This place however greatly surprised me. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food, although still institutional was fresh and presented in a very appealing manner. I really like that they sell Arthur Treacher's fish and chips as well as Nathan's hot dogs and fries. Fried shrimp... chips that seem to have THE most special flavor... and husshhh puppies to die for! Best decision I've made today! The only problem I encounter is getting there and getting out. Sample Road is always crazy. But this is how much it's worth it to me. And usually Miami Subs is known for not-so-quick service but so far so good at this location. I will never eat miami subs again. Once in a great while I'll get a craving for one of their cheesesteak sandwiches or fish n chips platter. Last night was one of those nights. After work I stopped by the miami subs on sample road in pompano beach and I stood at the counter for a minute before the girl would serve me. It was all hatian people speaking creole to eachother and they seemed more engrossed in their conversation then in helping the customers. When I stood up I saw that the floor was wet by the rug. I informed the workers that the floor was wet. Then I went to sit down and eat my food. I took one bite of my archer treachers french fries and spit it out. The fries tasted really funny, like a dirty dish rag!!!! You are risking your life eating here ... My family and I took home an order from here and brought it home. My daughter took a bite out of a Philly steak sandwich and began to chock she spit out a clear piece of some sort of plastic wrap. We then looked inside the sandwich and found more of the wrap. I took fives calls for the night shift manager to finally answer the phone we told her what had happened and to be honest it wasn't much of a concern to her. She then told me she will let the manager know and he will call us in the morning and guess what no one called so I called the second day and spoke to George the general manager and he told me he was never informed. This really shows how much Miami Subs cares about food safety. He told me he will let the right people know and he will get back to me. Do I really need to tell you he failed to get back to me and after 3 days I called him and he said he had a personal emergency the other day and that's why he couldn't call me I then asked him since he is at his job now is his emergency over and he said yes then I asked him then why didn't you call me today? He told me he call corporate and they informed him that if I had all the food and my receipt I can get a refund. I told him I didn't need to wait 4 days for permission to do a return that this was much more serious then returning a sandwich I told him this is food safety and the lives of costumers here. I called and emailed cooperate myself and after being bounced around by the area manager and vice president of Miami Subs I was asked to send them a picture and a video of the food which I did and was told they will get back with me and guess what no one called again. Tried talking to the franchisee and she told me not to call her and she said since I am an expert at this I should find out who is her insurance company and deal with them and told me not to call her again and hung up on me. read more

First time ever going to a Miami subs. The food was okay. I got a warm turkey sub. The bread tastes pretty good but the meat and cheese were paltry as well as the toppings. The gals working the register were pretty rude. Having never been to a MS before, I asked "What comes with the platter?" I was greeted with a deer-in-the-headlights look and a straight cold stare. She replied "Which one?" Huh? Do each of them come with something different, I thought to myself. Indulging her, I said "How about the gyro platter?" "That comes with a salad and fries." Okay. "How about the grilled chicken?" I asked. "That comes with salad and fries, too." Okay. "What about the chicken finger platter?" If you know where I'm going here, raise your hand. Her response? Anyone? Anyone? "That comes with salad and fries". In essence, this whole, witty repartee could have been avoided by answering the initial question, being "What does the platter come with?" But the worst thing was that a couple employees in back were not wearing masks and a couple of employees were not wearing gloves. The food all came out hot, surprisingly considering it was 2:30pm. My food came out with fries even though I ordered double salad. They fixed my plate, it was delicious. The employees were nice, and had a competition with my daughter that she couldn't eat all she ordered. She ate it all and was excited to show them she finished all her food.
