I love the Empanada Company! We went here after a nice little walk at Memorial Park. We got several different empanadas such as the guava and cheese, pumpkin, chorizo and potatoes, beef filling, potato and egg and a sausage kolache. Everything was amazing besides the potato and egg. Don't get that one!! Definitely try both a breakfast, lunch and dessert empanada! Service was great, and kind. They did forget my beef filling one, but once I told them, they immediately apologized and gave me one.

    They are now open!

I'm so happy to have met the owners! Their empanadas are DELICIOUS! My mom & I have been circling this establishment for days waiting for opening day. The wait was well worth it! They have breakfast empanadas, assorted meats, mushroom, and fruit pastry empanadas. We picked molé, brisket, bacon-egg and cheese and pineapple with cheese. It's a quick and simple meal, their prices are very reasonable. Give them a try...they are in the PetCo / Gold's gym shopping center.

Chicken Pastry!! Filled with chicken and tomatoes!!! Buttery flaky crust...sooo soooo good!

I absolutely LOVE this place. Have been a regular customer for a couple years now! Hand made delicious empanadas and tortas! My absolute favorite is the Chicken Pastry! Dessert empanadas too! All made to order. Outstanding customer service, the staff is so kind and friendly! 10/10!

Yes! The answer is if you were thinking about trying this place yes. The girls were so nice working the register and suggesting different things to try. But the empanadas themselves are like nothing you've ever had before. They make them there every single day and they are warm served with salsa if you ordered a savory empanada. My boys don't always like spicy things so they ordered the breakfast empanadas and sweet empanadas and both of them were very happy. Do yourself a favor and get a cheese and a Piccadillo. You won't be disappointed.

Delicious baked empanadas! My favorite ones are shredded beef, spinach & cheese and mushrooms. I am glad to have this place nearby.

Ask the Community - The Empanada Company

Is this the same place as the one off westheimer?

No, this is an entirely different style. These are not Argentinian style fried empanadas. These are baked and are more like a fusion of different latin countries. You should try it and taste the difference for yourself.

What kind of oil do you fry the empanada's in, and do you offer gluten free empanada's?

We do not fry our empanadas, they are baked. The dough they are made from contains vegetable shortening. We do not offer gluten free products at this time. Although I will mention that baked empanadas have about one-third the calories of fried… Read more

I love to eat at El Bolillo Bakery. It all started because my boyfriend really loves their conchas,…read moreso he was the one who introduced me to the place. I've always liked bakeries, but I try to eat on the healthier side, so I usually avoid anything that might tempt me.But I am a sucker for cinnamon rolls, so when I saw they had them, of course I had to try one and they are so, so good. Now we actually go there about once every two weeks because we love it that much and I look forward to opening the front doors and smelling the sweet smell of baked goods Recently we also found out that they have cheese & sausage kolaches, and oh my gosh, they are delicious. They are really, really good and were such a nice surprise when we tried them. The location closest to us is the one on Airline Drive, and we usually go in the afternoon so we can avoid the after-work crowd. That time of day works really well for us because there aren't too many people, which makes it easier to grab bread and look around without feeling rushed. The ordering process is pretty quick and simple. You grab your metal tray and tongs, open each little door, pick what you want, and put it on the tray. When you're ready, you go to the register where the ladies count the breads, ring everything up, and bag it nicely for you. We're usually in and out pretty fast, which we really like. We love going to El Bolillo, and at this point it has definitely become a staple for us. We honestly can't get enough of it.

This Argentinian grill and market has been on my radar to stop by for the past few months…read more It is easily located in Spring Branch off Hammerly and Gessner. We came for the specialty market to buy some items from Argentina. This place was packed with every table taken and several people waiting on a Sunday at 3pm so it must be really good. We saw homemade alfores which I absolutely love and they even had the crackers we love at their small market. With pictures of Argentina and Messi on their walls you tell the warm friendly atmosphere although busy. Will definitely return for lunch or dinner after reading the Yelp reviews. This place looks legit !!

Oh.my.goodness. I LOVE THIS PLACE!…read more To be honest, we discovered it by accident since we were in an area about 30 minutes from our home. Needless to say, those 30 minutes are worth it and I've already been twice! There is free parking which is always a plus. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you are in Latin America. The decor is pretty neat and they sell traditional Argentinian candy, snacks and chocolates. We tried the Argentinian empanadas (because of course we had to) as well as the choripán and they were good but my favorite by far was the Chinchulines (small intestine a.k.a. chitterlings). Yum! Service has been great both times. If you are interested in having an alcoholic drink, call ahead of time to inquire as you are able to bring a bottle of wine but there is a corkage fee. I will DEFINITELY be back!
