Went in looking at hats not having a clue what I was looking for. Went to the counter to ask for some help and was helped out by Savana with so much more info about hats, styles, shapes, material, creases, seasons and more. Ended up not buying a hat just yet so I could do some more homework. Went back a couple days later, today to get some boots for the wife and again got the best assistance from Cori. Everyone we've encountered in store has been super friendly and helpful, exactly what you would hope for when stepping out of a comfort level to get into something new. Will definitely be back to this location for my hat, if I can ever figure out which I want to get, prices seem pretty good for the quality. Staying away from that 100X hat though. read more

No one greeted as I went in the store as my daughter wanted to see boots, as I came used the restroom one younglady did offer help but at that time I told her, that my daughter was looking...but the time came we did needed help, no one came through, we did see like for associates at the register just lolly gagging and ignoring our presence, never did they say hi can we help you or anything.. my daughter had to go to the back and get Cynthia, the only i noticed actually working, restocking boots...she was nice and friendly and helped us find the right size...I don't nothing about boots but I questioned about how beat they looked, and she said that was the "distressed look" and she said that she will shine and up and stuff so what really didn't belong would get rid off, and she said if I don't they will do it for you at the register, so I agreed.i ho to pay ...I told the cashier that he said we don't do that, but we sell you the product so u can do it at home, so I was okay cool...I got the pair of boots and the conditioner, he grabs the boots and places them in a bag, I'm like wait where is the box? He said you need to buy one, I was like what??? So the lady in charge said just give him one this time for free. I get the boots in the box and he never gives me a receipt I had noticed and puzzled I check my pockets and wallet...but before I left the store and went back to him to ask for my receipt, he said, "oh right." And handled me my receipt! I left with a face of shock on how boot barn operates! Maybe next time I'll go to another store! Is this the way boot barn operates? Let me know....not good customer service, we spent a good penny...these are not Payless prices!!! read more

Website states free hat shaping but the Banning store clearly doesn't want any part of this free service. Waited for over a hour and half watching the "hat shaper" ignoring me after he stated that he needed to add water in the steamer. I will never enter this store again. read more

At first I had a great experience here someone helped me find the boots I wanted and ended up ordering online. It went bad when I tried to return a dress that was bought for me for my birthday the manager said I had worn and washed it but I did not I tried it on and returned it a few days later as i was to busy to return it on Christmas. The lady at the store said I could have store credit but after being treated that way as if I was lying, why would I want to shop there again? The lady's working there looked like they wanted to laugh and said I used Downey. When I don't even use downy at all. I can't with this place. Anyways cooperate was notified and I hope everyone else has a better experience and they don't treat you this way. read more

Boot barn is great, however the $200+ Ariat's I bought, fell apart while shoveling. Literally three weeks old and crap. Of course I paid with cash and cannot find my receipt, which I don't blame the store, if they accepted returns like that then they'd have one screwed up inventory. Super cool place but the chubby lady at the cowboy hat station was super rude and made us feel like we did not belong there. I asked about some of the hats and she gave me very broad answers like she wasn't interested in selling me a hat. It made us feel uncomfortable idk if it had to with us being Mexican but that's what it felt like. I asked how much a specific hat cost and she answered with they range from 40$ to hundreds, and didn't walk over to even see the hat or brand. I own several boots and hats and she made us feel like we were country enough to be there. Shame on her. read more

Today was our first time at this location since it opened. Ariana and Ashley were super helpful and so patient and very courteous. I have trouble finding boots that fit due to issues with my left leg and ankle that developed over the years and were exacerbated by a serious injury later on. These ladies took all the time needed for me to try to find a pair that I could get in to. Although our mission was not successful they exhausted every option they had available to them. Once I finally conceded to the fact that I just cannot wear a regular boot anymore, these two ladies moved on to help my wife pick out and try on a pair of boots which she fell absolutely in love with. It goes without saying that that mission was a complete success. These two ladies are an exemplary example of what real customer service is. Customer service is really lacking. My wife took a pair of boots in to be stretched & she was told it would take two days. She left the boots and was told they would call her when they were ready. Two days later my wife called about her boots and was told they "hadn't had a chance to get to them", and it will be another two days! Horrible communication. We came in to pick them up and they made multiple excuses for not getting to them. read more

This boot barn doesn't usually have my size boot in stock, so I've made the mistake of going to other locations. Jose is definitely the reason to do your shopping here, he is very knowledgeable on boot types, sizing and really any questions you may have regarding your boots. He gave me a very detailed explanation on heeled boots vs non heeled. He saved me from spending hundreds of dollars on the wrong boot and pointed me to the proper boot for my needs. At almost 400$ for a pair I sure would of been upset down the road realizing I had the wrong boot for the job. The expertise here is definitely worth waiting a couple extra days for a shipment! read more

When I walked into the store, there was a man and woman cashier who stopped and looked at me and then went on carrying their conversation. It was so quiet and cold with the energy they gave when they stared me down but did not acknowledge my existence at all. No hello, or we'll be with you in a bit. I stood for a while because I wanted to ask about purchasing bulk. I have a family reunion (Texas style)and will need to purchase about 30 pairs in different sizes and wanted to know the best way to go about doing so. Long story short other customers came in the store and they smiled and so hello to them all as they came in after me. I was floored! I walked to the women's boots to look on my own and kept my tears inside but it was obvious that I was not welcome there. I wanted to disappear. Savanah came by and ask me if I needed anything and how she could help me. I wanted to cry tears of Joy because she changed my sadness into joy just by speaking to me after me being ignored and looked down on. After Savanah a sweet older lady also tried to assist me. My heart was broken and I wanted to run so I never made the order after all. The store was clean and has beautiful belts, hats and great selection of boots, some pricey and some affordable. I hope the rude treatment changes I love so close and saw so many boots I would like to purchase from this location from sunflower boots to animal print! read more

My experience at this store was 'mid' the selection and everything was great! But, customer service here was lacking I'm not sure if it was because I'm a person of "color" but the vibes I got from were not ok felt like I was in a "Sundown Store" if that makes sense. I only had one person that really was trying to help me out. And as I'm getting to ready to check my things out the cashier skipped over me and decided to help the next person.
