Fresh made sandwiches hit the spot. Tried the Philly and added lettuce and tomato. Had it toasted. I'd prob swap out the cheddar for a different cheese; not because it was bad but I thought it was too strong against the other ingredients. Toasting was an ace choice. I didn't get to it until it cooled down but it was still crunchy and it rocked! Same guy there as always who is courteous and does his best handling food orders and the occasional customer. The store has a large selection of bodega/minimart items but I only window shop those items while I wait for my sandwich . The aisles feel a bit crowded but clean and the stock looks tidy. Got a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Wasn't sure if the place was open from the outside. The guy working was on his earbuds the entire time I was there, even as multiple customers came in. But the sandwich was good and the coffee I got (basic black drip) was exactly what I wanted. I'll likely return. read more

So I really liked the sandwich I used to get from them I used to get a sandwich every other day before work. I felt the price was worth it and it seemed like decent service so I would even tip and buy the overpriced energy drinks. Then they started hanging up on phone calls and then putting their phone on busy but then when you go in they are always taking personal calls and hardly ever even acknowledge the customer unless it's a single girl. read more

Hilltop Deli is a convenient spot for basic necessities and accoutrements in the downtown area. The deli has fresh sandwiches, lots of refreshments, wine and beer, ice cream, packaged foods, frozen foods, and basic first aid and pharmaceutical supplies. Staff is friendly and the hours are great. There is a markup for things and some stuff is probably on the shelf for a while. But it's a long walk to find other comparable inventory so it's definitely convenient for locals and folks in the neighborhood. read more

Let me set the scene, it was close to 9pm, I'm starving and have a throbbing headache and stomach cramps. I roll up to the deli and I'm greeted by the very nice cashier. I was worried that it was too late to order a sandwich but he told me I could. They have all boars-head products, which are the bomb! I got a custom sandwich with oven gold Turkey, smoked Gouda, bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onions, deli mustard and some mayo and it was inhaled as soon as I got home. Truly it was the sandwich of my dreams. This place is very convenient! It's a tiny little deli that had a baby with a convenience store as they have medicine, some frozen stuff, drinks, a wine section, and liquor. I got my sandwich, some Ellenos yogurt, chocolate, water and apple juice and it was all very fast to grab and go. Thank you! They also have a square or clover machine so they take Apple Pay or Samsung pay if you need it which is also very helpful as I don't like carrying money on me in the city. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing here. It's a close walk from the convention center, so I came here with a friend to get coffee, snacks, and of course the breakfast sandwich. They have a whole deli full of Boars Head meats and you can build your own breakfast sandwich. I chose to get a croissant sandwich with honey ham and Swiss cheese. I was so full after eating half because he really piled on the meat. I was happy to have a mid afternoon snack with the other half. The employee with saw both visits was very nice and was happy to help make us our sandwiches. He even offered chilled milk from the fridge for our coffees. I wish I lived in this state so I could get sandwiches here all the time! If you are in the area for a convention or just around Pikes Place, this convenient store is worth the walk! read more

Wait time aside and the people buying beer at 8:30am, I found a whole ass creature in my coffee. Sandwich was subpar and nothing seemed "fresh" which is fine but don't advertise as such. Another awesome spot In 9th Ave & 8th Ave, The hilltop Deli has great breakfast sandwiches. They offer other options but I really like the sandwiches. I only been here once so I'm not very familiar with their menu but is definitely a place to come back and eat different dishes. This deli is on the corner of my home. I honestly wan/ like supporting local store or just goin to my local deli:market. This is my fourth time in here. And honestly 1person out of everyone. I assume I know the whole staff by now. But the service:( sad! They look sad, looks like they hate life or hate working here. Or maybe the country song they always have playing. Everything except a good beer selection. Wines from every country, great chocolate/cheese/ice cream/snacks, and the breakfast sandwiches are especially good! My only improvement would be stocking more than pale ales in their coolers. Seriously, I think there was only one stout, one porter, and a couple brown/red ales. The remainder of the selection is 20+ different IPAs from various craft breweries, obviously a personal thing, but I can't stand IPAs. read more

Their menu is off from what you actually get. I Ordered the Italiano and got a sandwich slathered in mayo and the menu board says nothing about mayo. When I asked why there was mayo i was informed that there are two versions but wasn't asked which one i wanted and there was nothing on the menu that said there were two versions either. So Be sure to make sure to specify what toppings you want on your sandwich because they will put whatever they want on it it if you dont. Disappointing because i hate mayo so couldnt enjoy my sandwich...Would have given 5 stars if menu was more specific and the person making the food asked which one i wanted. read more
