Love CB2 and have for years. I have numerous pieces from them for 2 bathrooms I remodeled & my Studio. Mirrors, light fixtures, hardware, decor, light bulbs (especially the gold tipped bulb), shelving & more! Recently, I popped in to get another replacement bulb and was told they were out of stock by a manager, kind of dismissive, not at all friendly. Started talking to another associate, I think her names Rachel/Raquel Boy she made this happen. Radioed the stock room got the guy to looking and sure enough they had them in stock! Hope she stays. Very friendly & helpful!! I hope the store stays too. It's wonderful to have a brick and mortar location that I can go in and visit and see things in person rather than ordering online which is what I was originally told to do about the bulbs, but I can do that with Amazon~ No Thanks, I'd rather be in person. Only buy here if you like to be lied to about delivery, love to deal with incompetent people that have no resources and or ability to make anything happen. Their computer system tells them things are in stock or in specific locations and they are not. If I was the President of this company, I would fire everyone, then fire myself. The worst customer service. I started a large order here after we moved. While my designer Michael was great, everyone else came short of competent. I returned a rug and had to call 20x to receive the full refund. They simply could not figure out how to calculate the refund correctly, and refunded me around $300 to $400 short of what I should have received. What really hurt me the most was that I had brought my toddler in to pick up a couple items. She simply held a soft pillow, and an employee came and snatched it out of her arms. Didn't even give me a chance to address it myself. I left in almost tears. I don't know why I didn't speak up then. I later brought it up to management and they didn't even apologize. Bought a simple marble side table, but CB2 turned it into a nightmare. They split the order into two separate pickups, forcing me to drive an hour twice. Then they told me my car wasn't big enough and made me come back again, all while they kept calling and texting to tell me if I don't pick it up the order will be cancel, even though a staff member had promised to hold it. When I finally returned with a bigger car, the pickup area had no signal, their WiFi wouldn't load, phones were useless, and online chat was offline. After waiting 20 minutes downstairs, I had to walk upstairs for help--only to be met with the rudest, most dismissive associate who gave excuses, refused to apologize, and even told me to "watch my tone" when I was being calm and polite. Other CB2 locations have been great, but this store is a disaster. Chaotic process, unreachable staff, and an attitude that makes you feel like you're the problem. Never coming back. read more

I LOVEEE CB2 and I especially love it because of Jose. He's helped me with most of the items I have. He's patient and sometimes I don't necessarily need his design suggestions but he just listens and he's so easy going. Recently I wanted to order a set of chairs and I called the store because I wanted to have them shipped to the store for me to pick up. The associate I spoke to said this wasn't possible and left it at that. I thought to myself Jose would always find a way to make it happen. So, naturally I emailed him and he promptly responded and made it happen. I don't know why I didn't think to write him first and save me the time of getting frustrated. Had the worse customer service experience at this location with the manager Andy. I can't believe a store like this would have someone like him be the store manager. I had originally purchased a side table online and picked it up at the Costa Mesa location. I brought it home and the color was not a good fit. Two days later, brought it back to the store to exchange for a different color and Andy helped me process the exchange. Since it was just a color change, Andy helped me return the original table then applied the credit to help me place a new order. This exchange already left me feeling weird bc 1. Online website said store has the other color in stock, but when I mentioned it, Andy immediately said they don't have it without checking and only went back to check bc I said the website shows them carrying it. Then he checks and the store doesn't carry it, he helps me place an order only to input the wrong city for the shipping address. I had to really ask him to change it. You know those situations where the person doesn't wanna help you but u ask so he finally does it. Like who does that? If you enter the city in incorrectly for an order that needs to be shipped to the client home, wouldn't you want to help and make sure the customer gets the order? Then I went to west elm and bought a side table there (honestly the people at west elm were so nice, like I'm keeping the west elm one just bc they are nicer to me). So I call the same day to the the cb2 Costa Mesa to try to cancel the order. Andy tells me on the phone that he could only issue store credit for cancellation because the system doesn't allow him to do the refund and he can't see my original order's payment method, so I needed to call customer service to get help. Mind you, this is the same man that did my exchange and saw the original order and this all happened within the same day. So I'm like fine, I call customer service the next day, the customer service people were nice but they can't refund to my credit card since the new exchange order was done by the store so they called the store for me and asked Andy to call me back to help with my order the next day. So I'm here thinking- oh great, this should get resolved soon. And guess what?! Andy never called me back. So I call the store asking for Andy. left a message with someone there, waiting for him to call me back as instructed by customer service, and you guessed it. Of course- I get no response. I can't believe this is the type of customer service I get from a place like CB2. I will be taking my business elsewhere like where I get good customer service. I don't expect special treatment but I expect respectful treatment as a paying customer. So I will not be shopping here anymore. Why would I pay a lot of money to get such bad treatment. Cb2 is great, but it's not special. It's funny that this just happened to me when I was just about to recommend cb2 pieces to a close friend who's redecorating her house. Guess this will also be something for me to talk about when people mention CB2 to me in the future. read more

