What a great store. So many selections of containers for all your needs. Today I was looking for closet, organizers, and containers. They even have designs where you can customize your walk-in closet. I was very amazed at the large selection of various containers for closets of all shapes and sizes. However, it can be quite overwhelming as there's so much to see and so many options. I had to take a break and step back and reevaluate exactly what I wanted in my closet as well as new kitchen area. A lot of the items were clearly marked, but the prices weren't always labeled or or in the correct spot. I had to bring up a few items to the front cashier to find out their actual cost. Overall, this place is good to get an idea of exactly what you are looking for in designing your home. There are staff around asking if you need help. There's also a college shop area which is great for getting items for students in their dorms. Good timing as most students are back in store. Overall layout of store was good and easily marked. I remember the very first time I found out about The Container Store and my exact reaction was: WHY?!! And I laughed and roll my eyes. I'd even see it pop up on wedding gift registries and think, "Wow... how lame." I'd mock it in my head like a mean high school girl. Since then, I've driven by The Container Store thousands of times, always questioning how a store like this even exists...until yesterday. A monumental moment. A coming-of-age, even. I drove by and suddenly everything clicked. Omg. I need containers to organize my life. I walked in, looked around, and was blown away by the sheer number of organizational solutions I didn't even know I needed. A whole new world opened up. Now, full honesty: I did compare prices with Amazon and other retailers, and The Container Store is definitely a rip-off in most cases. Like come on, $5 for ONE hanger??!!! Docking one star for that. But here's the thing, this is the place to bring your measurements, touch and see the products in person, and figure out what works before you click "add to cart" somewhere cheaper. Or, if you're one of those people with money to burn on fancy containers or think "paying more is always better", hey, this is your playground. (You know the type, slightly worse than adult Taylor Swift fans. Actually no, same. Just as bad.) All in all, definitely worth stopping in if you're ready to finally get your life together. If I could give a zero I would! Worst service ever. We went into the design center to design a closet. We gave the designer all the dimensions and the specifics to our closet and she came up with a design that did not fit our closet, even after having all the measurements and specifically going through how the closet was set up. She ordered all the wrong parts. I needless to say we needed to send them all back and we ended up designing ourselves the closet and ordering through her the parts. That was in January. It is now May and we still do not have parts. I would completely steer clear of the container store for any type of closet Services! We'll back to a hybrid work schedule and I needed to move some things around my Elfa set up. Stopped by this location and parking was great. Lots of spaces at the structure right next to The Container Store. As I walked in, the cashier line was 15- 20 people deep. What the heck???!!! I went to the areas I thought where I would find what I needed and there's no rhyme or reason how they organized this store. I wasn't able to find what I needed and there was no help to be found. I wandered through the store hoping to find what I needed on my own. No such luck. I luckily ran into a manager and asked her where I could find what I needed - turns out, its not on the floor and she has to go to the back to get it for me. WHAT THE HECK!!!!!!! I've been wandering around for 20 some minutes. I didn't have the size info so I had to get that info and go back. I think I'll just order it online and save myself some time. read more

My newest addiction and I never know what to buy because I want everything! They have so many cool things that will definitely allow you to tidy up back at home. They even have a pretty cool seasoned section filled with cool stuff for Christmas. Storage containers, gift wrap, bows, and so much more. My favorite section is the area in the back where you can find many items to store your art supplies. I can never decide which one I want and can spend a good 10 minutes in this aisle. They have mobile order and you can pick up at the back of store which is really cool. Make sure you become a POP member to get cool deals in your email to go on mini shopping sprees. The Container Store is a large department sized store filled with.. you guessed it.. containers. When shopping at the Container Store be prepared to offer your first born child to pay for a few drawer dividers, this spot is definitely not cheap! I typically utilize the Container Store for inspiration and research to learn what type of organizational tools are available. I'll take notes during my trip, and then follow up on Amazon after to purchase any needed items at a much better cost. On Jan 2 I went to the store, receipt in hand, to return 4 items all on the same receipt. The cashier (Billy) instantly asked me for my phone number which I provided. I had the receipt in hand and went to give it to her but she said, "no I've got it" while looking at her screen. The return proceeded normally until I signed on the line and she said, "ok sign again for the other return". Wait, what? I asked why a 2nd return was generated when they're all on the same receipt. She then stated they're not, until I showed her the receipt reflecting they actually were. Part of the refund had gone to my client who had purchased the same items on a different transaction but under my phone number. Their system randomly chose any receipt containing the product to refund the client instead. This is a massive glitch as Container Store actively encourages designers to create these accounts to make working with our clients more streamlined. Thank God it wasn't a larger amount as what business owner wants to go ask a client to give them their refund money back and try to explain this mess? Why does the system pull from different receipts when all items are on one? Why did Billy not take my receipt from the beginning to ensure proper credit as *she is supposed to know how the system works? CS encouraged designers to sign up with our phone numbers for their trade program and should already *know that at times our clients will pay and other times the designers are paying,.....so why does the system pull indiscriminately? This poorly thought out system and cashier mistake could be forgiven were it not for the store manager. Billy asked Suzanne how it happened and Suzanne had the audacity to blame the customer. Instead of acknowledging the problems that just occurred, she had an arrogant attitude and nothing but excuses, namely that I should've forced Billy to take my receipt and that I should've known the system operated indiscriminately. This really is the ultimate in bad customer service. Suzanne has no business being manager when even the most simple rule of never blaming the customer for your own internal issues cannot be observed. I used to love this store but after such an egregious encounter I refuse to support it so long as this manager remains. read more

