First off, I rarely give 5 stars out, but Tostada Regia really gives me no reason to ding them and they were a very wonderful surprise on a Saturday morning. Located in the heart of Korea town and amongst a long strip center, Tostada Regia carved out a local favorite. When I think of brunch, I never think of Mexican cuisine, however after my experience, it would be a shame if I don't think of Tostada Regia more often. I opened the menu and was immediately shown big, colorful plates all around $7.50-$8.00. You CAN'T really find that kind of pricing in the wild for a decent plate of food. I got their protein bowl, which consists of 5 scrambled eggs, 3 strips of bacon and half an avocado. They also garnished it with chopped jalapenos. Something like this would be over $15 in other places. It was ALOT of food and I couldn't finish it. My wife got something huge and ended up taking more than half of it home ($8 plate). My SIL got 2 breakfast tacos which was $6.50. For 3 people, our bill was under $30 and we were stuffed silly. You CAN'T beat that pricing at all. We WILL be back to try the other stuff out. Don't sleep on Tostada Regia!

I love this place! I mostly go to the 45 location. This is a midpoint for family. I love the tostadas and the micheladas! Not an expensive place at all. Service is always good and timely. The restaurant is very causal and always has music videos on which I for some reason always watch lol. Highly recommend the chicharron, breakfast, tostadas, Asado, micheladas and jimaca drink.

I went to Tostada Regia at Oak Village Shopping Center on Long Point. My foodie friend and I were shopping near Ikea and thought to eat a Mexican brunch on the final day of 2023. Getting here is very easy. I am not a stranger to this strip mall. Kim Shabu is just on the right next to Mambo Seafood. The restaurant was pretty big and there were many customers already filled half of space. Waitress sat us near the windows because we I like the warmth from the sun. I ordered Chilaquiles and Menudo to mimic what I had at the other brunch restaurant. The prices are much cheaper than that one I had on Christmas Eve. The menu has pictures with English description. There are so many items I wanted try. My friend was laughing at me as I started to licking the plate. Yeah. It was so delicious and I managed to consume two people's portion. Thank Goodness, it was a sunny day. After tummy all full, I felt like just laying in the sun for a nap.

My go to spot over here in spring branch . Located in a big ol strip. Plenty of parking . They have a good chips . Always hot and fresh . They have a queso dip that is banging . My favorite thing on the menu is Cortadillo Norteño. It's a plate that has Chopped beef steak sauté with tomatoes, peppers, and onions with a tomato base sauce . Also rice and beans . Your choice of tortillas. Other things on the menu are go hard as well . Like the tostadas , flatus, mini tacos . Try the menu . I'll always be back . Friendly waitress and waiters . They have a full bar . Good music .

My family and I were in search of good Mexican food and decided to try this place. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome. Interestingly, the TVs showcased food advertisements and cooking processes rather than regular TV shows, allowing customers to see exactly what they were ordering. We tried a variety of drinks such as the Hibiscus and the Horchata, both of which were delicious and not overly sweet. For an appetizer, we ordered the Molcajete de Chicharrón. It was delightful, with crispy chicharrones and tasty onion bulbs. The guacamole was decent, though I've had better. The portion sizes were generous for the price. I had the Enchiladas Suizas, which were excellent, particularly the sauce. My brother chose the Burrito Regia, a gigantic serving. My father enjoyed his cheesy quesadillas and the accompanying salsa. My mother had the Crispy Tacos, which were indeed very crispy. Overall, I highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again.

I was craving Mexican food and was passing by Tostada Regia. I remembered they have entomatadas which are vegetarian. I had ordered them via a food delivery service while in quarantine three years ago. This time, they were warmer than when I had them delivered. The beans are cooked with lard and they don't have vegetarian ones. So they only accompanied my dish with rice. The rice is well cooked. The entomatadas are two corn tortillas wrapped around queso fresco and topped with a tomato sauce. You get four. I had a lemonade which is pretty fresh and comes from a machine. Considering the area this restaurant is in, $3 is overpriced for lemonade from a machine. Music videos can be a bit loud considering it was lunchtime. They also have sports on in the bar area. I wish they had vegetarian beans. I'll be back and hope they have other vegetarian options.

Hidden in a shopping center, a large restaurant, set up pretty nicely, staff is extremely attentive and food comes out quick. They also have a bar so great place for dinner when all the other chain restaurants are packed in the weekends. Had the gringa taco, smaller taco but the Tortillas are definitely homemade, meat was tasty and cheese tasted fresh!

We went on Sunday afternoon. They were busy but we were still able to be seated right away (all 8 of us). Staff were very friendly. Our waitress spoke only Spanish. We liked it because it was an opportunity to practice our Spanish (and we had people in our group who speak fluently), but it is still something to note. The food was delicious and good portion sizes. I wish they had refilled our chips because they only brought out a small basket and our group finished pretty quickly. We tried to get the waitress to refill but had trouble getting her attention. Atmosphere was good - casual dining.