I walked in and made two full laps around the store without anyone greeting me or asking what I was looking for (which I was). Came in here on 1/10/25 just to browse. Have bought a few prices of furniture here and so far very happy with the quality. I spotted some shelving with some good looking rocks glasses. I asked an associate if I could take six of them and she went off to the back. While I waited, I asked over to the registers. Startled all of a sudden when I heard, "need something?!" I turned around and a middle aged pregnant woman was standing right behind me. Uncomfortably close and with a bit of scowl. I then noticed she was wearing a badge and was an employee. Very bizarre and rude interaction. No smile or introduction at all, just snuck up behind me. Luckily I didn't have to continue the interaction because the original associate came back with my glasses and happily rung me up. Awful. Renee needs basic training on customer service and how to do her job. We were interested in purchasing 4 clear old fashioned glasses and instead of letting us purchase them off the shelf, she said she'd get new ones from the back. Fine. She took the glass we wanted and came back with 4 in a box. She rang us up, the receipt showed we bought the clear glasses bc she rang up the glass on her hand, but we get home only to find that she packed us the wrong glasses!! Did you not even check the glasses before throwing them in the bag?! I called the store and spoke to Renee directly and she told us there was nothing she could do. Her suggestion was to call customer service to "maybe" get a ship label and then once returned, I could call her back to place an order for the correct ones. Yeah right. Had such a wonderful experience shopping at this CB2 location. Monika was extremely helpful with my purchase today! She readily answered all questions and was able to offer a very appropriate alternate suggestion for furnishing one of my balconies as an additional option to consider. Monika was fabulous with helping even after making my purchase. I'd initially planned on picking up tomorrow but was able to make arrangements for pick up the same day. Note that this was a rather large outdoor couch that would need to be wrapped then brought to the lower level pick up area. After calling to inquire regarding the possibility of an earlier pick-up, Monika was able to arrange for the couch to be ready within an hour. Also wanted to share that the overall in-store experience was great too. This location is spacious and fully stocked with decorative accessories shown online as it can be helpful to actually scope them out in person. The store and furniture layout also made it very comfortable to navigate the store despite a fair number of customers simultaneously shopping. Wish I obtained her name but there was another helpful associate, who I'm guessing may have been the manager? She made sure I was maximizing the discounts available and was so pleasant to interact with. The store is immaculately maintained and everyone was welcoming and readily accessible, without the uncomfortable hovering, throughout the entire shopping experience. I recently ordered the Titus Round blackened cast aluminum side table. It was damaged from the wrapping when I got it home from the store and after putting a cell phone on top of it the black finish came off the top of the table leaving white marks. I used my decorator and she returned it to the store, asking for a manager. The manager was very rude to her and said we would have to pay a fee to order a new one (restocking as we loved the table and did not save the box) and she would not give us a credit to return it! The store did not give the decorator her discount and charged her the full price which had been reduced from $399 to $319.20. Neither she nor I will ever purchase anything from this company again that does not stand by its products and has sells defective merchandise!! BE WARE!!! read more

I really like the items this brand sells but this particular location is really sloppy with pick up orders. More than once they have either given me the wrong item or items were missing from my order. Of course you don't find out till you arrive home and their policy does nothing for the inconvenience. I'm stuck having to drive 1hr round trip because an employee didn't take the extra moment to double check what they're placing in the bag. They should have a person that double checks the inventory before pick up since the original person isn't thorough. It would help the customer tremendously in wasted time and ridiculous gas prices for being inconvenienced having to waste time driving back. I also think the managers need to be more accountable to help the customers with discounts or compensation for their mistakes because let's be honest these items aren't exactly the cheapest and it's the employees under those managers who are causing the issues. read more

