Chicken teriyaki.. supposedly.
Huong L.

I have to say, I was fairly disappointed with this place. I came for lunch and got the teriyaki dish which came with chicken, pork, some veggies, 2 potstickers and rice. First off, they gave a LOT of rice and a very very small side of the main entree. Second, the rice was very dry and bland. I was only able to eat half of it because it needed the meat for it to be edible and since I was out of entree, I couldn't finish the rice. Third, it was not teriyaki. It was like Kung Pao chicken but not as good either. I also couldn't tell which was chicken and which was pork. Lastly, at the bottom of the entree is a pool of oil... Definitely will not be coming back here for lunch. I rather just go to panda Express or a fast food chain for food.

Seattle Club sandwich

It's a convenient convenience store that is located at the bottom of an apartment building, so if you live nearby you can come by at your convenience for convenient items. Located at the corner of Republican & Pontius under the Stack House Apartments. Came by midday on Saturday because I was in the area, stopped by to get a sandwich and a drink. As mentioned, there are a bunch of convenient items for you to buy, drinks, coffee and food items. There is a deli inside with a coffee bar if you are hungry, and I was. I decided to try one of their sandwiches and got the Seattle Club. It was actually pretty good, you get a choice of bread so I got ciabatta, comes with turkey, ham, lettuce, tomato, bacon and mayo & mustard. You can get the bread toasted as well, so I did. All meats are Boar's Head brand if that matters to you. They do have quite a bit of food items, there's a food bar with hot & cold items, soups, they make sandwiches, all kinds of chips, cookies etc. Place offers some ledge seating along the edge, 2 couches and a couple of tables with some TV's in the background to watch. Prices are pretty average for a sandwich and drink, so yea nothing exciting there. Staff was friendly, worked quickly to get your food made etc. Probably come back for convenience.

Chipotle chicken sandwich #5

My first time getting food here, my mom had an appointment at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and I walked over to get something to eat. The guy was super kind and the sandwich was really good! I got the #5-chipotle chicken bacon sandwich on sourdough bread

The sandwich tastes great. I had a Seattle Club and it was yummy. The place is also very spacious and clean.

Excellent breakfast sandwiches. Ownership and employees changed somewhat recently and this place got way better.

Go to the one on Yale, 3 blocks away. Better selection, and they stay open until their posted hours.

Don't order food. It will take like an hour to get it. Incredibly understaffed. People working there are incredibly rude.

It's really cute and the couches are cozy. Great sandwiches! Everyone is really nice. A little pricey though.

The food was, as always, awesome. I had The Gooch (which I have been jonesing to have again for years!), my partner has Va Va Shroom, and our friend had Emilio Pestevez. We also shared some fries. My only disappointment was the ambiance. I remember it being packed with various Capital Hill denizens, sassy wait staff, and joyful exuberance. This time, it was a ghost town. No one greeted us, we ordered on their phone app, and then food just suddenly appeared. The waiter was friendly but promptly disappeared again. The only other humans we saw were occasional DoorDash drivers picking up their orders. We were perfectly capable of entertaining ourselves...but as a finally leaving the house to eat in a real sit down restaurant experience it left a resounding meh. I was reminded of an episode of the revived X-files, when Muldar and Scully were trapped in automated restaurant hell, although we did manage to produce our own good time. See attached photo which we decided should be our next album cover - Break thru in the Red Room.

Really good sandwiches!…read more I was visiting Seattle for work and during my break, I decided to go to the Armory for lunch. This was certainly a great choice, the food is excellent! I had their Philly Cheesesteak, which was awesome. Everything is cooked to order, so there is a slight wait after ordering, but it is certainly worth it. There are also seats and tables outside of the spot for you to eat at, it's shared with a few other restaurants. If you really want an exciting time, eat there while a Zumba is going on! Then you can people watch while enjoying your food.

Chicago Italian Hot Beef, Philly Cheesesteak, smash burger and a variety of other quick service beef meals with fries. The service was good and the food was served hot. Everything is packaged to go and there is a large communal seating area in the center of the building. When you order your meal, everything was entered onto a computer screen and paid before your get your food. The Italian Hot Beef didn't come with cheese so I had to add it as an upcharge where it then became more expensive than the Philly cheesesteak. That didn't make sense but it was a good portion size and the flavors were perfect. They have Pepsi products for beverages and although the only condiment they have is Ketchup the other food stall may have a better selection if you need.

I usually engage with someone at a restaurant snd ask for their advice or input when deciding what to order. Salumi is countertop screen or online order only. Staff are focused on making your sandwich and are available to answer questions, but the place gets very crowded and this won't always be possible. I love eggplant parmigiana and was delighted that the sandwich came with a (warm!) cup of marinara. The marinara was a generous portion, a tad spicy, and I soaked up every drop. The sandwich roll was good, average. The toppings were tasty, and sufficient. The eggplant itself was a bit disappointing. The breading was perfectly crispy and light, but the eggplant was sliced so thinly that it was almost an eggplant flavored chip instead of the customary meaty texture. The balance was just off, unfortunately.. Recommend ordering online because this place gets crowded during the lunch rush.

Their bagels are fabulous as is their lox. For those, like me, who can unhinge their jaw for an authentic pastrami or corned beef masterpiece. Go with the "Ding sized" sandwich. They'll make a smaller Seattle sized version as well for those who don't treat deli as an indulgence of rye and meat piled high. I wish they'd add kreplach to the menu (sorry Vance. I know my litany is old!) but I keep discovering new deliciousness here even after being a regular for nearly 4 years since my recovery from a life threatening illness, that I recovered from in part due to making regular stops here during my post surgical recovery. Just today I had the blintzes for the first time with their in house made cherry compote and sour cream. Amazing. Keep up the amazing work!!! My recommendation for newbies. Get the pastrami on marbled rye with gribenes and mustard. If you're feeling extra indulgent ask for a schmear of chopped liver, if you're keen on said. You won't regret it!

And pretty much no chicken in it. The "famous hash and eggs" equally underwhelmed. The "hash" mixture seemed to be from yesterday or older, mostly potato, with little corned beef. There was nothing "famous" about it. I tried the fresher corned beef sandwich my friend got and felt the fresh corned beef was quite good - hence the upgrade from 2 to 3 stars here. It's counter service, they bring the food (no numbers for tables makes this a bit of a trial and error) . Coffee is self serve and there is a sign saying refills are $2.75.... how un-American.
