I stopped in at this Jersey Mike's location during the Light Up the Night event in Parkland. I have eaten their subs often through the years and as a Jersey girl I appreciate their garden state connection. You can order hot subs like a Philadelphia cheese steak, cold subs, sides, drinks, and desserts. My go to is the #13 original Italian with provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni dressed Mike's Way with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, olive oil blend, red wine vinegar and seasonings. The thing I really like is they slice the meat fresh for your sandwich. It's then topped and dressed the way you like it. Even though they were having a very busy night because of the festival everyone working was so friendly. Special shout out to Julia who was so bouncy it was like she was fueled by shots of espresso. She espoused her love for the customers and working at Jersey Mike's. She was also unfailing patient about manually entering my credit card when the POS failed. This location is a weekly must go for us at work. For a chain sub place I personally feel it's the best. The subs always taste fresh and flavorful. The restaurant is always clean and well stocked. I got my usual the #9 no tomatoes, which they always get right and even today it was good. The only reason for the 4 star today is due to things out of everyone's control. I walk into the store today and it was busy, which it is not usually this busy. The staff was great all working fast and productive. My sub way suppose to be ready by 12:39 from the email confirmation. I did not get my sub till 1:05. Now the girl behind the counter profusely apologized, while she is working 10 subs at the same time, and she notified me that it had been busy for a while and they had an unexpected catering order! So I totally get it, and if I would have walked in and seen people standing around or taking their time and having no sense of urgency then I would probably have given less stars, but they did a wonderful job handling it. We at work usually order from this location weekly for pick up and honestly we never end up waiting when we pick up, this was definitely a first for this location. Ordered delivery from here and it came fast. The sub I ordered was the Mini #11, it had ham, salami and provolone. I thought it would come with the basics, but it didn't have tomato. I just had the meats and cheese with lettuce, pickles, Mayo and mustard. Maybe I missed the tomato option when ordering on Uber eats. OK, I have to admit, I'm a bit of a pizza and sub snob, so when I tried Jersey Mike's, I was pleasantly surprised. Growing up in NY, I was used to getting the freshest sandwiches from local delis, so the thought of going to a chain sandwich shop seemed ridiculous to me. Living in South Florida, my choices are not as plentiful as in NY, so after receiving positive reviews from friends, I tried Jersey Mike's for the first time last year and I'm glad I did. The shop is very clean, especially the sandwich making area, which is really important to me. I hate going into a deli where the counter is dirty and/or crowded and I can say that JM's does a great job of keeping it clean and neat. Also, all employees wear gloves and masks, which is great and they are very friendly (always saying welcome and thanks for coming). Their level of service is right up there with Chix fil A, which is saying something. They also have plenty of seating, if your inclined to eat in during COVID, but if taking to go, the process is organized, professional and quick (I don't think I've ever taken more than 10 min to order and receive my order. They have 3 sizes (mini, regular and full size), several bread choices, offer specialty sandwiches, and create your own options with a good choice of meat and cheeses. They also have a nice selection of toppings w/ their specialty called "Mike's Way" (shreeded lettuce, tomato, onions, oil/vinegar, s/p and special seasoning), which I highly recommend. Everything is extremely fresh (meats are all sliced to order), taste great and a great choice for lunch or dinner. As someone that doesn't order from "fast food" chains often, but Jersey Mike's is the exception. This review was based on a free sub from a birthday promotion Jersey Mikes does. So in the world of subs in South Florida the competition is fierce. You have legends such as Laspadas and Sublishous. Not to mention you are also competing with the gangster of subs, Publix. Florida is really the cut throat battle ground for subs, so what does some guy named Mike from New Jersey think he can add to the competition? A lot of meats, a clean dining place, great options for bread and pretty fresh ingredients. So dam, maybe Mike is on to something here. I was honestly impressed with the amount of meats my sandwich came with and I also chose to "have it like Mike" which really put me on to adding vinegar to my sandwiches. I do wish there were more topping options like mushrooms or bell peppers. But Mike seems more concerned with the bread quality and meats. While Publix focuses more on efficiency and lower prices For a regular size sandwich (which I think came to 8 inches) it was pretty tasty and filling. While it may not be my first choice for a sub, I wouldn't scoff at the idea of getting one from here. read more
