The shop owner was very friendly and helpful. Our cousin bought a chocolate drink and a chocolate bar. *Xocolatada House Cacao: Guatemalan ceremonial cacao, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, raw cacao powder, coconut sugar, mesquite pod powder, house-made cashew milk (4/5). We got to sip some of his ice cold drink! It was cool, rich, creamy, chocolate-y yumminess with a somewhat "gritty texture". Enjoyable anytime! *Definite 70% Öko-Caribe (V): This two-ingredient chocolate bar is made with cacao from Öko-Caribe, located in Pimentel in the Duarte province, the largest cacao growing region in the country. The tasting notes of this chocolate are citrus fruits, dried fruits and nuts. Support your local business.

I've had a daily ceremonial practice for a long time, and all I wanted to know was how many grams was in their ceremonial cacao drink. The negative vibes were palpable. I should have just walked out.

You'll miss out on some lovely handmade truffles that taste delicious and are beautiful too! By the time we arrived Sunday, shops were starting to close up. Glad that The Truffle Shop was open on Monday when I stopped in looking for some shade an a cooler spot to be for a bit. The collection of hand-crafted truffles was not only beautiful and wildly unique with its flavor profiles, but complimented by the artistic space of the petite shop. It was all a visual delight, before even getting to choosing the chocolates. As it was a warm day, I didn't order as many as I might have otherwise as I was sure that the truffle treats would melt before we could enjoy them properly - savoring each tasty bite. I did get a dark chocolate/cherry one for me, and Matcha tea flavor for Dear Hubby, who wasn't with me at the time. I had a nice chat with the gentleman running the shop. He may have been the owner, coming from the back with a tray of more truffles to fill out the display cases. Thankfully on a warm afternoon, they had chilled bottled water for sale, too. After making my purchase and taking a few photos of the whimsical interior, I sat and enjoyed my truffle at the little bistro table in the outside hallway. It was a perfect little respite before more strolling on Broad Street again.

The next morning, we heard from the locals the Choc-O-Latte that serves good breakfast so we went. It is known for its specialty coffees, lattes, and a wide variety of chocolates and desserts, including truffles, eclairs, and s'mores treats. The cafe offers a cozy, historic atmosphere making it a great spot for a quick treat. The cafe has an outdoor patio, and is dog-friendly as we met one who was popular and friendly with the locals. We ordered almond croissants and lattes and were delicious. Other friend had ice cold chai latte. The servers were young and nice. We don't mind returning to their nice cafe shop if we are in the area.

What a quaint little coffee shop in downtown Sutter Creek!…read more We were running some errands the other week and I needed an afternoon pick-me-up. I remembered that Chocolatte was nearby and decided to go support a local business. It's been a hot minute since I've gotten a coffee from them, and I was intrigued by their Valentine's Day menu. Ultimately I went with an iced Cupid's Cherry Kiss, while my husband wanted an affogato with extra shot. The staff were friendly and efficient at making our beverages. While we waited, we took a seat by the window to people watch. My drink was so cute, especially with the sprinkles. They added a lovely texture to a velvety chai. I appreciated that it wasn't too sweet even with the sprinkles and cherry white chocolate. As expected, the affogato was strong with the extra shot, but still smooth without being bitter. I need to remember to come back to Chocolatte more often. There's plenty of seating and the vibes are so cozy. Prices are okay, a little high but I'd rather be supporting a local business than Starbucks. They also have various pastries to choose from. We didn't get any this time but they all looked so fresh and good. PS: They also serve Gunther's ice cream!
