On 08/15/25, I visited CA and subsequently, came back to Micas. Everything was just as expected. Tremendous food and great service. I was surprised... or maybe not surprised that the restaurant was packed. It was so good and I missed it so much since my last visit that I ordered two plates so that I could have it again later that night LOL. read more

My boyfriend and I found this little hidden gem in our city and wow, the Peruvian food was delicious! We were unsure which drinks to try and our waitress/bartender were both super helpful in guiding us. The drinks tasted just as good as they looked! As for the vibe it was super cozy and intimate, perfect for a date night. Highly recommend the staff were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. Definitely adding this spot to our regular rotation -- can't wait to go back! read more

Hey all, Had the pleasure of finding this place this weekend. Tucked away in a mini mall, with ample parking you will find Micas. Let me say we had a good mix of food. No time for appetizers because we were all too hungry. So we had the following; -Leche de Tigre mixta, medium spicy. Mixed seafood in a delicious mouth watering juice/broth. -Ají de Gallina. For those who don't know, let me just say it's Peruvian chicken curry. Delicious. Good amount of chicken, sauce was on point and you can't forget the hard boiled egg and potatoes over a bed of rice. So good! -Arroz con pollo y papa a la huancaina. Chicken with green rice and a side of (1 of the national dishes) potatoes with huancaina sauce. If you know, you know. It was so good. Great sauce over the potatoes and the rice was so savory. If you are in the La Verne area or adjacent to it, do yourself a favor and head over to Micas for a delicious meal. Enjoy! read more

This restaurant has the best dishes and excellent service. We celebrated a birthday and they were very nice to serve her a little birthday treat, excellent adbiance as well. Thank you. read more

The food here is good, but after three visits with subpar service, I've decided to give up on this place. There are plenty of other great restaurants in the area where I don't have to settle for mediocre service. read more

My wife and I went out to dine here on a Saturday night. They are a newer restaurant and are still training their staff. Food came out pretty fast and tasted delicious. The only underwhelming thing was the bread. Staff was super friendly and gave us great recommendations for dishes to try. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Must try! Please go support them! read more

The food is delicious, the service is friendly, the ambiance is nice. We had the chicken saltado noodles, steak saltado noodles, anticuchos, and a chicha pitcher to drink. All of it was very enjoyable and had that authentic Peruvian quality to it. The dinner prices are very reasonable and the portions are perfectly filling. read more

My food was over salted. I decided to not return it because my party's meal appeared to be good. Mainly for the negative review was the poor customer service from our server. She rarely checked on us; did not bring out what we ordered and we had to go look for her. read more

Food was delicious. I had the arroz con pollito. I can't wait to go back and try other dishes.

We came here for dinner. We ordered an appetizer of Yuca ala Huancaina the sauce a top was basically nacho cheese sauce it wasn't the huancaina sauce that I know that my mother in law's made or I have made not even a tiny bit spicy or flavor. It tasted just like nacho cheese sauce. I have an excellent recipe that I use for Papa la Huancaina, let me know if you want the recipe. the Aji that comes with the bread is SPOT on and delicious. I ordered Saltado de Mariscos and it was good the aji brought the dish together. The rice was really dry though. My husband order Bistec ala Anticucho he said the meat should have been marinated longer he only got a hint of the flavors. He said the meat was cooked perfectly just needed more marinading. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. The server was very sweet. read more

Came in around 12:30pm on a Friday. Service seemed very very disorganized. I came with my grandma. They brought my food out and didn't bring her meal until 20 minutes later, which was one of the lunch specials. It would've been nice to have it brought out around the same time. Food was just ok. read more

Great Peruvian food that will not disappoint. Try the Tacu Tacu with carne or the Lomo Saltado. Note: Do not order food to go because you're going to get way less food. read more

We were in the area visiting family, and decided to drop in. We got the ceviche mixto, it was perfectly delicious and fresh. The fish and shrimp were tender and very fresh. We got the lomo, pollo, and mariscos saltados, which were all very flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The beef was tender and flavorful. The mariscos saltados was my main dish, and I would definitely order it again, it was great. Many in my party thought the pollo saltado was the best of the 3, so we all agreed that this place was worth a return. Oh, and my sister ordered the bistec, which was so tender and flavorful, thinly cut. The portions were also large, The service was nice as well. We'll plan to return. read more

Terrible experience! We went to this restaurant with 6 people (5 adults and 1 child), and when the bill came, we saw an extra 18% "Big Party Fee". No one mentioned this fee before we ordered, and it felt like a complete rip-off. The fee was written in tiny print on the menu, it stated that an additional 18% fee is applied to "over 6 people", which clearly means 7 or more. But when I questioned it, the staff insisted that it includes 6 people, and they said they are not supposed to remind us when we were ordering. This is misleading and dishonest. It's not about the extra money--I did pay the 18% so-called "Big Party Fee" in the end, I don't care this dozens dollars. We felt cheated and completely disrespected as customers. A restaurant that pulls tricks like this does not deserve repeat business. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

The ambiance is just what I was hoping it would be given the twinkling lights you can see from the parking lot, and the food was delicious, Service was a little slow, but everyone was polite and honestly it gave us more time to enjoy the live music. Micas is a must try. read more

Terrible. When one goes to a restaurant is to enjoy. Not to this one. My wife asked for a papa a la huancaina. The sauce was watery and the the potatoes with skin. The sauce should be creamy not soupy and the potatoes peeled. I am sure the owner will not eat that ..., Then, she asked for a tamale. The owner should place a complaint to the place they make them. The pork tamale was nothing but the fat of the pork. Peruvians call it "cebo". To pay $9 for "cebo"? bad. I asked for Aguadito. It was not. It was a green soup with some rice. If the owner is peruvian he should know what aguadito is. I was told that the cook is peruvian. And he's serving that ..., I betcha he will not eat that. A few months ago we visited the place. I requested for "Pescado a lo macho". The sauce was bitter. I didn't want to go after that, however, we decided to give them a second chance. Now, definitely will never go back. Yes, the owner had a sale, but in the long run, don't think it will last as a restaurant. read more

Everything was delicious! The vibe was nice with live music in the bar area. I can't wait to come back again.

This place recently replaced Mi Ranchito, and they did a great job making it more contemporary and homey! Decided to try it out with my mom today for lunch. Our server was great, she gave us rolls with huacaina sauce right when we arrived. I had the lomo saltado and my mom had the pollo saltado along with sides of yucca and plantains. Everything was delicious! They gave HUGE portions for both plates, so there was enough for leftovers. I loved the lomo, and my mom enjoyed her pollo. Price point was honestly worth it given the amount of food we got. We'll definitely be returning back! read more

Our first time here and I thought this was amazing! Came in on a Sunday evening and service was fast and polite. We got the empanada trio, which was amazing, I thought the flavors were really balanced. My husband got the Peruvian fried rice with seafood (chaufa de mariscos I think it was called) and he loved it so much. I got a bistec dish with rice and fries and I also thought it was amazing. Meat was cooked well and rice was perfect. My husband loved his pineapple margarita also! Def come try this place!
