Third time here and third time's a charm with the service! I haven't had bad service here in the past but today waiter Antonio took good care of us, it truly does make a difference when you get that kind of service. Food was great as usual and the place was clean as always. Not too loud for a Sunday.

Talk about a fiesta at this new spot that opened up in my old neighborhood where I grew up! Shout out to Spring Branch for bringing a fun, vibrant Tex-Mex restaurant boasting an extensive menu and amazing award-winning margaritas!! I've been here at least a handful of times now, and I'm always met with friendly service and amazing food and drinks! Perfect spot for happy hour, dinner with friends, or even a casual date night! They have booth seating, four tops, and a crazy awesome bar! I've met the owner and manager and they run a tight ship because food and service has been consistent every time! I highly recommend their watermelon margaritas! It's refreshing and they use real watermelon puree! Ask for a sugar rum or taijin rim if you like it spicy! They offer green and red salsa with their chips, queso is good, and their Elote is a must try too! Their Mariachi plate is delicious! I'd recommend substituting the chicken taco for a beef taco though, personal preference! Their tamales and enchiladas are also super delicious! If you're looking for something lighter, their vegetable menu or quesadillas are also a great shareable item! This is the perfect spot to wine down your week with friends or get together with family!

Im writing this review as I sit i Juarez. This place is so legit!!! The food is excellent! The drinks are all on point! The music and vibe is right!!!! I'd love to partner and bring this to San Antonio because I love this vibe!!!!!! Top notch service, my waiter was excellent. I love and love everything going on here. This is the best Mexican theme restaurant I have eaten at in the last few years.

    Beef and chicken fajitas $20.49

I dined here for lunch a couple of weeks ago. This is a new location of the old and now closed restaurant that was further south on Gessner. It is in a new strip center with plenty of parking out front. Inside it has a modern and airy look with a full bar in the middle and an open kitchen in back. I ordered the beef and chicken fajitas for $20.49. Neither tortillas are homemade so I asked for corn and picked charro for the beans. The complimentary chips and red salsa arrived with the salsa served cool and a good tasting tartness. The entree arrived shortly after and had onions, bell pepper and tomato with the protein on the sizzling platter. The meal came with guacamole and pico de gallo too. The food lacked flavor. I was disappointed in the missing taste and that included the charro beans. With tax and drink my lunch came to over $30 which was way too expensive for the quality I received. It wasn't bad but left a lot to be desired (2.5). Also another interesting fact is their recommended tip percentages are 18, 22 and 25%. I guess the standard 20% is now out of fashion. I give a rounded down 2 score for the underwhelming and expensive fajitas with store bought tortillas. I see no reason to return.

My friend and I came here because there was a coupon on the back of an HEB recipt about how you get $5 off if you spend $30. But be careful because this excludes drinks so if you're going to use the coupon, make sure the amount of food you order amounts to $30 or more. When my friend and I were seated, chips and salsa were served right away. We ended up getting the frozen mango margarita and the carne asada. No complaints about either one. They were both good but I definitely think it's overpriced (mango margarita is $14 and the carne asada is $17.99). They do have a happy hour though where you get $2 off margaritas. Other than that, the inside was clean and the service was great- I appreciate all the workers here who made sure my friend and I had a good experience here. I'm not sure if I wil come back since I don't exactly think the food justifies a price but it's not a bad spot.

    Beef fajita enchiladas

I've been here twice so far. The chicken nachos are not pictured but they were like the beef fajita enchiladas. So-so. They don't hold back on the salt shaker. Parking and ambience were good, but the food is another story. They're likely to keep drawing in locals to the area as there's not many dine in Tex Mex restaurants in this area. The signage and decor are easily inviting to people passing by.

A place I grew up in as a little girl in Beaumont but never have I've visit this "original" location. Stepping in to this spot felt like a restaurant in the country of Mexico. I ordered the El Henry. I absolutely loved my dish, only thing I would've chance was the cheese enchilada definitely would've swap for a chicken or beef one, or maybe even a flaunta. I really like the Mexican rice, it had little potatoes and carrots in it. Some of the best Mexican yellow rice I've had. They offer a cinco de mayo drink special. The only thing that seem to make it special was the drinks apparently were limited edition menu items. Nothing was special about the prices. The regular menu drinks were a dollar(s) less. The margarita I ordered first was peach coconut. I didn't taste the coconut at all. I swap for the peach strawberry ($14 or 15) which was great, sweet& strong. One did me just right. You get to select up to two flavors for additional $2 (for both verse each, that's a plus. Not worded on menu). If you select a third flavor an additional $2 would be added ($4 in total) I appreciate separate tickets provided after confirmation and no additional gratuity automatically added, which he got tip equally the same or more. When asked about the "empty" patio that was available, he informed us that the entire deck was reserved. Upon departing I noticed from the parking lot individual tables, of separate parties were occupying only 3 tables. It was 8 of us sitting at 2 tables. Which the table was pushed up against the wall, and one side was inaccessible, which took away spacing. Service was lovely space was really tight. Good thing some of the ladies didn't order full meals. Definitely wouldn't have been able to fit every plate.

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!