I don't know who idea was to put this bad avocado on my food. I couldn't even eat it. I do not recommend this place for quality food. Todo el aguacate estaba en mal estado

This place is legittttt! Came here for lunch with friends and left happy as a clam. The food is authentic, the service is excellent, and the portions are huge. No complaints here. I tried lots of things on my visit: 1. Queso- creamy and delicious!! 2. Dark meat chicken tostada- the soup that came with this was SO good. Amazing broth! The guac and crema spread on the tostada was out of this world!! 3. Menudo- y'all this had an actual knuckle bone in it so you know it was the real deal! Excellent. 4. Beef taco- yesssss! My kid gobbled down her cheese quesadilla and the rice and beans were delish as well. We left this place stuffed to the gills and popped next door for popsicles lol. Great place to bring the family!

A place I grew up in as a little girl in Beaumont but never have I've visit this "original" location. Stepping in to this spot felt like a restaurant in the country of Mexico. I ordered the El Henry. I absolutely loved my dish, only thing I would've chance was the cheese enchilada definitely would've swap for a chicken or beef one, or maybe even a flaunta. I really like the Mexican rice, it had little potatoes and carrots in it. Some of the best Mexican yellow rice I've had. They offer a cinco de mayo drink special. The only thing that seem to make it special was the drinks apparently were limited edition menu items. Nothing was special about the prices. The regular menu drinks were a dollar(s) less. The margarita I ordered first was peach coconut. I didn't taste the coconut at all. I swap for the peach strawberry ($14 or 15) which was great, sweet& strong. One did me just right. You get to select up to two flavors for additional $2 (for both verse each, that's a plus. Not worded on menu). If you select a third flavor an additional $2 would be added ($4 in total) I appreciate separate tickets provided after confirmation and no additional gratuity automatically added, which he got tip equally the same or more. When asked about the "empty" patio that was available, he informed us that the entire deck was reserved. Upon departing I noticed from the parking lot individual tables, of separate parties were occupying only 3 tables. It was 8 of us sitting at 2 tables. Which the table was pushed up against the wall, and one side was inaccessible, which took away spacing. Service was lovely space was really tight. Good thing some of the ladies didn't order full meals. Definitely wouldn't have been able to fit every plate.

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! A Cali girl-lala enjoying some Tex Mex…read more While in HTX I was able to meet up with a friend from college. He mentioned margaritas (not pictured) and food! So we met at Candente. Upon walking in the restaurant was clean it was pretty packed for a Wednesday night but the aroma of the food! OMG! Our server was really nice and patient because my friend and I talked for about 30 minutes before we finally ordered our food. He has the beef enchiladas with rice and black beans. He cleaned his plate...literally not a grain of rice in sight! I had the smoked chicken verde enchiladas and WOW! What an amazing dish. I consider myself a Mexican food connoisseur especially being from California. I have always said Tex Mex?.....eeeeyuck! But Candente has changed my tune! I will definitely be back to visit when I return!

Glowing red. Burning. Candente…read more Let me start by saying that I'm not into Mexican food unless it's an auntie or grandma making it at their house. I prefer traditional homemade Mexican food but here we are. (Oh I googled and suggested this place lol) Went in for a team lunch on a Friday. Coworker's birthday lunch and she wanted Mexican. Party of 9 and we were seated promptly. They have a lunch menu and a happy hour as well as a full menu and full bar. The interior was nicely decorated. And open. There is bar seating and patio seating as well. Our waitress was Aisha and she was amazing. Friendly, helpful and patient. And able handle our large group and a few more tables with a smile. There were a variety of options. Salads, fajitas, nachos, enchiladas, etc. Also complimentary chips and salsa. My Order: chicken tortilla soup, lunch fajitas combo - chicken and beef. Chicken tortilla soup (3.5/5) - it was a bit salty for me but I am not a salt person so most things are salty to me; everyone else said it was tasty, there were tons of shredded chicken, avocado pieces, tortilla strips Fajitas - combo (4/5) - chicken was seasoned well and the beef (medium rare) was perfection and so tender and juicy, mexican rice was fluffy, and normally I would pass on the beans and get extra rice but my coworker suggested the charro beans and wow, that was a win - the seasoning was great, there were chunks of meat and the texture was nice, the only thing that could have been done better is the flour tortillas - they over-charred them making them too crispy and left them with a burnt taste. A couple of people got the elote salad and raved about it. So that will be a next time try. Def will be back. Everyone enjoyed their meals and some even ordered food to go. Would recommend.