The Container Store needs to stop selling, "Richard's Moth Repellent herbal sachets." It does just the opposite. Yesterday I looked in my closet in absolute HORROR to see a "live moths farm "on the sachet and a giant hole on my new cashmere-sweater, behind the sachet, where they are feeding. Small white winged moths crawling all over. It happened to another sweater and there's holes in all my wool clothes as they migrated to other sweaters in my closet. I'm complaining to this manufacturer asap. I'm writing to warn others, don't use this product!!!! I found other reviewers on Amazon who had the same horrible experience with it !! read more

It's been a long time since I've stepped into The Container Store. A bit like IKEA where there's a lot of eye-candy. Product offerings are competitively priced with other retailers (Costco does not count) and some products are ONLY offered here. I walked EVERY aisle just to see what I've been missing all these years. I noticed a few unique items thinking they're only available here (but not really). Spent about 20 minutes looking at trash cans. Don't laugh! Seriously, there's about 20 different types, NOT including the 7 or 8 for the bathroom. I then moved on towards the kitchen ware area and spent 20 more minutes browsing. The closet space area was mesmerizing with all it's special shelving and drawers (almost an IKEA thing). BTW, there was a travel bag sale that week I was there, no need for it, so ignored it. Easy location being the 1st BigBox retailer in Metro Pointe next to Best Buy. The Container Store is one to visit, but not as often as BB next door. Usually the same products. But it is worth a visit if you have not been. Happy Shopping and Fight On! read more

I just Wanted to take a minute to write a review about my experience at the container store on Sunday 8/23/2020. If you've never been to the container store you are in for a treat. While I had to wait in line outside for about 20 minutes to get in, I found the wait to be well worth it once I was inside. The container store has storage and organizational things in every shape and size and somethings come in fun colors. It's best to wear comfortable shoes since you might be there for awhile since it's hard not to go up and down each aisle. When I went to checkout I had a very nice and helpful store associate by the name of Cynthia H helping me. She provided excellent customer service and help to make my experience at the container store one that I wanted to write a yelp review about. If you have storage or organizational needs, run don't walk (or maybe drive) to your nearest container store, you will be glade you did. I love the plastic storage units are always the same meeting when I go to target they'll have a different cover or a different style and then they don't match the ones you have and it's a big song and dance you have to throw them away it's such a ways! Customer service and management really need work here. My boyfriend's online gift card wasn't working so the cashier called the manager Suzanne over. We were already saying we'll just cancel the order and order online, but she didn't listen and snatched (I am not exaggerating) my boyfriend's phone to see the gift card. We tried saying we'll just order online again and still were not listening to us. In the end, they weren't able to resolve the gift card issue, and when we asked again to just cancel the purchase, we were given a lot of attitude. I heard great things about The Container Store so I decided to check it out. I was looking for a shoe organizer for my ever growing shoe collection as well as some clear storage bins so that I can make room in my jam packed closet. I walked in and saw the section that I was looking for. So the cool thing about the store is that a lot of their items are displayed & the shoe organizers even had shoes displayed in them so you could get an idea how big the bins are & what type of shoe will fit in the bins. Unfortunately, I have a good amount of heels and noticed that the bins would not fit the heel standing up so you would have to place it the way it would be displayed in the box. Ther was another shoe organizer for (12) but in reality only some shoes would fit in pairs and other bigger shoes would have their own compartment. I decided the 8 compartment shelf would be better and I would be able to purchase 3. When I looked at the unit a little closer I realized it is very very flimsy. The backboard was very thin and flimsy as well. So I decided against it. I now understand why it was priced so cheap but I had bigger expectations as far as quality for The Container Store. I walked around to view other storage options and was never greeted or asked if I needed help. And there were several associates that were walking around the store so I don't know why I didn't even get a simple hello. We have used the Container Store for years for custom closets and been pleased. Never again. We coughed up the 20% charge to have our closets installed. The installer was late, very slow and in the end did not take away the demolished closet parts or packaging. This we were told is only if you get the "high end" closets or you pay an extra $180! When I called the manager I was told it was true and " most customers don't mind". Seriously? What company do you know of that installs appliances, mattresses, furniture anything these days after raping you with delivery and install costs does not at least take their trash? The store has a decent selection of items, but the customer service is extremely difficult. I placed an online order for pick up in February- while the website stated I'd be able to pick up the next day, at checkout my pick up dates were at the end of February and March. Not a big deal as I understand they have to complete orders in the order they're received and that they have a high volume. The first pick up order were missing a few items, and they told me that they'd most likely be ready with my second pick up. Fast forward to March 20, I pick up my second order. I have several items still missing & they're not sure when they'll have them in stock. I ended up cancelling those items. It took quite a while to get the order cancelled and even longer until I got a refund... I had to call quite a few times until an employee finally explained to me that my credit card total would be adjusted rather than show a refund. At the end of April, I finally saw a credit card statement refunded instead of the order total being adjusted. They have great home organization/ improvement items, but I suggest going early in the morning (to beat the COVID lines for occupancy) and to purchase in-store rather than for pick up. read more

