I love the new layout of this store and I am always finding something great here - EVERY VISIT! Everything I buy here is always in PRISTINE condition so I give praise to the employees who put in the work to buy items in excellent condition! You never know what you will find as the inventory changes daily. This visit I purchased a perfect pair of vintage Levi's and a pair of gorgeous Vince loafers. See you soon! read more

My coworker recommended this place so I got off early and decided to check it out. To my surprise, I actually found something. This isn't the type of store i would usually shop at cuz you really need to have the time to search for things, but i actually got 2 tops! And one of them was brand new and it was a good brand too. I was so happy i went. I might even drop off some of my clothes to be sold too. read more

I work in retail and I can tell the staff here actually loves their job and is doing it with a smile, super friendly extra "Thank you" for that. I only came to sell two times but both times i left with cash and at least three items, lol, they have great selection of different brands and styles. Very satisfied with value of this experience. Fitting room staff was friendly tooooooo! They have GEM items. I did not take pictures but loved everything. read more

Crossroads Trading Co is a great 2nd-hand/consignment store. It is one of the bigger ones in the area and it's also organized really well. For me, going into a store that is organized well is always really important, especially one with so much merchandise. I know when it comes to selling here, they are pretty particular and I believe you can find some of the styles they're looking for online. Unless you have a really high end item to put on consignment, I wouldn't expect to make too much by selling your clothes here. The better way is probably to trade for a store credit. I always find some treasure when I come visit! Can't wait til next time I'm in the area! read more

First time ever here at Crossroads Trading, for some reason, I thought this was like a regular thrift shop, but it's not! Went in and Was sort of disappointed it was just clothing and shoes for the most part, BUT Then.... I found a really cool pair of vintage leather Red Wings, and lo and behold, they were 10.5 ! And even more surprisingly to me, they were within my price range. Needless to say, the boots were tried on, and a moment later I was at the register purchasing them. ...gave this review four stars, but I'm wondering if it should be five. Customer service was good, the line for purchases was short, would I go back there? Definitely. read more

It's always a pleasure to shop and sell clothes here. The staff is very friendly and the buyers are very knowledgeable. I highly recommend checking it out. read more

I was so excited to try this place because I have a friend that buys all of her clothes from there. However, the price everything is marked up to the point. It doesn't feel like you're getting a really good deal and I was just looking for some places where I walked out with nothing bunch of people friendly in the store was organized. Prices for that I could afford to shop there. read more

Honestly really nice selection of clothing & shoes here! I came on a weekday morning and it was moderately busy, but easy to get a fitting room and walk around. All of the girls who helped me today at the fitting room area were super friendly!! Gabbi rang me up and she's a sweetie + was equally excited about my finds today as I was feeling so that was really awesome LOL I'll definitely come back in a few weeks * also parking is easy, but there are a lot of 30 min spots so just be careful :) read more

I came here to sell several bags of clothing, shoes, and accessories. Most items were gently used (many worn only once or twice), well cared for, and from recognizable brands. Nothing was accepted. I understand resale stores buy selectively and by season that part isn't the issue. The problem was how the items were evaluated. The review felt rushed and overly generalized, as if a few pieces were used to judge everything without a proper look. There also seemed to be limited experience recognizing quality, including higher-value items like a genuine leather business bag. What makes this confusing is that the store's current inventory does not reflect the same standards they claim to require. Much of what is for sale is comparable or lower in quality than what I brought in. Overall, this was a waste of time. If you're looking to sell good-condition items, you may want to donate instead or go to a resale business with clearer criteria and more knowledgeable staff. read more

What a wonderful experience!!! The staff is the absolute best especially Brie, Karlisa, Alex, and Luke. I've been shopping every location in Southern California for years and their curation is by far the best! Excellent customer service, value, and quality choices. Everytime I've gone in there the EMPLOYEES have been so God awful and rude. Always chit chatting at the door to the dressing room, never actually speak/make eye contact with you, etc. etc. I try to be as polite as possible but they make it really dang hard. read more