Whether we're shopping or just browsing for new decorative items the staff has been warm, friendly and very helpful. They get and understand how to keep and retain one's business through outstanding customer service. This week we were in searching for new accessories for our Bathroom sinks. Everyone was busy with other customers, but Emily found a way to give us the help we needed. Pleasant, kind and caring made us feel very welcomed. Just opened on December 8, 2017! Woo! When I first saw the store, I honestly thought "why would you need a Crate & Barrel little brother next to the two story original?! I absentmindedly picked up a pretty wire diamond ornament and glanced at the price and was surprised to find it was only THREE dollars! Well, I'll be damned for judging a book by its embossed vegan leather cover. I kicked up my heels and started looking around. If you take the time to comb through the store, you'll find a lot of very affordable housewares and fun items...and LOTS on sale! I ended up buying a bunch of random appetizer plates; I love the mismatched randomness! Each were under $5 each and one was under $3 after the 25% off sale offer. I also found these great matte gold jumbo clips which were advertised as photo holders but I think can be very versatile for hanging/holding items. The cashier uses them for hand towels. So whimsical and cute! Ok. I'm sold. I'll be back again! P.s. The complimentary hot cocoa bar is a nice touch. It was so velvety smooth that I had to ask what the mix was. BUYER BEWARE! I ordered the Harper dining room table in Oct 2022 as soon as we moved-in because I know the supply chain was a problem. They said it would arrive in 6 months later in March 2023. I even financed it and paid it off, (charging me $50 in interest each month!) I was so excited last week to get it. They told me when it arrived at the warehouse the marble was cracked, AND the metal legs were damaged. I saw on yelp what there were many customers unhappy and photos of their marble table arriving damaged. So I would try my luck on the next delivery the following week, this time the delivery made it to my house and when they opened the box it was damaged again!. The marble must be so thin that they can't seem to get it here. Talk about a cheap rip off of $2200.00!!!! I still have no table. (BTW: Several of these photos of the Harper damaged table from other customers have been deleted in the months I have waiting to receive this table. recently had the worse experience at CB2, since I started dealing with them, Victor the manager was so unprofessional and rude in his dealing with us, It was evident from the moment I approached him that he had no interest in providing a positive experience or even basic curtsy Victor not only was unhelpful, but he also seemed annoyed by my inquiries. He answered my questions with a condescending tone and an air of superiority, as if my presence was an inconvenience to him. His dismissive attitude made me feel unwelcome and discouraged me from exploring the store further or making any purchase. It was bad to see someone in a customer-facing role display such a lack of professionalism or even a simple smile In a customer-facing business, the role of a manager should be to ensure that customers have a positive experience, but Victor failed miserably. I left the store feeling frustrated, disrespected, and with no intention of returning or recommending the store to others I strongly urge the store to reevaluate their customer service practices to ensure that future customers do not have to endure a similar disappointment, even though I will make sure to spread that review everywhere . read more

Zero stars. Trying to get money back for a purchase that hasn't shipped. It's been over 4 days. CB2 corporate says it's up to the store but the store says to call CB2 Corp cust sevice. It's going in circles and they still have my $2,000. A manager just says all the typical corporate stuff but won't give a date when the refund will be issued and does nothing except to read notes from the computer. At one point I was told it would be resolved in 24-48 hours but after 48 hours it's still not resolved and no sign of when I will get my money back. Two thumbs down. read more

I am incredibly disappointed in my recent experiences with CB2/Crate and Barrel. While their furniture is beautiful, I cannot recommend that anyone purchase anything from this company. Here is why: I ordered a marble table from CB2 back in April of 2020. I ordered it knowing it was back ordered until May/June. No problem, I can wait for this awesome table. After 2 months of waiting, I was able to successfully schedule a delivery for the item. As a side note, they claim you can schedule a delivery time online, that is a lie. Something is wrong with their e-scheduler on their site, thus forcing you to call them in order to schedule a simple delivery. This normally wouldn't be a big deal, but for the fact that it takes at least an hour to get someone on the phone to do something that should take 2 minutes online. Fast forward to mid-June, my table is delivered on the date we set. As the delivery men are assembling the tabletop to its base, they unfortunately end up cracking the marble from edge to edge. Not a big deal, things happen. While the delivery guys are there, someone from CB2 calls me and assures me someone will be in contact with me shortly to set a delivery time to get me a replacement part. That phone call never came. I waited 2 weeks to hear from them. Nothing. So I called them, waited for another hour to speak to someone, and was surprised to find that the replacement tabletop was never ordered. NEVER ORDERED. To add insult to injury, the replacement part was back ordered and wouldn't be in stock until AUGUST. I was told that it was impossible for me to get the replacement part sooner than that. Now I'm waiting until August for a table that I ordered in April. Mind you, I was charged for the full purchase price of the table and had already purchased 8 chairs to match the table. CB2 had no problem taking my money and making me wait to get the order fulfilled. Nonetheless, I decided to wait it out. Fast forward to today. The earliest CB2 can schedule the delivery for the replacement tabletop (for an item that was in stock in August) is 9/4. I clear my work schedule and delay my vacation to be at home for this delivery between 10:30-12:30. The delivery never shows up. Once again, I have to pick up the phone and contact CB2. Apparently the replacement table top was cracked/broken and that's why it was not delivered. I did not receive a single notification from CB2 informing me of this. No call, no text, no email. NOTHING. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper. I've spent the better part of my Friday being passed around to different levels of customer service dealing with this fiasco. No one has been helpful and I've been met with continued, utter incompetence. My experience has been unacceptable on so many levels. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more

