Pampa Grill & Market - Our favorite crackers and Mantecol from Pampa Argentinian market

This Argentinian grill and market has been on my radar to stop by for the past few months…read more It is easily located in Spring Branch off Hammerly and Gessner. We came for the specialty market to buy some items from Argentina. This place was packed with every table taken and several people waiting on a Sunday at 3pm so it must be really good. We saw homemade alfores which I absolutely love and they even had the crackers we love at their small market. With pictures of Argentina and Messi on their walls you tell the warm friendly atmosphere although busy. Will definitely return for lunch or dinner after reading the Yelp reviews. This place looks legit !!

Oh.my.goodness. I LOVE THIS PLACE!…read more To be honest, we discovered it by accident since we were in an area about 30 minutes from our home. Needless to say, those 30 minutes are worth it and I've already been twice! There is free parking which is always a plus. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you are in Latin America. The decor is pretty neat and they sell traditional Argentinian candy, snacks and chocolates. We tried the Argentinian empanadas (because of course we had to) as well as the choripán and they were good but my favorite by far was the Chinchulines (small intestine a.k.a. chitterlings). Yum! Service has been great both times. If you are interested in having an alcoholic drink, call ahead of time to inquire as you are able to bring a bottle of wine but there is a corkage fee. I will DEFINITELY be back!

Marsha was prompt and clear on her communication, pricing, and details. We booked a private room for our event. The room was spacious and the setup was perfect for our group. Upon my arrival the day of the event, the Churrascos staff were all very accommodating. We needed a small table for raffle items and we requested the speaker to be turned off for us to talk. Marsha and her crew were happy to help and make everything perfect. The tables were set with plantain chips and salsa. The red and green salsas were so bold and zesty. They had a smokey flavor that was delicious! We had an abbreviated menu for our event. A choice of soup or salad to start, chicken, beef, or pork for the main entree, and a choice of tres leches or flan for the dessert. Everything was so delicious! I started with the Caesar salad. It was good with a light drizzle of dressing and a large crisp crouton. The bean soup that was also available was apparently very good. Even non-bean people were impressed with it. My friend and I wanted to try both the chicken and the beef, so we each ordered one and split. The chicken was my favorite. I loved the rice and gravy bed it was on with delicious cap mushrooms. The beef was good too. There was a nice grill flavor to it and it was very tasty. The space is beautiful and they offer several types of seating in an intimate lighting. Very impressed. In the 6 years I have been planning the staff Christmas luncheon, I have never received so much praise and good feedback. Everyone loved the meal. It was the best meal I've arranged for my company and the best meal I've personally had in a long time. I will be back with family and friends soon.

During our first experience, in which we were the only table in the restaurant, the food was amazing. My steak was cooked perfectly, my wife's chicken dish was juicy and full of flavor - the experience was exactly what we hoped for. It was such an experience that we made the decision to dine on New Year's Eve. This decision proved to be a mistake. My steak, ordered medium rare, was served with inconsistent temperatures throughout the steak that featured medium rare to medium well. The wait for our food and the general service left much to be desired despite the lack of people in the restaurant. Overall, Churrascos features a pleasant and intimate atmosphere, and I'd choose to eat here again during a slow time to ensure the quality of my food. However and due to this previous experience, I am unable to provide high praise for a restaurant that prices itself as one that deserves it.

This time I called in an order for tallarines saltados and two whole chickens for my family. They told me it would be ready in an hour, which was fine. When I arrived to pick it up, the owner handed me the food and casually said he replaced my tallarines with lomo saltado -- without asking me first. He said it was "a better choice" and that they were out of tallarines. I told him clearly that I did not want lomo saltado, but he kept insisting, so I just took it to avoid arguing. When we got home, the real problem started -- both chickens were undercooked, tough, and hard to chew. It was so bad that I told my kids and family not to eat any of it, and I ended up throwing everything in the trash. I paid good money for this meal, and we didn't get to eat at all. Changing an order without consent and serving raw chicken is not acceptable. I won't be coming back.
