Listen- call these guys. When I got locked out of my car I called 6 locksmith companies and Metrolocks has the best pricing and the kindest employees (from the receptionist to the locksmith). Getting back into my car cost $55 (which is $30 less than what most other companies will quote you), and Amir was easy going and very quick to arrive and to get the car unlocked. It took about a half hour from the time I called, to have my keys back; whatever they quote you on the phone will be accurate. I locked my keys out of the car. I called two other companies that had 5 star reviews, but got voicemails for both and no return calls. Amir answered the phone when I called, was here in less than 30 minutes, and had my car unlocked in less than 5 minutes. The best part: Amir asked to see my ID before opening my car and then once open, asked as to see my registration or insurance cards with my name and car listed on them. I hope I never need his service again, but if I do...I know who to call. My life is complicated right now. My husband works in another state at the moment, and was out visiting for the weekend. In the process of it all we ran around town. At one point we got lunch, but one of the kids felt sick. So I took her out to the car and started it. When my husband got back to the car he removed my keys and put them in the console. I was distracted and didn't even realize this. He left later that day...and when he was several hours away I realized I couldn't find my keys. After spending a significant amount of time looking, we finally spotted them in a picture of the car I had taken (There was some trash in the console kinda hiding the keys)... My initial phone call was returned almost immediately, we agreed on a same-day appointment and I received a very reasonable estimate for installing a brand-new lock on a door in my home. (Earlier I talked to another company that was much higher.) On that cold, snowy appointment day, I received a call from technician John D. saying that he was able to come by earlier than scheduled--if that was OK with me. You bet! He arrived in a few minutes and assessed the situation. I live in an old house, and unfortunately the locks he had on hand didn't fit. But at an agreed-upon, nominal rate, he went to Home Depot, bought another lock and then drilled the lock hole a little larger to accommodate the new purchase. He worked quickly and efficiently to complete the job, was polite and professional, and also was very considerate of my pets (two scared parrots). Even with the extra hassle of going to Home Depot in a snowstorm, when he quoted my final rate, it was actually LOWER than the phone estimate. He said, "We are an honest company." I agree. I had a broken key in the door of my car and the spare key was stuck in the ignition. I called my mechanic and he told me it would cost $300 to $400 to replace the ignition. So, I called Metrolocks. Amir came out and really had to work hard (in 100 degree heat) to get everything fixed. He had to take the door apart to get the broken key removed. Then, he worked on the ignition until he got that key removed. He told me that the key was fine and proceeded to work on the ignition switch. A week later everything is still working perfectly. His price for all this work was extremely reasonable; he saved me a ton. I won't hesitate to call him again. read more
