look at me didn't say when I walked up just grabbed my stuff and started checking me out. Fine whatever nbd. I then go to pay with Apple Pay on my iPhone and gives me attitude saying they don't have Apple Pay. Don't know why I get attitude for trying to pay with Apple Pay a service MOST PLACES use. Fine you don't have Apple Pay but there's no freaking reason to be rude about it. Won't be giving my money to this Michaels ever again. read more

I don't really like shopping here. It would be unfair to give it a bad review because I get a lot of useful items here. What I don't like are the long lines, it's hard to get help, and the items are unorganized. I shop here about once a month. My kids love the crafts and I buy a lot of Holiday decorations. read more

Being a crafty person I am always in here. It's always very clean and organized BUT customer service is terrible. No one is around to help me if I have a question and the line is always long. I come here maybe 2 or 3 times a week, it is my absolute favorite craft store to buy all of my supplies, but the last 4 times I've come here in the last 2 weeks it has been HORRIBLE, the shelves have been empty, nothing has been restocked, I came today looking for one specific item, which was not on the shelf, of course, so I walked the entire store for help and there wasn't anyone around to help me, and there usually never is, this Michaels is obviously severly understaffed. read more

Disappointment. Poor customer service. Waited in line. The cashier saw me, didn't acknowledge me, someone else walks up asks questions and both cashiers jump to help. I seek assistance to get a frame and no one is available to help not only that but no one approaches you to see if you even need help. While I did score on some after holiday Valentine's deals, that was probably the only good thing about this store. It is small for the amount of merchandise they cram into the store. The two guys working in the front seemed bothered that I wanted to buy something and did not break their conversation to great me or when I stated that I was going to run outside really quick to grab another item. Anyways, I'm kinda glad that I was out of the area I usually shop in and the Michaels in my area has a more customer service oriented staff. read more

Oh Michael's why are you so expensive... why do we still buy here if its so expensive... Oh yes those lil 50 and 40% coupons we get all the time. Since my wife is super martha stewart meets ace of cakes we buy some of our baking supplies here but only when we are short on time, which we always are with 6 kids running around. We usually buy stuff online. The store itself is always very clean and organized unlike the other Michaels in Santa Ana..oh geesh! The workers are always helpful. I went yesterday and I saw this new cricut but for cake decorating. The worker knew so much about it I was about to buy the $300 set. Hahaha But walked away since I knew my wife could do most of that stuff the machine could do. But its awesome that the worker knew so much on a new item. Great little store. My kids love that bargin isle where everythign ranges from $1 to $5. Prices could be a bit less but ehh. Never forget to bring those coupons or save those old receipts that have 40% coupon on it. read more

Was just here today to get some decorations, ornaments and holiday crafts. I found the cutest owl ornament and it was even on sale! I work close by so I am constanly in here, and I had even signed up for a cake class here. Its an o-k store, except when I asked anyone in the store a question they seemed like they didn't have the time for me, and had no clue what they were talking about. As for the cake class I took, I hated it. The teacher was a bit to snippy with everyone, and was hurrying through everything like she just wanted to leave. Not to mention she treated you like you were an idiot. Honestly I think I will be taking my shoping to a diffrent location. read more

THE place to get your "crafts on". Of course there are few places left to find these items so I think the customer service does not strive to be very competitive, oftentimes hard to find someone to help. I will give them kudos for knowing their merchandise and inventory. The store is packed with so many items from beads to scraping, misc $1.00 items, wood pieces, decorative items, containers for storing, paint, flowers, art, frames, etc. It is actually fun to walk around and get ideas for a new project and they have instructional books as well. The store tends to be a bit messy at times but it is quite exciting during key holidays to find items for decorating and themes. I always take a quick browse before walking into the store to look at the goodies sitting outside the front door, as they are marked way down! Always check out your receipt as your next visit gives you a nice percentage off! read more

Had to come here to buy some art supplies for my kindergarteners class for their halloween party. Walked around the store three times looking for wiggle eyes and maribou boas while attendants walked past me numerous times and nobody caring to stop and ask i to help. I finally find my items on my own but I needed 4 yds of the Maribou boa but they were labeled 6 ft. Then as if the people working here cant get any more lame, I located three different people to ask if they can help with the conversion, nobody wanted to help or even find me a measuring tape or ruler, people you work in an arts and crafts store, how is it none of you know how to measure?! The guy in frames replied he didn't know and didn't even look up at us when asked if he can help, when I asked another girl if they had a measuring tape she laughed and said 'we're not a fabric store', wow, amazing customer service Michaels, it's a wonder this location is always dead when I come here. The parking lot has stray carts floating in the middle of the road and attendants inside with nothing to do. You need to fire all the bored out of their minds teenagers and bring some professional scrapbookers or older arts & crafts retirees to work here who have patience to work with the customers and enjoy giving good customer service. I ended up doing the conversion on my iPhone, thank god we have smartphone apps to help with the hard things. read more

On Saturday 4:00pm, December 21, I went to wrap an antique framed gift I had and realized the glass was broken. I was giving it the next day to an old friend, who this picture would mean a lot to, as it was a weaving of egrets that represented her husband who had passed away 12 years ago.. I drove to Michaels on 17th, I went to the framing counter and asked if there was any way they could re-glass this picture for me. Ruth and Thomas were behind the counter. Ruth said that Thomas could clear what he had going on and see if it could be done. I paid for it and was told by Thomas he would try to do it, if nothing else came in. Well, I got a call on my cell an hour later saying that he got it done for me, I could pick it up. That was 5:00. Last minute before Christmas they managed to do it for me. When I gave it to my friend she cried, tears in her eyes, and when I tild her of the Michaels she said it made the story even better for her. Well done, Michaels. read more

I usually try to avoid this store because of the small parking lot. That said all Michaels are the same. The store seems to me to always be a mess so you really have to shop. Nothing where it should be. Which means I find what I am looking for plus things that I am not!!!! Michaels is a real fun place to shop if you like crafting, which I do. read more

I has the worst customer service experience EVER at this location. I bought wooden letters and an ampersand for decoration at my engagement party. Since they were natural wood colored, I wanted to spray paint them black, and then put sparkles over them. So I talked with one of the employees for probaly about 15 mins about which spray paint is the best, etc. Well there were some issues with the wood so I asked her if I should sand down the letters before hand and she told me that with the paint she was suggesting, I would not need to. So I bought a black spray paint, and a spray paint I spray over the top of that to make it sparkly. (I confirmed with her many times that that was sparkly spray paint). When I got home and started spraying, I noticed that I could still see the imperfections in the wood through the black spray paint. I figured maybe the glitter spray will help cover it. Once I started spraying the "glitter" spray I noticed that it was just making the letters look splochy. After a couple hours I came back to my letters and noticed they looked horrible, and on top of that, they were sticky! Turns out the spray she gave me was just adhesive spray. Not glitter spray. I thought not big deal, I will take these back to the store and exchange them for new letters, and new spray. Turns out is was a bigger deal than I imaged. The associate at the customer service desk was unsure if she could let me return them so she brought over her manager, then that woman was unsure of what to do so brought over another manager who was completely rude to me saying that I can't return damaged items. I tried explaining to her that the only reason they were damaged was because HER employee gave me faulty information on the spray paint, as well as how to treat the wooden letters before I spray painted them. She said that its ridiculous I would think its OK to try and return something that is used and expect to get my money back. (I wasn't trying to get money back, I was trying to get new letters and the correct spray paint). Its a shame I was treated this way concidering I bought a few hundred dollars worth of supplies for my party and was planning on buying supplies for my wedding here.
