So I had bought a purse exactly a month ago, there was a defect on the purse, three dents all together. Which made it difficult to zip up or even open. I went back to exchange it and they said no, they sent me to their customer service "warranty" which I do understand... only if I've had the bag for more than 5-6 months... for their one year warranty.......but having it only 30 days and them not being able to exchange it on the spot was very disappointing..! Now I have to go out of my way to call them, take pictures, email them and wait for a 5-6 day response..... Probably the only place I'll buy MK. Usually some decent deals to be had -- primarily on handbags and wallets. Most everything is sligthly cheaper than retail, with occasionally some larger sales. They also have clothing in the back section of the store. The staff can be as helpful or as laid back as you'd like them to be -- if you have questions, they'll answer, but if you're happy to be left on your own, that works, too. Store was fairly clean, this young lady was very helpful. We had asked the associate for the price with the discount and she calculated right there. The cashier was pretty quick and had good customer service. He asked about our day and was making light conversation. We literally were in and out of the store in 10 minutes. Passed through the area on my way back from giving a presentation in Palm Springs. The Cabazon outlets are huge and can't miss it on the north side of the 10 freeway. I usually wouldn't venture into a store like this as it really isn't my cup of tea. However, I just happened to text my wife asking if she wanted anything from the outlet. She asked which stores were there and I got a "OOHHH!" text back when I mentioned MK. Ok, it I went to see what they had. As I walked in, there were plenty of staff in and about the store. Some greeting customers while others were grabbing sizes of clothes or shoes for others. Everyone was extremely helpful. As I was trying to figure out what my wife would want, I ventured to the back of the store and low and behold.... SALE RACK! 40% off this rack, 70% off that rack! Oh my goodness! So glad my wife wasn't there with me or we could have spent eternity and then some trying on everything. I wanted to surprise her with something and ended up finding a great blouse on one of the sale racks. As I was browsing, a few staff came over and asked if they could help out with anything. This is the only MK store I've shopped at. The selection was plentiful. Tons of bags to choose from. The clothing section had some nice things as well. There were two large displays that were 40% off of the bags and one large wall of 50% off! The clearance bags were not cheesy, but current fashion and really nice stuff! The girl who assisted me was very helpful, the others seemed more like they were targeting ONLY those who "looked" like they had money to spend. Not really equal treatment. I was given a coupon when I entered the store for 60% off the entire store and I was denied the discount on a bag because they said it was a regular store item although it was marked 50% off and another 25% off as opposed to the 50% off and 60% additional as was other items that day. I asked the manager to show me where on the coupon or store policy is it written she said " IT JUST IS" ... when she couldn't find it anywhere??? I left that bag and the other ones. UPDATE: my husband just called them and they said I can take the glasses back to the Citadel location and might be able to get a refund since it seems to be a manufacturing problem. So disappointed... went to the outlet stores on the way home from Palm Springs to LA. I bought some cute sunglasses at MK for $99. Today was my second day wearing them and BOTH of the arms just broke off. I am very gentle on my sunglasses. I was carefully folding the glasses when one arm fell off. Then when I got home and placed them on the table, the other one fell off, too. This wasn't the screw coming out--they actually just broke right off. Very cheaply made. I still have the receipt but wasn't planning on going back there as it's quite a drive and they don't even give cash refunds. I really don't want to drive for 2 hours just to exchange them for some other crappy thing. I will probably just have to suck it up, but be warned! Bags and sales are great. Service sucks. We weren't greeted when entering the store nor approached by any sales associate the entire time we were there. No big deal. However, things went downhill. My mom and I were in line for almost 30 minutes to purchase 3 handbags for gifts for my bridesmaids. Sales associate stuffed them all into one big bag, I nicely requested for her to place them in separate bags because they're gifts for three different girls and she told me she can't because they're running low on shopping bags. I suggested that my mom and I will purchase them separately since there are two of us. She refused, saying that even if we buy them separately she'll still put them in the same bag. Ok???
