Beef & Lamb Kebab, hubby loved it!!
    Rachelle P.

What great staff and a very nice seating area! Hubby and I stopped in with our sleeping toddler during their dinner hours. We ordered the Beef & Lamb Kebab and Beef & Lamb Shawarma. Hubby loved his kebab plate!! Mmm Wow, was my first reaction to my shawarma!! The falafel ball was a delicious surprise and I LOVED the flavorful meat! This small business focuses on fresh and healthy, 100% organic, non-gmo dishes! This includes dairy-free and sugar-free desserts! The word "Mezé" means taste or snack! We'll be back soon to devour the rest of the menu! SYOY! :-)

Came in on 12/16/25 with my beautiful wife and adorable toddler, MeZe Eatery is located on Miller St in Grass Valley, CA. We came in hungry, promptly ordered our food, and sat down. The staff member who took our order was very knowledgeable and courteous. Kudos to that young man being professional while being busy. I ordered the Beef and Lamb fat Kebab Plate and it was amazing! I had several different styles of Mediterranean Cuisine but this restaurant was the tastiest, savoriest, finger-licking... the food size was plenty, the flavor astronomical, service was pristine, and the ambiance was casual. Muah! We will be returning again!

Returned for takeout this week and it's still delicious. The service was a bit faster, although it might have been my timing. I love that I can order an then wander stores on Mill Street and hear my name called over the outdoor speaker when my food is ready. Still the most delicious pita I've eaten!

    Great seating area

Delicious food and really quaint and comfortable seating. They offer quick counter service and call your name to come pick it up.

I am submitting an update- The food was great. The service was fantastic! The guy at the register is such a joy. And the presentation was perfect. This just may be my favorite restaurant in Grass Valley now. Thank you!

Beef & Lamb Kebab plate. Delish. Would have liked a little more pita!

Solid! Incredibly high quality food, slightly higher prices than I was expecting for Grass Valley, but I'm always willing to pay for fresh, locally sourced food. Ordered online, arrived to a BUSY Friday night and my order had not yet been filled. I wasn't in a hurry, so I sat and waited. It was 20 minutes after my scheduled pickup time, but the staff thanked me for my patience.... They were hustling back there for sure so I didn't mind. The food was excellent - fresh and flavorful. Portions were on the smaller side so I'm glad I ordered the full pita and not the half. The raw desserts were awesome for this lactose-intolerant girl! Extra points for the compostable to-go containers!

this place is a hidden Gem. every dish we tried was fresh and delightful. The vibrant falafels were so tasty we ordered seconds. get those for sure. the desserts were also very tasty, and i think dairy free, which made them more impressive. the aromas wafting in the kitchen on a cold day were so cozy and intoxicating, and the service was also memorable with genuine smiles and attentive care. I even left with a little treat, a clipping of a long pathos they had. This place serves cozy joy.

A rose for the review !

Excellent Grass Valley eatery with the Best Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food. Get the Meze plate with all the great hummus, baba ganoush, etc. The full pita sandwich deluxe version, is excellent. They even have gluten free pita, and the regular version is fluffy & delicious. The restaurant has both an indoor dining area and a little outdoor seating space. This is one of my go-to restaurants in the twin towns (GV and NC).

The heat lamps were on in the enclosed area out front and they have cushions for the wrought iron chains and a shelf of blankets for customers to use. Complimentary Chilean bread rolls brought to the table right away with garlic herb butter, salsa verde sauce (chimicuri like) so good, made the old fashioned way with pork fat. Calamari Frito, Cajun seasoning, light and crunchy with a house made tarter sauce (excellent server brought us an additional tarter) Crab stuffed chili Relleno was a creative version of this meal I've eaten dozens of times, feta and a sweet sauce with the rock crab was delicious. Panqueque especial ,chorizo had a little kick but was cooled off by the pineapple and sweetness of the crepe. All baked together with rice, cheese, guac, veggie's on the side, this was a big meal that was packed with a savory mix of flavors,my favorite thing I sampled. Honey shirachi shrimp, jalapeno, bacon, pineapple,on slaw. Big shrimp, big taste in the sauce, excellent appetizer or can be ordered as a full meal. Fort Rock beer on tap ,live music, fun place and I will be back.

I'll reserve judgment on the vegetarian entre options until we have tried more. First try was a bit bland even with ordering extra hot peppers. The vegetarian taco is a nice option, but it really tastes like a tofu scramble in a tortilla. In other words, it is great that there is a vegetarian taco option. It is unfortunate that it feels like an afterthought.

We were very hungry by the time we sat down due to the long, wait, but it was well worth it. However, that are hunger. I forgot to take very good food pictures. The kitchen and historic charm of the decor hides a quite spacious restaurant that is decorated with historic furnishings, and adorable crayon pictures colored by local children. The menu is varied and has something for everyone. I tried the potato pancakes, which are hashbrowns mixed with cheese and garlic and onions on top with pesto sauce and eggs, and I must say that they were a delightful surprise, crispy and savory and worth every bite. My friends ordered the tofu breakfast burrito at Cuevo rancheros along with the bacon and egg breakfast at all said they were. We chose to share a three person mimosa, which includes a bottle of champagne and juice of your choice to accompany, and it was just perfect for our group. Our survey Anna was very busy, but made sure to check on us after serving the food and made sure that the food was served our liking and responded to every request we had. I would definitely plan on waiting in line on the weekends. They have a self-service waiting list and they will call you - inside or outside- when your table is ready. We waited a full 45 minutes on a Sunday around 11:00 am. Worth the wait, though!

Ambiance is rustic as you are in an old building near downtown but is roomy and clean with lots of seating. Food and drinks: Coffee and iced tea: both good and refills kept coming. Lobster Benedict- 3.5/5. Eggs were overcooked to medium. The hollandaise was spicy but good. Lobster was a little overwhelmed by the sauce and the potatoes needed more crisp and seasoning. Biscuit and sausage gravy with a medium egg- 3.5/5. The egg was perfectly over medium. The biscuit was light and fluffy. The gravy was good but it was ham gravy ...not sausage (just FYI). We would go back and try something different.

I'm submitting a review today because I always enjoy their food, service, and ambience, always delightful, special, and the experience is both home cooked and international, but also super personable (if you frequent) and very casual and fun! I simply today want to note how amazing the very certain, peaking flavors that are still tingling on my lungs, of the basil, chili chemistry, and Lao curry magjick I just experienced last Friday I cannot get off my mind, and body, today of the 4th day past! I admittedly am having an absolute sense of remorse; I am traveling to the Bay Area this upcoming weekend and will miss this Friday dinner at my FAVORITE Lao/Eastern Family Food Restaurant in the world. (I have been to Laos n Thailand, each their own, and Panoy and their family at the restaurant, deliver one of the most authentic Eastern experiences of community, food, and fun in getting to know a very slender, sliver of the magjick that lives in Gold Country California in 2026.) If you have yet to eat (and frequent, perhaps) Panoy, go directly in return or for your first time, and experience the fresh, rejuvenating invigorating palate Panoy brings to their community and extended family they share their business with. I'll be bringing my extended Bay Area friends and family there, as they visit me, home. Springing your way there w/your beloveds would be a great way to share a sense of specialty, reserve, and you'll be remembered for the great hosting in extending your family's taste, to Panoy's exquisite offerings and dishes, of the best nuance of Lao orient.