I have been receiving CB2 catalogs for years and never been to an actual store yet!! I had so much fun obsessing over their beautiful furniture pieces! A young fashionable woman greeted me and assisted me throughout the store. Her name was Kelsie! She was so sweet and nice. I took my time and took lots of Instagram videos!!! I found the perfect size mug for soups and desserts! It's a large pale pink mug for $4.95. Kelsie brought me a new one from the back! How thoughtful!!! They have lots of gift ideas!!! I love everything about the store but the fabric items pill sooooooo badly. I have bought a few fabric furniture pieces and the quality is just not there. It's shocking since you're willing to fish out good money for quality items. My bed frame especially is pilling so badly since it's thick fabric ruffing. I've had it for 5ish years and it started pillling 18 months in. The same thing happened to my sisters bed which she purchased less than two years ago. You can buy anything here minus the fabric items and def stay away from fabric bed frames. read more

I am very torn on my feelings towards CB2. I understand that in the Covid world we are having issues with shipments and logistic issues, but I don't feel that is an excuse for how unprofessionally, and inefficiently this was handled. In October of 2020 I placed an order for a gold crimped wardrobe and a few Rouka dining room chairs. On the day of delivery they called to tell us the wardrobe was damaged during shipment and wasn't in the condition to be delivered to our home. We reset our delivery date almost a month later and when the wardrobe was delivered it was missing the handle hardware. When calling the warehouse and CB2 store they told us that they do not ship just the hardware and they only ship complete units... which, fine, it was inconvenient, but the doors themselves were screwed on crooked anyway so replacing made more sense, and no real choice in the matter. Flash forward a month and this handless, wonky wardrobe in still sitting in our kitchen, and after staring at it for the last 2 months I am noticing every imperfection, there is a scratch on the right door near the bottom, the doors don't line up, and the fact that it has been living rent free in our home and I fear that it has squatters rights. During this time we also ordered the gold crimped dresser, and when it was supposed to be delivered in late January (originally set for mid-Dec) they were aiming to have a replacement wardrobe arrive. On the day of delivery they only send the hardware, and when delivering the dresser there is a huge gash in the front of it and the gold crimp around the handles is cracked and broken. I guess this one snuck past their quality assurance team. They install the handles, tried to fix the crooked doors but made them worse, and inform us that we will need to set up a new delivery time for the dresser. I speak with the customer service team to try to get some answers for these issues. They tell me that we are back ordered on the wardrobe and it would take until March to get a new one, and the dresser is backordered as well and will be near the same time. Unsatisfied with that answer I call the CB2 store and speak with 2 different managers to assist me. They tell me that they will try to expedite the replacement and see if they can pull some strings. During this time I get exhausted with the idea of the wardrobe, I have built so much animosity for this pile of wood that I just want it gone. However thankfully they are able to schedule a delivery of the dresser by mid-February. They pick up the wardrobe and deliver the dresser. The dresser looks great, but for $1000 you would expect better hardware, and the drawers themselves are significantly smaller than the outside dimensions so it's a bit of a letdown. I am sure $10 more would buy soft closing drawers, but I guess if your warehouse team is playing football with your inventory you probably can't spend the extra money for the customers' sake. During this process the manager told me that we should let the dust settle and they will find a way to compensate me for the trouble and headache of this whole experience and they would make it right. To add more flavor to the story we also ordered a horseshoe table that is falling apart from the bottom and we were expecting a replacement by mid March (and here we are with no word-, and we also placed an order for a lotion dispenser that took almost 3 months to arrive when it wasn't listed as backordered at the time of purchase. After the dresser was replaced, and the wardrobe was returned, I spoke with the manager and she offered me a 15%-20% discount on my next order. If that doesn't scream middle finger for the trouble I don't know what does. Inconvenience aside, I guess this was a firm lesson in fool me once, shame on you, fool me 3 or 4 times, I really should have known better. read more

I went in to purchase a couple things and the sales associates were super helpful- they even gave me a lot of design tips and ideas. Only thing is I once called and I was put on hold for 20 minutes. I hung up because I was over it. I called again maybe after 30 minutes and was again put on hold for forever. Then when the lady answered...she did not sound very professional. Purchased a wall mirror that had to be ordered. Estimated delivery is late August or early September. Store asked for full payment however receipt states "for out of stock items, we require a 50% deposit to reserve incoming inventory, when entire order is in stock ready for delivery, you will be automatically be charged the remaining balance due. When I brought this to the managers attention I was told this policy applies to furniture and not decor, which is not stated anywhere on receipt. Store/company does not honor their written policies so not sure what is policy and what is not. In closing, buyer beware of this store. Disappointing affiliation with Crate and Barrel. read more