The "queso" w/carne seemed to be out of a can-it was orange & didn't have the consistency of real cheese- wasn't really cheese & was disgusting. It was $9.99. I am including a photo of the overcooked beef fajita. A senior citizen can get the all beef lunch fajita special for virtually the same price as the fajita combo here ALL DAY at Pappasitos. It definitely is enough for 2. The meat melts in your mouth. EVERYTHING is better quality than here. Teo charged $1.50 for perhaps 4 or 5 slices of lime to make the happy hour margaritas made with a gross mix drinkable. That's outrageous. It reminds me that I had stopped going long ago when they charged extra for onions on enchiladas. Come on. You don't charge extra for chopped onions! I have never been to another restaurant that does so. Some even provide carmelized grilled onions gratis. I'm convinced that a $15. YUMMY mango margarita at Pappasitos would have given us the same buzz & tasted better than 8 happy hour margaritas here. I used to love the in house made flour tortillas at Teo. Tonight they were tough & uneventful. We arrived on a week night when they were not busy. Neither of the salsas were as good as they used to be.The water pitcher didn't even have ice when they refilled the water. I have absolutely no desire to return. Why would I?

(NOTE: ONLINE MENU ISNT COMPLETELY UP TO DATE)…read more First time here and had a great brunch experience! My husband's cousin raved about having dinner here the week prior so we decided to try out the Sunday brunch. My husband and I were somewhat skeptical at first based off of the photos. This is not our typical Mexican food. The plates looked a lot smaller online, but I am so glad we tried it because it was delicious!! To start we had a few drinks: 1. Flor de Fuego - it tasted like agua de jamaica with a splash of citrus, in my opinion it was very refreshing 9/10 2. Frozen Margarita - my husband's cousin ordered this in a yeti tumbler, he said the margarita was really good except it was a bit hard to drink since it was frozen the whole time lol 8.5/10 ***tumbler was an additional cost. It is a 16oz yeti. They do offer $10 refills anytime you bring the cup back 3. My husband drank a pacifico. Classic beer. They offered it in both bottle and in glass. 9/10. 4. Carafe mango mimosa - this served about 4 drinks total. It was very champagne forward with the tiniest amount of juice 7.5/10 APPETIZERS: 1. Housemade Bacon w/ Salsa Ranchera - in my opinion this was DELICIOUS. The salsa on this was amazinggg. This dish also comes with a side of authentic flour tortillas. 10/10 2. Tiradito de Hamachi - meh, it was good but wouldn't order again. It literally just tasted like strawberries with a salty aftertaste. We really wanted the aguachiles but they were no longer on the brunch menu. 6.5/10 3. Enfrijoladas - surprisingly this had a lot of flavor, it was paired with the same salsa at the bacon 10/10 ENTREES: 1. Ensalada de cesar - pretty solid, very lemony 8/10 2. Steak and eggs - this was really good, i would say that the steak looked a lot bigger online but it was still overall a delicious filling dish 9.5/10 3. Chilaquiles Divorciados - Probably my favorite thing on the menu. YOU NEED TO TRY THIS WITH THE BARBACOA! It had so much flavor to it and the barbacoa just melts in your mouth 10/10 4. Bacon Burrito - the other couple ordered this and said they enjoyed it, we all expected it to be a lot bigger though 8/10 DESSERT: 1. Tres Leches - the jam on this wasnt my favorite. It was very overpowering. The cake itself was really good. Would order again with fresh strawberries, no jam 7.5/10 2. Banana Pudding Bunelo - its your typical bunelo with a small amount of banana cream filling, topped with homemade banana ice cream 7.5/10 3. Masa Pancake - I am not the biggest fan of pancakes so I didn't try it but the other couple enjoyed it OVERALL: 9/10 experience!!! Total for our portion (Hamachi, 2 drinks, salad, steak, chilaquiles, and tres leches) came out to a total of about $120. We Will definitely be coming back to try out their dinner menu. Our culinary journey started with tuna two ways, and this first bite was actually my favorite of the entire meal. Another highlight was the steak course and the heavenly chocolate dessert course, which was expertly paired with their take on an espresso martini. Chef's kiss! The restaurant is actually quite tiny, and I found it to be on the warm/muggy side, and it wasn't even that hot outside. Also, from a decor perspective, they could certainly use a "freshening up" though perhaps a newer larger location would be a better idea. Still, based solely on the food, my foodie friends and I agreed we would absolutely be back. Their Bibendum nod is well-deserved!

Each dish has very unique flavors. The dishes are also very large portions and offer a great amount of comfort while still being high end. Additionally, the drink offerings are an excellent choice. There were a variety of options. Salads, fajitas, nachos, enchiladas, etc. Also complimentary chips and salsa. My Order: chicken tortilla soup, lunch fajitas combo - chicken and beef. Chicken tortilla soup (3.5/5) - it was a bit salty for me but I am not a salt person so most things are salty to me; everyone else said it was tasty, there were tons of shredded chicken, avocado pieces, tortilla strips Fajitas - combo (4/5) - chicken was seasoned well and the beef (medium rare) was perfection and so tender and juicy, mexican rice was fluffy, and normally I would pass on the beans and get extra rice but my coworker suggested the charro beans and wow, that was a win - the seasoning was great, there were chunks of meat and the texture was nice, the only thing that could have been done better is the flour tortillas - they over-charred them making them too crispy and left them with a burnt taste. A couple of people got the elote salad and raved about it. So that will be a next time try. Def will be back. Everyone enjoyed their meals and some even ordered food to go. Would recommend.
