A friend came to the area for dinner from NJ. I live in the area but socialize much. We picked this place. Boy am I sorry that I have never tried it before!! It is soooo good. Have recommended this place to everyone. Food is fantastic!!! read more

Just finished our meal. Everything was delicious and well made. Place has a nice ambiance and a good variety, pizza, seafood, pasta and more. Bar seems nice too, although small. Highly recommended read more

This restaurant is in Little Italy in the Bronx, the food tasted great and the staff were very nice. I would definitely recommend for a wonderful night out. read more

Chicken Francese is too oily. The lemon butter sauce, just so-so. Can you believe that the Free bread and dipping sauce are the best thing in my meal? But the environment here is quite good. read more

If you like good service friendly people this place is for you. They have wonderful food. i tried just about everything on their menu and yet to dislike. I would recommend to anyone. read more

I have gone here twice and each time was great. The most recent visit was in June for my husband b-day. So relaxed and the service was amazing./ The only reason why it didn't get all five stars was that, I though my main dish was a little salty. The sangria was the best. Rice balls really good. All in all a great backyard for friends to get together for drinks and a relaxing time. We def recommend for a good time. read more

Been here a few times great food great drinks the service is top notch the place is nice if want good food for a great price

I went on Saturday with my wife and some friends. I went to the front desk at 6:45 that was my time for dinner. They did not have my table ready So they got me a different ok I understand. The cups where DIRTY NASTY. The waiter was the worse looked like he did not care about nothing. The Food was ok. We sit down at 6:45pm and we got our dinner at 7:45pm. We did not know what was going on until the Head waiter came and said sorry for the long wait. My wife asked for the bread that they serve (great bread.) 3 times Until again the Head Waiter came to save the day. She was AWESOME. I will not be going back. read more

Came here for a couple drinks this past weekend it was alittle crowded but the food is worth it

I went with my 18 year old niece (a college student at nearby Fordham), and my 14 year old son. Everyone devoured their food.! The pizzas were great and my pasta was fantastic! If you're in that neck of the woods I highly recommend it. The next time I go back to visit her at school we will definitely return to Michaelangelo's. read more

This place is wonderful absolutely the best. I have been here MANY times with many friends and I have never been disappointed. The service is wonderful, the food is great and they always have new specials, and you have to try their house red wine its called Montepulciano. This is the only place I have ever been to that the staff remembers my orders and my favorite wine. Also they are always willing to accommodate their customers anyway they can. No I don't work there and no I don't own the place I am just one of their many customers. Their staff is excellent like I already said but I have to shout out Patrick because he is the best. I always leave there eating and spending more than I planned too. By the way N.Y. is not one of my favorite places to live I kind of really do not like it here that much. I can tolerate it mainly because I am just going to school and I will be leaving soon; but this restaurant makes living here allot better. You cannot leave this state without going here at least once. I almost forgot the atmosphere and general feeling in the restaurant is very tropical you feel like you are on vacation they have these wonderful couch seats and chairs for you serious types. It is very open and the entire restaurant has a very outdoor tropical feel they even have 2 outdoor sections, a bar, a VIP area, and a downstairs area which is usually reserved by their customers for parties and celebrations. This place will blow you away and by the way I am not even a member of yelp I just signed up to write this review. Mainly due to the one negative review of this wonderful restaurant by a ford-ham student if you didn't read it yet don't bother. read more

The only reason they have any stars at all is because of their buffalo pizza, which was seriously good, but everything else was a disappointment. Their drinks couldnt make my 80 year old grandmother tipsy if we tried. The service was horrible and unorganized, and it was difficult to just have someone listen to your order, even after 20 minutes. Not coming back again. read more

Had a horrible experience today. Dr ordered lunch for our office and they forgot part of the order. We called them and they insisted that we did not order all those dishes. Which we did because we took individual orders from each co-worker. They are not professionals will never order from them again and there food is not that great. Very bad business people. Who ever owns the place should look into who is running there resturant for them. They lost our business. read more

I love this place. The decor and ambience are lovely and the food and wine are good as well. The staff is VERY friendly and make you feel at ease and welcomed. I have had the cold antipasto, steak, eggplant rollatini and are all good. I had the house merlot and it was very good. I also had a bottle of top hat, that one I wasn't crazy about but overall thumbs up for sure. My favorite restaurant. read more

Beautiful restaurant! My husband and I have declared this our little spot, lol. Amazing food and service!

