What a gteat location in Grass Valley! They just opened 4 days ago! Located in The Fowler Center where B and C and Savmart is located. The address is 2072 Nevada City Highway. What i love about this place is it feels warm and friendly and it is brand new! They have all types of chocolates (love the dark chocolate turtles) and jelly beans. They have italian ice with so many flavors to choose from. There is ample parking inside this shopping center. Warm and inviting and smells delicious! Everything is made in house and displays are well done. Everything is well marked for you to peruse! The owner..David...is friendly and helpful. We really needed a place like this where parking is plentiful. I will definitely be back because the location is ideal! Well done!

What a fun experience, we were introduced to David the owner. What a sweetheart period will definitely make the circle to ice cream joint.

Santa's here! What a nice surprise.

The ice cream was very good. A little pricey, but very good. I guess everything costs more these days, so I just need to get over it.

Not to mention, I found two more fun magnets for my travel collection. There's nothing to say this store is one of a kind, but I do appreciate that it's a small local business. I only saw a store associate at checkout, and she was pretty friendly. The prices were also reasonable, so I left feeling satisfied overall with my visit.

After just purchasing some items from the store, my daughter wanted to look at the Mickey and Minnie Christmas houses. I am pregnant and currently can't hold my daughter for long periods of time- she carefully was looking at the houses but got excited and her finger bumped a shelf while trying to show me something. An item fell off the shelf and broke. My daughter immediately started crying because she was being so careful and felt bad it broke. While I was trying to reassure her, a sales gal came over and started telling me that she broke part of a set and was very frustrated. I offered to pay for the piece but she continued to be incredibly rude, all while my daughter was crying because it was an accident. I understand pieces in the store can be pricey, but after offering to pay for the broken item, I would've expected a significant change in attitude. This is a store with great items, but I won't be shopping there again.

Glad that The Truffle Shop was open on Monday when I stopped in looking for some shade an a cooler spot to be for a bit. The collection of hand-crafted truffles was not only beautiful and wildly unique with its flavor profiles, but complimented by the artistic space of the petite shop. It was all a visual delight, before even getting to choosing the chocolates. As it was a warm day, I didn't order as many as I might have otherwise as I was sure that the truffle treats would melt before we could enjoy them properly - savoring each tasty bite. I did get a dark chocolate/cherry one for me, and Matcha tea flavor for Dear Hubby, who wasn't with me at the time. I had a nice chat with the gentleman running the shop. He may have been the owner, coming from the back with a tray of more truffles to fill out the display cases. Thankfully on a warm afternoon, they had chilled bottled water for sale, too. After making my purchase and taking a few photos of the whimsical interior, I sat and enjoyed my truffle at the little bistro table in the outside hallway. It was a perfect little respite before more strolling on Broad Street again.

I only realized after the wedding that she's an organic farmer which made my esteem for her (and her prices!) rise even more. She's professional, super friendly, organized, a great communicator and incredibly talented at arrangements. Deena listened to my ideas and interpreted them perfectly. From my end it was tricky to explain everything I wanted because I couldn't find a picture that captured the look. So we reviewed lots of different photos where I pointed out the aspects I liked in each. She explained all the flowers available for the season and was such a great communicator that I really felt I was in safe hands. I totally was. She was very generous with her time and advice from the initial consultation to perfecting the flower crown on the wedding day (not that it needed improvement, it actually made me cry it was so beautiful, but it needed slight trimming here and there when we saw it with my hair). When she delivered the flowers I was so overwhelmed that my vision was there in front of me. Her arrangements and flower crown were works of art. So delicate and effortless but also powerful and stunning. I don't know how she did it. I HOPE I can work with her again.

I was probably most excited for the flowers in the lead up to our wedding... and the flowers on the day were even more beautiful than we even imagined!!!! We also got to visit the farm and align on which flowers we liked best, this was definitely a highlight of the whole summer for us. Our visit was so fun. Deena & her team are so warm, welcoming, highly responsive and collaborative, and incredible at what they do. If you're looking for a florist I can't recommend Sweet Roots enough.