What a waste of a trip . We drove 60 miles to get containers to organize our pantry. Due to covid we had to wait outside for 25 minutes before we could even go into the store. Once we got in to the store I couldn't believe the lack of inventory. They were Out of everything we were looking for. Poor planning by the Container store. After ordering a couple of things on the website, I had to return one thing. I came on Saturday morning, and the line to get in was pretty long! We waited 30 minutes just to get into the store. Although it's good that they're regulating how many people are in the store, they should really have a separate line for people who are just returning items. Because after you get through the outside line, you have to wait in another line to get to the ONE cashier they have working. There was a store employee that came out to make announcements... and she pulled down her mask and started yelling. (Please keep your mask on when you're talking/yelling.) At the counter, they have screens where you can type in your email or phone number to enter your POP membership number. They don't wipe that down and they don't have hand sanitizer... yikes. You'll also find shoe racks, garbage cans, gift wrap, laundry hampers, small desks & chairs, shelving, mops & brushes, office supplies and plenty of containers in all sizes (plastic, cloth and baskets) for everything imaginable. This place needs new management and some staff. I truly believe that shit flows down from the top. On a Saturday, there were two cashiers when there was a line all the way to the back of the store. The idiot I complained to said that one of the registers was down. Well, there were at least six registers up there and a couple in the back so if one was broken, what about the other 3-5 registers. What really irritated me was that two of the attendants were doing "research" or were on the phone. Seriously??! I waited 30 minutes for checkout so it's fine if you get up to the front and it's busy with everyone working. But if you see two attendants working their butts off (the two ladies) and then, the other two just wasting time (the two gents), it doesn't sit well with me. Seriously, stop your research and milling around to get through the line before you start working on customers who aren't there. I'm not in retail but it's like stating the obvious. The lady who checked me out was a total sweetheart...she was in the far register closest to the door. But I was just appalled by the horrible scheduling and lack of customer-focus from the other employees there. Poor management at this store. read more

This store is well organized and clean. The selection is excellent ... as they seem to always monitor which products are selling well. They also have displays near checkout with catchy products, as well as a discount rack in the back. Today, we came across Samantha who was very helpful. She was busy re-stocking and organizing the shelves, but noticed I was carrying around a bulky item and offered to hold it at the checkout registers. I like The Container Store because they seemingly have a container or storage unit for every conceivable issue. The pricing is always pretty solid as well. Usually, you go right in and it's easy to find things but I came in today and it looked like a tornado had hit the store. Everything was out of place. Empty boxes stacked up and tons of unopened boxes stacked in front of displays. This is just bad business practice in my opinion and a store should never be doing this sort of inventory and stocking at 11:30am. People could barely move their carts and it was hard to even see displays. On a positive note, Edgar is a very nice and helpful cashier. read more

Visited this store with the intent of browsing but if I happened to find something to organize the things on my closet floor, then even better. They have everything for organization, eg fancy boxes, food storage containers, things in which to organize an office, containers which organize laundry and even a variety of different wall hooks. It was nice to see a good amount of foot traffic inside the store especially after reading about the financial problems Macy's, Target and Toys R Us have been having. Didn't see anything to organize my closet floor. But I did see something I liked with small hooks to hang necklaces on and it also had a horizontal piece which can hold rings. The other thing I saw which caught my eye was an attractive laundry bag. I've posted pics of these.
