This consignment store has lots and lots of beautiful furniture, pillows and lighting. Not inexpensive but worth a look.

Let me start by saying that I should have done a review a while ago for Kitty and the Great Ladies, who work there at both locations! I have furnished three different homes with her great consignment pieces, The piece I get from them are of such high quality! I'm always bummed when I do not see Kitty there when I come to town cause I live in a different state. Her recommendations and her eye for design are remarkable, and I do buy everything she suggests because she never misleads me, and she's always on target when she suggests something. Nice, curated selection of vintage and secondhand furniture and home decor. Some things to be aware of: -Items are on the pricier side. The proprietors know the value of what they're selling and you'll be hard pressed to find a true 'deal' here - There are not many antiques. The selection leans mostly toward secondhand contemporary goods with some vintage for good measure -They have things for all tastes, but especially have an extensive selection of nautical/beachy decor -There's a nice little stash of fabric remnants. You may be able to snag a yard or two of designer fabric for cheap if you're lucky. read more

I would never recommend a place like this. I dropped off items to sell. They told me they were taking 60% and I would get 40%. Then I show up to pick up my check for the items being sold and they told me they would have to mail the check out the following month, after I had initially requested the check to be picked up in person instead. The rude woman behind the counter also mentioned that they cleaned the chairs professionally when I had brought them in already professionally steam cleaned. They then proceeded to tell me that they sold the chairs for cash which is another 5% off for me, which is only 35% profit for me.On top of that I'm unable to pick up my money as I requested. Not to mention old rude b!tche$ working behind the counter with a $h!tty attitude as if I was an inconvenience to their day. $2000 worth of chairs and receiving $343 . read more

The prices are high. Many of the items are outdated. The sales representatives can be overbearing and difficult to work with if you have a problem or an issue. Be aware that some of the items are not fully disclosed on providence or true value. Staff more than willing to exploit both customers and those who have items in the store. Because they're only about 1/2 mile apart and both operate in the same space (consignment furnishings) I have to compare this place to its competitor, Lido Consignment Gallery and here's how it shakes down: If you're even thinking of buying used furnishings, go here first. Then run down the road to Lido Consignments and see if they have anything comparable. If they do, I'd wager it's 1/3 the price. If they don't, then run on back here and spend away. I had the exact same experience as so many other sellers. The first time I brought them stuff went fine, but since then kitty has been difficult & RUDE! I spent several hundred dollars having items moved up there only to have to have them picked back up after I tried to discuss pricing with her. Because I didn't agree with items she said were "damaged" (they weren't; it was intentional and how they are made) she just told me to come get my stuff. She then ignored every single email I sent trying to coordinate the pickup. I've never once felt welcomed in any of the locations over the last 5 years. And a 60/40 split (60 to them) is outrageous! read more

A small consignment furniture store with a little bit of everything. They tend to have more antique stuff but everything seems to be of really good quality. Great collection of lamp shades and a small area of old drawer pulls and such (sort of a mini Restoration Hardware). The ladies working here are nice, helpful, and friendly. read more

Employees and owner have poor communication skills. 60/40 commission split which is understandable. Listing price for our items was discussed in email prior to item drop off. After I took the time to bring our pieces over they call me 2 days later telling me they can't sell for the previously discussed prices. Had to spend another day going back up to pick my pieces back up and the employee acted like I inconvenienced HER... Let me know if you need trendy rattan counter stools 60% off haha! read more

My issue with The Find is: They stick to the 50-50 split, and would rather NOT sell an item for a lower commission. I put a nice, unused table at the Newport store, and told them I wanted $200 firm. This required them to sell it for $400, which is considered high. But if someone wants to buy it at $350... why can't they take 150 profit?? As soon as I finished doing the forms someone walked in and said "Oh, It's gorgeous!!" and she offered $350 for it. Sure enough -- no sale, unless I'm willing to take less. So The Find doesn't want to make $150 for less than 5 minutes of work. They had to do nothing -- an offer was right there the first minute!!! Still no. THAT'S BAD BUSINESS SENSE read more

I have spent a lot $$$. here over the years, yet they never remember me. Kitty has no clue. Otherwise, the place is full of great treasure, some overpriced, some on track. They don't negotiate, and if you ask, they get all angry. A polite no would suffice. Note that you do want to dress well when you are planning to stop by, or the stink eye is palpable. Snooty. If there were 0 stars that is what I would check, please review this before taking any thing to the Find, I took 2 new RH leather library chairs , paid 1600.00 each, she priced them at 800.00 each they sold in 2 weeks in February 2018, it is now August 8th I am still not paid, and they are saying they only owe me 600.00. It's a 60/40 split , 60 to them. I paid to have these delivered I did not sign a 60/ 40. Agreement, who would? They have said they sent checks to wrong address sent checks to right address , but nothing. The Find in Newport Beach and their other shop on Superior in Costa Mesa is full of wonderful surprises. Fabulous artwork, great furniture and home accessories. VERY COOL PLACE!!!! Ok. How many cool places are there that are still ran by mom and daughter and that have a huge black (friendly) dog walking the store. It's truley like an adventure in there. The lovely ladies which work at this charming, mid-century-esque consignment experience have been so consistently kind to me and beyond helpful. Because these women are passionate about creating new spaces and fabulous interior designs, 'The Find' is something more than a typical consignment establishment and limits on a creative collaboration. The amounts and discounts are also noteworthy. There's an abundance of consignment stores in this area but all seem a bit lowbrow with comically highbrow prices.