I came in Friday evening 1/23 and had a very bad experience, which is surprising because my prior experiences have been great. Beforehand, I called to ask if they had a bag limit (they don't). My closet purge was way overdue, so I had 3 rolling luggages that I brought in. Immediately when I entered, the vibe was off. The night crew was all males and they had very poor customer service! The manager was fine, but the two buyers could not stop rolling their eyes to eachother, looking super annoyed I brought in 3 suitcases. They would constantly look at eachother, then me, like speaking to eachother telepathically, probably cursing me out silently for making their jobs harder. The two buyers was a Latino guy with longer hair and facial piercings, and a white skinny tall guy with longer hair. Here's the thing, I know it's a lot to sift through and it's not what you wanna be doing on a Friday night, but I drove far to get here and I'm not going to be bringing 2 bags at a time. It's also not my fault they don't have a bag limit. It was a Friday night and the store was DEAD mind you. This was so unlike my previous experiences a year+ ago, the crew working was either mixed gender or girls and they have always been so cheerful even when I brought in 3 luggages. I felt like such a bother! The next day, I brought all 3 of those luggages to Buffalo Exchange in Fullerton and I guess and I was being overly accommodating helping them put the clothes back into my luggage, hovering and making their buying experience easier however I could. The buyer was a bit confused, and was wondering if I was sorting the clothes she passed on to donate. I said no Id take everything back, Im just helping her pack up the clothes again because I know it's a lot of stuff, and she was like "Oh I've seen more! Don't worry at all, I can put the stuff back it's literally part of my job." This was on a Saturday afternoon when they were really busy mind you! Its crazy how the previous night's experience at Crossroads made me feel self conscious about being a bother, but in fact its THEM that is the problem. They are horribly lacking customer service skills and really should try harder to suppress their irritation (its a skill you must have in that industry). I wouldn't have written this review, but my great selling experience at Buffalo Exchange was a night and day difference. I hope they get some friendlier staff on board. read more

Crossroads Trading - That lame store... warning... be with your receipt bc they won't remember or try to. Excuses, and being right is what they care about. - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

Crossroads is one of my favorite places to look for clothes but it can be difficult navigating with two toddlers. In my last visit to the Costa Mesa Crossroads (probably 2 months ago) a kind employee at the register named Nathan rang up my purchases. He was kind, warm and genuine. Today I went back and was helped by Nathan again at the fitting room. I bring a level of chaos with me (kids & strollers)and Nathan went above and beyond, opening doors, offering to help in any way, and being so kind went I told him nothing was a good fit today. I was so touched and wanted to share my experience so here I am! If Nathan ever sees this, truly thank you read more

The BEST Crossroads location I've been to sell clothes!! The staff here is so friendly and take their time to view/consider each piece of clothing. The last time I came, they bought half of the items I brought in which is pretty good! Highly recommend this location read more

I took 4 bags of clothes and shoes to this location. The buyer didn't accept anything. Most of what I brought in was gently used Abercrombie, American Eagle, Zara, Steve Madden, Express, etc. But he only pointed out the few pieces (6) from target/shein as representative of everything I brought in, saying it would be difficult to sell. I had a couple NWTs as well that weren't accepted. This would have been fine, I understand it might not be what they're looking for. But when I was browsing their selection, they are selling jackets where the pleather is peeling off of it. I don't understand how all the clothes I brought, including the new basic cardigans, were not accepted, but quality like this was on the floor. On the bright side, the buyer was nice and gave me a coupon. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. Inventory sucks. Wasted an hour & a half of my time for 15$. I had never worn oner, alo & lulu lemon & much more. Never going here again. This crossroads was literally amazing. Ryhan (I think that's how it's spelled) IS A GIRL'S GIRL. She was looking out for me especially when I saw an item on hold. And when person holding didn't come in, she immediately held it for me. She was so sweet and UGH TRULY. I CANT THANK HER ENOUGH. Absolutely shopping here again, she made the experience. I go to a lot of crossroads as they're my main shopping spot. This location is really big and they have lots to look through. Prices were pretty high on some items which is disappointing but they had a good selection overall and plenty of dressing rooms. It was busy but they have lots of staff to help out. One of the better crossroads I've visited I'd say in terms of quality of selection other than the prices being a bit high. Some of the items in there were really really worn just because it's a brand name it shouldn't mean they should be charging so high for it. read more

I made the unfortunate mistake of returning to this location this week to give selling to the store another try. Yesterday a very professional and knowledgeable buyer named Gen helped me. He knows his brands and I asked him what the store needed. He told me athletic wear, bigger size pants, bathing suits, and shoes. I returned the next day with athleta, lululemon, etc. I checked all the clothing and carefully selected items some new. I had tags on multiple pieces and some leggings I never wore. I waited two hours and when my name was called I asked if Gen could help me. I was informed it would be another two hours if I waited. So I respectfully proceeded to have this Kaleisa person help me. She was rude. She had a tone and facial expressions and made sure to tell me store policy is you cannot ask for an associate to help you. It was because I told Gen I would be back with items he said the store needed. I was even fine with the fact she only wanted one item. I did wait two hours and then she just made a point to make me feel like I did something wrong in asking for him to help me and I do not appreciate your staff treating me this way. She was rude and emotional when I told her she had a tone and was being disrespectful in the way she was servicing me. I simply asked her why my items were not okay and she tells me I should go look at the racks and see how full they were. But not in a nice way. More like I offended her. Look I am a corporate level finance person selling my items. Not a bebop crop top wearing 20 something year old. You have all ages and types shopping in your store. I lost a bunch of weight and am cleaning out my closet. Not there to sell items I wore multiple times. Your buyers should not be fixated on what their gender and age group. Do better and respect my time. And look at hiring higher caliber people and grow your business. I cannot tell you how frustrated I feel as my time is money too! You guys could be so much better. read more