We really enjoyed this restaurant. Had dinner in the enclosed garden area in the back. Very cozy and pretty. Also very spacious seating. Great for families or a romantic evening. Ordered the margarita brick oven pizza. Very tasty. Ordered the MichaelAngelo's heart healthy pasta. It was very good made with spinach and broccoli. The roasted garlic in the dish was delicious. Also we were very happy with our side dish of meatballs. Had the white sangria which was one of the best I ever had. Waitstaff was very attentive. We will definitely will be going back!! read more

Ordered delivery from here a couple times and this is the best pizza around the Bronx and it is always very good and fresh! Taste just like authentic pizza, not that fast food pizza read more

The food here is very tasty--the rigatoni bolognese and penne vodka are especially good. But the best part of the meal is probably the tomato and oil dipping sauce that comes with the bread. Absolutely delicious. The back covered seating area is very pleasant, although can get a little loud when full. read more

We had a wonderful lunch in Michaelangelo's Little Italy. Staff was attentive and fun. Adequate wine list and good menu. Delighted with the Pizza Margherita and the lamb and chicken. The prices very very reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a family dinner. read more

Wow, What a wonderful surprise! Looking for a place to celebrate our son's 21st birthday and we couldn't have been happier. The ambiance, the service, and most importantly the food, we will be back! read more

3 stars only because food was good, dessert could've been better. The service on the other hand was bad. They were very inattentive. The server messed up the order and food arrived before our drinks even came, how is that possible? Maybe we just had bad luck with the server. read more

My colleagues and I go for happy hour at Michaelangelo's ALL THE TIME. It's been our go-to for years. We went there today and it's under new management. We were extremely uncomfortable with the way the new manager was treating the wait staff. Several times he yelled at them in the middle of the bar area and at one point the manager personally delivered one friend's pizza and touched her inappropriately in the process. Our waiter, clearly under a lot of unnecessary pressure, was very friendly, especially considering the circumstances in which he was working. However, one of my friends and I both ordered salads and they never came. We waited for 45 minutes. My friend also ordered an ice coffee and it didn't come and she reminded the waiter and he promised that he would bring it right away but it still never came. My other friend ordered a pizza and it also never came. Eventually we asked for the check because we were so uncomfortable with the way the manager was speaking to the staff so we wanted to leave. The check included all the items we never got and when we asked them to be removed, our waiter told the manager that the salads were being made. He waved his hand and told the waiter to shut up. It's clear that he is alwavery abusive to his staff. As we were leaving, one of my friends told him that we have been coming for there for years but we don't want to anymore because of the way he was talking to his staff. He became confrontational and asked what he was even saying to them. I jumped in and reminded him that he told our waiter to shut up. He said, "well they need to shut up." Then we left. We went to another bar and a bit later someone else approached us and told us that the manager fired the waiter as soon as we left. We plan to follow up with the owner. That manager needs to be terminated immediately. read more

Last night was my first night at Michealangelo and the experience was great. I placed my reservation thru yelp but it seemed like they didn't receive it nonetheless they promptly found me a table. The lady offered to take hang my coat for me and waiter was super attentive. The meals where wonderful. I had a heart healthy pasta which was great. Besides the quality of the food, what matters most to me is feel welcomed and receiving a great service and that's exactly what I found at this place. The waiter was generous enough to help me put on my coat when I was leaving and although I'm totally capable of doing that myself, the gesture was well appreciated. Additionally this place has a more upbeat atmosphere compared to other places that are more quiet and intimate like for a dinner en "tete a tete". I didn't go to the bar but there is one and it seems great from a far. I highly recommend this place and if the service doesn't change they'll be seeing a lot more me there. read more

Was really excited to have some yummy Italian food... Unfortunately it was the worst food I've had in a while. The stuffed mushrooms tasted like they were from a jar and as I believe were also undercooked. The veal was all chewy and hard with over cooked tasteless veggies so I just had to return it... The lasagna I decided to go with for a second attempt was also a disaster, the tomato sauce tasted exactly like it came out of a tin can. I had heartburn halfway through the meal so I just wrapped it to go so a dog can finish it off but now I'm thinking no puppy deserves this cruelty. The only good thing they had was the bread. Wish it was a good place cause by reading their menu I wanted to taste all their dishes but after having three of them I will not come back :(. read more

I am a Fordham student so I frequent Bars/Restaurants on Arthur avenue 3-4 nights a week. MichaelAngelos Used to be one of my favorite places to eat, drink and have a general good time but the last three times I was there I had HORRIBLE service and below average food and drinks. The last time I was there they not only messed up my order but also overcharged my card and had the nerve to argue with me infront of the very few customers that were there ( Friday 7 PM). Other students feel the same way and none of my friends will be returning, a shame since the night scene in the Bronx could really need a "nice" place. read more

Sucks. Calamari not fresh but too chewy. Price God each pizza compared to its portion is ridiculously high. Big let down.

