Dynamite Roll
Jen L.

We had a great experience at MF Bar! We had an early reservation on Saturday night and got sat right away. All the servers were so nice and friendly and drinks were refilled right away without asking. The decor was very modern and clean. The food was also delicious! We started with the Edamame appetizer and a Peach Martini. The drinks here are made well and the bartenders actually know what they are doing!! We were impressed. I ordered the Dynamite Roll, Sweetheart Roll, and Snow Crab Tempura Roll. My favorite roll was the Snow Crab roll! I wish the rolls were a bit bigger but they were very tasty! Prices were around $20+ per roll. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I'd recommend trying this restaurant for sure!

First time visiting and heard about it through my husband's friend. Cool, chic, and beautifully casual. The staff was attentive service was impeccable and food was amazing! We had appetizers, followed by rolls and a couple of orders of the pork belly yakitori. Yum! We definitely will be going back.

We love our servers Viet, Tommy, Chris, Thai and Tre. The food is honestly the best Sushi in Georgia . I had a dear friend really introduce me to the world's best sushi. He orders off menu and I was shocked how they served us. It was professional grade service with a smile. The ambience sets the mood!

We went on a whim on a Saturday since we were already at Avalon and it was the best surprise although I personally do not eat sushi. My husband loves sushi, so I joined and got chicken breast yakitori and a cucumber roll with a side of spicy mayo and it was great. My husband got a house salad, a tuna & a salmon roll, as well as tuna nigiri and said it was great and tasted fresh. We will 100% be back for him since he raved about how GOOD the tuna nigiri was. The ambiance was chill and the workers were friendly too.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon (sort of on a whim) with a couple of friends and my baby and we were greeted and seated right away! Service was spectacular, the restaurant was busy but somehow still nice and fairly quiet, and the sushi was phenomenal. I had been craving sushi like no other, and for my first sushi meal after an entire year of not having it, this spot definitely filled my sushi bucket and cured my craving (although now I just want to go back every weekend). The menu isn't as large as other Japanese spots, and that made for quick and easy decision making. We all shared a few different rolls, but the Dynamite roll was a stand out. The Crunchy roll and Spicy Tuna Crispy box were also delicious.

Lunch date with my daughter and amazing experience at MF, from ambience, to food quality and service. Wow! Let's start with our server Daniel who was simply great, that perfect amount of friendly and professional. Yellowtail Jalapeño delicious and so were all the rolls we tried but the dish that is still stuck in my mind is the Wagyu Roll. Oh my God! Cannot wait to go back for more.

Loved everything about my meal at M.F Bar. From the exceptional service, food and drinks. Personally I loved the black cod and the baked scallops.

We have been here multiple times over the years. I don't remember ever having bad food. Some of my friends think the cuisine isn't authentic but it is definitely great and tasty food each visit. Chutoro nigiri and avocado balls melts in the mouth. MF lychee cocktails was great too Ambience: 5/5 Services: 3 or 4 depending on the person Food: 4/5

The first restaurant we tried after moving into this new city and I have to say, my husband and I are obsessed. Sushi was so fresh as well the ginger haha probably ate the whole bowl of ginger and that's a first for me. We got a sweetheart roll and lobster roll and both were terrific. Service was so quick and our sever/ bartender were so attentive to our needs. Ambiance and décor is also a 10/10. Must visit spot!

Best sushi in Atlanta area imo. We ate here for dinner and at nobu the next day. Nobu was delicious, don't get me wrong, but MF takes the crown for value. We loved the yuzu sauce on the sashimi. We will be back next time we're in Atlanta! Make sure to stop by Jeni's for gooey butter cake ice cream afterwards.

MF Bar nails the ambiance -- sleek, modern, and perfect for a night out or special occasion. The vibe is upscale and super chill, and the menu is packed with a lot of interesting options. From sushi to eggplant. Everything I tried was seriously delicious. Service was almost too good. The drink menu is a standout, with some unusual and cool cocktails you won't find everywhere. If you like experimenting with new flavors, you'll definitely find something intriguing here. That said, the price is nuts. The food and drinks are fantastic, but it comes at a steep cost. It's the kind of place you hit for a special treat, not your go-to for a casual dinner.

Noah changed our lives for the better! The food was amazing & we're so glad we followed the recommendations of our server!! One of the best meals we've ever had!

Super intimate atmosphere, servers were really attentive Food: Must get the salmon carpaccio - very innovative with the truffle mousse, surprising the truffle didn't overwhelm the salmon Salmon belly sashimi - really generous portion but the fish could be a little colder Hollywood Roll - super refreshing and the cucumber added that nice crisp texture, really good for summer Toro Osaka Box Style Roll - rice seemed too soft but toro was amazing with the masago and sriracha

Sushi is great and prices are more than fair! Gave it 4 stars only because the service is not always the best.

Extremely average sushi unfortunately. You literally get the same or better quality at a grocery store. So disappointed.