Please note they don't take or sell kids clothing which would be a huge opportunity for them. Went to try and sell a few high end items that I was no longer using. They swifter through them and didn't buy any but that is because they only look for clothing that season (I guess I get it but I not likely to see fall clothes when I would wear them). The waitlist is a scam. They ask you to get there in the 15 min window, check you in and make sure you wait for another hour. The service was horrible- when speaking to the girl to ask if I should bring the clothes back in the summer, I got a very vague answer that didn't answer my question. Looked through their stuff - it's okay! Will not return to sell or buy...definitely not worth it! read more

Let me start by saying I started my resell journey at Uptown Cheapskate in El toro. Horrible experience. Rude and denied my bag of clothing without even looking at it. Mind you I had higher end items brand new with tags. Employee literally took 30 second on a giant trash bag and said no. She complained first I had too much stuff then took nothing. I came to Crossroads and was met with a smile. The process was flawless. Britney was so helpful and honest start to finish. They took EVERY SINGLE ITEM I brought in AND consigned and item so I could get paid more. I also purchased $180 in new things, left with $280. Every person working was happy, helpful and kind, even with the grumpy people who came in. Bravo Crossroads. Keep up the great work! read more

Love this place! Come at least 15-20 mins. before they open if you want to sell your clothes and wait for them. A nice line starts outside and people sit along the wall waiting for them to open. Done forget to check their website for the types of clothes they're accepting. I need to do a better job of checking that before I clean my closet! I would probably have more success around selling if I did. I never just take the cash and always prefer to collect the credit. Now, it's even better because they got rid of merchandise credit cards and it's all digital in your account across stores! This location is my favorite. I haven't purchased anything, have only sold items. I like that, unlike other local consignment shops, you check in on an iPad with your number and they text when it's your turn & you have 15 minutes to return before losing your spot. No waiting in a line. You can shop, the center has many stores, coffee/food shops, etc. Buyers vary drastically. My son and his girlfriend went recently to bring their own stuff (they too felt that it was a fairly positive experience) and I threw in a few things with my son they had passed on last time (a week prior) but bought this time! I haven't purchased anything (yet) but I do think they have a good selection. And there's always buyers and sellers any time a day I go. read more

The service is absolutely horrible because the staff is rude when asking them questions. The selection is pretty awesome been my second time there. And the value of the stuff is expensive to be honest but I understand why. There are so many cute things to see.vi bought a Michael Korss purse for 30 dollars and ii couldn't believe it . Honestly, I have much better luck when I sell by mail here. I knew that they probably would not take much of my stuff at this particular location but I was in the area so I figured why not. Roaming around the store while I waited I paid close attention to price points on items similar to what I brought in. Most of the items were far from recent in my opinion and priced high for what they were. Over $20 for a well worn Madewell flannel that was over 4 years old? (sometimes you can see the season and year the item is from on the inside tag) Any way, from my entire bag they selected only three items all of which were new with tags and less than a year old. They offered me $30 store credit or $17 as a cash out option for a Zara coat, J. Crew top, and J. Crew silk skirt. I kindly said no thank you. I get they need to make a profit but man... read more

I have been to Crossroads on several previous occasions -- to purchase items, but had never "sold" anything there, and was; therefore, not certain how "smoothly" everything would go. Their "App" allowed for me to establish my "place in line" -- however, depending on the number of other individuals wanting to "sell" (at the same time) -- the "wait period" can sometimes be an hour. When traffic backed up -- I called and spoke to BREE (to let her know I could be 15 minutes late), who "found" my "slot" and said that she would "do her best" to get me "in" -- without having to call and make a "New Appointment." When I arrived (about 12 minutes "late") -- MAKIAH assisted me the moment I walked through the door (BREE had given her my message) -- and I was "Beyond Ecstatic" with her friendly demeanor, professionalism, and ability to see the value in my items and offer me "fair" offers. RYLEY -- who was MAKIAH's supervisor also assisted in a couple of instances with expediting the process -- and approving MAKIAH's "offers." All-in-All -- BREE, MAKIAH, and RYLEY made my experience at Crossroads Trading extremely enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Crossroads Trading to anyone who is Looking for a place to help with turning hidden treasure into gold (from your closet) -- but also, for those who are looking for a most unique gift for a family member or loved one. Crossroads is literally my QUEEEN. I come like 10 times a month lol. It's the only place I buy clothing. They have bought a lot from me. Sometimes they don't accept certain things but it's understandable if certain items aren't very "in style" or not of high quality or in season. Sometimes it also depends on the person! I love Crossroads and I make everyone go here with me and they love it too. The workers are almost always so kind and helpful. Prices are usually very good. I feel like I always find the best deals, the Crossroads Gods are on my side. Sometimes you'll find fast fashion upsold but it's rare. They do their best to accept quality pieces.
