First of all we have to understand that their food is freshly made and that's going to take some time to be prepared, so be patient, once you receive your food you won't regret the wait! Best Honduran food ever! Great service, very kind people. I will be back.

I always go with my family for breakfast or sometimes for lunch, we really like Honduran food and that's the only reason we go there, and the only reason for a minimum of 2 stars, because since we got there was uncomfortable, the firs picture was a poster in front of the restaurant, and I mean that doesn't look good for a establishment I'm just saying, we found a table and sit down, the waitress never smile or made us feel welcome, we ordered drinks, was 2 tamarindo waters that didn't have flavour at all, then after that the chips and salsa took 10-15 mins to get at the table, the food was really good as always, the second picture is about a promo that they offer just for check in, I asked the waitress for my free dessert, I showed her the picture, she just look at it without say nothing, like she doesn't know what I was talking about, I think she don't even know what yelp is, and then she finally said that the manager don't accept that, I just told her to go and ask for it, hopefully someone will know it, but she just came back to take our plates, leave the bill and I never got an answer, and this is my first review because I got tired of the bad service, the long waits for the food, and the rudeness of the waitress, I don't even know if the manager or the owner will take a look to this review but if they do please do something with it and thank you. So if you want really good Honduran food you can come but you have to be patient.

We were around the area and decided to go here. Agua de nance was amazing! We absolutely loved it. We got baleada extra special and it was huge! So good for the price and tasty. Will definitely go back

I know, I know...people swear by Pappa's Steak or Taste of Texas, but this small, unassuming place tops them all. And a fantastic SA wine list. Please give them a try. Will not be disappointed.

The lunch menu came with a choice of either soup or salad, which I got the lentil soup. The soup was thick and hearty. It was very good. My steak was cooked perfectly and well-seasoned. The sides were well-seasoned too. The size of the steak, to me, was sufficient and considered big for a lunch menu. I had a triple chocolate tres leches after my steak. It was the perfect ending. I received warm and excellent service throughout my lunch. The restaurant is big and suitable for all party sizes. There is plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant, so that is a plus point.

This place is definitely not located in a fancy area, and I have to admit, I had second thoughts the moment I pulled into the crowded and chaotic parking lot. Located in the heart of Latino Town in Spring Branch, the atmosphere immediately reminded me of back home (Venezuela). The vibe is different, authentic, and familiar in the best way. I trusted the process because this spot had been on my list for a while, and I'm so glad I gave it a chance. Once you make it through the parking adventure and walk inside, you are pleasantly surprised by a small, quaint, clean, and charming restaurant. The aroma coming from the kitchen was enough to convince me I had made the right choice. We were seated right away during a busy lunch hour. The staff works together as a team, and the service was efficient and attentive. But, of course, the star of the show was the food. I had a steak cooked to perfection with sweet plantains, and it was absolutely delicious. They offer an extensive menu featuring flavors from Argentina to Venezuela, with plenty of options to choose from. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and in a timely manner. If you are in the Spring Branch area and craving grilled, savory, authentic food, this is definitely a place to check out. I will absolutely be coming back. A true hidden gem!

We all shared freshly baked bread with chimichura sauce and marinated vegetables salsa criolla, delicious empanadas of all sorts, the Argentina Grill parrillada platter, and flan and Nutella crepes for dessert. Pampa Grill & Market is a beloved family-owned neighborhood gem run by Argentine owners. Definitely a fabulous experience all around. Pampa serves wine, but they also allow BYOB, so we brought a delicious 2022 Decero Remelinos Malbec and John and Katherine brought a lovely white blend, also from Argentina. It is still run by the original family of the founders (#1) and is a destination for all things empanada and Argentina. Despite the original location closing due to a fire 40 years ago, the current setup is still reminiscent of tradition and a rich history. From photos of the Marini family adorned throughout the walls, to the old school feel of the interior and outer corridor, the place feels like it's from another time. Their menu consists of a variety of empanadas, some of which lean heavier toward the traditional Argentine flavors such as their beef gaucho, which is an excellent mix of ground beef, hard boiled egg, olives, onions, and spices. The humita is a veggie friendly choice, with seasoned creamed corn, with onions, spices, and mozzarella cheese. Some other more creative options, such as the chuckwagon (ground beef, red wine sauce, mushrooms, onions and tomato) or Texas BBQ (slow cooked beef in bbq sauce) are a deviation from the traditional stuff but are no less fun to order. the Tex-Mex ups the ante from the Texas BBQ with added serrano peppers, jack and cheddar cheese. Almost all the empanadas are around $4-5 each. Empanadas might get all the shine, but the most fascinating part to me is the specialty sandwiches. Their series of milanesa based sandwiches are impressive, as well as the choripan ($13.50), which is a grilled Italian sausage with veggies, is not easily found in Houston. The churrasco ($18.50) is the heartiest choice, with chunks of marinated New York steak in chimichurri, in sandwich or salad form. The service has been friendly and the parking is a non-issue. Prices have steadily crept up over the years, but there aren't enough businesses with the same repertoire that brings the same kind of versatility that Marini's has. I look forward to many more meals and hope to make a dent in their vast selection of dessert empanadas. I genuinely hope they continue to keep their tradition and family legacy alive for the future generation. ____________ (#1) The children of Marcello and Pelusa Marini.