We ordered the deviled eggs appetizer, my husband ordered the crab cakes, and I ordered the lettuce wraps app as my main. The crab cakes were really good (I had a bite or two), and the buns were unexpected but delicious! The lettuce wraps were also very good, but honestly not what I thought a lettuce wrap would be. I've seen other pictures of them that were much more traditional finger food for brunch, so not sure if they changed them entirely or if this is just dinner version. Tasty, but obviously not for picking up... it would be tricky to wrap them up in that tiny piece of lettuce and I did not want to get dripped on with the sauce. So, if knife and fork lettuce wraps were a thing - this would be it! I think the bib lettuce makes it hard as it's so frail and flimsy, so if I had any suggestions, maybe it would be to try wrapping them from a head of lettuce for a bigger, more firm piece of lettuce. Dessert was a strawberry shortcake. Nice finish to a richly flavored dinner. My husband asked for an espresso and it came in a huge mug. Not sure if this is standard, or if they ran out of demitasse cups. Service was more attentive on front end, but less as they got busy and our server got more tables. I asked another server for water refill and then a manager brought us a dessert menu since our server disappeared. He showed up with the check and we had to tell him we wanted dessert. We made reservation through open table and got seated immediately. When we left, the little lobby area was packed so we definitely went at the right time. I think the servers were getting a little overwhelmed (and I cannot blame them). Still a great view and worth the hassle of finding parking in downtown Alpharetta.

Everything was delicious and excellent. Solid flavors, ample portions. We did have some leftovers, but $75 for the Paella is a pretty hefty sum. With the Resy deal it was well worth it, but without it I'm not sure I'd get it again. Still, plenty of other things to choose from and I'm sure everything is excellent. All things considered, an overall solid restaurant and definitely better than an "ordinary" 4 star meal!

The Bacon Wrapped Dates were some of the best I've ever had. The bacon itself was noticeably high quality and perfectly cooked, which made all the difference. Combined with the sweet dates and glaze, the dish was absolutely outstanding. We both got the Apples & Blue Cheese Salad with serrano ham, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfect for summer. My friend loved her shrimp tacos as well. The service was warm, attentive, and just super friendly. We sat on the patio and had a relaxing lunch despite the summer heat. Being in the heart of busy downtown Alpharetta, parking can be a bit of a challenge, but that's simply part of the territory and certainly not a knock on the restaurant itself. This wasn't a full dinner experience, just a quick stop while we were in the area, but it definitely lived up to the hype. I'm already looking forward to coming back, spending more time, and exploring the rest of the menu.

So pretty and thoughtfully appointed. A neutral setting that had comfortable seating and lovely lighting. Probably a good idea to bring your readers if you need them to see the menu! Haha! Our server was lovely and so relaxed. He explained many things on the menu to us and offered guidance as to what he thought we might like. He did not miss a mark! We all had a cocktail Very refreshing! Then we got the 8 Spread Sampler. It came with a variety of fresh traditional spreads. Some I was familiar with and others I had never had before. Each was amazing and paired together on the fresh lavash and bread, the four of us ate them all, along with the little tray of olives and olive oil that come to the table while you're looking at the menu. We also ordered calamari. Fantastic. Served with two spreads that enhanced the flavors! They were chunky calamari pieces, but tender! By this time, we were all feeling full, so we skipped mains and went right to dessert! We had rice pudding. It did not disappoint! An incredible custardy texture that held its own on the spoon. Pleasantly flavored and not too sweet! I also had a Turkish coffee that had me wide eyed and ready for the rest of the evening! Truly delightful meal. The restaurant itself is so pleasant to be in. Our server (I wish I got his name). He offered lots of explanations and guidance when we asked what he thought. He did an excellent job moving us through the plates! We were not rushed at all and felt like we could have stayed (if our stomachs allowed us) longer to have more of the menu! We will absolutely be back! We thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening! Thank you!

It's a beautiful spot to go overall though I would hate to come by when it's busy just because of how some of the seating can be quite close to others. They have a lunch course, which is what drew me to stopping by to begin with. 4 courses for lunch at $25? That's surprising, and a lot more food than I normally go for when grabbing lunch. You start with a choice of soup or salad, and they change it every day supposedly. I opted for soup since I haven't had a yogurt based soup before, and it was nice though you can taste the sourness of the yogurt. Then you can choose from the listed spreads, and my friends and I each chose a different one to try as much as possible... and they were all great! I liked the mutabbel the most out of all of them, a good smoky eggplant with some fried onions for more depth of flavor. The hummus was nice, though my heart has a favorite elsewhere so the one here didn't sway me. The htipiti though? Most flavorful of them all and feta forward. For the entree, I believe they give half of the amount they normally do for dinner, which makes sense, but it's all still filling nonetheless. I liked the adana kebab the most as the meat was tender and well seasoned. I was already way too full for dessert, and it had to be a rice pudding the day we visited for lunch, but I still ate it up all the same. It was creamy, not very sweet, though the pistachios were kind of stale. We had a good time, and I like that we were able to bring the spreads home because they were perfect to snack with afterwards. I'd love to stop by for lunch more often, but I'm not really in the area, so I guess I'll have to visit for dinner.