I googled search this and was looking for a good pizzeria to go to. My intent was just to eat some good pizza. When we got there it was pretty busy which is normal when going out. But did notice for a Sunday large groups of people between 6-15 people in each group waiting to be served. I just came with my girl seeking pizza. We got seated and ask for some Caesar salad as a appetizer. It never came and we waited long till we addressed it. She thought we wanted it all together . I asked for plain pizza. She served me pizza with no sauce!!!!! Outdoor patio is nice with dangling lights. Waitress was nice even though she got the order completely wrong. Had my gf slice which had sauce and it really only made a minor difference. This pizza is mediocre at best. I think i would come back one day just to see if all the food is mediocre or just the pizza. Not a hater just stating facts. Just got the bill. They charge for refills on soda. The third one was on the "house" after i asked why i got charged twice. The cups are small which cause me to get more refills. This place i wont be coming back. 2 small personals pies and 2 fountain drinks for mediocre pizza came out to 50 bucks. When it comes to down to it, a place can look amazing but if the food is just ehhhh than wont make a difference. read more

Love this restaurant. The atmosphere is the first thing you notice, and it's a nice little surprise. An a secret Italian garden. The service was just right - friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. I had the chicken parm and my partner had lobster ravioli. Both were delicious. My favorite food is Italian pasta sauce, and I'm very picky about it, and hardly ever find it at a restaurant where I think it's good enough. This sauce was outstanding! I could have eaten a bowl of it with some parmesan cheese and a spoon. The lobster ravioli had great flavor. It was a little on the creamy, rich side, but really good. No time for coffee and dessert, so I can't wait to go back. Great find. read more

Fantastic meal! At first glance, I thought the restaurant was small but was pleasantly surprise when I walked to the back. Spacious, beautiful, and warm! Our server, Dugi, was so nice, prompt, friendly and informative! I ordered the pear salad and linguini with clams. My partner ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the lobster ravioli. Dugi brought out everything on time and hot! This was one of the best Italian meals I've had. And the service was stellar. I will definitely be coming back! read more

Food is great, but the service is pretty terrible. It wasn't always this way, but it's gone downhill in the last year or so. My husband and I are regulars and despite the fact that they recognize us and we tip well, we wait a long time to get refills on drinks or have our order taken or get the check. Sometimes we want to get dessert but we get tired of waiting so we just leave. I hope they get it together soon or we will stop eating here. read more

Terrific food. Great service. Frank Sinatra singing... What's not to like?

Fabulous italian meal in a fabulous dining room served by fabulous Italians. Wonderful meal with the family.

I've been here once before and the food was good but went on a busy Saturday night and had the worst service I've ever experienced. Our order wasn't taken until after an hour of waiting and after 2 and a half hours we still only received a glass of wine. Ordered a salad but even that didn't come after waiting for so long. Unless you have 5 hours to kill, I'd suggest only coming here on a slow day. read more

Decent food, not too pricey. Budget half an hour to wait for the check, though. They take forever with that.

An absolutely wonderful experience. Our waiter explained the specials and recommended a dish which actually saved us money. The food was excellent. I highly advocate for this place. read more

not bad at all. good prices, good food, good portions. nice lookin place too, sat in the indoor patio, fuhgeddaboudit

AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL! A wonderful Fordham Family weekend was ruined by the outrageously terrible experience at this pizzeria trying to pass itself off as a full service restaurant. Shame on the owners!!! Had to wait over 2 hours for dinner to be served; we were finally served after threatening to leave without paying for our drinks and appetizers which were cold and gloppy. When our food was finally served it was inedible. Words cannot express our disappointment. We were told over and over again the reason for the long wait was because of Family weekend volume! Nonsense. Our daughter is a senior, this was our 4th Family weekend and nothing like this has ever occurred at any of the other restaurants we have patronized before. Never again! read more

Perfect place to go after a day at the Bronx Zoo. The beautifully decorated and cozy backyard feeling is a big plus. The bread basket came with a terrific dipping sauce. It makes me want to go back just for that. The Pasta e Fegioli soup was delicious and you must try it. The Caprese Pizza was not what we expected but it was ok. The prices are reasonable and the service was courteous. Please, do check this place out, you won't regret it! read more

Michaelangelos is an incredible addition to Arthur ave. Everything I've seen from the kitchen looks delicious, I think they have the best pizza and pasta dishes around. The bar and couch arrangement set a great atmososphere. It turns into a stylish lounge after dinner. I love it read more
